"We could use that end--" they gestured to the far wall, "as the start, and that end--" They indicated the opposite wall, "as the finish?" Remora looked back at Stormkit.
Stormkit nodded and bounded over to where the start was, slipping slightly as she ran, bounding a bit like how an elder had once described as a deer, and she was quite curious to see one, one day. She skidded to a stop at the start, bits of shredded moss flying up as she did so. “C'mon!” the dappled kit called, her black and white ears flicking happily, a goofy grin spreading across her face.

The young cat smiled and walked over with considerably more elegance than the other kit. "Should I count to three for us?" they asked, eyes glittering with the excitement of playing with another cat for the first time in his short and lonely life. Remora wasn't particularly fast, but they had a slender frame that certainly made running easier.

[ I figured I'd start with the recent-birth of the kits & then time-skip, say, 3 moons ahead so you guys can rp them easier ]

SageFrost lied in her messy nest, curled around her first litter of kits, her flanks rising and falling with every labored breath. She had just completed welcoming her kits to the world, and she was exhausted. Her four kits were tucked at her belly, warmth flooding their small bodies. SageFrost's bushy tail rest limply against them, offering heat. It was a cold season, and she feared her kits would lack the strength to survive in such cold. She was offering them every chance at warmth possible.

She loved her kits very deeply, even if they've only been breathing for a few moments. Her eyes were closed as she focused on the movement of the four bundles of life at her belly. Meanwhile, she struggled to balance her breaths. Kitting was a very painful process, but the result was worth it.

Heartbeats passed, and SageFrost was finally breathing correctly. Her muscles ached terribly, though, but after naming her kits she decided she'd get some rest. Right now, she itched to brand each kit with a signature. Her bright blue eyes opened, and she lifted her head off her paws with great effort. She was already panting, and it took much of her strength simply to keep her head up. She cast her gaze over each kit, a deep purr rumbling in her throat. SageFrost's vibrant blue eyes shone with a mother's love for their kits.

She pressed her nose to the only female of the litter, a young molly who resembled her mother when it came to build. ``FalconKit,`` SageFrost breathed, a weak smile on her face. She then touched the dusty-gray tom-kit whose fur was as thick as her own. ``EchoKit.`` She moved on to the next kit, who also had their mother's pelt. In fact, this kit looked like FalconKit's twin. ``AshenKit.`` Next, SageFrost's damp nose touched another tom, the only cat in the litter to have short fur. ``BirchKit.``

Her mind began to drift to the kits' father, WrenClaw. SageFrost thought she knew him - but he turned out to be a flea-pelt. She was still dealing with the heartbreak of his actions, but right now, the pain was pushed back and replaced with the fresh love for her first litter of kits.

*
[ 3 moons later ]

SageFrost was sitting in her nest, her posture impressive as she sat straight. Her bushy tail was curled at her side, the tip lying over her paws as it flicked lazily. She flexed her toes beneath her tail, a low purr in her throat. Her head was raised, and there was a genuinely happy grin on her face as she watched over her kits.

However, her thoughts were jumbled. She simply denied her mind the ability to reveal her confusion to her offspring. They didn't need to know of her pain over WrenClaw's departure. She'd promised herself the moment of their birth that she'd always remain strong for them - they needed her to be. So she would be strong for her kits. Her haunting thoughts would remain just that - thoughts. Never to of been spoken aloud, always to just silently haunt her.

A few moons ago, just a while after she announced her expecting kits to WrenClaw, he left her, claiming that he had fallen out of love with her. She was heartbroken, as expected, but she succeeded in distracting herself from her mate's leaving as she awaited her kits' birth. She heard stress could affect a queen's unborn kits.

The truth had been revealed to her just moons into the past. WrenClaw had earned feelings for a different she-cat while he was SageFrost's mate. Basically, she felt cheated. She spent moons, wasted, on a tomcat who didn't even love her. She even bore their kits. Their kits. He didn't even deserve the title as the kits' father. For now on, he'd just be WrenClaw, their clanmate. FalconKit, EchoKit, AshenKit, and BirchKit would be SageFrost's kits, and SageFrost's kits only.

As for her feelings, she didn't have the correct words in her vocabulary to describe them. Actually, there weren't any words to describe them. She was just... feeling. She's been `feeling` since she learned of WrenClaw's betrayal. And adding the love for her kits to that tornado of emotion confused her further.

SageFrost was currently a mess. And the worst of all, she had nobody to turn to. She had been much too dependent on WrenClaw, turning everybody else who attempted to befriend her away. Now, she shamed herself for lacking independence.

She brought herself back to reality, blinking wildly as she did so. She shook her head discreetly, her smile faltering, but quickly returning. Tears threatened to flood her eyes, but SageFrost denied them the ability to escape. In an attempt to distract herself, she slipped her left forepaw out from beneath her tail, and brought it to her mouth where she drew a rough tongue over it. She automatically closed her eyes as she washed, but it worked in her favor as it prevented the tears from rushing down her cheeks.

Her mind begin to fill with images of her kits. FalconKit and AshenKit who looked so much alike. They had her own thick pelt, and similar patterns as their muzzles, tails, and ear-tips were colored. Instead of gray like SageFrost, their patterns were brown, proving their relation to WrenClaw. And FalconKit had bright green eyes where AshenKit had bright blue eyes. BirchKit reminded SageFrost so much of WrenClaw. His pelt was short like WrenClaw's and his face and tail were painted with the colors of WrenClaw's fur. Otherwise, he was white. And EchoKit, who had SageFrost's bushy pelt which had the colors of WrenClaw's. In general, her offspring were beautiful creatures in both appearance and personality.

SageFrost pulled her paw away from her mouth, returning it to the ground where she hid it beneath her tail. She then cleared her mind of WrenClaw and the pain he brought her, and she focused intently on her kits and the cheer they brought her.

It had been several moons since Wrenclaw spoke to Sageforst. The last he really saw of her, she was heavy with his kits. He didn't want them and he could care less about him being their father. Although recently with Twitefall rejecting him, Wrenclaw became lost and his paws had seemingly led him straight to the nursery where he heard mewls of play from inside. They could be anyone. What are you doing here? Sagefrost hates you, remember? he told himself, although he couldn't pull away from gazing into the nursery, his bright blue eyes which were normally shining were now dull with hurt and confusion. As they peered in, they rested on four kits in particular who look similar to him and Sagefrost. Just a few tail lengths away... Sagefrost. These were his kits. Wrenclaw's chest felt tight, but he forced himself to pad into the nursery, his gaze ignoring the kits now, resting solely on his ex-mate.
The unique looking tabby suddenly. He used to be able to just approach her, but now he kept his distance, his eyes were almost longing. "Sa-Sagefrost," he stuttered. He was seeking comfort now. He had no friends, just other she-cats, although he didn't trust them the way he thought he could trust her. Would Sagefrost be sad? Angry? Would she drive him away? Oh, how he hoped not in this moment, he looked defeated. His shoulders sagged and his tail was drooping. He purposely made himself appear this way, sure he was hurt, but not this hurt.

Yewkit peered over at her mother. She had never understood why she hated Heatherkit so much. Wasn't she her own? Didn't mothers love their kits no matter what they did? "Sorry Heatherkit" Yewkit whispered, hoping her mother didn't hear. She didn't like when any of her siblings got picked on. She might be the mos brutal of them all, but she -did- care

Heatherkits blue eyes looked like a puddle of tears, they were. She looked at her mother, "I'm going to play with Applekit and Yewkit," She hissed defensively "I believe you should go play with a rouge, you look like one, you will blend in!" she hissed at her brave little kitten "Your lucky enough that I adopted you after Silverwhisker died. She knew that speaking of her mother made Heatherkit depressed.

Falconkit was born. She was the first in her litter, and the first of her mother's. She knew nothing of the situation, and didn't understand the world, but all she knew was this:
Food. Warmth. Peace.
That was all she needed to know.

- - -

The three-month-old kitten was lying down on the nursery ground besides her mother. With nothing much better to do, Falconkit was gently lapping on her messy pelt. It was dewy and damp with the moisture that collected from inside the nursery's walls.

Her eyes flicked upwards when she heard a scuffling noise coming towards the nursery. It was a grown tomcat, one that she had never seen before. To be honest, she hadn't seen many tomcats in her short lifespan. Not many of them came into the nursery, for whatever reason. Her ears pricked up with slight curiosity, and before she knew it, the molly was on her paws. "Who's he?" She whispered towards Sagefrost, while keeping her eyes on the older tom. "Why is he calling you?"

Apurva was quite surprised by the sudden worry in his hes, and she tilted her head to one side. “I-I'm fi-?” she started to say, then broke off, even more confused than before as Timberpaw got up. She realized that she was cold, but how could he help her with that? It was leaf-bare, and anyways, his fur was shorter than hers, so really, he must be even colder than she. Then she was even more confused as Timberpaw got up and sat down next to her again, and when his tail brushed against her pelt, she felt an odd feeling that made her feel weird. Maybe I'm getting sick.... Maybe that's why I've been feeling so strange.... She thought, then realized that it did help a bit, having Timberpaw next to her. It felt strange, yes, but also good. Apurva wasn't sure how, or why, but it felt good to be next to him, just escaping the frigid temperatures. She sighed, flicking the tip of her tail uncertainly, not really sure what to do about this. She realized after moment that she was no longer cold, and instead felt quite warm, as if she'd been laying on a rock in the sun during Greenleaf. She didn't really want him to get up, and for a moment, she wasn't sure what he'd meant, and Apurva cast him a questioning glance, then looked down, feeling embarrassed. She wasn't sure quite how to respond to this, and she gave her chest fur a couple of embarrassed licks. “N-no, you don't have to leave... It f-feels with y-you here.” she replied, still stuttering a lot. It was difficult not to stutter, and her voice was fainter than she would've liked, but that wasn't important. She let her side press against his, and she rested her head on her paws again, yawning as she did. It was far warmer with Timberpaw there, and she knew that it wouldn't be ong before she fell asleep, though Apurva tried as hard as she could to keep awake. She shifted slightly and looked at Timberpaw, her green eyes intense. “Thanks” the molly and soon-to-be apprentice murmured, her voice barely a whisper. She blinked, but then closed her eyes and her breathing grew deeper and more even as she fell asleep in the nest, beside him, finally succumbing to the comforting darkness of sleep.

Timberpaw felt his pelt begin to heat up, as though he had just walked into the clearing in the middle of greenleaf, and he ducked his head, embarrassed. "O-oh, well I'm glad..." Timberpaw mewed, and then felt a sharp, electric jolt as Apurva pressed her own pelt against his. What do I do? Timberpaw thought in alarm, as he gave a small, nervous twitch of his tail. The movement was almost invisible to the eye, although you could hear the tip of it rustle against the ground as he made the movement. After the original electric jolt, his pelt felt warm- but it was a pleasant warmth, not uncomfortable or strange, and he began to purr a little as he relaxed.
He wished it would always be like this. Although he knew it wouldn't; someday the awkward feelings would come back, and he decided he would be ready for them when they did. Next time he would be ready to prove himself to...well, to himself, that he was able to handle these feelings.
Although he got the uneasy impression that, perhaps, he wouldn't be able to handle them. He couldn't remember ever feeling like this before, and it brought back the reason that he had begun flirting in the first place...he had learned that, if he wanted to stay away from something like this, he would have to fake it. All the way. But this was very, very real...and there was no way that he could fake it. From now on there was nothing that he knew how to do, everything was fuzzy and it was a new place that he had never been before. A sudden thought popped into his mind, right before Apurva fell asleep. Why is she stammering? Why is she so nervous? Timberpaw thought, and another warm feeling came over him. Was it possible that she felt the same way? Maybe she had never experienced this before either, maybe they would be able to figure this out together. But before Timberpaw could say anything, he glanced over at her and saw that she was fast asleep. Well...I guess that's a question for another time, anyway, He thought, relaxing further and curling his tail around her in a semi-protective manner as he fell asleep next to her.

Echokit's dusty pelt fluffed up as he saw the tom who was calling for their mother. The kit looked over his siblings and realized some of them looked like the tom but he didn't say anything, instead he sat up and watched him curiously. If he's our father why does he never visit? He thought, glancing over at his mother before returning his gaze to the tom. He couldn't help but think of reasons why the tom just had to be their father and why he'd never shown up. Surely he was only busy with important things, but then again, what is more important than your kits? The tom kit shuffled his paws and in his head pleaded the tom to look at him. Why won't he look at me? At us? Is there something wrong with us?

The breath was knocked out of her, and she scrambled to her paws, trying to catch up with the gray she-kit.

SageFrost's jaw dropped at the voice. The voice she believed herself to love, the voice that's been carved into her brain. She was quick to shut her mouth, as well as question how much nerve WrenClaw had. She'd barely heard FalconKit's question, and she was barely capable of answering it, but somehow, she did. ``It's not important, darling,`` SageFrost purred at her oldest kit. ``Why don't you go play with your brothers?`` SageFrost swung her head down to draw her rough tongue over FalconKit's forehead. As she did this, she raised her forepaw and offered her kit a light nudge as to get her going.

Without seeing if FalconKit obeyed her or not, SageFrost rose to her paws, lashing her bushy tail behind her. She kept her head raised confidently, despite the hurt and fright that threatened to bring her to the ground. Her eyes narrowed at the tomcat she formerly called her mate, and she took small steps toward him. She hadn't yet told the kits of who their father was, and she most definitely wasn't planning to tell them it was WrenClaw. The cheating flea-pelt, She mentally snarled. She halted a tail-length or so before him, folding her ears back. Anger aggressively radiated off her as she glared at the biological father to her kits.

``What do you want?`` SageFrost hissed. She felt a stab of compassion as she studied his defeated posture, but she was just as hurt as he. How dare he come crawling back to her! She felt slightly satisfied to see him playing the submissive role, which brought on guilt which was added onto the flood of emotions she struggled with.

She could see one of her four kits from the edge of her vision, EchoKit. She would've smiled at his adorableness, but she was standing before WrenClaw. She couldn't let him believe she was forgiving him, or easing up. SageFrost shifted her weight, uncomfortable with confrontation, but she knew this conversation would happen eventually.

Apurva blinked groggily awake, and she was just about to sit up when she noticed that Timberpaw had fallen asleep beside her. The uncomfortableness was gone, replaced by a warm feeling, but not the hot, embarrassed feeling of before. This felt good, comfortable to her, and she decided not to wake him. He'd been tired, so Apurva thought it best to let him catch up on his sleep. Everyone was probably still recovering from the battle, or mourning the losses, as she knew some were. But, she knew that hopefully, her kin were safe despite the cold, and she was curious about getting to see them, as soon as she found the time to sneak off the visit, since now she knew that she had to see if they would accept her again. She sighed, pushing away the thoughts. After I become an apprentice. She told herself, shifting slightly by accident. Apurva hoped that she hadn't woken Timberpaw, though, if she hard, it was probably for the best that he didn't sleep too much longer. She rested satup, careful not to bump him. She looked at her fur, which now stuck up in all directions with bits off moss clinging to it. The molly didn't bother to clean it, she just gave herself a quick shake to dislodge the moss. She didn't groom it mainly because then her fur might freeze due to the moisture in it, and that'd be no fun. She considered sneaking out to go find Maplefur and see if they could go yet, but knew to wait until the time was right, and that could be several sunrises, she just couldn't know for certain. The tip of her tail twitched to and fro as she sat, deep in thought, not really laying much attention to what was going on around her. Timberpaw could've woken up and was talking to her, but she wouldn't have noticed in the slightest. She closed her eyes, just sitting their quietly in her own little world, not, taking no notice still of her surroundings. Suddenly she snapped back and looked around, realizing she'd zoned out again. She looked down at Timberpaw, wondering if he too was experiencing the same odd feelings as she was. She'd never had them before, and they were quite new to her. She sighed, glad they were gone for the most part. Although she did fear that they would return really soon. She wasn't ready for that, and she shifted, hoping they wouldn't be back soon.

Why? Was this tom evil? The kit shuddered at the thought. Maybe he's evil and mommy's trying to protect us from him! She was quick to jump to conclusions, right or not, it didn't occur to her.

Her ear perked at Echokit's comment. "Yea, let's play!" She whispered, with her eyes shining brightly. "What do you want to do?" She sounded so forgetful and playful in that moment.

Brightkit was literally turning around in circles. It was something she did when she got bored, but as soon as a single cat so much as set paw near her, she was pouncing at them as though she had never imagined that she would see a cat before. She was excited for someone to come...Martenkit, Summitkit, any of her friends. Ooh, or I could make new friends! More new friends! You can never have enough friends! Brightkit thought excitedly, turning around in what seemed like her hundredth circle. For a small, half blind kit, it was hard to tell how many circles she had actually turned. They seemed to go on forever, although that was mainly because of Brightkit's energy- she found pleasure in doing this. It was something that made her happy, so she naturally assumed it was a good thing. Anything that made her happy was good, and for Brightkit, that was almost anything...almost nothing upset her or frightened her. It was as though she didn't know what either of those words meant. I don't like it when I get angry. It makes me feel so weird, maybe cause my throat hurts afterwards from yelling. I shouldn't yell though, it hurts other cats' feelings, Brightkit thought guiltily. She didn't like yelling at other cats. But every once in a while, some cat would do something that upset her so much, she couldn't help herself.

It was strange, seeing this kit who seemed to love other cats so much yelling at a cat. Still, it wasn't something that occurred often. Brightkit sighed, getting dizzy from walking in circles, and flopped dramatically over onto her side, nearly slamming her shoulder onto a harder patch of dirt that was nearby. As it was, she landed on a considerably softer patch of dirt and dust swirled up around her. Brightkit giggled as it landed on her pelt, making her look like a white, ginger, black and brown kit. She had always liked seeing the blurred colors of other cats...but because of her messed up sight, she had never really been able to see her reflection very well. It was an odd thing, and something that Brightkit didn't exactly love, although she had never thought about it or gotten too upset about it before. After all, what was the point of seeing her reflection? She knew she was there, after all. Brightkit settled down to wait for something...for anything...to happen.

Wrenclaw's crystal hues stayed averted from the kits, he barely even heard them as they spoke. His gaze was fixed on the cat he once trusted with everything. Where had they gone wrong? Oh, that's right, when he broke his promise. But we were young and didn't think it through! he thought to himself, pinning his ears back at the hatred lining her posture and voice. The unique looking tom was at a loss for words at first, but he inhaled deeply at met her gaze evenly. Despair ached in his chest. I was foolish. Wrenclaw scolded himself.

"Forgiveness," he spoke, plain and simple. His voice was slightly shaky, but clear. Perhaps he'd get another chance? It was doubtful and he couldn't blame her for turning him away now from everything he'd down to her. "When... When you told me you were expecting kits..." he started to explain, his hues slowly looking down at his paws. "I- I realized I wasn't ready to be a father, I couldn't do it. The idea scared me," Wrenclaw tried to explain his actions, he knew he sounded selfish and he knew it was ungrateful, but at least he was being honest, right? "I need to put things straight," his gaze lifted back up to meet her cold one, "I'm sorry,"

Owlkit sat in the clearing, the excitable brown and white she cat's grey blue hues searching for her best friend. She felt as though it had been simply ages since she had seen Storkpaw, and since he was able to tolerate her- no, since he actually liked spending time with her, Owlkit had found herself getting jealous at the very thought of some other she cat coming and taking Storkpaw from her. The idea that she wouldn't always be the only she cat in Storkpaw's life made her...frustrated. Oh well, he had a perfect right to make other friends. It wasn't up to her who he could and could not spend time with...although those flirts better stay away. They'll just hurt him, and he's my friend. Owlkit thought fiercely. This was a new side of her...a new, fierce side that made her want to keep her friends hers forever. Interesting as this was, Owlkit should have guessed she couldn't always be an innocent kit forever.

Storkpaw trotted happily into came, his brother Barkskip behind him. The two had mouth fulls or prey. Barkskip carrying two scrawny squirrels and Stoekpaw with a young thrush. The brothers placed their kill on the pile and stood side by side, their pelts brushing one another. Storkpaw felt he was closest to Barkskip, closer to him than any other member of his family. The bengals blue hues flitted around the clearing, finally resting on his best friend Owlkit. He beamed at her from across the way. He turned to Barkskip and opened his mouth to say something.

The small brown and white kit turned around, and a smile broke out across her features as she spotted her best friend. "Storkpaw! Hey, how've you been doing?" She asked with another bright grin. Seeing her best friend always made everything better. She supposed that was what it was like with friends...she had never kept one for this long, and she was having the best time of her young life right now. She enjoyed his company a lot and, seeing how he kept coming back to spend time with her, she suspected he liked her company as well. It was nice knowing that someone actually cared about her...who she was as a cat, and didn't mind that she was energetic.
Hey, he's stuck with me this long. I guess he doesn't mind, She thought with a shrug. In her mind, that was just logic...if a cat was going to stick with you, surely they would only do so if they enjoyed your company and didn't think of you as annoying. Right? Wasn't that the only thing that really made...sense? "Who were you hanging out with earlier? I saw you with some cat, uh...who was that?" Owlkit asked. She could hear the slight hint of jealousy entering her own voice and hated herself for it. Stop that! Storkpaw has a right to have other friends, you don't own him! She scolded herself, as she looked at him with her grey blue hues nervously.
Deep down, she knew that no matter how hard she tried, this odd jealousy was just a part of her nature. It was strange, and she guessed it was something that came with newfound friends. If she wanted to keep Storkpaw as her friend, she was going to have to let go of the fact that there would be other cats in his life. Besides, he'll probably be a warrior soon and then there'll be all those she cats fluttering around him...ugh, why do they do that? Owlkit thought with a flick of her tail. She had never understood what the concept or point of "flirting" was. If it was to gain attention, they certainly met their goal...but in her opinion, it was never a good thing to flirt. If you want a special cat, shouldn't you find them by using your personality? Not by doing...whatever it is that flirting stuff is? Owlkit thought, with a curious expression flitting across her features.

"She sounds amazing. If you really like her you should take her to see those places- that is, if she likes that kind of thing." Owlkit mewed in somewhat of a flat tone as her ears went back, although she felt the sharp sting of regret hit her instantly. He doesn't belong to me! She thought again, and once she heard his next words a relieved expression came over her face and she gave a sort of half laugh, nudging him back...although perhaps a little harder then needed. "Very funny, Storkpaw. You had me scared out of my wits! I was sure you had found some other friend that was better then me and- and she was going to replace me!" Owlkit mewed, her blue hues widening dramatically. Although she had spoken the truth- she really had thought Storkpaw was replacing her. "But if he's your brother, then I guess I'm good with it." Little watched from the bushes, staying still so she wouldn't ring the bell on her collar. The brown and white tabby she-cat stared in amazement. "These must be the clan cats! I kind of feel bad for being here but, I'm just a kittypet, what did I know?" She gasped and crept back slightly as two cats came past, prey in their mouths, gossiping. Once the coast was clear, Little tasted the air and smelt the sweet scent of fresh mouse and plump pigeon. So tempting...so tasty...she wanted to follow the scent right into camp, she already had a paw reaching out of the bushes...then she stopped, realising what she'd done...

"Fox-Dung!" Little instantly pulled her paw away. Afraid of being caught, she turned and fled, sprinting as fast as her fluffy white paws could take her. Eventually she collapsed, panting, tired, lost in the middle of the woods. Somewhere in ThunderClan's territory. But she couldn't stop now, no. If she stopped, she'd be caught and if she was caught, she'd be ripped to shreds...Little had heard stories from the local kittypets about how vicious wild cats are towards house cats and rouges. Running and hiding was her best shot of surviving.

"Honestly I didn't really fight," Nettlebreeze said before taking another bite. "Mostly I stuck around the apprentices that needed help." And it was the truth. Nettlebreeze disliked fighting, and she never grew up to like it. Nor did she like hunting either, but it was still fun to do and it was good for the clan. "Though, there was this one tom and he bit my leg pretty hard. Other than that I don't have any serious injuries."
Aspenfall scratched his side with a hind paw. "I don't really enjoy fighting because it usually leads to death. I would rather talk it over than fight but most cats try to find the simple ways and resort to fighting." The tom took a bite of the bird before scratching his side again with his hind paw. I think I have a flea." He turned around and nipped at where it was itching before spitting out the flea.

Owlkit smiled, the tip of her bushy tail flipping around in the way it usuall did. She cocked her head to the side upon hearing an almost mocking tone in his voice. What was so wrong about her wanting to know who her friend was hanging out with? It's not like I'd be mad or anything...like I was just thinking, Storkpaw has the right to find himself perfectly wonderful friends. She though, trying to convince herself as she did so. Somehow- it was hard for her to believe her own thoughts. As Storkpaw spoke about Wingpaw, Owlkit's smile faded and her tail drooped, stopping all movement. Nettlebreeze nodded in agreement. "Same. Unless it's actually for a good cause," She said. But usually fighting was never used for a good cause. Usually it was just a way to find an excuse to kill someone you didn't like, or just kill in general. She smiled as he said he had a flea and mumbled teasingly, "Your turning into an elder." Falconkit giggled when she caught the mossball that Echokit had swung back. The game was so comforting to her. Although the young kit didn't play mossball often, the minuscule rules of the game were engrained in her mind, and the whole scheme of playing was comforting.

Her tiny, yet oversized-proportionally paws caught the flying object, and swiftly tossed it back to her littermate. Nonetheless, the molly's head turned as she heard voices coming towards her. Oh, it's Spiderkit and his new friends! They'd want to join too, right? Her small, yet noticeable ear flick let her companions notice that she had indeed noticed them, and was content with their arrival.

But despite this happy outlook, she did hear the mysterious tom speak. His words were like another language; foreign and strange. What does he mean, expecting kits? And what does he mean about being a father? He's her father? The youngster was easily confused by warrior's talk. She decided to maybe ask Sagefrost about it later, when the games were settled and the newcomer tom was gone.

with the toms soft words hemlockkit slowly rose her head from the dappled pelt of the kit. She didn't know how to respond , she was so touched. Never before had any cat other than juniper ever said anything to her like this. "Deal. I would walk to the edge of the world, describing every object, every color, every single everything to you .because I know that deep down inside, you would do the same for me. You are the sole reason I do anything. You are the one who taught me how to love others . no amount of words or descriptions can ever make up for that " .

Hemlockkit smiled gently and nosed her companion's shoulder , choking back a cry of joy. "you already have juniper. Because you were kind enough to not abandon me and throw me under a twoleg monster like everyone else , you've shown me a new light. The only way I can return this is by sticking by your side until the very end, and even then never leave you . which , I shall. I'll never leave your side. You are my best freind juniperkit. Remember that, and never forget ". She purred the words and knew they had come strait from her heart. Her blue eyes gleamed with happiness as she licked the toms golden brown ear with a soft and gentle tongue before sitting down and smiling widely, tears running her face. Though not sad tears, but those of the most overjoyed kit there could possibly be
{Sorry this took so long to respond to ;-; }
Juniperkit smiled, and began to purr "I won't ever forget, not ever I promise." he said softly, joy gleamed in his pale green eyes. He was happy, content, he liked the way he was now, honestly, he didn't mind the fact that he couldn't see the way his best friend walked, or the way her pelt looked. He didn't mind the fact that he couldn't see the forest floor that he walked upon every day, that he couldn't see the sky that was above his head. He liked himself the way he was, just as long as hemmy was happy and safe, that's all that matters to him. After a few seconds he lifted his gaze to the sky and smiled "Hey hemlock, I heard some apprentices talk about these tunnels that wind underneath the territory of all clans. Do you think they're real?" he asked, his brown dappled fur fluffing up with excitement as he thought about them, he imagined the duo playing in the tunnels, laughing, happy.

Storkpaw smiled as she returned to her normal nature, no longer the shocked,, and jealous attitude. "Well of course! You are the fairest and most beautiful of them all, m'lady." He said teasing back. He dipped his head and splayed in paws in an exaggerated bow, but it was mostly to hide the slight embarrassment that he called her beautiful. She may have taken it as part of the joke, but he knew she was the most beautiful she cat he had met, both in the outside and the inside. He could trueley imagine having a mate, or a crush one day, but as he earned more of Owlkits trust and friendship, the more he discovered his feelings for her. His only problem was that she was too young, and the warrior code forbade kits to have romantic interests, therefore he had to wait. If only he was closer to her age, or she closer to his. "M'lady?" He asked with an air of arrogance, "your guards have informed me that a spy, working for the Syndicate is among us. You must be careful." He said with what he hoped was a genuine smile. His mouth curved up wards though and his eyes slitted, making him appear rather hostile. He gave her a mischievous grin and flicked his ears back. "Unfortunately I have come to break The great Owlstar's throne!" He growled playfully as he launched at her, claws sheathed. He toppled her over and stood, a paw on each side of her. "Pinned you." He remarked dolly, his voice slick and arrogant.

Berry kit smiled and bounced on the pads of his paws, waiting to see if the ball would be passed to him.
Falconkit's paws twitched as Spiderkit's mossball flew overhead. Here it comes..! she thought wildly, attempting to paw at it when it first hit the ground. Of course, her balance wasn't the greatest, and nor was her coordination. It just so happened that she was standing in a particular spot where the mossball bounced on top of her back, instead of landing by her paws.

"Oof!" The kit mewed, turning around to see where the ball went. Despite the surprise, she recovered quickly, and padded over to the piece of moss. Here I go! The she-kit sprang it forwards with her paw impulsively. Unlike the last few throws, hers had no aiming whatsoever; it just flew up into the air towards everybody all at once.

"Get it!" The molly squeaked, hoping that the mossball didn't land on a queen's head, or disturb any resting or newborn felines. That would be horrifying.

Amberwish didn't flinch when the other tom spat a response, danger raidiated off of the warrior, but she didn't take the warning, she refused to seem weak 'I fought off evildoers, I'm not running away just because someone decided to glare at me.' she thought angerly. She narrowed her eyes at the tom, her amber gaze got darker, menice danced in her amber flames "You watch your tone with me, and those strangers helped us. I admit, none of us were strong enough to fend off our evil leaders at the time. When Skyclan came it opened new doors for us all, now instead of whining and throwing a fit about it you can be thankful and happy that they helped save innocent lives." she said coldly, matching the other tom's glare with her own icy one. The ginger molly twitched her nose "I was just wondering anyways, it's hard to trust cats now a days, and besides it was just a question, no need to get snappy with me!" she snapped, anger flashed in her amber orbs. 'I can hold my own, it's gonna have to take a lot more than an icy glare, sharp claws, and good training to scare me off.' she thought, lifting her muzzle too look down at Falconclaw "Now maybe instead of snapping at your clanmate who decided to come over and warm you up, we could have a delightful conversation instead." she said coldly as she neatly wrapped her tail around her white paws, suppressing a shiver as a icy wind blew.

Falconclaw's green hues betrayed none of the anger or frustration that he could feel rising within him. What right did this cat have to tell him those things? "That is your opinion; you have a right to it. You would do well to remember there are those who would hold that against you- I will not, but if I had been a truly evil cat you could be in danger at this moment." He answered with a slight shrug, and curled his tail tightly around himself. Another flash of frustration at the cold went through him and he sighed, shifting his weight a little so that he could find a more comfortable position. "I couldn't agree more. But I suggest you speak to me with respect- as I will do to you." He mewed in an even tone. It was hard to tell what he could be thinking; at least he was no longer angry. Not towards her, at least. His green hues shifted towards her and his maw twitched in what could have been a smile. "Alright. In that case; my name is Falconclaw." The tom mewed in an attempt to start a new and more polite conversation. His voice showed a little bit of the earlier frustration he had felt and was not quite so calm as before...it was better to approach problems in this way, he believed. Perhaps Amberwish would calm down seeing the softer way he had spoken towards her. She really is lucky I'm not a bad cat. She would be entering very dangerous territory if I were. I hope she can learn to keep her mouth shut, otherwise she'll end up very badly hurt or worse: dead. Falconclaw thought. He knew there were cats here who were Dark Forest supporters. He knew they wouldn't like Amberwish saying what she had. And he knew that unless she could learn to keep her mouth shut, she would be in grave danger.

SageFrost stepped back, her ears folded back, her eyes wide, and her left forepaw lifted to her chest, which displayed her obvious offense. She scoffed and rolled her eyes, before responding in a rather harsh tone, ``You inconsiderate piece of fox-dung!`` She lashed her tail furiously, marching closer to him to get her point across. Her eyes were now narrowed, the vibrant blue of her eyes flaring with an uncontrollable rage. ``I was scared, too! These four kits,`` She pointed to her litter of kittens with a flick of her tail, ``Were completely unexpected! My first kits, WrenClaw, and I was nervous. But I didn't drop out of their lives like you dropped out of ours! I had to tackle the challenge of becoming a biological mother with a brave face as you padded after a molly who didn't even offer you a second glance! I lied in this same nest for ages, bearing the pain of kitting. Kitting your biological kits,`` SageFrost lowered her voice as she hissed the previous sentence. She didn't want her kittens to know WrenClaw was their father. How disappointed they'd be! ``You weren't there,`` She croaked, tears lining her eyes as she stepped back. She aggressively shook her head, avoiding his gaze as her anger subsided and sadness took over.

``Most queens kit with their mates at their sides, murmuring sweet somethings into their ear, and offering them comforting touches. I didn't get that experience... I had the medicine cat's paw on my belly as the only comfort. I raised four kits on my own... And where you? Oh, that's right. Getting rejected by the she-cat you left me for. Tell me, WrenClaw, was it worth it?`` She raised her head to look at him. SageFrost still loved WrenClaw, and it hurt her to reject him, but she knew it had to be done. For her kits, her kits who would never know what a disappointment their father was. There were still faint pools of tears in her eyes that refused to burst, and she tried to glare at him, but it just wasn't happening. She didn't love WrenClaw like she used to, but there was still that ounce of affection in her that made her heart race nervously when she was around him.

Was it worth it? SageFrost repeated silently. Her position showed her confidence, nothing submissive. She asked him her question boldly, showing she was not playing around. She wanted to know if it was worth leaving her with their kits for a molly who turned him away. She wanted him to be honest. She wanted to know if he loved their kits, if he wished he could've been there for the kits' first few moons, if he was there for their kitting. If he would stop his flirtatious ways, and be an actual father.

She envied her past self, the naive young cat she had been. Now that she was a mother, she had become more responsible. She remembered the times she shared with WrenClaw, laughing at the smallest of things and watching the stars. The `I love you`s they shared, those affectionate touches and the comfort they felt just at the thought of one another. Oh, how SageFrost wished she could rewind in life, but then she looked at her kits, and she'd wished nothing ever changed. She wouldn't trade her kits for anything in the world, but unfortunately, she couldn't say the same for WrenClaw.

Duskkit mewed drastically as the ball of moss landed on her. She had been watching the other kits play this whole time, and the one moment she took her eyes off the ball, she got hit with it. She glared at Falconkit, rolled her eyes, then kicked the ball back into play with no real aim. She then sat up, wrapped her tail around her paws, and proceeded to watch the other kits play.

Falconclaw's own green hues narrowed once more, the calmness leaving them and he opened his maw to give her a sharp retort before stopping. That wouldn't work. A sharp answer was not the way to speak to a clanmate, and certainly not one like Amberwish...to him, it seemed the more frustrated he was, the angrier she seemed to become. "I never said you couldn't. These cats are not idiots; they are quite intelligent. Not that you aren't, but they are capable of pure evil. You may be able to hold your own but against them you are probably helpless." Falconclaw mewed with an unreadable expression. He guessed that the ginger she cat probably wouldn't take that very well. It wouldn't surprise me. She definitely needs to learn to keep her mouth shut- she'll go too far one day. Offend the wrong cats. And she won't have a single cat on her side to tell her when she's overdoing it- I certainly won't. If she's mousebrained enough to mess with a Dark Forest supporter, she doesn't deserve the protection I can provide. The tom thought with a low hiss, although it was inaudible.
"Well it is a pleasure to meet you, Amberwish. You are quite the...interesting warrior, I suppose. It's not every day I am accused of being a Dark Forest supporter, and it is not every day that I meet a cat as spirited as yourself." Falconclaw mewed with another half smile. It was awkward, and almost painful to watch...though whether that was because of his half smile or because his whole posture was one of discomfort, as though he were hiding some great secret from her. "Oh no, leaf-bare is my absolute favorite season. I absolutely adore the freezing cold and wetness, don't you?" Falconclaw asked. He had meant it as a sarcastic comment, although because of his deeper, more authoritive voice, it sounded quite serious. Anyone who happened to look at him and hear what he had just spoken might have been quite confused, as the two didn't quite add up.
"Yes, I know. That is why I cautioned you against them earlier. I was not trying to offend you and I apologize if I did so. I was simply hoping to discourage you from trying to be a hero. You would do well to remember that these cats are not loyal to ThunderClan. They will not hesitate to attack a clanmate; or rather, as I believe they now view us...traitors." Falconclaw mewed in a calm tone. The tom glanced over at his companion in an almost sly manner, although he did not mean it to come across that way. If anything he was merely trying to see his companion and new acquaintance- a cat he was beginning to consider as a possible friend. She certainly seemed as though she could use one. And Falconclaw knew that he did...he had no friends at the moment, not after the battle. He would never be friends with a Dark Forest supporter. That would be too much of a shock for him to take.

Owlkit grinned, revealing her ivory white fangs and puffed her small chest out in a leader like manner. "I'm so very glad you agree, my loyal follower." She mewed, flicking him lightly with the tip of her brown and white tail. She was truly grateful to have Storkpaw as a friend. And not someone that she would forget about the next day...a true friend, someone Owlkit imagined would be there until the end. That was something that she could never have imagined and yet here she was, playing a game with the greatest friend she could have hoped for. No; he was more then that. He was a friend that she never could have imagined in her wildest dreams, or in the various daydreams she had had about growing up and becoming first an apprentice and then a warrior. Now she had Storkpaw for when she became an apprentice, someone who would be there for her every step of the way. An air of suspicion came about the young she cat as she examined Storkpaw carefully. She could tell there was something funny going on although what, she was not sure and because she had no proof, she could not rightly accuse him. "Well I suppose it's a good thing I have you here, my loyal guardian." The small kit mewed, giving him a disarming smile. It was something she was not expecting a reaction to. Her expression changed to one of surprise as she toppled over, hitting the ground- though thankfully not too hard. She wouldn't have wanted to spoil the fun by getting hurt. "Traitor! How could you betray me, I thought you were loyal to me!" Owlkit gasped, in an exaggerated display of surprise. She squirmed beneath her friend, her grey blue hues determined as she did so. Suddenly she stopped and a gleam entered her hues, as she glanced up at him. "You don't really want to take my throne, do you? Ruling is such hard work and I'm sure you would much rather have some fun," Owlkit mewed with her most charming and disarming smile. She felt instantly strange after doing so, as though she were hurting her friend...but she brushed these feelings aside. Certainly it was all in good fun, right?

Storkpaw held her steady below her as she squealed in astonishment. He had achieved his goal of startling her in his wishy washy tone of complete mannerism. He used manners, but he did ever talk like that, it was just plain weird. No one talked like that. But hey, it was a game now, like he planned. Something that would give the two cats an activity to do. "Why should I be loyal to you Owlstar?" He taunted her as he looked over her, his blue hues alight with laughter. He adjusted her paws away from her head a little, careful not to accidentally hurt her in someway. "I don't need rules from dead cats to rule me I am free! Like Ratnight once was when he ruled. That's what I've come to be!" He said letting out an evil laugh. Once the laughter subsided, he glanced down at her, a smirk flitting across his maw. "Hard work? Well, I'll still take your throne, see how it is for a while, if I don't like it then you can have it back." He said with a shrug. "Now, if it really is hard work, prove that to me by defeating me in battle." He said, pride hinting and his voice. He stepped off of the brown and white kit slowly, and backed away, his crystal clear blue eyes never dropping the gaze of Owlkit. He loved that he could do this with her. Spring a game on her unannounced tackle her, and she just be fine with it and play along. Most kits, and she cats he had met would have slapped him for tackling them and left, which was why he didn't have many friends. He liked to play rough, and just play hard, and Owlkit was willing to do that with him.

Ashenkit spotted his pale furred friend, a smile on her own maw. A smile grew across his own maw and he bounded towards her, his tail twitching wildly with excitement as he did so. Ashenkit was quite the...energetic young tom. To be honest, it was surprising exactly how energetic he could be sometimes. "Honeykit! How are you, what did your Dad say last night? He looked kind of...mad." Ashenkit lowered his voice and ducked his head slightly, wondering if the tom had said anything about him. But from Honeykit's cheerful greeting, whatever had happened meant that either she had payed no attention to him or she simply didn't care.

I hope she doesn't care. She wouldn't stop being my friend just because her Dad told her to, right? Ashenkit thought, feeling a little frustrated with himself at that. Was there something wrong with him, that was causing strife between himself and Honeykit's Dad? Or was this all in his imagination, just a simple trick of his vision or something. Probably just something I saw. Maybe he's just upset; his mate died, after all, as far as I know...Ashenkit thought, with a worried glance towards the Warriors Den. Was her Dad in there now, watching the two of them interact?

Putting his anxieties aside, the black and grey tom turned his blue hues back to Honeykit, a cheerful smile on his maw before it faded to a more serious expression once more. "Is everything going...okay? With your- your Dad, I mean because of-" He stopped, not wanting to say anything further. Honeykit would get what he was talking about. At least, he hoped she would.
Her alabaster fur fluffed out as she watched him approach, her tail twitching with excitement like his. Her cobalt blue orbs sparkled with amusement as she analyzed his energetic movement. When Honeykit first met the gray lad she thought he was actually quite shy, turns out she still has stuff to learn about her friend. "Oh, I'm just great!" She purred happily until he mentioned her father. The pale kit glanced away not very much wanting to remember the talk they had. "Oh yeah, we just talked, a lot..." Her gaze softened when she noticed his expression, "Don't worry, it wasn't about you." She remebered the discussion; it was about Russetbrook. Goldenblaze basically just helped his daughter through the grieving of her mother. She remembered his deep, but gentle, voice tell her to keep working to be a great warrior and stay loyal to her clan duties. In the back of her mind she was desperately hoping that he didn't mean to devote her whole life to Thunderclan. She wanted a family sometime in the future, would he allow it? Of course! He's my own dad, he's going to love my future kits. A very subtle smile appeared on her lips before she snapped her attention back to Ashenkit.

She noticed his gaze facing the warriors den, Is he worried about Goldenblaze? Honeykit was surprised that after her father gave Ashenkit a death stare that the kit would still worry about his feelings. She smiled at her friend, truly admiring his soft heart.

She nodded, "Yeah, everything's okay, I promise." Her eye's glowed as she looked at him, "Is everything good with you?" She asked, sort of wanting to change the subject off of her.

She was teasing, of course...she knew he cared about her, and she knew they were best friends. But at times it was hard to tell when the she cat was joking and when she was being serious. Only the teasing glint in her hues showed that she was indeed just playing with him and not trying to be rude in any way. "You want to be evil? You really want to rule by fear and hatred?" Owlkit asked, her blue hues no longer quite as teasing as before. The mention of Ratnight had sent her into a somewhat disturbed state...she had hated the evil leader. Hated him. And now her best friend was pretending to be like him...she wasn't sure she liked this at all. The she cat flicked the tip of her brown and white tail twitching back and forth in a slightly irritated manner. The memory of Ratnight's rule was making her uncomfortable, and for once she would have been glad for the game to be over. But it wasn't; the game was just beginning. And at the rate things were going, it wouldn't be over for a long time. "Ha. I could beat you with my claws sheathed. I bet you couldn't do that," Owlkit boasted, puffing her small chest out. This was an exaggeration, of course...in reality Storkpaw could probably beat her with his claws sheathed. But Owlkit, getting caught away in the fun of the imaginary game and forgetting all about her discomfort from the mention of Ratnight, jumped to her paws, her hues gleaming mischievously. She wouldn't have been able to unsheathe her claws and fight him anyway...she would never forgive herself if she accidentally harmed him. And besides that, although her claws were not yet long or sharp enough to do any real damage, they would still cause a painful scratch if they came into contact with him. But it was more fun to pretend that she was purposely doing it...as though she really were up against an evil warrior rather then her best friend.

"Oh, okay. I kind of got the feeling your Dad wasn't my biggest fan...y'know, just cause he looked at me like I was his worst enemy and all that cool stuff," Ashenkit mewed sarcastically. It wasn't like him; although he was a little miffed by the way that Honeykit's father had looked at him the other night. Why wouldn't he like him? What had Ashenkit done to ensue his anger, or frustration, or whatever emotion it was that the tom had stared at him like?

I thought he really was going to kill me. He looked as though he would like nothing more then to attack me right then and there, in front of the whole clearing, or drag Honeykit away...which he practically did, Ashenkit thought, remembering how he had motioned for her to move away from him. What had he done wrong here? That was the one thing that he couldn't figure out; and it didn't seem like Honeykit was going to tell him. He decided to leave the subject alone with a careless flick of his fluffy black and grey tail. "Okay, good. I mean, I don't think you should have to deal with any more problems...any more family problems, at least...that would be a lot for you, although I know you're so much stronger then you look...not that you don't really look strong...but you know what I mean, right?" Ashenkit thought with a short laugh, feeling his pelt begin to heat up in embarrassment.

"Me? Yeah, everything's going good. Y'know, I don't really have much trouble or anything...I mean, everything's always going great with me. You know me, I couldn't be happier." The tom mewed with a smile, although that wasn't necessarily true. He could be happier...he was just hiding that fact from her.

Berrykit saw the ball soar above his head en route to a queen's head. He leaped as far as he could and barely grabbed the mossball with his claws, almost falling. "Catch!" Berrykit said and threw it towards the other kit. TheBread

Echokit jumped up and caught the moss ball, "Got it!" He landed awkwardly and hit the nursery floor with a thump, "Omph." The tom kit got to his paws and shook his pelt, "I'm okay!" The dusty colored kit exclaimed, tossing the moss ball to Falconkit again, his ears perked and he grinned. His eyes were bright as he looked around the nursery, trying to avoid looking at his angry mother and the tom with her.

Storkpaw wiggled his haunches, waiting for her attack, when he noticed her disturbed gaze. It took him a moment to think back back over his words, to figure out what exactly he had said that had upset her. He sighed inwardly as he remembered her breakdown when Ashstar disappeared and Ratnight returned. He had. Supported her then, why was he so mouse brained and careless that he had brought it up, especially when he knew it was a sensitive matter with her. He watched her carefully, waiting to see how her emotions would develope. Fortunately for him, he watched her discontent turn to mischief again and continue the game. "Maybe not necessarily evil, just...maybe different than your normal leader." He said tilting his head as he thought up some rules for himself. "Maybe kits could be apprentices at a younger age, and no loners allowed to join the....Clans." He trailed off, immediately catching himself, though too late. He closed his eyes in embarrassment. He himself was originally a loner by descent, and was brought here. "Never mind, scratch that rule, loners are allowed to join, under certain circumstances." He corrected himself. "Wait, wait wait, are you being prideful in taunting me in this way? No claws! Such madness! But if you shall, then I shall be honorable and do so as well." He flexed his claws, ripping up some dirt, before he attacked. He jumped forwards, more in a scare tactic rather than fighting one, and landed two mice length away from her, pushing his wide grin towards her. "No claws it is then." He said slyly.

Wrenclaw's blue gaze hardened in a way it'd never been towards her before. His tail tip twitched irritably and for a moment, the tom was glad he left her. Although with his ears pinned back, his voice was hushed as he spoke the next few words towards his former mate. "The difference between you and I... you were scared," he paused, his voice venomous when he continued, "and I didn't want them," he flicked his tail towards the kits. His claws flexing now. This was a side to Wrenclaw that not many cats see, his more sinister side that 's hidden very well behind a cloak of flirting and deception.

The warrior let those words sink in. He didn't regret a single thing. He stood his ground daring her to say anything or to slash his muzzle. He was ready to face the facts now. "They're your burden and yours alone. Those aren't my kits. At least that's all they have to know and if you want me to explain these simple facts, I'll shatter their hearts for you," he growled, his blue gaze darting away to hide the fact he had a little bit of a harder time saying those words. He needed to sound mean, but Wrenclaw didn't want to be this mean to her or her family. He simply took both rejections badly and now he knew he was alone. No, my sister will understand... in reality, his sister hated the idea he did this.

Wrenclaw awaited a response. He knew at this point he'd be driven away or asked to leave and he'd do it with no hesitation although he'd also simply hide in the clearing. Anything to get away from the nursery now. He knew this was a bad idea and didn't understand why he didn't just follow his instincts. It would've saved him more heartbreak. It was true. Wrenclaw was heartbroken now, but he had to hide it. Had to act like nothing phased him. Had. To.

Wrenclaw was heartbroken now, but he had to hide it. Had to act like nothing phased him. Had. To.

Now, tears rushed down her cheeks, sinking into her fur, and making her slightly cold. She was trembling. Not because she felt a light chill, but out of anger and depression. She avoided WrenClaw's gaze, and instead, looked at the ground before her as she thought about what to say. Her claws slipped out, eager to pierce her previous mate's muzzle. With a great amount of strength and effort, SageFrost drilled her unsheathed claws into the ground as to refrain herself from throwing a blow at him. She closed her eyes tightly in an attempt to chase away the tears, and she held her breathe only to release a dry sob. This is real, she thought.

She inhaled shakily, gathering herself. She didn't want to appear like a weak kit in front of her ex-mate. SageFrost raised her head, despite the pathetic tears that continued to stream along her face. With a brief sigh, she blinked, and glared at WrenClaw with all the hate she could muster. ``Just, look at them,`` She demanded, her tone of voice being hateful. She would've practically spit at him, but her throat lacked moisture, and it made her sound like a sick cat with her voice cracking. As she said this, she swiveled her head to the side to look lovingly at her offspring. ``You will regret not being apart of their lives, I assure you.`` She now whispered, a sign that her words were serious and honest - they were thought-out. She was still angry, though, bursting with rage. But she knew her words would mean more if she were calm and collected.

She then turned her head back as to face him, her expression grim. Her scowl was more than noticeable, and her eyes continued to flare. Her nose frequently wrinkled in the beginnings of a snarl, but they were quick to disappear as she fought against the snarling. Any ounce of love she had left for the tomcat before her, was gone. ``I, uh, suggest you leave, WrenClaw. Don't talk to me or these kits, don't look at me or these kits, don't even think about me or these kits. Bye.`` Her statement began with uncertainty, but she swiftly gained confidence as she went on speaking. Her voice was still low, hinting to her seriousness.

SageFrost never expected them to say goodbye to each other. In her younger mind, she saw them both lying on their deathbeds at old age. They'd be pressed against each other, rumbling purrs in their throats, their tails intertwined. They'd share a sweet and loving `see you when we wake up`. They'd close their eyes, and awaken in a starry forest. StarClan. They'd live in the stars, watching their offspring down below as they lived their own lives. They'd be partners for eternity. Now, her dreams would no longer exist. She would hope that WrenClaw would live an awful life, and even plant himself in the Dark Forest so she'd never have to see him again. Meanwhile, she'd hunt mice and squirrels in the forests of StarClan, looking down on her children. Her children.

She turned away from WrenClaw immediately, whipping her thick tail in an attempt to slap him in the face. She stepped into her warm nest, welcoming the heat. She collapsed into the moss, resting her chin on her paws and watching her kits. She curled her tail at her flank, the tip twitching lazily. She offered her kits a weak smile. SageFrost wanted a distraction after such a confrontation, and she knew her kits would be willing to help her do so. She didn't cast her ex-mate a second glance, clearly done with him. If she ever saw him again, well, it'd be much too soon.

Wrenclaw simply snorted at her response. The stereotypical response he heard often from queens speaking to their former mates or to their family. He shrugged it off without a problem, but his tongue wasn't able to hold back the remark that built up in the back of his throat. "Nothing to regret over some cats I've never met, my fellow clanmate," he growled. Although as she turned away and he felt her tail whip across his face, he turned away. Turning on his paws, his blue hues looked towards the entrance before they led him numbly towards the light. He didn't care what she thought of him now, at least deep down he didn't. He had other cats he could turn to. Right? Wrenclaw knew it was doubtful, but he had to keep on moving so Sagefrost wouldn't sense the defeat coming from him. Perhaps there was someone in the clearing for him to meet or see?

Wrenclaw had failed at getting forgiveness from the cat he once thought he loved. Now he had no one to turn to other than perhaps a few friends or his sister, but he wanted to avoid his sister at this moment. She'd kill him for what he said in the nursery. He'd never meet his kits properly, but he had to ignore the defeat tightening his chest. It was his decision. Sagefrost drove him away and Wrenclaw had to live with this now. With a few paces from the nursery, the unique looking warrior slumped down near the warriors den. His blue hues were misted over with thought and his overall appearance was saddening to look at. Well saddening to those who actually cared. Two rejections within 24 hours, what were the odds? He assumed that his bad deeds had caught up to him and he had to face the consequences that came from now on. He needed a ray of light and so far his sister had failed to show him it. Sagefrost had rejected his apology. No who would he turn to?

Uncaring eyes glared across the Nursery. The other kits were playing, and then there was Duskkit, being the loner she was. She prefered it this way. The tiny she-cat liked to watch the other kits play, spotting any fowls in their games, not that she'd say anything to them. She didn't like talking much.

Sandkit was tumbling in the nursery around her friends and mother, squealing every time she landed on her paws or caught up with them in their race around the other queens. "Got you!" she giggled as she jumped to catch an other kit's tail, but fell face first in the moss. Wide smile covering her face, she looked up and saw a dark figure in the corner of the nursery. She padded to it and realised it was an other kit. "Hey!" she squealed. "You don't want to come play?" she asked, tilting her head to the calico she-cat.

Mapledash came near the entrance to the apprentice's den and peeked his head inside. The smell of the den remembered him his good days when he trained with his own mentor, and how lazy he was about it at first. He looked around in the gloom, but there were so much apprentices still sleeping. Their chattering overcame the sound of his apprentice, and he couldn't tell if they were here. "Jaypaw! You're in here? It's training day, I'll see you in the training cave." he called. He hoped his apprentice remebered this was the day they were suposed to do their hunting practice. This would be his third lesson, so he would need to catch at least two or three preys this time to show his improvement, unless he gets bad luck. He left the den without waiting for an answer and headed for the training cave. --Maybe they DO remember are are waiting for me in there? Who knows.-- he realised for a moment as he padded away and out in the territory.

'Oh great, one's coming,' she thought. She attempted to avoid eye contact, up until the other she-cat started talking to her. She simply glared at her, hoping she'd simply go away. She quickly turned her attention back to watching the other kits playing, hoping that would be enough to get the other kit to go away.

Lionpaw walked into the clearing, and looked around. Oakpaw ans Palepaw were talking and Coonpaw padded up to him.
"Hey Lionpaw!" she purred and sniffed. "Wait... why do I smell..." she paused as she saw the giant cat step from behind Lionpaw.
"W-What is this?" she asked, looking at her brother again.
"Coonpaw, this is Feircestorm, Swiftbreeze, and I'm sure you remember this little guy..." he said, stepping off to the side, revealing Roarpaw.
"Roar... is that you?" she asked with a smile.
(Actually, no Coon is more like Bunga anyways xD)

"Coonpaw." Roarpaw grinned coming forward as he smiled at his best friend.
Swiftbreeze looked around, ears pricked.
"Wait wait!" Splashpaw screamed, ducking behind Oakpaw.
"You deserve this!" Blackpaw spat, tossing a juniper berry at her. "I can't believe you pushed me in the lake!!!"
"You smelled!" Splashpaw objected, then wrinkled her nose. "You still do!"
Blackpaw gasped. "Do not!"
"Do so!"
"Do not!"
"Do so!!"
"DO NOT!"
"DO S--"
"GUYS!" Honeypaw shouted over them. "ONE! TWO! THREE! ALL OF YOU FRONT AND CENTER, NOW!!!"
It wasn't long before Splashpaw, Foxpaw, Blackpaw, Snowpaw, and Goldpaw were seated in front of her, wide eyed.
"Looks like Honeypaws taken charge," Swiftbreeze noted as she watched her kids, who hadn't noticed her or her mate and son yet.
"Yeah," Roarpaw raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, God you'd be surprised." Lionpaw chuckled. "Alright, All five of you over here." he called, trying to sound gruff, playfully mocking Honeypaw. Oakpaw and Palepaw padded over and Frostpaw made her way out of the den.
"Now what?" Oak asked, his eyes showing some annoyance.
"Be nice, would ya?" Frostpaw chuckled.
"This is for Honeypaw and them. A nice little surprise they needed moons ago." he said.

Honeypaw rolled her eyes. "You guys are nuts!"
"Yeah not me." Snowpaw stepped up beside her.
"We're booorred!" Foxpaw groaned, Splashpaw agreeing with a nod.
"I know guys." Honeypaw chuckled.
"Let's go hunting!" Goldenpaws eyes lit up.
"Or battle training!" Blackpaw swiped at the air, accidentally bopping Splashpaws nose.
"Ow!" Splashpaw put a paw over her nose, glaring.
"Sorry."
"Calm down guys," Honeypaw said, thinking.

Coonpaw sat infront of Roarpaw, smiling. "Were did you guys go?" she asked.
Palepaw chuckled. "Don't pester them, Coonpaw. Let then get used to being back." she purred.
