Buckbranch jolted, then glanced down at his paws. He'd only touched it briefly, but would that be enough to transfer whatever had been on it to the rest of ThunderClan? "Duskpaw and Foxbound didn't come into contact with it, I made sure of it." He smiled back at her, glad she was treating him like a functioning member of the Clan instead of an untrustworthy traitor, like everyone else seemed to be acting. He started to turn around, then glanced back, a question sparking in his eyes. "I almost forgot - do you think you could put me on most patrols? I... I need to feel like I'm contributing."

She thought over it for a moment before nodding. "I will do my best to." Duskfeather gave him a nod of farewell, her hazel eyes shining. She supposed he wasn't as bad as she originally thought- at least he actually finished his patrol!

"Thank you." He sounded unnaturally relieved, almost borderline excited. He blinked at her, then down at his paws, as if suddenly remembering he needed to wash them off. He broke away from Duskfeather, heading for the exit once more to find a secluded water source somewhere deep in the territory.

The she-cat dropped her bird in the fresh-kill pile, flicking her tail as she caught sight of Buckbranch speaking with Duskfeather. She was glad that the tom seemed happy at being able to do something, and she only hoped that positive behavior would continue. She turned to Duskpaw, flicking her tail at the pile. "Go ahead and drop those mice there, and then I want you to get some rest. You can come find me tomorrow, and we'll start with some battle training, okay?"
Once she'd gotten the clearance from her apprentice, she padded towards Buckbranch, hoping to maybe speak with him once he was done talking to Duskfeather. She kept a respectful distance away, not wanting to look like she was interupting of course. Also because well... Personally.... Duskfeather made Foxbound uncomfortable. She didn't know why, but there was something Foxbound found.... off about her.

Jaggedhawk jumped straight to his paws at the prospect of battle training. Of course he would go do battle training, that was his favorite thing about these changes that Flintstar had been making happen. "You got it miss! Battle training will commence, and I'll make sure of it!" Sure, his tone was a little too enthusiastic, but Jaggedhawk had found things turning out to be better than before. He was finding himself again, and he enjoyed it. Over-enthusiasm was his specialty, of course. "Icy darling, we're doing some battle training!" He snickered, calling for his friend. "You too Hollowedaster, don't worry, I won't leave you out!"

Flintstar wasn't surprised to see Tallmarsh entering his den, honestly he shouldn't be surprised to see anyone entering his den when he was in it. He always made himself a constant figure in the clearing, so many cats might try to look for him if he was not found there. "Buckbranch needed some.... discipline to learn his place." Flintstar meowed after a moment, in response to Tallmarsh. "And Duskfeather is currently what this clan needs. Do you not agree? Look at all what she's done for us so far." Flintstar turned to face his medicine cat, leveling her with a stern look. She could learn a thing or two from Duskfeather. Honestly, they all could.

Flintstar had just been curling up for the night when he heard Duskfeather's voice outside his den. An idea? That sounded intriguing. Of course, Flintstar was always open to hearing his deputy's ideas. Even with Buckbranch, he'd wanted to hear anything the tom had wanted to suggest. Even if he was not always the best about handling those suggestions. "Yes, come on in Duskfeather, tell me what's on your mind."

Spottedheart finally stepped into camp and didn't waste a second before heading towards the deputy, a smile on her maw. "Duskfeather, I came back to report!" She said enthusiastically before she continued. "The Thunderglade was marked... At first we found a scent, but it happened to be fox-dung, which looked quite old, so nothing to worry about, though, maybe we should patrol the Thunderglade more often, WindClan's scents aren't that strong, which is quite surprising." She said and waited to hear what the deputy had to say.

Duskfeather had to stifle a giggle as the warrior spoke on her lips. "Are you still able to breathe?" she commented, "That was quite the long sentence you had there. But thank you for reporting. I will be sending more patrols to the Thunderglade from now on. You may rest now, as well as your patrol members." The Torbie offered a smile, then looked over the camp. All of the patrols had been reported, but there were two cats she needed to scold for their laziness. Standing, she nodded farewell to Spottedheart before bounding into the center of the camp. She was honestly proud of the recent group of patrols, they had all finished and reported!
Except for two warriors...
"Swifthare! Tigerbranch! Get your lazy butts out here! I was told that your two didn't help your patrol- Bluegorse and Darkpaw had to do it alone. This laziness will not be tolerated under my watch. You two will remain confined to the camp until you have both cleaned the warrior's den, apprentice's den, and the nursery! Neither of you are to step a paw out of this camp until you report back to me and I have checked that your jobs have been done. Do I make myself clear?" Her tail lashed as she spoke, eyes narrowed and grazing over the camp to look for each warrior. ThunderClan could not afford to have lazy asses who couldn't even partake in patrols!

The Torbie stepped into the den, holding her head high as she greeted Flintstar with a nod. Her tail was waving back and forth, her thoughts layed out in her mind. She was ready to explain her idea in detail. Sitting down, Duskfeather opened her mouth to speak, keeping her voice leveled so it didn't echo around the den. "There hasn't been much fun within the Clan," she began, "We do the same things every day, and not much of the Clan seems to be enjoying their duties. They're growing to be lazier and lazier. So, after watching kits play outside the nursery, I had a thought." Duskfeather paused for a moment, allowing the tension to rise. "What if ThunderClan had a series of games to play, one for each age level? It would allow everycat to have some fun, as well as prove to be some training- or even final assessments- for apprentices. It would also include both warriors and kits, so they wouldn't be left out of the fun, and it'd liven up the Clan quite a bit!" She smiled as she explained her idea, inwardly hoping Flintstar went along with it despite her vagueness. Duskfeather didn't know what they could do for each game, and knew Flintstar could possibly think of something.

Out of the corner of his eye, Buckbranch saw Foxbound approaching him, and raised his head to stare at her. A bitter thought flashed through his mind - Oh, NOW she wants to talk. - but he shoved it quickly away, knowing he was only being unfair. Foxbound must have been busy, and that was why they hand't really sat down and discussed things lately.
Discussed... He cringed as he remembered their conversation in the warrior's den that one evening. Why had he felt comfortable enough to open up like that? He only felt awkward now, whenever he saw her around camp. He gave her a doubtful nod and began to make his way towards her, though he was unsure of what to say.

Flintstar listened carefully, and the life Duskfeather talked, the more he liked the idea. Soon his green eyes were wide with excitement, tail swishing back and forth. He loved where this was going. The leader jumped up to his paws, eyes uncannily large. His fatal scar from the rogue battle still showed through his fur on his neck, but it didn’t hinder Flintstar’s movement in any way. “We could have maybe some mossball tournaments for the kits! And hunting tournaments for the apprentices!!” Just thinking about this was getting him way too excited. “And we could do some sort of sneaky fighting game! Sneaky fighting games were so much fun when I was an apprentice!” Flintstar started towards the den entrance, his gait bouncing as he tried to contain his excitement. “Duskfeather! This is the best idea ever! We must announce it to the clan right away!” He stopped upon seeing the quiet clearing and the dark sky outside his den. “Or maybe..... early tomorrow morning at the soonest.” He laughed sheepishly.

Duskfeather stifled a giggle at his childish excitement, smiling as he hopped to his paws. "Yes, those all sound good. Though, wouldn't it make sense for me to announce it, as it was my idea? What would we call this set of games?" she questioned, her head tilted to the side. It would, truly. She had everything she'd say planned, and how she could make it persuasive to the Clan. It certainly was exciting, though she didn't have as much of a reaction to it as Flintstar. A big boy, he says, but clearly still a kit at heart.

Sorrel stood strong at the entrance of the camp, bleak nervousness swirling in her gut. The last shreds of her heritage were stolen by these brutish beasts and now they lay claim to land that had no name but mother earth's on it. Calling it a victory, no less! It was insulting. And horrifying, because they came in so swiftly to turn their lives upside down, run them out without a single regret. Sorrel hardly thought she'd ever be standing in their clearing like a bug on display while she waited for some figure of authority to take notice. She felt like she had no future, becoming a part of this group was her only chance, yet she almost expected them to start ripping into her without warning like they had her kin.

“Thunderclan’s Official Friendship Games.” Flintstar meowed immediately after Duskfeather’s sentence, as if he already had the name within his head. But she wanted to announce it. That did pose a problem for his excitement. He stopped and turned to her, his eyes growing wide, before narrowing in thought. “How about..... if I get to announce your idea.... I’ll let you....” He paused for dramatic effect, looking between Duskfeather’s eyes. “Do the ceremonies after the games? I bet you always wanted to conduct ceremonies.” Flintstar have a smirk, believing fully that ceremonies was a large privilege for his deputy. Flintstar himself enjoyed doing them, so why shouldn’t anyone else?

Flintstar had returned from the battle, no longer fighting, but now his mind was having a war of its own. Was that really the right thing to do? It had felt so right at the moment, but then... now he was doubting what Powdernose had said. What he’d displayed out there? That wasn’t kindness. That was aggression. They’d just forced cats out of their homes during leaf-bare. But they’re just a few cats. They can find new homes. Thunderclan needs it more. Your responsibility is to your clan. No one else. Flintstar kept trying to tell himself this, but there was something.... wrong about his reasoning. Would Passionstar have done that? Flintstar didn’t know. He sighed, ears flattening against his head in internal defeat. That’s when he caught the scent of a cat hanging near the entrance of the camp. Flintstar hadn’t yet cleaned the blood from his healed wound, but he turned to face the rogue anyways. His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at her, but soon he relaxed. She was alone, and in his camp, there was no reason for him to act hostile. “Are you here to tell me what I did was wrong?” He asked, internally seeking for some sort of answer.

Duskfeather had decided that it was time to send out patrols. The last ones had returned and she could only hope that these next few would do the same. She stood amd bounded into the center of the clearing, raising her head high as she called out for each patrol.

(Optional prompt: While patrolling, you notice that the borders are unusually strong. Is RiverClan trying to say something?)
"Blossomclaw [ Pepperkins ], take Raccoonpaw [ Sharp moon ], Linnetwing [ Blissie Bliss ], and Brightpaw [ @Sneakyfox 55 ] to the RiverClan border. Report anything that may be unusual." She nodded to the named cats, offering a smile before continuing.

(Optional prompt: While you travel, one of the patrol members gets stuck in a rabbit burrow, their paw caught in the hole!)
"Snowflakedust [ Silhouettes ], take Ivyleaf [ Ivyleaf ], Hazelpelt [ Hazelpelt ], and Ferretwatcher [ Sneakyfox55 ] and go to the ShadowClan border. As always, report anything unusual." Another nod, more cats.

(Optional prompt: Oh no! One of the apprentices has decided to follow a squirrel up a tree, and can't get down! What will you do?)
"Mintfrost [ Kitty Mama ], take Herringpaw [ |+Tired Rose Child+| ], Dustbreeze [ Ever ], and Leopardpaw out hunting. You may choose where you wish to go." She smiled to Mintfrost- they seemed to be okay from the rogue attack, and could probably handle a hunting patrol well. Onward!

(Optional prompt: A hungry fox has made its home in a hollowed tree. As you pass by it, he hops out, desperate for anything to eat! Will you fight or flee?)
"Scarface [ FlameSta ], take Icedust [ Fuzzy ], Honeypaw [ FlameSta ] and Springpaw [ Bluepetal ] out hunting. You may also choose where you would like to go." Her tail flicked as she though over Scarface's name. It was quite cruel, she had to say. Maybe she would speak to Flintstar about it.

[ IF YOU HAVE BEEN MENTIONED ABOVE, YOU'D BEEN ASSIGNED TO A PATROL! ALL MUST BE FINISHED AND REPORTED TO FLINTSTAR OR DUSKFEATHER BY FEBRUARY 9 at 11:59 PM EST. IF THEY ARE NOT FINISHED, CONSEQUENCES WILL ENSUE. ]

Speak of the tom, Duskfeather noticed as Flintstar returned to camp, her ears perking at the sight of him. She stood and rushed over to meet the leader, ready to question how everything went, when she noticed the rogue that had emerged. The deputy narrowed her eyes, inwardly cursing herself for not noticing the cat before. Though she seemed to be harmless... Duskfeather still didn't trust her. She sat down next to Flintstar, ready to spew questions at the rogue when she caught sight of the wound on his neck. "Flintstar! What happened?" she questioned, "Are you alright?" Worry became apparent on her face and she frowned deeply, ears flattening against her head.

Duskfeather couldn't help the giggle that escaped. What a silly name! Though it did fit quite well, and she liked it. "Alright, that sounds like a plan," she replied. Her head tilted to the side at his next words. Conducting ceremonies? It did seem to be a lot of fun, and she would enjoy allowing her creativity to flow when assigning mentors and creating warrior names- as well as changing a certain tom's name. A change was already in mind for him. So, after a moment, the Torbie nodded. "Alright, deal. Speaking of ceremonies- we have quite a few apprentices that are ready for their final assessments. What if the hunting and 'sneaky fighting' games were the final assessment? We would have to postpone ceremonies until the games are over, but we would have a new array of young warriors within the Clan." Duskfeather watched the leader closely, unable to stifle the smile on her face at his eagerness. This would be quite the fun experience.

Flintstar didn’t care that Duskfeather was laughing, he knew he was overreacting but he was just so excited. This was exactly the thing he needed to take his mind off of... bad thoughts and experiences. And it’s exactly what the clan needed as well. At Duskfeather’s suggestion for the apprentices, Flintstar paused for a moment here to actually think about it. He didn’t like putting young cats in danger, but she was right, there were many apprentices ready to be warriors. “Yes, that sounds like a good idea. That way Thunderclan can have many new warriors at one time. That will be good for us.” He concluded with a smile. Flintstar then walked towards the back of his den, taking the few steps it took to get there. “Okay, so its a plan. Ill announce these games in the morning, and you may conduct the next round of ceremonies. For now, both of us will sleep.” He sent one last excited smile towards Duskfeather before he stepped into his nest, curling up and closing his eyes to try and get some sleep. Not that he might be able to, with all the excitement running through him now.

Starclan has healed it, but the blood was still there, drying in clumps on his fur. ”I’m fine, it was just a little scuffle.” He meowed, flicking his tail towards the rogue to indicate here was not the best place to talk about it. “We took the territory...” He trailed off and glanced back up at the rogue, awaiting her answer and explanation for why she was here.

Foxbound gave Buckbranch a smile as he padded towards her, picking up her own paws and meeting him halfway. “How’re you doing?” She asked, tilting her head, the small kind smile still on her face. It wasn’t a forceful question, but something simply open and inquisitive. He could answer it however he wanted and Foxbound would take any answer. She just wanted to make sure her friend was alright. And let him know she didn’t think very badly of him at all. Not anymore.

It was morning, and it was a bright one at that. The sky seemed to Ben clear today, a rare occasion during leaf-bare. Flintstar was hopeful that that meant new-leaf would be here soon. He didn’t mind the cold, but this leaf-bare had been especially hard on his clan. They needed something to hope for, something to look forward too. And he wanted to give that to them. But for now, this was the best thing he could give them. Hopefully they’d find it as much fun and exciting as he did.
Bounding up to the highpeak with a renewed energy and exuberance, Flintstar called for his clan to gather. “Let all Thunderclan cats gather here beneath the highpeak for a clan meeting!” He yowled. He wanted his clan to Ben excited for this, so he didn’t contain the excitement that laced his tone.

Duskfeather knew what this meeting was about. She slipped from where she had taken her spot outside the warrior's den, bounding over to the Highpeak. Her hazel eyes grazed over the clearing as she watched for the Clan to gather, her tail tip twitching beside her. She didn't miss the change in the call, gathering the entire Clan instead of only those who may catch their own prey. Hopefully the Clan would share the same excitement Flintstar had!

Songthorn stepped from the warrior's den with a yawn. Why in the name of StarClan was Flintstar calling a meeting so early? He grimaced and walked over, sitting down grumpily and grooming debris from his pelt.

Leopardpaw's ears perked from where she had been laying in the clearing, her head tilting to the side. She stood and stretched before making her way over to the soon-to-be crowd, sitting down and wrapping her tail over her paws. What could be making Flintstar so excited?

She frowned, worry plastered across her face, but fell silent and stared at the rogue. After they were finished, she would usher Flintstar into his den and question him- then force him to rest. But a separate matter was at paw now. The outsider certainly appeared different from that Phoenix who had appeared. Her hazel eyes trailed around the camp, searching for him. Moonpaw was already up, bright orange eyes moving to Flintstar as he called the clan together. He seemed excited, and Moonpaw herself couldn’t help but feel excited as well. Anything the leader was actually excited about was sure to be something good right? The dilute calico padded over to the slowly gathering cats, seating herself beside Songthorn and glancing up inquisitively at Flintstar.

Jaggedhawk was just exiting the warrior’s den upon hearing the call, and he gave himself a moment to stretch out husband limbs before padding over, a yawn taking over his face before he shook out his pelt and sat, lime green eyes narrowing in confusion towards the leader.

What’s the might leader want now? Cherrybubble groaned as she exited the den, stretching out her cold and sore limbs. She was getting older, but of course still had a lot of fight left in her. She’d still be a warrior for moons to come. Taking her usual seat on the far side of the clearing next to the medicine den, Cherrybubble squinted against the bright morning sun outlining Flintstar’s figure.

Foxbound had followed closely behind Jaggedhawk out of the den, splitting off and taking a seat near the middle of the gathered cats, giving herself a moment to groom her fur, ruffled from sleep. Flintstar seemed pretty excited about the meeting, so he’d probably wait until most the clan was gathered before announcing anything.

She was smiling at him. Was that a good thing, and did she really mean it, or was she just taking pity on him? He offered a hesitant small grin back, though his paws shuffled uncertainly as she approached. "I'm doing alright, I guess," he answered, sitting down and letting his tail fall over his paws. But it was a lie, however small it was. He wasn't doing fine. He'd watched Flintstar die, and it had been his fault. If the leader hadn't let his guard down to yell at him, Flintstar might still have that life. And then Buckbranch had completely lost it. He'd been prepared to rip that other she-cat to shreds, and he wasn't even sure if the giant torbie and his opponent had known each other at all. They'd seized Victory Woods, as Flintstar was now calling it, but the cost had been terrible. This is exactly why I hate combat. Everything would have gone so much simpler if we had just tried to solve it peacefully.
"How- How are you?" She hadn't snapped at him yet, which was probably also a good thing, and she also looked like... like she actually cared about him? Was that a thing now? He relaxed a little, his smile becoming just a bit more real.

Sorrel was outwardly stoic in the face of a churning storm within her that wanted to raise her hackles, growl, and yet fall apart into sobbing at the same time. It was all so conflicting and confusing now that everything she'd known was in shambles. When they locked eyes briefly, it struck her that this was one of them, he'd been there. He'd been calling the orders too, an implication that he was higher in this strange hierarchy, though she didn't know much about clan life aside from its violence. Her ears flattened at his question. "I do not look for a senseless fight." The response was quiet and a little uncertain in its wording, wonky since she didn't know the typical vernacular of these cats. But despite the resentment, Sorrel couldn't afford to fight them, they didn't have the numbers or strength to fend them off. She ached for home, but she silently reprimanded herself, a reminder this would have to be her home since they'd claimed their territory.
When it seemed they were waiting for her, a lump was in her throat. "Our home...taken. I have nowhere to go. No more family." They'd been driven off, scattered with the rest, and she tried to ignore the way it gutted her to say that aloud. "I have to ask for mercy, means I am not trying to harm. Just survive."

But then again, 'miss crisis Iris' was always causing trouble, wasn't she? She sighed, wishing she could sink back into her nest and go back to sleep.

Her ears perked up in interest at the tom's response. She felt abashed by his words- how hadn't she picked up on his kindness to his clanmates? How had she been so harsh, so rude? She shook her head, working up the courage to apologize.
"I'm always a bit crabby...it's not your fault. I should have noticed your hesitancy." She mewed quietly, finishing up with her work. She smiled, gazing at the warrior.
"I guess I have a thing or two to learn about respecting my elders, don't I?" She purred, her pelt growing hot self-consciously.

Elder? Pah! Bluegorse shook his head, reaching to swipe some snow at the smaller feline. "Please! I can't be more than a few moons your senior, I'm not that old!" Was he? His warrior ceremony wasn't too far back, and Bluegorse tried to keep a kit-like nature when he wasn't in so much pain. They weren't quite sure what this meeting was about, but Flinstar and Duskfeather sure seemed excited about it! Maybe they found a spot in the outskirts chuck-full of prey? Ohh, that'd be a good announcement. They licked their lips just thinking about it, followed by a loud belly-growl.

Smiling up at their leader, Firebug waited patiently among their fellow Clanmates, tail-tip twitching with excitement.

Mosspaw and Geckopaw padded out of the Apprentices den, a skip in one of the tom's step, while the other one sheepishly trudged on behind their brother. However as they came out together, they both seperated as they got closer to the Circle of felines that was beginning to form.

Mosspaw went over to his mentor, folded ears pricking up as he gave Sunsnow a sheepish nod of the head before sitting down next to the tom. Though giving a good amount of space.

Geckopaw went more towards the middle of the crowd. He didn't mind being surrounded by his Clanmates, he was the Social Butterfly. The Bengal mix hopped a few Fox-lengths than sat himself down...more like jumped and landed heavily. Snow flying up around the apprentice as he just sat there and laughed. Getting the last few giggles out of his system, the Apprentice looked up at Flinstar, ready to get serious and listen! Like a proper Warrior would do of course.

The deputy narrowed her eyes at the rogue, prepared to reply before Scarface beat her to it. "Scarface! Put those claws away, and do not let me hear you threatening anyone again," she growled, her voice stern, "I will not tolerate such violence, whether it is to a Clanmate or to a rogue. Am I understood?" Her tail lashed, teeth baring at the warrior. "You are to go to the warrior's den and stay there. I will be speaking with you later." With a dismissive flick of her ear, Duskfeather turned to Phoenix.
"My name is Duskfeather, and I am the deputy of ThunderClan. You will answer my questions or you will leave." She raised her head, puffing up her chest. Her claws sunk into the ground below as her face fell from the angry expression it had adopted, changing into that of distrust and annoyance. "If you wish to join, you will receive a name similar to mine. And you do not have a choice," Duskfeather explained, "We are not mouse-brained. Any lie you tell will be found and you will be punished." She leaned closer, her pupils mere slits. Oh, she was not in the mood for such smart-assery.
"You are outnumbered. If I see a reason for you to be taken down, I will call for it. You are an outsider in a camp of loyal Clan cats- we hold no trust for you, and many would be glad to rid of you. One mistake, and you are gone, whether Flintstar is here or not. It is my duty to protect the Clan, and I will do just that. Do I make myself clear?" Her ears flattened and she continued to glare at the rogue, unmoving as she awaited his response. A call for warriors to come to her aid was on the tip of her tongue, already prepared for if Phoenix decided to try and escalate the conversation.
She was not playing around.

The tom let out a snort at Scarface's words, "I have absolutely no clue who you are bub. I don't know if you noticed but I just got here...I don't know who any of you are." he snickered before his attention was brought back to the molly. Ears pricked as he heard what she said. At her objection to his violent statement the Rouge couldn't help but laugh. "No violent nature? Isn't that the basic definition of you clan cats? You take. That's it that's all you do is take and kill and you say you won't tolerate it?" he boomed, tears pricking his eyes as he continued to laugh. "Are you not always going to war with one another?" he asked finally as he managed to calm himself down. Using the back of his paw to wipe his tears.

Phoenix half expected for her to get angry at him, so it was no surprise when she started to scold him. "Oh? Duskfeather my apologies, couldn't hear quite too well over all the rest of the yelling cats. What was it they were yelling about agai-" however the Tortoiseshell's rambling was swiftly cut off as the Deputy continued to growl and snap at him. He listened quietly as she spoke of the clan and all that happy jazz. Expressionless as she talked on and on about how she was going to kill him and get rid of him. Once she finished he let out a snort, a grin spreading on his face. "What was it you were saying? No violence? And besides, they haven't even met me. I didn't attack you guys, if I did do you really think I'd be stupid enough to waltz into my death? You'll have pawfulls of cats come over to kill and slaughter just one Rouge?" he asked, his grin replaced with a serious expression. Green hues flared with anger.

"Why should I tell you the truth if you haven't even tried to give me a chance? I walked in here all by myself and the first thing you do is threaten me. You want me to tell you all about my life and open up my heart when you have yours shoved behind some brambles? No thank you. So here. Let me tell you all that you need to know." he paused. "My name is Phoenix. I'm a Rouge, no family parents were slaughtered. I don't like any of the Rouge groups so I decided to give Clanlife a shot but so far it seems like it's not the good choice. Seeing as though you're just as bad as the Rouges out there."

Cedarstream sat near the back of the clearing. She was awfully tired now after all the excitement of the fight and ready to go and sleep. She groomed her face carefully, face still sore from the battle.

Dustbreeze trotted in. She still felt bad for not having gone to defend the clan in that battle, but having seen the scratches of those who came in she couldn't regret her decision. Fighting scared her. That was okay though, she could hunt and do other duties for the clan. The tortoiseshell sat in the middle, feeling more confident than she had in recent moons.

Petalkit padded out of the nursery, her tail low. Her mother had passed away a couple weeks ago and there was nobody to take care of her anymore. Buckbranch came trotting up, his eyes bright with curiosity. A meeting, so early in the day? Both Flintstar and Duskfeather seemed incredibly excited about it, so it must be something good, or at the very least worthwhile. He took a seat next to Foxbound, gazing expectantly up at Flintstar. At least he seemed to be doing alright. Buckbranch would have to talk to him afterwards, apologize for making him drop his guard. He dug his claws into the ground, jaw clenching. Elder? That.. pulpy thing she put on him was helping, the burn had faded into a numbness.

The sound of pawsteps stole his attention from her, and he squinted at the returning patrol. Flintstar looked like hell, and some of the others didn't look much better.. did they win? The rogue that came in seemed to think so. "I should probably let you um, deal with them! I probably shouldn't hold you up.." he offered her a small smile.

She blew a playful raspberry at the tom as the snow landed on her pelt, glaring softly at the tom. He didn't look that old...but he still looked old. She purred once more, sticking a final cobwebs on his pelt.
"If you think so, Bluegorse! They always say 'youth is in the mind'." She teased, bunching up the remaining herbs.

Her gaze flickered in the direction of his own, eyes widening in surprise at Flintstar's patrol. They looked battered. She gave a mrrow of curiousity. Did they win? She turned to Bluegorse.
"Uh, yeah, I guess so...see you around! Be aware, take care!"

With a good portion of the clan gathered, Flintstar decided he could continue with his announcement. He couldn’t wait any longer, plus he figured if the others were as excited about it as he was, word would get around quickly about it to the rest of the clan.

“As you all know, Thunderclan has gone through some recent changes. Most recently being out expansion to the outskirts, claiming a new piece of territory for ourselves.” He paused here, knowing he was still touchy about this subject. But what was done was done. “That part of the territory is still dangerous, so for now, only warriors are allowed to hunt there, and they must go in groups of no less than four.” Safety first. Safety was always first for his clan.

But with that out of the way, Flintstar’s bright smile returned as he readied to announce what he was truly excited about. “On another note, Duskfeather and I have been discussing, and we believe Thunderclan needs something to help us grow closer together as a clan, as well as give some apprentices a chance to fulfill their final assessment and become warriors.” He then cast a glance towards the nursery, spotting a couple of the kits near the mouth of it. “And don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten our lovely kits either.”

Taking a deep breath, Flintstar prepared himself to officially announce the games ideas. “We’re going to have a mossball tournament for the kits, which will be overseen by our queens as well as myself.” His tail twitched in excitement as he chuckled inwardly, knowing full well him “overseeing” was going to be him ending up “playing”. Flintstar never missed a chance to hang out with the kits when he could though. “Then we’re going to have a hunting tournament for our warriors and apprentices. As it’s leaf-bare, the tournament will really tear everyone’s skills. Even our most esteemed hunters.” The leader paused for a moment to catch his breath. “Finally, there will be a sort of “hide and fight” game, where the apprentices will go up against their mentors in a sneaking fight contest. The hunting tournament and the hide and fight game will be considered a final assessment for many of our older apprentices, but i still encourage everyone to participate.” Flintstar then paused with a flick of his ears, allowing all of that to sink into his clanmates. Then he turned his attention to Duskfeather. “Duskfeather, do you have anything to add?”

Amusement danced in Morningsun's green eyes at Condorkit's whine. Such a forward kitten. She would've never dared to speak out like that when she was his age; even if those mossballs were pretty boring playthings. Can't really blame him though, he's near apprentice-aged... Then the thought hit her, The apprentices!

"Flintstar, what about those apprentices whose mentors have disappeared or gone elsewhere? How will they go about the Hide and Fight game?" To her, the question seemed a fair point to bring up. Would the lack of mentors for some apprentices hinder their ability to move forward in their training?

Duskfeather thought for a moment, thinking over anything Flintstar may have missed. Her ears flicked and she looked toward Condorkit as he shouted out, head tilted to the side. "You are not yet an apprentice, Condorkit. If you don't wish to participate, you don't have to. All of the other kits would still be having fun with or without you," she explained, "Kits are not to be out of camp, and you don't even know how to hunt! I'm sure your future mentor will take you hunting plenty of times." She offered a kind, though thin-lipped smile toward the young cat. Kits made her... uncomfortable. But she would still take part in helping with the games, albeit focusing more on the warriors and apprentices.
With Morningsun's question, she turned to the warrior. "Warriors who do not have apprentices, but who would still like to participate, may take on an apprentice to watch over and judge during the games. Others may also take on a second apprentice to judge." The deputy looked over the crowd, her tail twitching excitedly. Duskfeather's hazel eyes glistened brightly, lips twitched into a wider smile. "All ceremonies will be paused until the games are completed. This will give time for any last-heartbeat actions to be taken." She nodded and fell silent, holding nothing more to say. Flintstar had covered it all quite well.

"We do not trust outsiders. If you prove to be a threat to the Clan, we will not hesitate to ensure that you do not return to our territory. A true warrior will not cause needless bloodshed- do not make it needed." Duskfeather straightened herself up, her eyes narrowed. Her stance had fallen as she realized what she was saying, disgust sparking within her at her own violent words. The deputy flattened her ears, nose wrinkling. "It will be up to Flintstar if you are to join. He is the leader, and the leader's word is law. If you are to become a Clan cat, you must follow the Code. You will train as an apprentice until you prove your worth as a warrior. You will protect the Clan with your life, and will not return to the world of a rogue. If you do not agree to these terms, the entrance is there. You are welcome to leave."
As two more warriors approached her, she found herself turning her head, giving them a smile of greeting. "Owlwatcher, Morningsun," Duskfeather began, "That is quite disappointing. Thank you for telling me, Morningsun. I will be sure to take action to prevent such laziness from happening again. ThunderClan will not tolerate its warriors not doing anything. As you told me, nothing will be taken against you, unless you wish to do some hunting to make up for the lack of the battle party. Our fresh-kill pile is rather low, and we must stock it well for the leaf-bare days to come." She nodded gratefully to the she-cat, flicking her tail dismissively. Duskfeather then turned to Owlwatcher and looked at him expectantly, waiting for the warrior to continue. She assumed that it was to report a patrol, though she hadn't assigned him to any patrols recently, so she was intrigued by what he wished to speak to her about.
The deputy's attention was broken by Scarface rushing into camp. She truly didn't enjoy his name. It seemed quite... cruel, really. To be named for something that doesn't show who you really are? Nobody should be named for their scars. Who named him? Duskfeather shook the thought from her mind and stood, flicking her tail for Phoenix to follow as she calmly walked toward Scarface and Honeypaw. She was worried of course, her expression twisted in concern as she noticed Honeypaw's limp form. There was no need to panic, however. She kept her voice level as she spoke. "What happened, Scarface?" she questioned, her tail flicking.

Activities for kits? Alright, Firebug had to admit that it was cute, but they were a little disappointed. Shouldn't these activities be taking place naturally? Was there really a need for this event...?

Nodded in agreement with the crowd's concerns, Firebug was glad their clanmates were on the same page as them. Though as they listened to Duskfeather's dismissal toward Condorkit and Morningsun's concerns, Firebug frowned. "What? Why are the games more important than the ceremonies?" It made no sense. Why would their leaders want to focus on all play and no action?

Turning to Flintstar, Firebug spoke out. "May I ask why you think games should be a priority for us right now? We're broken and tired, Flintstar. Not bored." They wanted to support their leader's decision, but they simply couldn't understand any of his decisions made since he became leader...

I will be sending more patrols to the Thunderglade from now on. You may rest now, as well as your patrol members." The Torbie offered a smile, then looked over the camp.

As Cranerose snuggled into her nest, she suddenly felt a movement in her belly. A wave of excitement brought her back from the brink of sleep, but she was far from irritated. Should she already be thinking of names? Because she already had a few in mind! Oh, when Sharpclaw would hear about this!

Bluegorse was curious, perking his ears. "How are you determining what apprentices will be qualified after this.. competition? Are you going to review their former training experience before you make a decision?"

Perhaps he was a little concerned of the possibility of cats.. slipping through that weren't as prepared for being a warrior. ThunderClan needed strong, well trained warriors, not apprentices that'd only been an apprentice for a couple moons and did the bare minimum to get their warrior name through this contest. Confusion pricked along Mintfrost's pelt when Flintstar said Thunderclan needed something to help them get closer. This was supposed to be a time of victory and didn't feel like it, everyone was hungry and exhausted, and some of them were still nursing their wounds. He was astonished that the leadership believed games were the answer to their woes that had nothing to do with a lack of connection to one another. They were bound by their mutual struggle with starvation in a burnt forest! And more recently, being under attack for a territory grab. Mintfrost was trying hard not to be embarrassed by this choice and hoped Flintstar and Duskfeather at least wouldn't let the other clans know of this. With a lump in his throat, he was still staring at the Highpeak but didn't know what to say. It wasn't the time for criticism, but he understood where his fellow Thunderclanners were worried. He was going to be respectfully sitting this out and scouring the territories for something for their contestants to eat when they were done competing in games.

Dutbreeze lifted her black and organe head, ears perking at the news of that. It sounded like fun! Especially good for a clan that had had so many hardships lately. The hunting tournaments would be a fun and engaging way to train the apprentices, and hunting benefitted the clan whether competitive of not.

"I think it will be fun! We really need something to raise spirits. Plus mentors can just monitor their apprentices hunting, that's a huge part of assessing an apprentice for becoming a warrior anyways." Her tortoiseshell fur prickled with excitement as she beamed a smile to the leader and deputy.

Flintstar nodded at Duskfeather's addition, and listened closely to her answer a couple of the questions that were brought up. He knew there were probably going to be a few concerns from his clanmates, but he didn't see what was all that bad. Sure, there were a few cats nursing injuries still, but they didn't have to participate if they didn't want to. He'd never said this was a mandatory thing for anyone. "And be reminded, only those who are interested will participate. I'm not requiring anyone to do any of this, it is simply a chance to raise our spirits, and grow closer together. Because Thunderclan needs to become more intertwined as a clan, it will make us stronger in the long run." He met gazes with a couple of the cats who had posed concerns, hoping they understood. One, that they didn't have to participate, and two, this really was an aim to help Thunderclan. "Thunderclan is doing better than we'd expected to Firebug, and like I mentioned before, this isn't specifically something to satisfy boredom. That's just one of its perks." He gave a smile to the warrior, before his attention was directed towards Bluegorse as the tom asked another question. Now, here was a question that Flintstar actually appreciated. "Good question Bluegorse." The leader meowed, before turning his attention to the entire clan again. "Duskfeather and I have discussed and reviewed all the current apprentices in Thunderclan, and have come out with a list of apprentices who would be eligible to become warriors, given they do well in the hunting tournament and the hide and fight." He paused for a moment to allow the clan to process this. "I will not be announcing this list though, as I would like all of Thunderclan's apprentices to try their best in this tournament, and I encourage all of them to participate. Those who are eligible will earn their warrior status, and those who aren't will be one step closer to becoming a warrior. So, it will be good for every apprentice to participate." He glanced at Bluegorse once again, hoping he had satisfied the tom's questions. He gave a smile in Dusbreeze's direction, thankful for her excitement about these games. He hoped the clan could feed off of that excitement as well. Then Flintstar glanced across his clanmembers once more. "Are there any further questions? I'm open to answering any concerns you all may have about this. Duskfeather and I both want it to be a fun experience for the clan, so please, voice your thoughts. Questions, concerns, statements, anything."

Well, that wasn't very reassuring despite Flintstar's attempts. Bluegorse was hoping he'd go into some details about what he'd been looking for in the apprentices, their participation around the Clan and how helpful they'd been with supporting the Clan to the best of their ability. Was ThunderClan lacking warriors? Sure, but this felt like a recipe for new warriors that lacked numerous life experiences and skills in favor of bolstering their ranks. It was.. not a good thought when they were allied with a Clan as strong as oak wood. It felt like ThunderClan wouldn't compare.

He hoped they put more thought into the apprentices training than just how long they'd been apprentices. A thorough evaluation of their skills would be ideal.. but he pushed his concerns aside for the moment. This was Flintstar! He knew what he was doing, even if it seemed these games weren't the most tasteful for the entirety of the population. Bluegorse might even attempt to participate in the hunting competition part, if his stomach injury would allow him. It seemed like it was healing fine, even if it was sore..

"Seems fine!" Was he fully convinced? Perhaps not, but he was willing to give it a shot. He was looking forward to watching the kits play, it felt like the camp was a burial grounds sometimes.

Well, for now Bluegorse decided it was time to take an early leave. Someone could fill him in on the remaining details later, but he figured it might be good to get a headstart on hunting for the Clan.. and he wanted to see how his injury would react to more strenuous activity.

Sorrel's words made Flintstar's heart clench. Great Starclan, maybe he hadn't done the right thing. Flinstar wasn't like this, he didn't go and steal other cat's territory. But you're only trying to put your clan's best interests at heart. Flintstar flicked his ears in uncertainty. Is that what Passionstar would've done? Is that what any Thunderclan leader would've done? Flintstar felt like when it came to guidance from previous leaders, he was completely at a loss. "I... I'm sorry about your home. But even in the beginning of this, I have always been open to Thunderclan accepting rogues into their midst, as long as those rogues prove trustworthy." He knew it would probably never be worth her losing her home, but at least he could offer her a place of security within the clan. "You're welcome to become a Thunderclan cat, if you would like." He meowed, ears twitching with his own internal struggle.

Only moments later did Flintstar hear Scarface's cry as he ran into camp, and the leader's attention was immediately directed towards the commotion. Thinking quick, Flintstar turned to one of the patrol members who'd come back with him, who hadn't suffered many wounds. "Jaggedhawk, please show Sorrel a place to sleep for the night, we will get into the logistics of her joining tomorrow." He gave a quick apologetic look towards Sorrel, before he turned and bolted across the clearing. I probably look like an apathetic jerk doing something like that, but Scarface sounds very worried...

Flintstar soon reached where he saw Scarface crying over Honeypaw, and he felt like his throat fell into his stomach. "What happened Scarface?" He asked, his voice steady but feeble. Please, not this, something like this can't happen right now...

"Alright... you guess..." She repeated, eyes widening as she gave him a look that clearly said she didn't believe him. She knew that he probably was doing far less than alright, if her past interactions with him had led her to learn anything about him. Which they had. "I'm sorry but I don't believe that." She then paused for a moment, wanting to push the subject, but also not wanting to make him uncomfortable. "You don't have to tell me what's wrong though. Just know that I know you're not doing alright. Can't fool me that easily." She tried for a light joke with a flick of her tail, giving him a small smile.
As he asked about her though, Foxbound gave a very noncommittal shrug. "I could be doing better, but I also could be doing worse, so I suppose, like you, I'm alright." Now she was teasing him, a small smile creeping onto her maw as she peered at him through squinted orange eyes. But she didn't mind teasing the tom, maybe that would get him into lighter spirits.

He blinked at her, then sighed, shook his head. "Yeah, you're right. I couldn't possibly fool you if I wanted to." Which was one of the things he liked about her. She was attentive, and she was offering him a chance to talk. Which, again, made him uncomfortable. He realized he'd opened up to her before, but it made him feel weird afterward, like he had just dumped his problems on her and left her to deal with him.
But he could trust her, right? After all, she was the only cat he'd ever truly opened up to since his mentor's untimely death. "It's my fault Flintstar lost a life," he murmured. "I was fighting this she-cat, and he was up against this giant silver tom-cat. I was trying not to hurt the she-cat; they'd lived there before we came in, after all, and I thought it best that she get a fair chance to leave. Flintstar saw, and told me that I had to fight, and in doing so he... he dropped his guard. The silver cat bit his throat, and he..." His voice cracked, and he coughed before continuing. "I lost it. It was like something snapped. I totally freaked. She was retreating, but even though to she'd had nothing to do with it, I chased after her." He was shaking, he noticed, and closed his eyes. "I think I would have killed her if I'd caught up with her. I don't know what happened. It scared- it scares me to think about what I may have done." Buckbranch let out a shuddering breath, then looked back over at her, squinting. He couldn't tell if she was joking or not. "But... I'm glad you're doing ok. At least that makes one of us."

The Torbie blinked in surprise at Scarface's outburst, her lips twisting into a frown. She calmly focused on Honeypaw, taking a step towards the apprentice and lowering her ear to her chest. Nothing. No breathing, no movement. She didn't need to be a medicine cat to detect the death of a cat. Duskfeather solemnly raised her head and gave a nod to Scarface. "I am sorry for your loss. It is good that the fox has been taken care of, though with a saddening outcome. ThunderClan will hold grief over the loss of an apprentice." Duskfeather dipped her head toward the warrior politely, her tail twitching.
With Swifthare's reply to her former speaking, she shook her head. "It was reported that you did not partake in the marking of the border. You were there, yes, but you did not participate. Warriors and apprentices are assigned to patrols to work together to complete a duty, not to sit back and let others do the work. I am sorry, but I must take action against such choices. You will remain within camp until you have completed your task, Swifthare." Duskfeather offered a thin smile, her expression having fallen into that of sorrow for the fallen apprentice, though she remained calm and collected as she spoke to the warrior.

Her stormy eyes watched Flintstar as he managed a halfhearted apology that didn't amount to anything because it didn't erase his damage or give any meaningful compensation. Being a part of this...Thunderclan - was it called?- wasn't a reward! It was the only option for her survival if she didn't wish to wander the outskirts and be chased off everytime she tried to go home. "You are not a savior," she said, stoic, and was inwardly repulsed by his idea of making it right. "But I am afraid I have to accept. There is nowhere for us to go." Us? There was no 'us' anymore, though it stung to admit that. Thunderclan had driven most of them away with severe wounds to remember them by.
Their means of address were all so funny, what was the point of having two names? But Jaggedhawk's apology on behalf of the leader was met with a guarded, "Thank you." If his colony had to apologize for him and did so nonchalantly that didn't say alot for his skills as the one in charge. Sorrel watched him begin to pad off before coaxing herself to follow, trying to keep her eyes in a straight line ahead; she didn't want to see the judgmental stares of the others.

"That's... Important." The kit mewed. That sure is interesting... Smokekit thought. "Uh.. Why do you have have those scars if you don't fight?" She curiously asked. Even though she didn't know a lot, she did know only warriors fought.

"Well, even though I heal others, I still fight sometimes. I used to be a warrior before I became medicine cat, you know," she explained. She didn't dare mention she'd gotten her scars for being a traitor to her Clan all those moons ago. This kit didn't need to know that.

At this point, Cranerose was very intrigued by the idea. Friendly bonding in the clan was probably the best thing she'd heard yet! It'd relieved her to hear that you could sign up with an apprentice even if you didnn't have one of your own. If Cranerose could find someone, she'd definetely like that! But, uh, how should she do that?
"Excuse me, this sounds really fun, but how long do we have to sign up, and how long will it last?" Even if she missed it now, she hoped it would happen again.

Padding into ThunderClan's camp with Ferretwatcher, Fawnsqueak wasn't sure where Fallenstorm had gone off to but was glad it hadn't mattered since their ThunderClan intruder was pretty genuine in his mistake. And more importantly, not violent, though it wasn't the impression he would've gotten anyway by waltzing in with his fish-gift to RiverClan.

Ducking into the undergrowth, he was met with the sight of... what he assumed to be a decent chunk of ThunderClan, right there in the clearing. It gave him pause. "Uh.." his eyes flicked from the Highpeak to the cats, then to Ferretwatcher, "hey, I'm.. sort of here to return your warrior? Sorry to interrupt-- he just, wandered into RiverClan camp, so I thought I'd escort him back." Fawnsqueak felt the heat of eyes on him and pawed at the ground, sheepish. He hadn't meant to interrupt a meeting.

Duskfeather's head snapped up as a scent of fish wafted throughout the clearing. She immediately stood from her position beneath the Highpeak and approached the RiverClanner, her eyes narrowed and fur bristled. Were they being raided? Surely not. Nonetheless, she approached with caution, distrust clear in her hazel eyes. It was quickly replaced by surprise when she took notice to the ThunderClan warrior beside them. Without waiting for Flintstar to notice or respond, the deputy spoke.
"Ferretwatcher! What in StarClan's name were you doing?" she exclaimed, "Going to RiverClan camp? They just raided our allied Clan, and you decide to waltz in like it's nothing? This will not be tolerated- you are to remain in camp until further notice. Get to the warrior's den, I will be speaking with you later." As much as she despised the alliance... she'd rather not have the same raid happen to them. Flicking her tail dismissively to Ferretwatcher, she turned to the RiverClanner. Duskfeather allowed her ears to perk, eyeing the RiverClanner with a serious expression. "If Flintstar is finished, this meeting should be ending. It is more important that Ferretwatcher has been escorted safely. Thank you. I will see to it that he is punished accordingly. We had no knowledge of this, truly- I do hope that nothing unnecessary comes from such decisions our warrior has made." She nodded respectfully despite her wariness. The RiverClan cat had safely led Ferretwatcher back, the least she could do was remain polite.

Buckbranch glanced up, eyes flashing in surprise at the sight of a RiverClan warrior and Ferretwatcher walking side-by-side into the camp. He'd been totally engrossed in Flintstar's and Duskfeather's explanation of their idea - and he was all for it, too! - but this was definitely an... interesting turn of events. He glanced over at Duskfeather, not at all surprised by her anger. RiverClan was to be considered dangerous, was it not? After all, they had raided ShadowClan not too long ago. He nodded to the RiverClanner, meowing, "Thanks for bringing him back."

When they had an immediate reception, Fawnsqueak's breath hitched and held in his lungs, the commanding presence of this warrior coaxing him to stand at attention with the inspecting gazes of ThunderClan upon him. Nothing about her posture implied his one-tom raid party was about to be attacked, at least. Finally, he remembered to breathe again when her focus shifted to Ferretwatcher and confirmed that he belonged here, wasn't just some wandering vagabond that claimed to be a part of them. Fawnsqueak sputtered a little when she began talking about the suggested danger of such an act. "We wouldn't, y'know, attack a warrior that came peacefully..." he quietly tried to squeeze in with a self-conscious cough. "I know Icestar says we're 'savages' or whatever, but we really try to be minimally civil."

The extend of the reprimanding had his eyebrows hitched in moderate surprise, wondering if ThunderClan had become a self-policing society somewhere along the line. He didn't recognize this she-cat but could appreciate her regardless, as it was a refreshing breath of air to have somebody in ThunderClan who took charge and took their job--their clanmates' safety--seriously. It was weird but welcome. After his previous encounter with Flintstar, Fawnsqueak had expected to be met with a dismissive leader who waited for him to guide the discussion. "Y-yeah, of course," he managed when he realized it was his turn to talk again, tripping over his words in the face of someone who knew what she was doing. "If that's... uh, what you think is necessary. He wasn't any trouble, or anything-- he brought us a fish he found in the territory." They liked that here, right? The morality thing?

And when he saw a familiar face, he was puzzled (but perhaps not shocked) that Buckbranch didn't seem to offer anything more to the discussion. "It was no problem, seriously," he promised to who he believed to be the deputy. "I'm just sorry about interrupting your..." Fawnsqueak's head tipped toward where Flintstar was addressing the others, ending the sentence with a shrug and little 'yeah..' There was a second of a pause as his thoughts drifted before remembering, "I should probably get going, huh?" A nervous chuckle, and a lame joke. "I'm guessing I'm not invited to share tongues with you guys." With that, he dipped his head in a last thanks before heading for the exit.

The Torbie nodded in response to the warriors' words. It seemed RiverClan wasn't as savage as believed- not that she would ever trust anything Icestar said- though she still held dislike for the needless bloodshed and death of which had occurred. Ferretwatcher had crossed territories and knowingly walked into a rival camp, and such actions would not be let loose. If it was let go once, it would happen again, leading to more consequences in the future.
Her gaze followed the RiverClanner's attention to Buckbranch. He had decided to pipe in, though sharing nothing else. Strange, she thought he'd have done more. Duskfeather shook off the thought as the unfamiliar feline spoke to him, ears perked to listen. When they began to leave, she nodded once more and offered a grateful smile. "I assume you can reach your own territory without the need of an escort. Thank you again, RiverClanners." She flicked her tail and returned to her rightful spot beneath the Highpeak, hoping Flintstar ended the meeting soon.

The leader had taken notice of the sudden Riverclan cat appearing in the clearing, but as Duskfeather made her way over, the leader decided he didn't need to do anything about it. He didn't want to alarm the clan in the middle of a meeting, and as the Riverclanner was near the edge of the camp, Flintstar figured most of the clan would not pay him much attention. Though the leader himself figured he would have to have a talk with Ferretwatcher as well, what was that warrior thinking?
As Duskfeather was speaking with the Riverclanner and no doubt giving Ferretwatcher a piece of her mind, the Thunderclan leader turned to address Cranerose's question. "As there is plenty of daylight left today, we will begin the mossball tournament today, which will likely last most of the afternoon. Tomorrow will be for the fighting game, and the next day, we will do the hunting tournament. We still have regular daily duties, so that is why I am spanning out the games across multiple different days." He paused for a moment, then continued. "As for signing up, there's no need! Just come at my call for the games each day, and I will do a quick head count before starting! Anyone of the respective age groups for the games may participate!" He finished with a bright smile, ears flicking with excitement.
Noticing the Riverclanner had left, quite quickly, Flintstar assumed to being uncomfortable from the look on his face, the leader flicked his tail in dismissal. "Now, that will be all! Go about with your regular duties for today! Kits, I will be over to the nursery momentarily." The leader then leaped down from the highpeak, giving a nod to his warriors. "Meeting is dismissed!"

Duskfeather dipped her head toward the warrior politely, her tail twitching.
The ginger she-cat listened quietly to Buckbranch's re-telling of what happened in the outskirts, her eyes growing more and more worried as he continued. She was worried for him, he seemed to have too much going on. Flintstar lost a life? That was news, and she assumed that the leader wouldn't be mentioning it anytime soon. She knew most leaders didn't really mention when they lost a life, unless they were on their last one, as to not worry their clanmates too much. But Buckbranch had seen it happen. "Oh, Buckbranch..." She sighed, ears flattening against her head. To have something like that happen, to lose control, she'd seen it before. Her uncle often lost himself when fighting, it's like he was a whole different cat, going from kind and gentle to... aggressive and harsh. And she hated seeing anyone lose themselves within a fight, even though it was usually unavoidable in the heat of the moment. After a moment Foxbound leaned forward and pressed her nose into Buckbranch's shoulder, feeling him shaking. She scooted closer, trying to be as comforting as she could without making him uncomfortable. "It doesn't matter how I'm doing Buckbranch, you're clearly going through a very hard time." She paused for a moment, glancing down as she tried to think of what to say. "When we're physically fighting, we often lose ourselves to the heat of the moment. It gets the best of even the most even-tempered, gentle cat. When your life and the lives of those you love are in danger, well... something can snap." She let out a small sigh, trying to give a kinda smile, but it was wavering. "I've seen it happen before. And it will continue to happen to many cats. All we can do is try to remember our basic morals and core values. Remember why you're a warrior, remember why you're a loyal member of a clan that shows mercy and works together to help each other and grow together." Foxbound nudged Buckbranch's shoulder again before stepping away, gesturing with her tail towards the warrior's den. "Come on, you need some rest."

The silver tomcat looked slightly taken aback at the she-cat's response, but he quickly wiped the expression from his face. He knew she was probably not happy about the situation. The tom remembered when he and his mom had to join the clan when he was young to survive. And while he'd grown up in the clan, his mother had had a hard time adjusting.
The tom opened his mouth to say something, ears flattening. "I... I don't know what I can say to make this any better. If I'm being honest, it's devastating to see how our actions affect individuals, I... I just really don't know what to say. Except I'm sorry..." She was sick of the behavior. No Clanmate should threaten to murder another, and yet he had done it twice, both times right in front of her! Duskfeather couldn't stand for such violence any longer. It was intolerable, against the warrior code. If she had anything to do about it, she'd kick that warrior out for good. How could ThunderClan allow such a danger to remain within the Clan? The deputy sighed and stopped outside of the leader's den, suppressing the urge to stomp inside. "Flintstar, we need to talk. It's about one of our warriors," she called, her voice loud enough for only Flintstar to hear- if he was even inside of his den. But while waiting to stand vigil for Honeypaw, he threatened Springpaw. He held his claws to their throat and threatened to kill them if they didn't leave the camp. I warned him once again, but I do not trust him to end such behavior." Her head was held high as she explained the situation, her tail flicking beside her. Duskfeather hoped only that Flintstar would listen to her and take action- she did not wish for any of her Clanmates to be injured by the warrior's violent tendencies. He wasn't being exiled? Duskfeather knew it was logical, but... she couldn't help but worry for ThunderClan's safety. She had already witnessed Scarface threaten two cats, both times holding his claws to their throats. What if he lashed out and they couldn't get there in time? Duskfeather flattened her ears. As much as she respected Flintstar, she wouldn't let his decision go so loosely.
"Flintstar. He held his claws to an apprentice's throat when they tried to comfort him over Honeypaw's death. When I jumped in, he used his kin being dead as an excuse. Whether or not your family is alive does not give you any reason to threaten a Clanmate!" she argued, "Scarface's anger is not to be trusted. What if he lashes out, and we're too late to step in? He's been caught twice, but what if neither of us are there to see it again? I will not stand for such behavior to be allowed in ThunderClan!" Duskfeather raised her head high, claws scraping against the floor of the den as she spoke. Her expression held that of seriousness- she wasn't joking around. She held a genuine concern for the safety of her Clanmates, and she would do anything to fight for them. Wasn't that the way of a warrior?

Mintfrost returned to camp and searched for Duskfeather among the Thunderclan cats in the clearing, tipping his head at her to get her attention. He put his own catch of the bird into the pile and gestured for the rest of his patrol to do the same, then gave the deputy a respectful greeting. "Duskfeather, we've returned from the hunting patrol with decent additions to the pile. Nothing of note to report, however, other than the Shadowclan border being very quiet. No recent markings from anyone."
With the patrol finished and reported, Mintfrost dipped his head to excuse himself and padded to the camp entrance to be on guard duty while he waited for someone who was interested in finding a partner to hunt or patrol with. He wasn't interested in resting when there was always more work to be done.

The leader really didn't want to believe one of his own clanmates would be dangerous. Thunderclan was supposed to be a group of cats who trusted each other, and had each other's backs. Not cats who were threatening to kill their clanmates. He knew Scarface was... difficult, and Flintstar also knew that he didn't trust Scarface as much as he should. But even so, every cat deserved a second chance right? A chance to explain their reasoning for why they did what they did. While Duskfeather's reaction caught him off guard, Flintstar was understandable of her worry. If Scarface was a former rogue, would you be as forgiving? Flintstar's ears flattened at the thought that crossed through his mind. The leader was struggling with what he thought was right and what he thought wasn't right ever since the rogue attack. Where did his morals lie when it came to anything anymore? Flintstar didn't speak for a long moment, thoughts running through his mind as he tried to think about what to say. "So you're pushing for an exile." He confirmed, knowing full well where Duskfeather was going with this. And he could understand that. Scarface was dangerous. But he was as dangerous as any of the rogues that he'd allowed in the clan. They haven't showed anything to mistrust them yet. Actions speak louder than words, actions speak louder than words... That was the one thing his mother had grilled into him ever since he was a kit. Actions speak louder than words. It was the one thing he knew always stayed constant, the one thing he always depended on. "I didn't see these threats happen myself, but I trust your word Duskfeather." He let those words hang in the air. "I am concerned about Scarface as well, even though he's a clanmate, right now he is more dangerous than the rogues we've accepted into our ranks due to his actions." The tom took a deep breath before continuing. "Exiling a cat is not something to be taken lightly, Duskfeather. And while both your morals and my morals may not align, what you're telling me about Scarface states that his actions towards clanmates are what's causing him not to be trusted. And they are so severe that it is not safe to keep him in the clan any longer." Everything he said was a statement, but he watched Duskfeather closely for her response to his deduction. He still was unsure about this all, but what Duskfeather was saying aligned with what he'd always believed about actions and words. And that was what he was playing off of while he was unsure about some of what he believed.

Good StarClan! Bluegorse was running out of ideas when these cats seemed intent on actually killing each other. It'd be one thing if Scarface seemed focused on the defensive, but actively going around efforts to stop a fight? That screamed he wanted this to happen.

In a last ditch effort, he moved again to knock one of them off-- this time trying to pry Scarface off of Darkstorm while Flintstar attempted to unbalance him! If Scarface tumbled, Bluegorse hoped to pull him away to give them a better chance at restraining him. "Dude! Knock it off! Let Flintstar handle this before you make it worse!" It was like everything they were trying to do went in one ear and out the other.

The leader barely had time to step back as Scarface lashed out at him, the tom’s claws narrowly missing his muzzle, possibly slicing off a whisker or two. But Flintstar had seen the close coming and avoided it, though he’d lifted his paw off of Scarface’s tail to step away from him. At least they were no longer fighting. As Flamepelt ran in between them, yowling something about kits, the leader could only shake his head to try and clear it. He didn’t want another cat to get hurt either. “Step away from them Flamepelt.” He ordered. Flintstar then took a moment to gather himself, glancing towards Duskfeather, who looked just about as pissed as he was. Then towards Bluegorse, who seemed to have a few scratches across his pelt. Great. Three injured clanmates, one who wasn't even involved in the main conflict and is still healing from previous injuries. Flintstar’s sharp green gaze returned to the two cats, his tail lashing back and forth. He wasn’t going to hide how angry he was at this.... disturbance and the physical attacking of a clanmate.
If he got anything from the bicker the two tom’s were throwing back and forth, then Flintstar could only assume this fight was about... a she-cat. Someone they both loved as it sounded like. He let out an exasperated, frustrated sigh, before turning to face Darkstorm. “Duskfeather, escort Darkstorm to the medicine den and make sure he stays there until further notice. Feel free to give him a talking to about his behavior.” The black-furred tomcat could understand self-defense, but Darkstorm had attacked Scarface too. But he’d deal with that later. “Bluegorse, are you alright?” He then asked, turning towards the other tom. “You should probably go to the medicine den as well, some of your old wounds could’ve been reopened.” He advised gently, glancing over the tomcat with concern.
Then, Flintstar turned to Scarface, his green eyes hard. “Scarface, this is the end of the line for you.” He meowed, trying to keep his voice level, but it was laced with anger. “Multiple cats tried to get you and Darkstorm to stop fighting, but you two kept going at it, even when cats were forcefully pushing you apart.” The leader stepped closer to Scarface, body straightened up to his full height. “Darkstorm will deal with punishment as well for his actions, but you Scarface, this is something that adds to many other instances of you proving disloyalty to this clan, and physical hurt towards your clanmates.” The leader slowly walked to the left of Scarface, eyes remaining on the tom. “You’ve threatened to murder two of your clanmates, even going as far as to put your claws to their throat. And one of them was an apprentice. Then you even went as far as to physically attack me. I will not tolerate that kind of behavior in my clan.” Flintstar stopped walking, facing Scarface directly, his teeth showing slightly in a snarl. “Which means I have no choice but to exile you from Thunderclan. With his words, however, she scowled, her expression hardening into that of seriousness.
"Darkstorm, explain yourself. What in the hell was that? And Scarface... you could have walked away. We tried to stop the fighting and yet you continued? I knew you were not to be trusted. Your presence puts a risk to ThunderClan's safety, and if I catch you on our territory ever again, I will drive you out." Duskfeather straightened herself up, ears flattened against her head. "ThunderClan is no place for such rogue-like behavior." She bared her teeth at the tom, claws sinking into the ground as she added on to Flintstar's words, speaking her own mind about the situation.

"Hey, no fair!" squeaked Ivykit, trying to throw the other kit off her with her back legs but unable to figure out a way to without potentially harming her. Huffing, she went limp. "Okay, okay, you win," she grumbled.
"Of course." She smiled. Smokekit padded off of the other kit and sat down. "That was fun!" Her eyes sparkled. It had been so long ago she playfought... She used to do it all the time with her mother and brother, who were now both missing... And it didn't seem like they were coming back. She shook her head to drift away the thoughts.

The clearing, in Echopaw's personal experience, had not been a quiet place. It was usually bustling with various cats, most of whom were minding their own business (for once), save the occasional overly-enthusiastic cat who decided it was a good idea to come running over and irritate her. She supposed she couldn't complain; her life wasn't all that hard, and besides, perhaps in the future she would be far less irritated by these strange little cats. With a swish of her tail, the she-cat settled down in a far area of the clearing, her tail now curled around her paws.

In the shade, it was quieter; something about it always seemed to bring peace to those around, because Echopaw had never heard shouting over here. Chances were, they figured it was just respectful, but even Echopaw liked to have her own little theories now and again.

The leader turned to face Bluegorse as he spoke, his eyes growing wide at the revelation of how the fight started. Now there were two Thunderclan cats threatening to kill clanmates? This was all wrong. Flintstar took a deep breath and closed his eyes, trying to think of what to do.
He glanced towards Scarface as the tom stammered an apology, rage barreling up inside him. “You didn’t mean to? Just like you didn’t mean to keep fighting with Darkstorm? And just like you didn’t mean to threaten to kill an apprentice?” The leader lashed his tail, that was such a feeble apology. If Scarface was truly sorry he’d have stopped long ago.
But Darkstorm was also to blame. He’d attacked Scarface first, and Flintstar had seen with his own eyes how each tom continued to go after the other. They’d climbed over both him and Bluegorse to keep fighting for Starclan’s sake. And Bluegorse had gotten hurt in the process, so that was another cat getting hurt.
Okay, his decision was made. “Darkstorm.” He meowed, calling the tomcat back over. “Your actions here have proved to me as well that you are a danger to the clan. And I have decided I will show little mercy to cats who threaten the safety of their clanmates.” Flintstar then turned around, glancing at the two over his shoulder. “Flamepelt will remain here if she wishes, as she has not threatened or tried to hurt any of her clanmates, and is still a loyal cat of Thunderclan.” Flintstar then turned to look at Duskfeather. “Make sure Darkstorm and Scarface make it to the highpeak. I hate gathering the clan for this, but they need to be informed of these exiles happening. Everyone should be aware of the danger.” Then he flicked his tail towards Bluegorse. “No need for you to attend, I want you to go to Tallmarsh and Irispaw and have then make sure you’re okay.” Darkstorm and Scarface could deal with the scratches they’d inflicted upon each other. Once he’d spoken to every cat, Flintstar bounded towards the highpeak, eyes narrowed to slits as his anger churned with this new development. Duskfeather had been right. Exile was the only way to keep the clan safe.

Echopaw - future
Echopaw's tastes tended to run more towards the apprentices' den, for the mere fact that it was quiet; yes, while the other apprentices were loud at times (sometimes to a fault), she could at least get a little comfort out of knowing that it wasn't as unpredictable as the clearing. Echopaw had never seen anything bad happen there, but she was certain that fights could break out at any second, and it was best for her to be on guard. At least in here, it was darker. Curled up in her nest, with her tail wrapped tightly around her body, the she-cat could get some rest before venturing back out. She certainly didn't want to end up in the middle of nowhere.
:Grimm:

Ivypaw - present
For a variety of reasons, Ivypaw rarely spent much time in the apprentices' den. The one she held onto the most was that it was dark, and rarely crowded (as a matter of fact, Ivypaw enjoyed crowds more), and it rarely held that special Clan feel that Ivypaw had thought she would like so much. The first night, it had been pretty cool. Now? It just reminded her of a broken-down place, and that wouldn't do at all. Ivypaw thought the apprentices' den was kind of gross, if you asked her, but at least it was a place to sleep.

Right now, oddly exhausted, but not quite tired enough to sleep, the she-cat was amusing herself by using her claws to pick at a piece of one of the nests, watching it closely as if it might do a trick for her if she were to ask nicely enough. That was, quite possibly, the dumbest thought that she'd ever had—but Ivypaw didn't really seem to mind. She wasn't the type to care too much about that sort of thing, anyway. Ever

[ Open for anyone! ]

Duskpaw padded over to the apprentice's den and stuck her head in. She spoke quietly, not loud enough to wake anyone but, to make sure cats heard. Any cats wanna come with me to watch the kits play in the Mossball Tournament? She padded in, her eyes adjusting to the dark.
Magnoliapaw - present
As she was prone to doing, Magnoliapaw had snuck in here for a little midday nap, and had just woken up when she heard a voice from the entrance to te apprentices' den. She hadn't been planning on going to watch the kits play—after all, she barely cared about it—but on second thought, it did kind of sound like fun. If nothing else, Magnoliapaw could act like she'd done something worthwhile today, which was... probably a good idea, considering she rarely did. She didn't want to get in trouble, after all. "I'll come," The she-cat offered, getting to her paws (and giving a looong stretch before approaching), a friendly grin now on her features. "It's not like I was doing much of anything, anyway."

Flintstar bounded quickly over to the highpeak, anger still churning within him as he leaped his way to the top. He couldn’t believe how ruthless some cats could be, especially towards their own clanmates. He'd never doubted Duskfeather's words, but had never thought of exile as a proper punishment. There were not many exiles within Thunderclan, but Flintstar had made yo his mind now. If a cat threatened the safety of their fellow clanmates, then they would be exiled to get the danger out of the clan. Squabbles and occasional fights were okay, they were a large clan, all with very different morals and standards and personalities. Fights were bound to break out every once in a while. He’d had a verbal fight with Buckbranch not too long ago. But continuously going after one another in a physical fight? Especially with a background of threatening to murder? That did not sit well with the leader.
“Thunderclan! Come gather beneath the highpeak!” Flintstar usually included his entire clan in important meetings, and he knew everyone needed to be notified about this.

Echopaw - present
At present, Echopaw had her tail wrapped around her and was sitting up (still in a further corner of the clearing, but closer to where the other cats were), albeit not in the best mood she'd ever been in. Honestly, she didn't understand how some cats could be so hyper—this wasn't a game! This was a potentially life or death situation, and survival was key here, and still some cats felt the need to treat it as such.

The clearing, perhaps, was not an ideal place for Echopaw to spend her time. She was beginning to realize that through the events that had transpired, and despite her frustration (her clearly understandable frustration), Echopaw wasn't going to run and hide in the apprentices' den for no reason. Unless she felt a genuine need to leave, she would stay out here.
Moon Lily

Ivypaw - past
There was a sense of bravery in Ivypaw's movements, as if she had never been out in the clearing before. She had many times as a kit of course, but this was her first time as an apprentice. There was something different about having a new rank and being out here, that Ivypaw honestly liked—it gave her a sense of control that she was fairly certain she wouldn't have had, otherwise. That sense slowly dissipated once she realized there were other cats with far more authority than her, but at least she had managed to hold onto it for a little while.

Perhaps someday, she would have a higher rank. That was doubtful only for the fact that Ivypaw liked to control her surroundings, but it didn't stop her from dreaming. Besides, her ambition was close to unrivaled; perhaps she could make it eventually. That was still doubtful, but Ivypaw wasn't going to let a little thing like doubt stop her.

Dustbreeze picked a quiet spot near the back of the clearing to curl her tail around herself and listen to Flintstar's announcement.

He tilted his head to the side as his sunshine eyes were glued to Dustbreeze, brow raised. "My morning was quite boring until I spoke to you, darling. Such a pretty she-cat could brighten anyone's day." Toadbounce looked down as he allowed his tail to twitch against her side, taking no notice to her attempts to lean away.

Dustbreeze looked down at the comment. She surely wouldn't have brightened his day, there were much prettier cats who would give him much more attention than her. She found d it hard to keep up with all the gestures, as his tail met her side again her fur shivered.

"You're silly." She replied lightly, looking this way and that but avoiding Toadbounce's eager eyes. He was a much better flirt than her. Duskfeather wasted no time in bounding to the Highpeak, though she kept her eyes glued to Darkstorm and Scarface. Once assured that they had actually managed to get to the crowd without fighting, she spoke up. Her posture straightened and she allowed her voice to take on a tone of authority, not showing any hint of kindness to the two who brought dangers to the Clan. "You two will remain civil throughout the meeting. No needless commotion will arise. Am I understood?" she ordered.

Songthorn blinked in confusion from where he sat by the warrior's den, having been asleep for all of the commotion. He frowned at the anger radiating throughout the clearing, eyes narrowing as he stood and joined the crowd.

Leopardpaw yawned and stretched, having not given two damns about the fight in the clearing. If they wanted to argue and try to kill each other, so be it. Such kittish behavior, in her opinion. The Bengal sluggishly moved to sit within the crowd, perking her ears to listen to Flintstar.

Maplecreek slipped out of the warriors' den, clearly not in any real hurry to see what was going on, but it certainly seemed like something important. But not even that really interested her, though it looked as if it did. Finding a nice spot in the sunlight, the sleek molly sat and wrapped her tail around her paws. Her head was tipped back slightly to look expectantly up at Flintstar. Even if it was something important, she would've preferred to return to her nap. It might've seemed odd had she simply got up and returned to the den, or not shown herself at all, though. Sighing, she glanced around at the other cats gathering in the clearing. They all seemed quite interested by it, some even a bit anxious. And it really didn't take her very long to pick out who this seemed to be about. But she didn't keep her gaze upon them long, quick to look back up at the two cats on the Highpeak.

Leopardpaw had been resting in the clearing, a wide yawn stretching over her lips. She had grown quite bored, wishing she hadn't finished all of her duties so quickly. The Bengal couldn't find anything else to do as she awaited the coming of her final assessment. She could practice for it, yes, but where was the fun when she had nobody to do it with? In her time as an apprentice, Leopardpaw hadn't seemed to find many friends. She was too focused on her work, on her training to socialize. But now that she was almost ready to be a warrior... now what?
Her eyes blinked open to look over the clearing, scanning the lively area. She wasn't afraid to randomly talk to someone. But what would she talk about? Leopardpaw's maw parted in a sigh before she raised herself to her paws, tail flicking from side to side. Across the clearing, she spotted a she-cat doing whatever. Her brow quirked up in interest, taking note that the she-cat was much younger than her. The Bengal stood still for a few more moments before making her way over, plastering a friendly expression on her face. Once reaching the she-cat, who she recognized as Ivypaw, she opened her mouth to speak.
"Hey."

Ivypaw - future
Having spent all the time she needed to in the apprentices' den (which wasn't much, it never was), Ivypaw made her way back out towards the clearing. She much preferred the bustle out here to the quiet, and sometimes downright dreary atmosphere that the apprentices' den provided, and besides, there was so much more to see out here. Her tail and head held high, Ivypaw quickly made her way over towards one area in particular that she liked; it was a somewhat sunny spot of the clearing, and with her dark pelt it was nice to be at least partially shaded, which was what made the spot so good.

Settling down, Ivypaw curled her tail around her paws and was content to watch everyone else going about their business. She wasn't all that observant, for sure, but she did enjoy at least trying to see what everyone else was up to. It was fun for her, like a game; albeit one that she was never going to win.

Pine had dreamed that she had fallen in the Riverclan river while Thunderclan battled against Riverclan. The gathering had really done something to her mind then. She wasn't surprised by it after hearing Pebblepaw's haunted words about the injuries and deaths after the raid on Shadowclan. Now all she could do was worry about it happening to her clan, maybe asking Flintstar Flintstar about it tomorrow would ease her nerves.

"Can't sleep either?" Pinepaw asked the apprentice pawing at her neat before her. It was hard to recognize Ivypaw, her own golden eyes strained in the dark, black disks absorbing all the light the still filler moon had to offer. Echopaw - clan meeting
Hesitant to approach the highpeak, but with the knowledge that she needed to hear whatever Flintstar wanted to tell them, Echopaw claimed a spot close enough that she could hear, but not so close that she was uncomfortably near the highpeak. She shifted her weight, awaiting the news so that she could go and find somewhere a little less crowded to be. Still, this information would help her in the future. At least, she hoped it would.
* * *
Ivypaw - clan meeting
Her very first Clan meeting. Ivypaw was surprised to find herself so excited at the proposition, and with her tail held high (as usual), she approached the highpeak, waiting for whatever information it was that Flintstar was about to share with the Clan. This was exciting stuff, after all - Ivypaw was surprised that not everyone was trying to get as close as they could. Then again, this wasn't everyone's first Clan meeting. She supposed that with age, she would grow less excited. Trying her best to look as mature as possible (a difficult feat when you took into account the fact that she still had some of her kit-fluff), Ivypaw's eager wait continued.
* * *
Magnoliapaw - clan meeting
Clan matters weren't that important to Magnoliapaw. She was still young, she figured that when she was a warrior (or at least had anything else to contribute), she would be able to speak more on it. As for right now, she was pretty bored[I]- Clan meetings weren't her idea of a good time. She would've rather been asleep, or at least resting, or doing something that was more worthwhile. Right now, Magnoliapaw was waiting for some news that probably wouldn't affect her, and that she definitely didn't have any say over. Whatever. She could go back to sleep after this, she supposed.
* * *
Rosepaw - clan meeting
While less enthusiastic, but not to the extent where she was actually complaining about it in her own mind, Rosepaw found another spot to sit and awaited the information like everyone else. This was her first Clan meeting as well - she was excited to see what would happen, but also, crowding around a big rock and waiting for someone to talk didn't seem like her idea of a good time. She would've said she was looking forward to it, but that seemed like a lie, and while Rosepaw was comfortable with lying to [I]others, she wouldn't lie to herself. Still, it might be good to hear what had to be said. At the very least, it was part of the whole Clan experience.

"The hell you will."

Toadbounce turned to see Duskfeather had rose to her paws and was now approaching them, her hazel eyes narrowed and anger blatant on her expression. She bared her teeth at Toadbounce before looking toward her sister, her tail lashing. "Why are you playing his game? Don't encourage his- his vile antics! He's trying to play you, Linnetwing! Such flirtatious and disgusting behavior wilm not be tolerated, especially when it's with my sister! I know the games you play, Toadbounce. I've seen you trying to flirt with Flintstar and every other cat in the Clan. It's- It's horrid!" Ah, there it was. She had fallen right into his trap.

"Aw, it looks like the pretty kitty came to step in. It sounds to me like you're jealous. Do you want Flinty boy all for yourself, gorgeous?" Toadbounce's brow quirked and he watched with amusement as Duskfeather only became more furious. This was more fun than he had imagined!

"I am not jealous! He is my leader and nothing more! You need to back your flirtatious ass off of my sister and go pester someone else, now," she responded, her voice gaining an authoritive tone with the final command. Toadbounce pouted dramatically before rolling his eyes and winking toward Linnetwing. He then stood and walked out of the warrior's den to find another cat to fluster.

Duskfeather returned her gaze to Linnetwing, her expression falling into that of relief when Toadbounce finally left. "Why did you keep that going? You've seen what he's done throughout the Clan. It's creepy and weird!" She sat down, giving an exasperated sigh. Goodness, she was tired of Toadbounce's flirting!

If they need any sort of escort to the clans exit to be sure they leave. I'll gladly volunteer . " he meowed with a lift of his chin. "foxheart" he meowed under his breath . " you believe this ?" he asked lightning

"I like to know both sides of the story," Lightningpelt meowed evenly. "Even though it does seem like he deserves a little punishment. They both do." she finished with a sympathetic look at Flamepelt. She's probably only saying that to protect her mate & kits, Lightninpelt thought sorrowfuly. FlameSta , hxneysuckle , SilentLamb

Duskfeather bared her teeth. "I was there. Scarface held his claws to the apprentice's throat. Do you really think I would want a warrior to be exiled if he wasn't truly a danger? Do not let your pity blind you." She straightened up, looking down her nose at Flamepelt. "If you wish for Scarface to see his kits, then leave with him. ThunderClan is no place for someone who wishes to stand up for a threat," the deputy said, her voice low and authoritive, "You may not listen to what I say, but will you listen to Flintstar? The leader's word is law. Would you really wish to break the Warrior Code in favor for your mate, who poses a risk to our Clan's safety? Don't be foolish, Flamepelt. And you, Lightningpelt. Do not listen to one who is blinded by her emotions, her love for this cat. It is the Clan or it is nothing." She glanced over toward the medicine den, where she saw Bluegorse struggling to get help from the medicine cats. A red tint in the snow made her stomach curl. How could her Clan be so foolish as to pity such a dangerous cat?

Quillpaw entered the scene from his long, deep slumber. It simply amazes him how a moss can be so cushiony and soft to rest on! Now what's going on in camp? Researching, studying and training made him frequently tired in the most recent. But, he's getting use to it now! Jogging in place lifting his paws up high he chanted out, ' 1, 2, 3! 1, 2, 3! Now breath in! Now breath out! Stretch!' extending out his long stiff limbs and rolling back his neck. Everything is back in motion! "How goes it, comrades!" he greeted loudly for all to hear. Hm? Tension in the air pound down on his body triggering a state of alarm in his big yellow eyes. The loud voices and whispers his ears swiveled like a bat, picking up every word they uttered. His yellow eyes bloomed in excitement entwined with a thin strand of ..annoyance. Yes, he felt miffed. This feeling is a bit bizzaro. "Hmph!" he faced the arguing cats. "A savage like that doesn't belong here! The bottom line is that he attempted to murder a cat and that is a heinous crime!" The tall tabby glance back up at his captain, the Flintstar. "This is treason, I say! We should sentence him to death by burning at stake or at least chase him out to the outlands where he truly belongs." Where is he? His eyes flickered at every cat for this Scarface. What a dramatic name, he musn't be a good looker haha! His glare finally settled down on the cat that fits an ideal image based on the warrior name. "BEGONE THEE TYRANT!"

Lightningpelt felt likee she had just opened her eyes. I would never leave my clan!
She shifted and waited for Flintstar, sympathy and embarassment flooding her pelt. Poor Flamepelt...

Ears twitching he caught a familiar voice . Ah! Quillpaw! He couldn't help but feel proud for the cat! "THAT A BOY QUILLPAW! " he cheered . The apprentice was getting the right idea . Atleast he wasn't so quick pity unlike him.... " we show no pity for traiters!" he added. Looking at lightning he couldn't help but try and calm her a bit..with that in mind he wrapped his tail around as she sat . " ..this is for the good of the clan. Flintstar does know what's best " he reassured .

"Of course he does. It's the way of the warrior code. And he wouldn't exile someone without a good reason," Lightningpelt added. She glanced over to the medicine den, and the red tint in the snow. She was still shocked. "But why would any cat do such a thing?" FlameSta hxneysuckle SilentLamb

Petalkit stumbled out of the nursery, hearing Flintstar's call. Why is he so angry? The small kitten sat down right outside the den, looking around to spot Linnetwing padding over to her. She stood up in excitement as the warrior approached her. "Hi Linnetwing.", whispered Petalkit.

Linnetwing padded over to her and sat down behind her. She watched the kit sit down right in front of her. The older molly wrapped her tail protectively around her. She expected this meeting to be intense and she didn't want Petalkit to get hurt.

Linnetwing froze when he spoke of their kits. There was no way that was going to happen. There was only one kit for her and that was the kit she was going to adopt. "I think I'm good on that.", she hissed. That was when Duskfeather got in the middle of this. Linnetwing understood that it was just to irritate her sister, but she didn't need any help on this sorry excuse for a warrior.

She could solve her own problems. "It's not like I'd actually fall for someone like him. I don't need you to protect me when I know what I'm doing!", she snapped. Linnetwing was furious, but it was more towards that tom than it was her sister. He would never be able to make her fall for his stupid game.

Linnetwing saw him walk off, but not until giving her a wink. She gave him a look of disgust. Once he left she gave Duskfeather a look that said ow dare you."I don't know if you noticed, but I'm not some kit that Deputy Dusky needs to protect. I know how to deal with a cat like him.", she hissed. The molly wanted to leave to go check on Petalkit, but she was going to wait here until she said something back to her.

He nodded with a 'hm-hm!' in definite of what the other cat was saying. Shameless to admit his ego grew twice the size once his clanmate joined forces with him. "Hm! You're right." But. The tabby's eyes set on this Flamepelt. What is flaming, the pelt? He may never know but she is carrying the evil cat's kits. If it was him, he'd sent her away as well. No bad seeds in this clan! However, he can tell his leader is a kind tom, so, that won't be happening at all. Quillpaw heard a cat questioning why would a cat do such a treacherous thing. "There's no answer to that my dear. A cat that'd do something like this definitely has a dark purpose."

"Hey."
ivypaw - past
the sound of a voice drew ivypaw out of her current state, and she blinked a little, as if she hadn't been expecting anyone to come over. the clearing was, of course, the ideal spot for socializing—evidently, ivypaw hadn't been expecting anyone to come over anyway. "hey," she mewed back, brow furrowed in minor confusion. what exactly had made leopardpaw come over here? she'd never had an actual conversation with the she-cat, but ivypaw quickly reminded herself that this was a perfectly normal way to make friends—coming up and introducing yourself to strangers. she'd done it before, after all, she just hadn't expected it at the moment.

"it's leopardpaw, right?" she mewed a moment later, head tilted to the side as she examined the older she-cat. someday, ivypaw would be like that. bigger. older. stronger. someday, she was going to be a powerful warrior, but that clearly wasn't today, given her slightly overwhelmed state at being near someone who was clearly better than her. it was a shame—ivypaw would've liked to be a stronger apprentice now, so that she didn't feel quite as strange being near an older one.

this was probably normal. sometimes kits would give her weird glances (admiring, as ivypaw liked to think of them), and she had to just brush them off. this was much like the same thing, she supposed. if leopardpaw was going to make a big deal out of it, though, ivypaw certainly wasn't going to sit by and do nothing.

Pinepaw rolled in her nest, she was feeling rather restless tonight. When she'd first laid down to sleep a nightmare had left her in a light sweat and unable to stir her mind from it.

The silver oriental sat up and stretched in her nest before beginning a wash. She might as well make the most of her energy right now.

"not even if I wanted to," ivypaw grunted, sitting up in her nest and straining her eyes to see whoever had spoken. the voice sounded familiar enough, and ivypaw knew all her clanmates; however, she was still working on the whole voices thing. it was hard enough to recognize someone when there were so many cats who looked alike, and even worse when she had to pick someone out using only their voice. once she could see a little better, she recognized the cat as pinepaw.

"what's keeping you up?" she asked, with a quick flick of her tail. perhaps she could use pinepaw's excuse; ivypaw didn't feel like speaking about everything that went through her mind, and one little thing was better to use, anyway. besides, it would help her to relate to the other she-cat more, and if she wanted something in the future, that could work out nicely. she doubted it, though.

ivypaw wasn't really the type to use other cats like that. so instead, the she-cat awaited an answer, still sitting up in her nest with her tail curled around her paws. she felt a little silly, but she almost always felt silly—like she didn't completely belong here. that was the most mouse-brained thought she'd had in her entire life, but it was also what fueled ivypaw's ambition. that sense of not belonging, combined with the desperation to change it.

Duskpaw hurried over to the meeting. Flintstar seemed very serious about this one. It was probably going to be one of the important meetings saying that Flintstar had summoned everyone. She spotted Mangoliapaw and thought she'd sit next to her. "This seems important." The she said as she glanced at Mangoliapaw.

important? perhaps. she still wanted to be asleep, and the longer she waited, the more impatient she was getting. "I guess," she mewed in response, with a slight shrug. "who knows if it is or not, though?" chances were, it wasn't as important as it was being made out to be, and magnoliapaw would regret not getting those extra few minutes of her nap.

either that, or it was incredibly important, and something that would change the future of the clans. or just thunderclan, magnoliapaw wasn't that picky.

"were you busy too?" she asked, glancing at the she-cat. okay, so technically magnoliapaw hadn't been busy, but she still would've liked to rest. it was important!

The young oriental sat in the dark, watched the other cat and felt a little bad to hear her response. She supposed she should be grateful to get at least a little sleep. She let her gaze sweet through the den as silence held it again. Pine was really certain how to respond, she wasn't sure her worried should be for others yet. She wanted to talk to Flintstar about it first and let him reassure her. He would have the answer. He was very smart and experienced compared to her.

"Just a bad dream, nothing really to worry about." The reply was weak, but not really a lie either. The silver tabby shone like a ghost under the weak moonlight that streamed through the den celinging. She longed to be a warrior and get outside. It would be nice to go hunting at nighg and clear her mind right now. Yet she still was waiting. Hopefully she would be named a warrior soon, she felt fierce and trained enough lately. Plus that would leave her feeling less worried, being able to patrol and protect her clan actively.

Pinepaw sighed and laid back down, resting her head on her paws, perched on the edge of her nest. "I wonder how long until I am named a warrior. I can't wait, but i feel like theres still some rules i haven't learned. It's hard sometimes not having been born in the clan." Her voice was a polite whisper to Ivypaw, not wanting to wake up the other apprentices.

The Tortoiseshell tom swiveled his head from where he was seated in the clearing, a bored expression plastered on his face as he looked to see what all the commotion was about. Did he count in this meeting? He could catch his own prey. After doting on the thought for a moment he finally turned his whole body, now facing the giant rock that they probably have a name for.

GECKOPAW and MOSSPAW
--------------
The pair once again were seated next to each other, one a tad bit more nervous than the other. Mosspaw noticed just how angry Flintstar was. What happened? Was it about the commotion that was in the clearing? Or something else unrelated?

Geckopaw, on the other hand, was a little more out of it, a blank expression replaced his usual bright and cheery one. Honeybrume not being here anymore still startled him a little bit. But with a few more moments of brooding the Bengal mix violently shook his head, startling his brother next to him, and let out a huff. Whatever will be will be, right?

Scarface looked at Flamepelt the words she said.. Hurt him 0"Flamepelt i'm sorry i-i didn't mean to hurt you" he whimpered. Now what she had just said hurt him more than anything he sighed as he turned to face Flintstar. The tom felt her swipe at him he turned his head to watch her leave.

Flamepelt stared at him does he think sorry will change the fact he's being exiled and will never see his kits? Flamepelt's muscles tensed "Sorry?" she laughed "Sorry won't cut it Scarface think about it you will never see your kits! And you think sorry will cut it!" she growled stepping closer and closer "Were done!" she yowled as she swiped at him claws sheathed. The flame pelted she-cat then turned and stalked away.
