Is there such thing as having a drawback from not seeing a certain cat enough? The black-and-white feline, though exhausted and still healing from the dog fights, decided she should take a stop by then medicine den. And not to rest or get healed. Well, maybe so a certain dark tabby could check her wounds in case of infection, but not just for that. She was there to just see the adorable medicine cat.
“Snowflake! You doing anything important?” Cherrybubble pushed her way into the den, her more muscular frame making it a little harder for her to squeeze in. Bright green eyes searched the surrounding area for Tallmarsh, the warrior’s Tail-tip flicking back and forth ever so slightly. “Flintspirit finally let me have some down time from patrols, so I came to say hello.” She say down, casually licking a paw and rubbing it over her head as she waited for Tallmarsh to come out into the open. “And maybe you might want to check my dog bites, just in case.” She let out a laughing purr, tilting her head to get her other ear. “That is, if you really do care about me Snow.”

Talonfeather came trotting into the clearing with a large thrush clamped in his jaws. His hunt had been rather casual but successful nonetheless. The large Tom let out a purr of happiness of he saw his mate, the very picture of beauty in his life. He quickened his pace so that he could meet with her, laying the thrush at her paws before he gave her a gentle nuzzle, “Hello beautiful,” Talonfeather murmured, shifting his long russet fur shifting as he took a seat next to his mate, pride swelling within him as he glanced at her plump belly. Soon their kits would be born, the finest in all of the clans in his opinion. “How have you been feeling?” The tom inquired, trying not to be overly protective of Amberfall, but still constantly worrying about her.

Amberfall's gaze lit up when she saw her beloved enter the clearing with a really nice piece of prey. Her muzzle twisted into a smile when he headed over, purring. "Oh, I was wondering where you were." She nuzzled Talonfeather back before eyeing the thrush. "This looks great! Amazing catch, dear," she complimented cheerfully, leaning down to take a bite of the prey. "I'm feeling really good. Nervous, but excited."

She nodded, making a mental note of that. Aquilexkit sniffed the golden rod. "What herb is that?" she asked curiously. A light of curiosity was alive in her dark blue eyes. She then licked up the poppy seed, almost forgetting about it in her search for medicine cat knowledge.

"This is golden rod, it'll help soothe the pain and prevent any infection," she informed the kit as she began to chew on the herb. She smiled slightly. It warmed her heart a little to see a kit with a true fascination for herbs. It wasn't something she saw everyday for sure. She had never been interested in herbs herself, but she kinda hoped her future apprentice chose this path for themselves. At first, she had actually hated being a medicine cat. So much responsibility to her Clan, and it wasn't something she picked up immediately like others might. It took a lot of hard work and dedication to get to where she was today. "Okay, I'm going to pull it out now. Then I'll lick this golden rob on and patch it up with some cobwebs, okay? Then you'll be good to go," she said. She bent down and took hold of the thorn with her teeth, preparing to pull.

Her small tail curled, though she was definitely bigger than she had been a few moons ago as she was only a moon away from her apprentice ceremony. She flattened her ears a bit self-consciously. "Anyone who trains under you would be really lucky."

A familiar scent accompanied with an equally memorable voice floated into Tallmarsh's den, snapping her out of her thoughts and back to reality. Her mind had drifted off while cleaning the nests at the back of her den. She stood there, not really staring at the moss-lined nest as she replayed in her mind for the hundredth time the events of the battle barely two moons ago. Two moons. Had it only been that long? It felt like a lifetime and a half to the medicine cat. Her entire life had flipped on its head. She barely left her den or spoke to her Clanmates--not that they wanted anything to do with her after what she'd done to their leader. So she had resigned to finding anything she could do around her den. She had reorganized her herb store, cleaned the nests, cleared the dirt, and even decorated with some well-placed stones near the entrance. Anything to prevent her from reliving the battle again. She was thankful when a voice came through her den to pull her back to reality, and then she was all but elated when she turned and recognized the black and white molly before her. "S-Sparky! Hey..." she said, stumbling over her words. Her eyes--well, eye was wide with shock. She hadn't seen Sparky since before the battle. She had just assumed that she just wanted nothing to do with the medicine cat, like most of the Clan. She couldn't hide the tired expression that she always seemed to have nowadays. But her relief at learning that at least one cat in her life still wanted to be around her was visible in how her breath hitched at the sight of the she-cat, how her whole body seemed to relax just a little, how the faintest smile played on her maw, and how the empty look in her eyes faded just a little, making way for just a little hope. She took a few steps towards Cherrybubble, but stopped in her tracks when she mentioned injuries. "Well. why'd you have to go and get bitten? Didn't I just patch you up?" she said, attempting at a snappy but joking tone. Her expression however betrayed her worry. How many times is she going to get herself hurt? It crossed Tallmarsh's mind that maybe she kept getting hurt so she had an excuse to visit her. But no, that could never be it. She's just reckless...

Who would have known that ThunderClan's camp could be located under a rock? Shiverpetal wouldn't have guessed, that was for sure. But turning over pebbles in the riverbed had somehow landed him here, where he was looking around in relaxed curiosity at a camp that seemed so similar to his own in RiverClan. It was a little more enclosed than he was accustomed to with its undergrowth and oppressive trees, but he could get used to this: the nature itself was impressive, extensive foliage covering nearly everything. The cats were pleasant as well, and Shiverpetal gave out little greetings like candy toward everyone that looked in his direction. Tail swishing behind him in slow sweeps, he settled into a sunny spot in preparation for a deserved nap.

Tallmarsh was making her way over to the fresh-kill pile when she spotted an unfamiliar cat resting in the sun. From here, she could smell the familiar scent of herbs on his pelt, along with--ugh, fish. This must be Shiverpetal, the new RiverClan medicine cat. She hadn't had a chance to talk to him, but she'd heard some interesting things about the tom. The ThunderClan medicine cat padded over to him slowly. "Having a nice nap?" she asked when she reached him. Her tone made her sound annoyed--like she was tired already of being outside. And she was. She'd rather have this conversation in the comfort of her den, but this tom looked comfortable here. Whatever.

It was a pleasant experience that didn't lose its charm when someone interrupted it, bringing him to peek an eye open to the sight of a charcoal black she-cat. "There's no such thing as a bad nap," he replied with a twitch of his whiskers, rolling to properly face her. He was unfazed by the irritated tone, truly enjoying this rest stop. "Your aura speaks strongly to me," he said through his typical drawl, "and suggests you might need more naps in your life. Or is it... more exercise? Or the serenade of crickets? Well, I suppose all are good for the soul." Sizing her up for several seconds, Shiverpetal emitted a low hum of contemplation and nodded slowly as if performing complex mental calculations. The intermingling of natural gray-white in her fur had caught his attention, but he momentarily shelved that in favor of extending an introduction, "I am probably Shiverpetal, but I imagine it's just one of my many names- you are free to cherrypick what you'd like to use, for your perception of me is yours alone and not within my control."

Tallmarsh was out of her den for once, grabbing a bite to eat before the first patrols came back, bringing back the inevitable cuts and bruises. Lately she had taken to retreating back to her den to eat, but it was such a nice day today that she felt maybe she could sit outside for once. She saw the looks her Clanmates threw at her. Even the ones that had encouraged her to do that horrible act. She felt the uneasiness as they reluctantly entered her den to be healed, and she saw how eager they were to leave. No one wanted to be seen talking with the murderer. That's what she was to them, nothing more than a dirty traitor now. Everything before then didn't matter anymore; she was a traitor and a murderer. So, the medicine cat slunk to the very edge of the clearing. She sat with her back to a tree, partially hidden in the shade. Maybe no one would notice her here. She turned her eyes to the clearing as she took a bite of the mouse she had chosen. One of her favorite past times had always been watching the Clan go about its business. She felt her stomach drop as she spotted a painfully familiar ginger coat. The large tom was chatting with a couple members of the Clan. Her eyes--well, eye--went wide when he began to turn towards her. The medicine cat dropped her head in a desperate attempt to hide from his site. Please don't see me, please don't see me! She had been avoiding him ever since the battle, and she didn't know what she would do if she had to talk to him again. She felt herself begin to tremble as she looked up slowly to see if he had turned away. He hadn't. Just as she found him again, she made eye contact with him from across the clearing. Tallmarsh was frozen. She had just made eye contact with her former friend, the tom she had killed only moons ago. She held his gaze, unable to move. She was trembling uncontrollably as they held each other's gaze for what seemed like forever, until she couldn't take it anymore. She dropped her head again, finding her mouse very interesting. She couldn't get back to her den--if she wanted to do that, she would have to pass him. Seeing Passionstar brought back up all of the horrible memories from that night. She didn't even know how to describe the horrible guilt she felt for what she had done. How could she commit such an atrocity, and then beg for mercy? She was a coward, and she knew it. There was nothing she could say to make this better. It was up to Passionstar whether he decided to forgive her. She knew that if this situation were reversed and she was the leader who had been murdered by her medicine cat, that cat would be gone from the Clan in an instant. But Passionstar had let her stay. A much worse punishment, to her.

Passionstar wasn’t going to pass up a chance to talk to Tallmarsh. Oh how he had so much to say to her but didn’t even know what to start with or how to start it. He was more so excited about the fact that she seemed to tense up under his gaze. So, she still thought about that day? Good. The pain he was in when she betrayed him. Obviously, the tom couldn’t hold hate in his heart no matter what had happened; bygones should be bygones. He wasn’t a bitter tom. While he should had been because one of his lives were taken from him, he wasn’t, but oddly something was prickling under his fur. Maybe it was pride? The fact that a sharp slick tongue cat with something sarcastic always to say...had nothing to say at all? After fluffing out his pelt, Passionstar casually made his way over towards the medicine cat, hiding a smirk on his face. He didn’t bother to ask if the spot next to her was open because he knew it was. Since after the war, those who were ‘possessed’ weren’t really treated kindly. Passionstar already punished all the cats that turned on them, so they had to earn their way back into being treated civilized. “I see you’ve finally escaped your little den. What’s been keeping you in there for so long?” He played coy, a tilt of his head. It was obvious he knew why she retreated to her little spot, but he’d still tease her about it. “You thought I’d forget about our rematch?”

There were a lot of things that Acornstep disliked. Her Clan, however, was not among them. ThunderClan had been her home for as long as she could remember, even from before she could remember, and she had a fierce loyalty to something that had been in her life for so long. There were cats here that bothered her, sure, but they were a part of ThunderClan just as much as she was. It took all kinds to build a home, she supposed, even if she would've been better off without some of them. Acornstep slipped into the clearing, making her way through the other cats as she did every morning, trying to avoid getting entrapped in a conversation. It would wind up being boring, she already knew, and if there was one thing she hated... it was being bored. Warrior tasks could get mundane sometimes, she guessed, but there was usually something to spice up her everyday life. She refused to become one of those cats who did nothing but sit around the clearing all day.

Even today, although she was tired, she would go out later. It was hot right now, the perfect time of day to find a shady spot and wait. Everyone else could go about their daily business; Acornstep was going to keep a low profile until she could slip out. "Friends" weren't something that Acornstep cared about too much. She was polite to her clanmates (for as long as she could be, that was) and respected her leader and elders, but she didn't seek anyone out everyday to catch up with them. It seemed silly, and a waste of time, really.

Of course, no one had ever taken the time to seek Acornstep out, either.

Palethroat wasn't much for talking to other cats. Really, he was more of a "keeping to himself" kind of tom. While he knew he had to talk to others to communicate every now and then to see what his duties were or what was going on within ThunderClan, most of the time he wandered around on his own, looking for something to do. He knew his duties, after all: hunt for the clan and stay loyal to it. There wasn't much more to do beyond that that he could think of.

Walking around the clearing, he spotted Robinfur sitting across the clearing all on her own. While she didn't look lonely, Palethroat thought that a nice visit might make her day even better. He wasn't try to brag or anything like that, though. He just cared for the others and didn't like seeing them alone, even if he didn't like socializing all that much. Sauntering over to her, he stopped in his tracks only a tail length away from her, and sat down, curling his tail neatly around his well-built body.

"Hello, Robinfur," he greeted the she-cat with a joyful manner. "What have you been up to?"

Hmmph. The feline’s pale green eyes flirted lazily across the Clearing again and again. Some cats chatting, some cat eating, some kits bounding around, yadda yadda. Same old, same old. The fact of the matter was that she was almost tired of the same routine. Wake up, hunt, day, patrol, socialize, eat, sleep. It was all a waste of time. Just to defend some piece of land! Weren’t there plenty of other pieces of land out there?!

Some cat had to step in the middle of her existential crisis. And that cat happened to be Palethroat. She didn’t really know much about him aside from the fact that he was simply another one of her Clanmates. And thankfully he didn’t seem to egotistical. In fact, she took it as a kind gesture that he had come over and sit with a feline he barely knew and started a conversation. Huh.

"Hey, Palethroat," she greeted informally. "Ah, nothing but the usual. Sleep, hunt, patrol, all that." Robinfur examined her claws for a short moment before continuing. "How about you?"

He had wanted kits since he was very young, but had thankfully been wise enough to wait for the right mate. He knew of no other molly that could be such a perfect match for him.

The molly purred, shutting her eyes for a moment. "I have all I could ask for. A wonderful mate, a wonderful brother, and soon, wonderful kits."

She fell silent once more before humming lightly. "Is it bad to say I wish I could mentor them as well when they grow up?" She asked, curiosity in her gaze. "I just want to make sure they have good influences, is all..." After a moment, Amber chuckled at her own words. "I can't believe I'm worrying about this before they're even here."

As he allowed Stonegazer to lead him into the clearing, Powdernose felt the pressure of the situation hit him full-force. He closed his eyes and tried to level his breathing, body trembling with anxiety as it coursed through him. The Siamese looked around, blue eyes wide in awe. He had only been dead for a few moons, and yet the ThunderClan camp felt so much different than he remembered. He swallowed the thickening lump in his throat as he looked for Passionstar.
Stepping away from Stonegazer, he cleared his throat and looked away. "I- I can do this alone now," Powdernose mewed quietly, voice still rough. He blinked and flattened his ears before stepping further into the camp, approaching the Leader's Den. However as he came closer to it, he figured he'd rather stay out in the open despite being surrounded by so many Thunderclan cats. Some he recognized, some he didn't. It was quite strange seeing all the faces around him, materialized and not... dead.
A few cats stared at him but kept their distance, whispering among themselves. He curled his tail over his paws with a wave of shaking coming over him. So many eyes on me, thought Powdernose, trying to turn his attention away from the sheer fright filling him. After a wild combat within his mind, he cleared his throat once more and called out in the loudest voice he could manage, hoping his brother could hear him.
"P- Passionstar? I- It's me, Powdernose. I- uh- I need to talk with you," he took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves as they ran rampant inside of him, "Could we- Could we speak out here?" His paws shuffled against the ground and he hissed quietly as pain shot through them. He would definitely be visiting the Medicine Den after this.

Brilliance

Passionstar was crouched in his den, eyes closed, enjoying the darkness surrounding him. Normally, he would be itching to run or do something that kept him active, but the gigantic furball didn't seem to be in the mood for such pleasures - odd, considering who he was. Then again, with everything happening these moons since he's became leader, he's been so lonely. Sure, he talked to his clan mates frequently, enjoyed eating beside them, sharing tongues, whatever else, but deep down his mind was running rampant of how lonely he really was. He wasn't a kit any longer, so snuggling and enjoying the warmth of his mother wasn't an option - tempting, though. Both brothers, biological and adoptive were gone. Burn would never come to his senses, and the more Passionstar thought of him, the more he rolled his eyes at the idea of Burn giving him more nieces and nephews without a father. Then Powdernose was gone. The one brother he knew would never leave him. And, it wasn't because they were close, but Passionstar jokingly knew Powdernose was too much of a coward to even survive on his own. Whatever would you do without me? You better praise the stars that we're brothers! He used to always tell the awkward tom, but no more...Passionstar must had been dreaming a little too lucid because he was starting to hear the one voice that he never thought he would hear. Passionstar had been hidden quite well in his den, but the burly furball could still be spotted easily with his build. His ears flickered, mumbling something incoherently in his subconscious mind, but then the voice got louder and it caused Passionstar to blink open his eyes. At first, he thought it was Flintspirit, so the tom had took his time getting up from his spot, cracking every limb and stretching his feline spine to the fullest before shaking his roughed up fur and stepping out more towards the entrance of the den. Albeit as he was making his way out, the voice continued to speak. Powdernose? Golden-green eyes landed on the tom before him, at first shocked and surprise, even a little relief and emotional, but then it flickered to hurt and anguish. ''You came back.'' That was the only thing that Passionstar could really say, his tone shocked. He wasn't ever expecting to see Powdernose again - he should be thrilled, but the only thing Passionstar really felt was hurt. Passionstar gingerly sat down, tail neatly laying across his paws, eyes steadied on the ghost from his past. Literally. ''What do you have to talk to me about?'' Passionstar should had chased him out, maybe Powdernose wasn't welcomed back in Thunderclan, but that was stupid to Passionstar. He wanted to hear Powdernose out.

Aquilexkit sat on a rock near the edge of the clearing, her shoulders hunched and her head lowered as she trembled in the sun. Her skinny frame was somewhat hidden by her bristling fur - which was light blue and decorated by white spots. Her dark blue eyes remained squeezed shut. Nothing was truly the matter, she was just terrified when out of the nursery.

Watch her Clanmates, or sleep. Seeing as she’d had nothing better to do, the ThunderClan Warrior was close to dozing off. Just as she was about to close her eyes and go to sleep, she spotted one of the youngest members of the Clan. Oh, StarClan... the poor thing looked terrified. Though she usually had a laid-back, "I don’t care" attitude, the feline got up and moved a bit closer to the kit. "Hello," was all she said in a soft voice, her pale green eyes focused intently on the young cat.

Tallmarsh was unable to look away as Passionstar made his way towards her. The tom sat next to the trembling she-cat, his large frame looming over her as she shrunk away subconsciously. She kept her gaze straight ahead as he spoke to her. His tone was joking, but his words still stung. They hadn't talked in moons, and here he was, sitting with her and teasing her. She failed to find any humor in the situation. A rematch. So he was trying to be funny, she understood that. But he was acting like their battle was just a little sparring match. She took a deep breath and finally turned her head to him, the scar over her right eye finally visible to him. Her tone was sharp, but her gaze was empty as she said, "Rematch? I don't think you're head's screwed on straight. I-I-" She choked up unable to even say the words. "Why do you find this funny?" she finally snarled.

Astralpaw trotted toward the fresh-kill pile, his eyes gazing intently for the best meal. But he wasn't searching for himself, rather his mentor - Spiritfox. He felt a warm connection to the tom ever since their first training session, and he wanted to show his gratitude. The tom's eyes settled on a fat crow, well fed from all the newleaf growth. Though Astralpaw would've liked for his mentor to have a feast of his own, he figured the large bird would suffice. He grabbed the crow by the neck, straining as his chest ached from the still-healing bruises he'd gotten from falling out of a tree on his first hunt. The apprentice glanced around, spotting his elderly mentor dozing in the shade at the edge of camp. Eagerly, Astralpaw trotted over to him and gently placed the crow in front of Spiritfox before dipping his head in a respectful greeting.

The long furred ginger and grey tom had been dozing off in the shade. He had felt particularly tired when he woke this very morning and hadn't made it far out of the warriors den before he felt his leg being particularly stuck this day and he had just sighed and laid down in shade and here he was, still lying down. He honestly did not know what to do with his leg, it was one big bother but there was no way he was retiring now although that was what Tallmarsh would suggest him to do. The worst thing was that it affected the muscles around his chest and he clearly felt the weak side. Falling back into deep slumber, sometime later he smelled the scent of prey in front of him and opened his eyes slowly. Astralpaw was in front of him with a large crow just placed at Spiritfox's own paws. The way that Astralpaw clearly moved and the signs in his body language showed the elderly warrior that the bird was obviously meant for him. Yet he was growing old, there was no denying that damn thing, and with that his stomach had become smaller. He didn't use as much energy as he did when he was young and being unable to pack up fat on his skinny frame, he only ate a little every so often.

Looking up gratefully at the young apprentice he meowed, "Thank you, young one. You can share it with me though. Sit down and just enjoy the shade. You can also take some of the feathers to line your nest with. I know this is not your catch but still, go ahead." His tail curled around the young apprentice and Spiritfox gave him a short lick on his shoulder before turning to the meal and plucking off a few feathers before digging into its cavity and with a swift paw pulled out the heart of the bird. It was the best part of the entire bird and he wanted Astralpaw to have a taste of it, to possibly motivate himself to catch more birds. Spiritfox had to admit he loved to eat blackbird's more but a crow would do well, especially a fat one like this.

A sigh escaped the maw of the fluffy feline who lay in the shade of the trees, a calm and blissful look upon his face. Greenleaf was never and would never be Hummingrain’s favorite season, due to the heat and his long pelt clashing. So he was often in the shade; anyone looking for him would find him there.

In response to Hummingrain's question, he bounced ahead a little, his tail held high and the tip curled with happiness. "Why don't we just head on out and see where the prey takes us?

Astralpaw couldn't help but release a soft purr, though it was quickly cut off and replaced with a flustered look as Spiritfox offered him the bird's heart. He gave an awkwardly swift and respectful dip of his head to the older warrior before biting into it, savoring the warmth and flavor. Although he only took a few small bites before offering the rest to Spiritfox; he felt an odd protective aura over the tom, as though his mentor were his elderly father. He knew leaf-fall was long ways away, but still he wanted Spiritfox to be in the best standing possible when cold weather inevitably struck.

The elderly warrior watched the apprentice push the remainder of the soft and bloody heart over to him, but the old warrior only blinked softly before he turned to biting down on some of the soft chest meat of the crow. It was good and fresh, which he appreciated. He sat up then, and curled his tail around the soft grey apprentice and began purring as he began grooming Astralpaw's fur. He looked at the apprentice who'd become like a surrogate kit to him, and he couldn't stop his chest that was bubbling with purrs. He liked the young apprentice, his attitude and caring nature just captured the old warrior. Spiritfox felt like Astral reminded him of his own son, Darkshadow, who contrary to his name might suggest, was an extremely kind warrior who'd sadly drowned while trying to help some riverclan warriors. He had no resentment because it was a worthy death for a cat like Dark... Who'd dedicated his life to helping everyone even though they were from another clan. "Thank you again little one," he said while he kept grooming the young cat's fur. He knew they should get on with training but socializing and just taking a break was also a part of something you had to learn. It wouldn't help running yourself to exhaustion and breakdown.

He was happy to have a parental figure in his life, considering he'd grown up without either a mother or a father. He blinked warmly at Spiritfox, his eyes shimmering with protection and happiness.

Someone was a little more grumpy than usual. Passionstar was a little entertained at such a twisted situation. He could clearly see the medicine cat was trembling. So, she was frightened. She ought to be, knowing what she done to him. It wasn't even because he could be an intimidating tom, but it was more so that they had an understanding friendship and she decided to foolishly ruin that trust. His ears twitched, maybe his head wasn't screwed on straight. ''Maybe when you snapped my neck, and I miraculously came back to life, my head haven't been straightened since. It's probably still a little curved, if you ask me.'' He licked his chest fur, replying to her casually as if he was talking to another clan mate. She was the one making it awkward, or was it just him having that effect over her because she felt guilty about what she done. When she snarled at him, Passionstar impulsively snarled back at her. His upper lip pulling back into a growl, rather menacingly. ''Who do you think you're snarling at!?'' He didn't exactly mean to snap at her, but he only responded to the way she responded to him. While he had forgiven her, he was still going to watch his back around her. At first she had his loyalty, but that had been lost, and it wasn't easily regained. After realizing what he had done, the tom immediately found his composure. He still was learning to not lose his temper, as leaders needed to remain calm and diligent in any situation. Passionstar thought he mastered that virtue, but apparently he didn't as well as he thought he did. ''Actually, I find it absolutely hilarious. I don't see why you do not. I rather find it funny, then absolutely sad.''

He looked down to his paws, feeling himself curl into his own body under the pressure of Passionstar's gaze. "I- Yes, I came back. I don't... I don't know why. One moment I was sleeping in StarClan, the next I was waking up in the territory." Powdernose sighed, his ears flattened against his head. "I- I want to live in ThunderClan again, if you will allow me to stay. I will leave if you wish for me to." His tail flicked and he forced himself to raise his head and stare at Passionstar, blue eyes shining with worry.
He wanted to stay. To leave again would break his heart. Would Passionstar ever even trust him? Guilt swarmed his mind and he tried not to allow it to overwhelm him. A gentle tremble shook his body as blood pounded within his ears, echoing throughout his mind and flaring the anxiety inside of him. Powdernose held his breath as he waited for an answer.
Please allow me to stay, brother.

Passionstar wasn't even sure what to say to Powdernose. There were so many emotions welling up inside him that he couldn't explain. All he really did was stare at the small tom longingly as if his eyes could spill out every word that his mouth refused to stay. ''Starclan is very beautiful.'' The burnt ginger tom commented softly. He had been to Starclan before, when he received his nine lives, and the unfortunate event when one of his lives was taken. To see Powdernose standing right there, in the flesh? Starclan, did their mother know that Powdernose was back? Passionstar wasn't a tom who could be stoic. He was very emotional and sentimental, so he didn't hesitate to stand up and gently put his head over Powdernose's. ''You've done nothing wrong.'' He pulled back to actually look at Powdernose. ''Your home is Thunderclan for as long as you allow it.'' He decided. Powdernose never done anything that went against the code. Sure, Passionstar was a little upset about him leaving, but Powdernose had no choice in such a matter. It was nice to see him again, in the flesh, and it broke his heart a little bit, if he were being honest.

He looked up at the sun and sighed. It was getting later and he better get on with the training. Although looking at the young apprentice who'd snuggled into his own fur he couldn't hold in a small laugh accompanied by a soft purr. He stood up then and shook out his matted and dull fur. His leg felt better, it would never feel good he'd admitted some time ago, but better was a good word though. It signified that although at times it might feel bad there was also some moments where it was better than it was at normal times. He stretched and felt the relieving creaks down his spine and just stood still for a moment as all the muscles in his body relaxed from their contracted position when he'd been lying down.
He looked at Astralpaw an amused glint in his eyes. "Enough with all this peaceful chilling around. My leg is feeling good right now so I say we make the most out of it. Battle training."

He stood, lashing his tail and raising his chin as he glanced pointedly at the camp entrance. Without waiting for Spiritfox, he broke off into a slow trot as he made his way to the exit.

Cherrybubble was biding her time taking a good look around the den as Tallmarsh spoke, noting the cleanliness of it. Of course a medicine cat’s den was supposed to be clean and tidy, but to her, this amount of cleanliness was a little worrisome. “Looks like someone’s been hard at work.” She noted, her tone gentle with a careful probing to it. “What did you do, revamp the entire place?” She laughed, but it wasn't exactly real. More worried than anything. And now taking in the “mentally disheveled” state of Tallmarsh, the black-and-white feline grew more worried. She knew the pasts few moons had been hard on Snowflake, she knew more than anyone. She’d even confronted Flintspirit about it. She didn’t like the deputy too much right now, but she was torn between Tallmarsh and Passionstar. Her crush and her best friend. Two very important cats to her, who couldn’t seem to get along lately.
At Snowflake’s question, she flicked her ear dismissively. She wasn’t interested in her injuries anymore. Those were physical, and would heal easily. She was more interested in dealing with Tallmarsh’s injuries. “Eh, don’t worry, I gave that beastly brute a fright after he bit me. Tore part of his ear clean off.” She fixated her vivid leaf-green eyes on Tallmarsh, standing up and stepping closer to the medicine cat. “Tallmarsh, what’s wrong?” She sat down right in front of her regarding her with soft eyes, and expression rarely seen coming from Cherrybubble. “And don’t try telling me you’re alright. I know you. I know something’s up.” Cherrybubble straightened so she was looking straight into Tallmarsh’s eyes, making sure the she-cat couldn’t look away so easily. “You’ve spent a lot of your energy caring for the entire clan. Now it’s time that you relax and let me help you. So please. Tell me what’s been going on.”

Jaggedhawk didn’t really care much for mundane days. Repeating the same things over and over? That was just the worst.
But it seemed that being a warrior is what that entitled. As an apprentice, he’d had an amazing time with Passionstar, learning from the older tom, but also enjoying being his mischievous self quite often. He respected his old mentor, but he wished that things could be like that again. Where he was a carefree apprentice and could do things out of the ordinary every day. He’d never been one that wanted to become a warrior. Unlike other apprentices, he enjoyed being young. Even if he complained about Passionstar, he loved the ginger cat to death. In a fatherly way of course.
He didn’t have many ways to “annoy” the older tomcat anymore, so Jaggedhawk had taken to annoying the deputy. He found Flintspirit oddly intriguing. And closer to his age, so he ventured carefully with some flirting towards him. Jaggedhawk was slowly started to realize his change in attraction, the fact that it spanned beyond just she-cats now. And he quickly became fond of flirting with the deputy, who either responded well to his flirtatiousness, or shot him down. Jaggedhawk could never guess what type of mood Flintspirit was in, so it was a surprise every day. That was something he enjoyed.

But today, his deputy “friend” was busy, and Jaggedhawk had been told to get lost so the darker-furred tomcat could focus on his work. And by “get lost” Flintspirit meant go hunting, as he’d sent Jaggedhawk on a hunting patrol. He was just coming back, a sullen look on his face as he carelessly dropped his kill in the rapidly growing pile. It was green-leaf, an easy time for catching prey. But Jaggedhawk was craving excitement. So of course, he sought out a good flirting target.
“Bingo.” His like-green eyes landed on a lone she-cat in the clearing, whom he knew was Acornstep. That’s about all he knew about her though. “Guess we’ll get to know her a bit then!” He singsonged to himself before making his way over to the she-cat. Reaching her shady spot, he stayed in the sunlight, but crouched down so he could be eye level with her from her sitting position. “Well well well, what do we have here?” He meowed, tilting his head and widening his eyes like a kitten. “Hmm, I’d say, it’s a pretty molly hiding from the sun, or from responsibility.” Jaggedhawk straightened up and gave her his signature half-grin half-smirk. “But definitely not hiding from me, isn’t that right Acornstep?” He silently hoped addressing her directly by her name wasn’t too creepy. They were clanmates, right? So it shouldn’t be.

"Hey, don't diss my work," Sunwalker quipped back, swinging his head from side to side in an animated motion as he circled around the other tom. "I'll have you know I just made you look like the cleanest, best-groomed cat in all of the four clans."
In response to Hummingrain's question, he bounced ahead a little, his tail held high and the tip curled with happiness. "Why don't we just head on out and see where the prey takes us? Maybe we can even find a puddle and then you'll see my beautiful work, yeah?" He asked, brushing his shoulder against Hum's.

The grey tom huffed a little at this, watching as Sun circled him. He rasped his own tongue over his paw, which he then brought back up over his face and forehead to fix the tuft.
"Don't be ridiculous, I look just as ordinary as always,"
he said with a roll of his pale eyes before standing up properly with a small hum to himself. He was not the sort who took compliments easily, usually brushing them off to the side or flat out disagreeing. Hummingrain's maw parted in a sigh as the tom continued to speak, giving a small nudge in response.
"Oh please, we ought to head out soon; prey's only running the opposite direction as we speak,"

{ Aquilex - since Astral has given up I'm moving ahead their rolepal :3 }

The brambles rustled as Spirifox pushed his way through, a rabbit grasped in between his jaws. He'd been lucky today, the extreme sun forcing the poor animals to seek shelter in the trees and shade that made up Thunderclan's territory. He dropped off the vole that he also had clasped between his teeth before moving over to a spot in the shade. It was really too hot to be doing anything else than just sleep in the shade. Even if he wanted so sun himself he would be more likely to erupt into fire than actually be comfortable. He was slightly worried about Astralpaw though, last he'd seen his apprentice the tom hadn't been dealing well with the heat. His tail swishing he settled into the spot that was covered in cooling shade. He'd been relieved actually to be chosen to lead a hunting patrol. It had given the elder ginger warrior a chance to stretch his leg that didn't do particular well when forced to be curled up like when he was lying curled up, and also to get a drink directly from the running streams that ran through the territory. There wasn't a drought yet, but the heat wave that simmered over the camp still exhausted the old tom. He didn't dislike the heat, but it wasn't comfortable for him. Yet it was as always, better than the chill of winter that really took off lives of the old tom's existence. He had never been able to put on good fat for winter and was not exactly enjoying the sun, but doing better than others. His exhaustion was more to do with age than the sun when it all came down to it.

He smiled a sad grin, purring as he felt warmth swarm within him. "Thank you, brother." His tail flicked and he stood up, eyes bright. Powdernose then dipped his head and coughed. "I- I will be forever grateful. Thank you so much, Passionstar. N- Now, I need to go and get some rest. I will be going to the Medicine Cat once I- I wake up." The Siamese turned away and began to walk toward the warriors den, but looked back at Passionstar. "Could- Could you tell Mother about this? I- I'm not sure I can face her myself." His eyes flashed sadly before he nodded and walked away from the leader.
Once he had moved far enough away, Powdernose let out a sigh and looked down at his paws. He slid beside the warrior's den, not wishing to bother anyone inside. The tom curled up and closed his eyes, trying to ignore the tinging sensation dancing along his flesh. He gave a deep, slow breath and forced himself to relax before slipping into a fitful sleep.

Passionstar could almost see that Powdernose really needed this. He didn't need to be out on his own, there was no way he would survive out there. So, he nodded at Powdernose once, ''You should, you look like you could use it.'' He blinked, noticing a bit how tired the siamese must had been. Passionstar gave the tom a look, flicking his tail once and shook his head. ''Now, you will have to face that fiery old molly on your own. There is no way I'll be doing it, but I will be by your side when you want to tell her.'' They knew how their mother could be. Old age wasn't going to stop that molly from being her feisty self. Powdernose would probably hear an earful from Springingsky, and honestly...Passionstar was so used to Springingsky yelling at him about this and that. Passionstar watched Powdernose turn away, deciding to turn the opposite way. Once Powdernose healed up then they could catch up some more, but Passionstar felt his mind was becoming too occupied so he did what he did best to clear his head; he ran.

Each rasp of her fur was delicate and calculated. Fluffed in one spot, flattened in the other - Sorrelshine was always quite meticulous about her hygiene, more importantly that she looked good! Some of the felines in this clan didn't appreciate it as much as she did and it was obvious with their appearance. Sorrel liked to make it obvious. Offer a sly side-eye, a nasty snicker. There was no greater joy than bringing the others around her down - how else would she stay on top. The pale tabby brought a damp paw up to her face, nudging it down her face a few times before placing it back firmly on the ground. Leaning back on her haunches, Sorrelshine began to lick viciously at her belly fur, her eyes scouting every so often for someone she could bother. Not that she needed anyone - it was just entertaining!

What a coincidence! Her favorite clan weirdo! Sorrelshine seemed to perk up instantly at the sight of Treetiger, a sly grin plastered across her maw as she ditched her cleaning ritual to pace quickly towards the tabby. "Treetiger!" She greeted fondly, though there was a tinge of mocking to her voice. "Perfect timing, I was starting to get bored!"

(nobody took him, so I decided to keep him)

Mottledwing looked at him, noticing that he was looking for another cat. "Who you looking for?", she asked with a tilt of her head. She rested her tail on his shoulder and looked into his eyes.

Graysun padded out of the nursery, alongside his expecting mother Mottledwing. He was quite excited to be having Sunpaw meet his mother for the first time. His mother had forgiven him for once sneaking off to Riverclan to meet Sunpaw.

Mottledwing stopped and looked down at her oldest son. "So where is this cat you wanted me to meet?", she asked. The molly had a bit of annoyance to have been woken up. She had been sleeping in the her nest when Graysun awoken her.
Sunpaw was muttering something to herself while she was sitting. She snapped out of her thoughts when shs smelled Graysun She quickly jumped to her feet and turned to Graysun and what looked like a queen. "Hi Graysun!" She meowed happily.

There was a stir from the warriors den, moments later came a small yawn before a small calico she cat stumbled out into the sunlight. Her fur was amiss with knots and tangles accompanied by moss and little blades of grass. With a yawn the small little see cat tumbled out into the open Keith a smile one couldn’t miss, a grin planted on her muzzle from ear to ear as she plodded towards the freshkill, stopping and taking a moment to look it over, running her tongue over her whiskers before bending down to pluck a small mouse from the pile before trotting back from the direction she had come, plopping back into the grass with a satisfied grunt.

Bluepetal dragged himself out of the warriors den, though he definitely didn't want to. He stretched once he was outside and began looking for someone to talk to, specifically she-cats. It took him a minute to spot one sitting alone eating a piece of prey and he put on his absolutely beautiful smile (Or at least, he thought so) and was about to take a step towards her when he spotted Raggedkit out of the corner of his eye, sitting outside of the nursery. He wanted to go talk to the molly anyway cause, I mean, who cares about a stupid little kit right? But something in the back of his mind told him to go talk to him at least for a second so, he sighed and made his way over to his kit, smiling brightly as he stopped in front of him and said "Heya Raggedkit! Whatcha doin?" Inside though, he was groaning loudly, who wants to talk to a kit when you could talk to a perfectly good molly just over there!?

Passionstar hopped onto the high rock, giving one of his paws a few licks as he prepared himself to do ceremonies. His ears flicked, glancing at a few of his clan mates before he cleared his throat and meowed loudly, ''All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather under the high rock for a clan meeting.'' his voice boomed, as always.

''First, Witheredkit and Aquilexkit, please step forward.'' The leader flicked his tail, gesturing to two kits. ''Witheredkit, your name...it sounds so depress, so a name change is to be brought forward to you. For now on, you will be known as Wildflowerkit.'' Passionstar didn't forget that this feline had an apprentice ceremony as well, but for now he just wanted to alert her on her name change. ''Aquilexkit, you have entered a clan and is no longer a loner, so for now on your name shall be...Gentlekit.'' Passionstar smiled, nodding his head towards the two. Then before he would forget, he motioned another cat forward, ''Maplepaw, it has come to my attention that your mentor has not returned for some time. Therefore, your new mentor shall be...Talonfeather. They will teach you everything that they know.''

Now, that that was finished, it was time for the apprentice ceremonies. ''Wildflowerkit, Fawnkit, please step forward.'' He called. ''You have reached your sixth moon, and therefore are ready to start training as apprentices. Wildflowerkit, you will now be known as Wildflowerpaw, and Fawnkit, you will be now known as Fawnpaw until you become warriors.'' Passionstar pointed out, then sought out the crowd for their potential mentors. ''Wildflowerpaw, Scorchingsun will be your mentor. Mountaingrowl, you will be Fawnpaw's mentor. I trust the two of you will teach them everything you know.''

After the apprentice ceremonies, it was time for the warrior ceremonies. How exciting, new warriors for the growing clan of thunderclan. ''Sunpaw, Lightningbugpaw, Fireflypaw, Russetpaw, and Duskpaw, please step forward.'' Passionstar called all the soon to be warriors, his eyes glowing as he looked down at them with such pride. ''You all have trained long and hard to become warriors, and because of this, in turn, do you promise to uphold the warrior code even at the cost of your own life?''

''I do.''

''By the power invested in me through starclan, Sunpaw, you will now be known as Sunglow and the clan honors your caring and determination. Lightningbugpaw, you will now be known as Lightningbugfire and the clan honors your kindness and loyalty. Fireflypaw, you will now be known as Fireflylightning and the clan honors your compassion and bravery. Russetpaw, you will now be known as Russetpounce and the clan honors your optimism and intelligence, and Duskpaw, you will now be known as Duskclaw and the clan honors your determination and perseverance.'' Passionstar slowly touched noses with all the newly named warriors and congratulated them as he went down the line for all of them.

''Clan meeting, dismissed!''

Bluepetal was definitely surprised by his kits words, I mean, sure he had never out right said he hated him but I mean, from the other toms he's talked to when you're not there for your kit often they tend to hate you so he thought it as safe to assume that his kit would be the same. But, this definitely proved him wrong...which he kind of hated since being proven wrong isn't something that usually happens to him. He smiled at Raggedkit, a genuine smile which is one that he hasn't given anyone in moons but his little moment was cut short when he heard a few warriors going out to hunt and he remembered that he should probably do that as well "Well, that good to know Raggedkit but now, I've gotta get to hunting." He got up then turned to leave but hesitated in the middle of a step. Instead, he turned quickly back to Raggedkit and gave him a swift lick behind the ears as he whispered "I'll try to visit you more alright?" Fawnpaw, I am an apprentice now! I get to go to gatherings and I get to hunt and leave camp and fight! Fawnpaw was trying hard to not prance around like a kit during her apprentice ceremony. She looked around for Mountaingrowl hoping he could share her childish excitement.

Apparently the tom didn't seem to hold any sort of excitement, or even joy that he has an apprentice. Fawnpaw didn't let that get her down much. maybe he just woke up on a thorn or something, She thought trying to make up excuses. "Well, I will try my best to be a good apprentice!" she mewed, trying not to sound like an overexcited kit. "So when do we start training?"she asked with bright eyes.

SuspiciousMindz

Treetiger was leaving the Warriors' den just as Sorrelshine's voice interrupted her normal morning routine. Her ears pinned back a little as she braced herself for whatever snarky comments this warrior needed to give her. Slowly, Treetiger turned to face the warrior, her green eyes attempting to be friendly.

"Oh, hey..." she responded, frowning just a little bit. She did try her best to hide it, however.

Tallmarsh felt a storm of emotions swirling in her chest, but somehow she also felt empty. She was both overflowing with emotions she didn't know how to deal with and void of emotion altogether. As Cherrybubble talked, the dark tabby simple sat there, listening. She met the she-cat's gaze, but tore her eyes away soon after, turning her head to hide the ugly scar down the right side of her face. "Noth--nothing's wrong," she muttered. It was a hopeless lie. She knew that Cherrybubble could see right through it. It was obvious to anyone who saw the medicine cat that something wasn't right. Tallmarsh just didn't know how to tell her that her actions from the battle, the memories of that night, were tearing her up inside. She was being consumed with-with...hate and fear and disgust. She didn't feel like herself. Something in her was lost when she bought in to what the Dark Forest had been telling her. When she killed one of her best friends, she lost a part of her that she was sure she could never get back. She was once proud, vain, arrogant. She thought-no, she knew-that she was destined for something great. She was strong, quick on her feet, and a ruthless fighter. She was special. But now she was lost. She couldn't understand how or why StarClan could make her a medicine cat-something she'd never asked for-then let her be manipulated by the enemy. She was supposed to be the Clan's connection to StarClan, and she couldn't even do that right! She was just a pawn in some unknown 'higher plan'. Passionstar would probably say something about StarClan having 'mysterious ways' and that 'they have a plan for you, you just don't know it yet'. If their plan was to ruin Tallmarsh's life, then they'd done that just perfectly. She could've turned down the call to be a medicine cat, but if she'd been chosen by StarClan, then that meant she was the best cat for the job, right? She thought that, even though she didn't have any faith in StarClan, she could pull it off. She could be the best medicine cat ThunderClan had ever seen. She couldn't even do that right. She finally sighed, forcing out all of these thoughts running through her head. "I...killed Passionstar," she said weakly. As if she didn't know. Everyone in ThunderClan knows by now. She continued, softer than before, "I don't deserve..." Her sentence trailed off. She couldn't even think the words. She had been a horrible medicine cat so far, but she'd worked so hard. She didn't deserve this position, but Passionstar had show her mercy. More mercy than I showed him. She definitely didn't deserve to be here.

And with that, he was heading for the camp entrance, mind whirling as he considered his options. He was furious. Angry to have received an apprentice, when the last thing he wanted was a milk-drinker following him around and getting in his ways.

Perhaps he'd need to stage a border mishap with her. It'd be so tragic if she were to fall to the claws of a ShadowClan cat early on in her apprenticeship.

I always wanted to be Voltstorm, he said. It sounds cool. But, I know that Passionstar is the one that will choose it. What did you always want yours to be?

"Voltstorm?" He mirrored in thought, his head tilted to the side. A name just because it sounded cool? I mean sure having a cool name like that would be nice... especially if Voltkit grew up to be a fierce warrior! But Spiderpaw was more apt to be named something... mellow. "Passionstar must be ancient by now." He mumbled under his breath, taking a quick glance around to make sure no one had heard his comment about their leader being old. He found it funny, but most older felines didn't like to be reminded of their... impending trip to Starclan. "Anyway, I t-think I'd want something gentle. I'm not a big fan of my name at all r-really, I don't like spiders." Spiderpaw gave a cheeky grin, waving the kit to come sit by him. "But if I had to choose maybe something like... Spiderclaw! Oh, or maybe Spiderwhisker!"

The ginger tom's eyes widened feeling a surge of respect towards his friend. Even he hadn't heard about that! He nodded in approval, "They'll be a good start to getting everyone to join us." He nodded rather seriously for a little kit.

Lionpaw sat by the apprentice's den, eating a mouse. He hadn't been hunting and so he decided to grab the smallest thing out of the fresh kill pile and would do some hunting wen he was done eating. The apprentice was one of the easiest cats you could go up to to have a conversation with, but he was wanting somebody to go hunting with him. Lionpaw had trouble catching prey with his bright ginger fur. The bright ginger tabby cat with green eyes stood up after finishing his food, ready to head out of the Thunderclan camp.

The apprentice ruffled out his pelt in equal disgust, sticking his tongue out. "All those legs and eyes, yuck!" Still, he could understand the correlation with his name and... a spider. The were jumpy, sometimes black, and quite nervous creatures. Yep. That mostly summed him up. Though, the apprentice gingerly rose to his paws, crouching down with his large yellow eyes locked onto the kit. They might as well have a fun game of chase! "You k-know what spiders do?" He meowed with the slightest amusement, "They come to getcha!" And with that, Spiderpaw took a short leap towards the kit, giving a playful growl.

((hhh i know it's been forever im sorry do you think we could continue this??))

Tallmarsh turned her head, hiding the nasty scar on her face from him. She bristled and flinched as he snarled back at her, in her head a swirling tornado of emotions. The anger came in waves, washing over her as she resented herself and the Dark Forest. Strangely, though, she couldn't make herself angry at Passionstar. As the anger would recede, it would be replaced with sadness. She had done something she couldn't come back from, doomed to forever be remembered as the medicine cat who had killed her leader. She wondered if StarClan would reject her now. The thought that she could be stuck in the Dark Forest for her afterlife terrified her. She had been manipulated by them into performing evil acts, but at her core she wasn't evil. She was mean and vain and prideful, but she was also loyal to a fault and just wanted to show that she was worth something. She wanted to be remembered, to leave a legacy, but not this way. Her ears pinned to her head, the dark tabby muttered, "You wouldn't find it funny if not only StarClan but also the Dark Forest had it out for you." Her entire life had been one big screw up, in her opinion. She had lost everything except for her sister, the only family she'd had left. Then she was forced to choose between her sister and where her heart was calling her. So she'd lost the only family she'd had left. She had been determined as an apprentice to be the best, but it never seemed to work out for her. Just as she was starting to get somewhere as a warrior, she was chosen for this position by StarClan themselves. And from there it'd only been downhill, snowballing into the most hellish experience she'd had since fending for herself as a kit in the wild. She was determined to be the best medicine cat ThunderClan had ever seen. And look where it'd gotten her. She wanted to blame StarClan and the Dark Forest, but deep down she knew it was all her fault. Everything that had happened in her life, every bad decision, every harsh word, had led up to this. And now she was paying the price. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Can I start to fix this? She swallowed hard and stammered, "I...can't say anything to fix this. But, for what it's worth..." She paused, unsure of what to say. Nothing seemed right. "I can't keep...sulking. I need to do my job and-and try to make things right between us. I don't deserve anything from you, but...I hope it's obvious that I am horrified by my actions. I-I want to be a better medicine cat. And a better cat...I have a long way to go." She stopped, realizing that she was rambling. The medicine cat clenched her jaw and stared at her paws, preparing herself for another sharp answer.

The apprentice stretched and let out a little, whiny screech. Almost silent as he felt his back pop. It was warm today, with the perfect breeze to keep you cool. Mudpaw could laze around camp like this all day, or so he felt like he could. But he knew he couldn't he had patrols after all, he was training to be a warrior. It was always busy. Either the Elders needed more moss, or the fresh kill pile needed filled. There was never a dull day for the apprentices in the camp. And Mudpaw didn't mind that one bit. The busier he was the less he had to think about things. It felt good. But right now was one of his rare relaxing moments. He'd drink it all up as much as possible.

"Your so greedy Branchkit" Thornkit nodded at his brother and licked Greykit's ear gently. "Fine you can be leader this time, Greykit" He wanted to be fair with his litermates but it was difficult since their father was in a different Clan. "Why can't I be fair?" he thought as he continued the game.

The thick-furred tomcat made his way over to the middle of the clearing, green eyes scanning the cats mingling about. Things had been quiet in Thunderclan lately, but he supposed that was also partly his fault. There hadn’t been enough patrols happening, and he’d fallen behind on them. So today, he was going to make sure things got done. He’d grown to know more and more cats in Thunderclan, and although he wasn’t close with many of them, he trusted his clan.
He quickly spotted Talonfeather in the clearing, and he nodded to himself. He was a capable warrior. Flintspirit looked around for others to join him, spotting Spiritfox.

[Optional Prompt: you’re patrolling along the Riverclan border when you smell the stank of a fox. It’s relatively fresh. Will you investigate?]

“Talonfeather! [ CloverFlame ] I’m putting you in charge of a patrol to the Riverclan border. Take Spiritfox [ Arie ] with you, and he may take his apprentice along if he wishes. There’s been plenty of activity along the Riverclan border, so keep your eyes peeled.” He nodded to the tom, signaling he could gather his cats and head out. Then Flintspirit looked around for his next group of cats. He knew the Shadowclan border needed some checking up on.

[Optional Prompt: There’s little activity along the Shadowclan border, but near the edge that leads into deeper territory, you find a rabbit that’s half-eaten, just inside your territory. There is an unfamiliar scent about it. What will you do?]

”Okay I need Sorrelshine [ Dust ], Angelpaw [ GLaDOS ], and Foxbound [ RedHead ] to go patrolling along the Shadowclan border. Sorrelshine, I’m putting you in charge.” He always felt uncomfortable ordering Foxbound around. She was just another warrior, but that didn’t help that he knew how close she was to the leader. He hoped he had made a good choice in having Sorrelshine lead the patrol. She seemed like a sensible enough cat. He waved her off with a flick of his tail to go and collect her patrol members.

Now for the hunting patrols. He figured it would be best for him to take Minkpaw out hunting. They hadn’t trained in a while. But if he was going to be training her, there needed to be more cats there to help with the hunt.

[Optional Prompt: While hunting, you find a shiny twoleg object in the woods. Will you investigate it?]

“Tanglefoot [ jazzyanathema ], Lightningbugfire [ RedHead ]. You two will accompany Minkpaw [ Fuzzyfeline ] and I on a hunting patrol. I’ll be doing some training with her.” He then sat down and licked a white paw, running it over his ears.

With green eyes he turned to watch as the patrols were gathering together and heading out, deciding to wait until the other two patrols had left before taking his patrol out to the territory.

(Yeah we can continue this!)

“I can tell a lot is weighing on your mind. As it should be.” Passionstar murmured to her. For so long, there was this bitterness swelling up inside the tom’s Head when he knew it wasn’t in his heart. That night so long ago turned out a lot of cats against their leaders and clan mates. It was just a shame that his own medicine cat wasn’t strong enough to fend them off from manipulating her mind. However, Passionstar didn’t saunter towards her just so he could hear how pathetic she sounded. Right now, she was looking pathetic, and as he glanced at her scarred eye, it would always be a reminder for the both of them. The leader flicked his tail behind him when Tallmarsh started to speak again. Moons ago, she wasn’t this kind of cat. He remembered when she was incredibly proud and super snappy, but now she seemed docile and submissive. Passionstar’s amber-green eyes stared intensely at her as she began to speak. He didn’t say anything for a while, and his eyes moved to the heart of the camp where he watched the other cats interact. His ears flicked, mind running a million miles per minute and really he was trying to explain what he wanted to say in a simpler manner. “There is nothing you can do to make things right between us.” He finally meowed, looking back down at her. “Unless you can give me back my life that you took.” His tone was even, but there was no hint of aggression. “From this point on, instead of sulking, you should be moving on. You can’t make things right, but you can improve to make it better and we shall see where the future leads us.” Passionstar knew he was a very faulty cat with all his imperfections, but he knew he couldn’t make things right, he couldn’t be a perfect cat, so instead he embraced his imperfections, deciding he would improve himself and make things better. He touched her shoulder blade with his tail tip, he had forgiven her, but she still had a long way to regain his trust again. “I have to give you your props - never thought I’d see the day some cat take me down. Let alone a medicine cat!” He quipped. Passionstar was a notorious warrior, a tough soldier...that was killed by his own medicine cat. It sure did deflate his ego, but in a good way.

Flintspirit. The deputy. Her mentor. The very cat she had been trying to avoid for over two moons. Of course he didn't know. Why would a young apprentice want to avoid her mentor? Guilt? Fear? All the above? In Minkpaw's case it was both. She felt so guilty for what she had done, what she almost did. It ate away at her just like Coldheart's death and her family. It seemed the longer she lived more bad things happened around her. It wasn't like she felt needed or wanted in ThunderClan. She felt like an outsider just watching as life went on. That wasn't the whole reason she avoided Flintspirit. She was scared, what would he think of her? What did he think of her now? It was possible he was only training her because he was assigned and wanted to look good. She didn't know.
Tail almost dragging the ground Minkpaw made her way over to the large tom. He was huge compared to her wiry frame. The brown gray molly's skin was crawling with guilt. Did he even know she turned against ThubderClan? Trained in the place of no stars?! Ears twitching Mink sat down "Hunting training?" Not meeting his eyes she asked. That was all she could come up with. They weren't close. Minkpaw doubted they ever would be. Why would he want to be?

He knew these fears were unlikely, but it didn’t stop him from visiting the kits as often as he could.
Turning to Spiritfox, the cat with whom he had been assigned, he dipped his head in greeting, “So do you want to bring your apprentice then?” He inquired, his tail twitching with anticipation, the sooner he left, the sooner he could return. Arie

Spiritfox had been lying down and first approached the one he was assigned to be with patrol under after the announcement. As the younger warrior asked him if he wanted to bring Astralpaw the elderly warrior shook his head. His apprentice needed an off day after the many days of hard trashing and Spiritfox pushing him to his limits. He himself had planned to take a day of rest as well, his shoulder was bothering him more than usual and his limp had become more noticeable. He hoped that this younger warrior wouldn't bother him too much; Spiritfox was usually in a good mood and very accepting but he felt slightly frustrated at this moment being assigned to work under a less experienced tom. He knew Talonfeather, the tom had just had his first litter he believed, but it still annoyed the elderly ginger warrior nonetheless. His whiskers twitching slightly he shook his body trying to get the kinks shook out of his smaller frame. "Let's go then."

Tallmarsh gathered up her courage and raised her head slowly to look Passionstar in the eyes as he spoke. She slowly nodded in agreement. He was right. For all this time, she had been holding onto this pain and beating herself up over this. She needed to know that she could start to feel okay--something she never thought she could feel again. She needed to understand that this was the beginning of healing. She had dreaded talking to Passionstar, but this was the one thing she had needed to see. He had forgiven her. Now it was her turn to forgive herself.

Strangely, she had found a calm. She smiled as Passionstar quipped, reminded of the 'good old days' before everything got crazy. Back when she was just the warrior-turned-medicine cat learning how to do her job, she and Passionstar were friends. She let out a small chuckle. "Well, I was a warrior once--a pretty good one, too. Not all medicine cats are wimps!" she retorted. It was strangely familiar to have this back and forth between the two of them. It seemed like forever ago.

Lightningbugfire was dozing off in the clearing when he heard his name called by the familiar voice of Flintspirit. Green eyes opening wide, he sat up and turned so he could listen to his assignment. He grew slightly nervous as it was said. He’d never been on a hunting patrol with older warriors since he had become a warrior himself. So of course he was a little nervous. Getting to his paws, he quickly made his way over to Flintspirit and Tanglefoot, smiling fondly at Minkpaw as she blinked up at her mentor. He wasn't kuch older than her, he knew that, but he couldn’t imagine having the deputy as he mentor. That was some big pawsteps to follow in. He stood with the group and turned his green eyes to Flintspirit, waiting for further instructions.

The dark-furred tom’s green eyes caught sight of Spiritfox and Talonfeather heading out to the clearing, and he nodded to himself. He knew those two would do a nice quick job at the Riverclan border, with Spiritfox needing more rest than usual in his old age, and, if he was correct, Talonfeather’s mate had borne kits recently. He only hoped Spiritfox wouldn’t get upset that he assigned Talonfeather to lead the patrol. Flintspirit believed younger cats needed a chance at authority as well. As his patrol quickly gathered around him, Flintspirit assumed that the Shadowclan border patrol should be off soon. His patrol needed to get hunting. He gave Minkpaw a bright smile at her meek inquiry. He’d felt awful for not having the right mindset to remember her training recently, so taking her on a real hunting patrol would do her some good. “Yep! Hunting training. I think there’s been enough battle recently, so we don’t need to do that right now.” He knew younger cats always were excited for battle training.
With a firm nod to Tanglefoot and Lightningbugfire, Flintspirit waved his tail for the patrol to follow him into the territory.

Gladly, he didn’t have that problem with Doepaw.
With a shake of his fluffy pelt, the russet tom turned without a word and dashed out of camp and into the forest, heading for the Riverclan border.

Thornkit ran to his sister's side licking gently over her ears. "I really think you need to work on being gentle" he advised his brother.

For once, it was a nice day.
It wasn't something Tallmarsh thought often nowadays, but today had actually been pleasant. It was warm but not uncomfortable, and the humidity was rather low. The clear sky made for a bright, sunny day. As she sat in the shade of a tree at the edge of the clearing, she studied the swaying, dappled shadows the light made through the leaves. The medicine cat raised a paw, licked it, and ran it over her ears. If she was in view of other cats, she couldn't have a messy pelt. She took a deep breath, pushing away the shame and hate that had been terrorizing her for moons. It was easy now, where she could see all of the good things about the day and about her life. Here, her head was clear, like the sky. It was a different story in her den, though. She still struggled to push away those emotions when she was laying in her den at night, alone with only her thoughts. It almost felt like a cage. Her den compressed all the negative emotions, just waiting for her to return to face them. She sighed. At least she was here now.

Passionstar felt Tallmarsh would be fine. They both would walk around with permanent scars as a reminder of that night. He couldn't stay mad at her either because she was his medicine cat. For thunderclan, they had to work together, as a team, so it was better to start repairing their friendship now before it demolished into absolute nothing. ''I don't even believe you were a pretty good warrior, Tallmarsh. That's blasphemy.'' Passionstar jabbed at her. He knew she used to be a warrior, they both had been warriors at some point, but he moved up in the ranks of becoming deputy and now leader, and then she became a medicine cat, which was odd because Passionstar thought medicine cats were caring and Tallmarsh was forever...irritated with sick cats. ''You have to show me your moves sometime, just so I can have visual witness that you aren't a wimp.'' Passionstar's tail flicked behind him, ''Cause I'm pretty sure you are a wimp.'' He challenged, narrowing his eyes a bit as he taunted her.

Passionstar clambered onto high rock, grinning per usual. It was time for ceremonies to get finished and he was ready to appoint new apprentices and warriors; it was always an excitement. “Cats hold enough to hunt your own prey, gather under the high rock for a clan meeting!” He meowed. Now that he’s been doing this for more than a couple moons, it’s just been getting easier. First he would start with apprentice ceremonies, and therefore he flicked his tail up to begin. “Smokekit and Ragged, please step forward,” He featured to them with his head. “You both have reached your sixth moon and therefore are ready to become apprentices, so until you have become warriors, Smokekit, you will be now known as Smokepaw and your mentor shall be Foxbound. I know she will teach you everything you need to know.” Passionstar was proud of his niece. He raised her like his daughter and now she will have an apprentice of her own. “Raggedkit, you will be now known as Raggedpaw, and your mentor shall be Tanglefoot.”

After the newly made apprentices had their ceremony, Passionstar licked his chest hair to began the warrior ceremonies. “Starrypaw, Southpaw, Icepaw, please step forward.” Passionstar called, “You all have trained hard enough to become warriors. So, do you promise to uphold the warrior code even at the cost of your own life?”

“I do.”

Passionstar continued, “So in the power invested through me, through starclan, you shall be warriors. Starrypaw, you will now known as Starryskies, the clan honors your kindness and intelligence. Southpaw, you will be now known as Southwind, the clan honors your preserverance and cleverness. Icepaw, you will be now know as Icedust, the clan honors your loyalty and compassion.” He allowed the crowd of cats to cheer for those who had their ceremonies as he jumped down from the rock to each touch his nose to their shoulders briefly. “Clan meeting dismissed!”

He turned his attention to Raggedpaw, giving him an expectant look as he began padding towards him.

The new Thunderclan apprentice Raggedpaw padded out of the apprentice's den, walking over to the fresh kill pile. Waterheart knew they were old enough to eat it now, so she padded over to the fresh kill pile and pulled out a mouse. She carried it over to the three kits, sitting down on the ground. Waterheart began to rip the mouse apart, separating all the bones, so they didn't choke on them. The queen put them into a small peice and put one down for each kit. "Your old enough to try it.", she meowed.

They leaned over and picked each piece in front of them and took several mouthfuls then finished in only 2 bites. Thornkit was the only cat to know where his father had joined since he had died in battle with his father, a rouge cat and had joined the Dark Forest. "Waterheart?" Greykit asked

Then, who knows, maybe if you catch say a rabbit I'll just," as if to demonstrate, he turned his head as far to the right as he could as he finished his sentence "Look away." Passionstar felt Tallmarsh would be fine.

Tallmarsh flicked her tail in playful annoyance. "Fine, then! I was the best warrior ThunderClan had seen and will ever see!" she retorted. "If I was able to defeat you, then I've got to be pretty good, right?" It had shocked everyone, especially herself, when StarClan told her that she was to be the new medicine cat of ThunderClan. Unsure of her belief in StarClan up until that point, she was forced to reconsider the way she thought of--well, everything. She was vain, rude, and irritable, and she had been chosen for the one position that was supposed to be caring and [I]nice[I]. Even now, she was learning how to think of other cats' needs over her own. She'd never in a million years thought that StarClan would choose her for medicine cat, but here she was. Now it was her chance to work towards being the best she could. The road to recovery was going to be a long one, but regaining Passionstar's trust and rebuilding their friendship would be the first step. The second step, she thought, would be to forgive herself and regain her confidence. For the first time in moons, the medicine cat felt as if she might be able to be okay. Her heart seemed to squeeze in her chest as she felt a weight seem to lift off her shoulders just a little.

Only a few moons ago, the medicine cat had suffered a sharp strike to her right eye while fighting on the wrong side of a civil war. She winced and immediately snatched plenty of celadine and marigold flowers, a wad of cobwebs, and fresh piece of moss off her shelves and got to work. She wet the moss and applied it to the kit's eye. It was only after a few seconds that she realized she had reacted to the situation without thinking. She had gotten used to scrambling to the herb wall, racking her brain for the correct treatment, and clumsily cleaning and fixing up the wound. She felt a glow of pride as she realized that she was seeing real improvement in her medicine skills. "What happened?" the medicine cat mumbled as she continued to apply steady pressure with the damp moss.

"Mousepaw..I wouldn't bother trying to convince Branchkit, he's way too grumpy" Greykit muttered. Thornkit nodded in agreement. Branchkit glared then looked away.

Mousepaw sighed and stepped away a bit "Welp, can't blame a cat for trying." She then made her way over to Greykit with a sympathetic look "Hey, so are you okay?"

Greykit nodded. Thornkit saw Hallowpaw padding towards them.
'Hey, Mousepaw" he said with a smile.

Mousepaw turned to face the new voice and, to her surprise, it was Hollowpaw. Now, while Mouspaw knows Hollowpaw she doesn't exactly talk to him much so she responded with an awkward "Hey Hollowpaw, I was just talking to these little kits here, what's up?"

"Not much" Hallowpaw gently licked a paw.

Mousepaw sat there awkwardly for a moment, not daring to say a thing because what on Earth was she going to say!? What was she supposed to say!? She took a deep breath and sighed "Welp, I'd better be getting back to sleep." She looked back up at Silverpelt and saw that the stars had shifted a bit. She cringed and made her way back to the warrior's den, waving her tail in one last goodbye before disappearing into the den.
