A grunt is certainly an....interesting way to say 'you're welcome', Silvercloud thought, though she showed no sign of her judgement. Silvercloud watched as a smug smirk formed upon Cormorantstone's muzzle. Here we have an aggressive cat smirking, surprise surprise, the tabby she cat thought. Silvercloud had always thought of aggressive and strong cats to be smug and proud. This was simply the way she viewed them. It was a bit like stereotypes I guess you could say. Except buff cats, compared to not so buff cats. As Silvercloud pulled herself out of her thoughts, she realised she looked slightly strange with her 'staring contest'. She looked away, though she didn't avoid the dark brown tabby's gaze quickly, as that would simply be awkward. Silvercloud lifted a paw, licking it and then dragging it over her right ear. Quickly checking over herself to see if any other bits of her fur was ruffled up. She could feel the piercing beam of yellow coming from the other she cat. A beam that would burn holes into Silvercloud if it were a laser. Silvercloud finally looked back up and once again, regained her 'staring competition' position. Her eyes this time, almost seemed to have a....stern look in them. Like a strict mentor staring down in disapproval at their newly made apprentice.
"I don't take much joy in sparring", Silvercloud finally said, her voice like always, monotone like. "Neither do I do it much", Silvercloud continued. "If one were to ask me to spar with them I wouldn't refuse", Silvercloud said. "But neither would I have a skip in my paws if I did agree", the tabby she cat stated, her voice almost sounding as if it was warning Cormorantstone. It was true that Silvercloud didn't spar much, nor take joy when doing it but she wouldn't be one to refuse a request. She preferred peace and non-violent situations. It was like her personality. Peaceful and calm. But if it came to her personality becoming the whole world....it would certainly be a boring world.
What's going through this stony she-cat's head? She's not as talkative as some of the cat's I've come across, so if she's not talking.. Then she's judging. She seems like the type of cat to silently judge others, that's what silent cat's like hers do, the silent type that observes and judges. Hmph. A flicker of anger bolted through her eyes as she thought about the other cat silently judging her before she forced herself to take a breath and look away. She had no proof that this warrior was judging her, so no reason to get mad right? Oh no, there is a reason to get mad, but I won't outright question her about it, not right now.
Settling on this thought, she looked back at Silvercloud, forcing her anger back down so that the conversation could continue. Turning over one of her paws, she began to clean one of the pads, picking out scraps of mouse fur and any other remnants of her meal, gaze still focused on the other warrior, thinking about what she should bring up next before settling on asking if the other liked to spar. Yes, she would love to spar right about now, but in a way, she had a feeling that this she cat wouldn't like to spar, another bolt of anger shooting through her as she waited for the answer.
And her thoughts were pretty much right, her yellow gaze hardening as she heard the she-cat's answer before a sneer crossed her muzzle, holding her tongue until after Silvercloud finished speaking before making the snarky remark,
"What, do you think you're too good for sparing? Don't want to get that nice pelt of your dirty and fluffed up?"
Of course this cat didn't enjoy sparing, she enjoyed sitting back and judging cat's didn't she? Cleaning her nice fluffy pelt and staying out of the thick of things, biding her time hunting puny little mice and squirrels. Sure hunting was great, you got to kill something, but she figured this cat didn't like sparing because she saw herself above that.
"Too scared to get yourself hurt?" Cormorantstone snorted out, shaking her head. "Doesn't surprise me."

Bellykit watched the other kits and queens. The tom had stayed silent when the fire burned the clan's camp. He barely talk to the other cats or Stormkit ,who dragged him and the others from the burning den. Bellykit scratched at the ground thinking about the previous leader and deputy.'Everything is changing. And I'm just here moping about the fire.',Bellykit shook himself,'No! I-I shouldn't be weak! I should fight for my clan!' The black ginger tom kit jumped up and rushed out the nursery.

Emerging from the warriors den and blinking the last traces of sleep from the depths of his amber eyes, Sunchaser stretched his jaws in a tiresome yawn. He gave a shake of his fur, allowing any dust particles that had accumulated to simply flake off. Above him, the faint smell of crisp leaves still seemed to surround him and the younger warrior frowned. The memory of the fire still haunted his memory and dragged at his paws like dried mud. He could acutely recall the yowls of desperation that had filled the camp as every cat scrambled in dismay. He remembered frantically searching for Wingdrop and Amberwish, two of his closest friends in ThunderClan, and being relieved when he had managed to find both. Now, things seemed semi-peaceful, although there was a lot of rebuilding to do still. He wondered where Ratnight was, although even thinking of the new leader sent shivers down the toms spine.

Sunchaser padded forward to the barely-there fresh-kill pile and let out a sigh. "Time for a hunting patrol soon," he murmured, feeling his heart ache at the poor sight at his paws. Just a shriveled up shrew and the remains of a blackbird. With leaf-bare already in full swing, the young tom knew that before long prey would become scarce, and every warrior in ThunderClan would be called upon to upkeep the daily hunting duties. He moved away from the prey pile and sat down a few tail lengths away, beginning to lap at his slightly ruffled orange fur in an attempt to wash it - and away all the thoughts that were swirling in his mind.

Fennelstrike glanced at him exasperatedly. "Honestly Rat, no offense, but we cant's just jump right in. You've gotta test out the prey first, metaphor by the way, and see if it's just right. "Look, I want both of us to have a little one-on-one time with each of your potential followers. Just a suggestion, Ratnight." The ashy cat dipped her head modestly to him, adding the last sentence hastily. She was getting carried away. Fennelstrike had literally a thousand thoughts switling through her mind. Battle strategies, more recruiting techniques, anything. She gave him a sheepish smile. "Sorry."

Nightbreeze watched the two share a brief interaction and she noticed how hungry Avorton must have been the way he ran to the fresh kill pile. "Say, Avorton, we need to choose you a Clan name, since you'll be staying with us. Honeypaw would you like to help?" she asked answering the apprentice's call for help. As a mother she noticed small details like that. She had a keenness for picking up small things, minute details that normally had no cause for being there.

"Of course!", Honeypaw exclaimed in an excited tone. Gratefulness flooded into her eyes as she looked at her mother. Then, the edges of her lips dipped into a small frown as she thought of a good name. The name had to be something that was unique. Of course, every name was unique in its own way but perhaps a name that wasn't so common. This was harder then she thought. She had never had the chance to name someone and it was harder then she expected. It obviously had to be a name that they liked. She looked up to Nightbreeze to see if she looked like she had any ideas.

She also saw the sneer that crossed Cormorantstone's muzzle after that. The tabby she cat listened carefully to her words. She couldn't help but feel insulted by those words. Well, uh duh, who wouldn't feel insulted? But as she heard the words repeating in her mind, she also couldn't help but feel rather amused. No smile ever crossed her face during her moment of amusement. "I see you aren't taking a liking to me", Silvercloud said, it was almost like a sneer as well. But then again, Silvercloud didn't do sneering, so it wasn't quite a sneer. A flash of amusement did accidently escape and show in her eyes. Though it immediately vanished. Silvercloud had already thought of what she was going to say next. The tabby was always prepared to talk back. Despite her calm nature. "So is that how you view me now little one?", She emphasised on the words 'little one'. It wasn't a set of words she used often but when it came to bouncing back from an insult, it normally 'accidently' slipped out. Her opponents normally had this angered look on their faces and it simply amused Silvercloud. Then, after that she decided to test things and said, "Maybe you should get your eyesight tested", linking back to her sentence before. The words didn't come out as a an angry comeback, more or less like those evil ladies you see in the movies, telling their victims something they didn't want to hear before laughing evilly. Except Silvercloud didn't really laugh. Silvercloud knew she had probably angered the dark brown tabby even more by now, but to be honest this amused her even more. But like always, her expression didn't change. Most cats viewed Silvercloud as a kind cat, because of her calmness, even if they couldn't really tell but that was normally their impressions of her. And it is true that Silvercloud is kind, but when it came to comebacks, Silvercloud could become 'evil' without realising it. It wasn't the kind of evil that the EE leaders owned, or the type of evil that Tigerstar owned, it was this dark aura that surrounded them. That feeling that sends a shiver up you spine. It didn't make you want to run away, you just felt....colder. Silvercloud honestly didn't care much for many things, and when cats made a mistake, she just watched silently. But, when it came to comebacks and insults, nothing can stop her from getting to her entertainment and amusement.

That's the thing with Cormorantstone, one thing she finds that she doesn't like and she immediately dislikes you, and that's what just happened with Silvercloud. This is why Cormorantstone doesn't exactly have friends. And once she's begun to dislike you, there was a rare chance that she would ever learn to tolerate you again, much less befriend you.
In a way, what this dark tabby was doing now, was attempting to rile up this other female, she wanted to get her angry, upset, insulted, she wanted a reason to take her down and when she insulted cat's, they insulted back, that's what she was looking for. She wanted to see what this she-cat was made of, if she was just another pretty face not worth a lick in battle. And she also, was giving her a way to get herself angry, Cormorantstone, unlike most cats, absolutely loved to be angry, it got her adrenaline going so that she could do her best when fighting. She was planning to fight this she-cat.
Hearing Silvercloud's response, the dark grey tabby snorted out, her yellow eyes blazing with a hot fire that would only grow hotter, though not quite reaching their boiling point. She could only get so angry with clanmates, she was still a very loyal Thunderclan warrior, the only time they would truly reach their boiling point was when it involved any of the other clan's, she absolutely hated them, hated them with a passion. Thunderclan was the only important clan in the forest, she would be glad if the other three mysteriously vanished or died, she'd kill them all herself if she was given the order, wouldn't ask twice. But I digress.
"Little one?" Seethed the bulky she-cat, immediately rising to her paws to tower over the she-cat, her lips pulled back in a snarl and her claws unsheathed. "You might want to watch your wagging tongue, princess or I might just have to stop it for you." Cormorantstone hissed out, muscles tensing, already ready to spring at this other cat and a dash of excitement mingled with that look of anger momentarily before anger took over fully.
"I think you might be talking to a puddle because you're the one who is sorely mistaken." She hissed in regard to the she-cat saying that she had bad eyesight, hinting at the fact that she called her little even though the grey tabby was nearly the complete opposite of little.
"You sure do talk a lot for a cat who doesn't like to fight!"

SageFrost trotted happily to the center of the camp, a bright smile plastered on her face. She had been growing a belly, and she'd frequently experience weird feelings in there. Upset and confused, she searched for help, and the result - she was expecting! She curled her tail at her side, covering her swollen belly. Her vibrant blue eyes searched the clearing for her mate, WrenClaw, whom would soon learn the news of his kits - of their kits. Recently, her mate has been slightly distant, but she figured it was only because of the new, harsher leadership. Surely the news of their kits would change his status!

She remembered when their love was fresh. They were practically attached at the hip during apprenticeship and early warrior moons. SageFrost loved remembering the day they made their promise that they'd be mates as soon as they became warriors. She believed their early love was adorable, and she always dreamed of going back to those days.

However, now that she was expecting, she couldn't dream of abandoning them simply to return to the past. SageFrost would love these kits with all her heart, and she didn't doubt WrenClaw would feel the same way as she.

The handsome feline padded through the camp entrance, a few mice hung by their tails in his jaws. There was an odd gleam in his blue hues as he set them down on top of the pile. He personally enjoyed hunting, perhaps a little too much, but that was for only him to know. Despite the change in leadership, the tom-cat wasn't phased other than perhaps content with the new leader. There was finally a cat who openly expressed something that Wrenclaw hid daily. A more savage view on things.
Breaking his gaze and thoughts away, he turned slightly and noticed Sagefrost in the clearing. She looked as though she were waiting for something. Pricking his grey ears, he took a few paces towards her, studying the way she was sitting and the overall joy she was expressing. What was this about? Was she waiting for him in particular? He gave himself a little mental encouragement before he added a pep to his step and began to walk a little quicker. He too thought back to when he thought he loved the feline he was staring at. What had changed within those moons was unknown, but there wasn't the same feelings or connection he once thought they wouldn't lose. Maybe it was time to tell her how he felt. Or maybe not...

Zero to Hero

- Time Skip -

The dark apprentice returned after his rushed trip to Windclan. He was glad to see that there were no patients to be waited on,meaning that Zerosight was open and they could converse. "Zerosight!" He called out as he entered the den. It was cleared that he seemed worried, though he was trying to act calm so that the cats in the clearing wouldn't question him about what was wrong. but now that he was in the confines of the medicine cat den, he was letting his agonize show.

"Zerosight!" He repeated, not even letting his mentor responds the first time. He hated that fact that Windclan was under new management - and not just that, but the fact that their clan seemed to be a mess after Singenight took rule. He's even worse than Ratnight! Northpaw couldn't understand what was going on, all these new leaders with the strange names. He knew something was wrong, but couldn't understand why Starclan was so silent about all of this. What if Twite was right? That Starclan has actually abandoned us and that's why the new leaders aren't taking the tradition leader name....

The thought still filled him with dread.

Wolfheart was sitting at the edge of the clearing. When she saw wrenclaw she smiled. "Hey wrenclaw "she said, padding over to him. She looked at him with her beautiful crystal blue eyes. "Do you want to go hunting?"she asked, wrapping her tail around his.

A wide grin grew on SageFrost's face when she spotted WrenClaw approaching her. She was much too excited to stay sitting and wait for him to reach her, so she jumped to her paws and dashed to him. She skidded to a halt before him, close enough where she could rub her muzzle against his in a loving manner. A loud purr rumbled in her throat. She was so excited she wouldn't even notice a change in his attitude if there were one. ``Guess what?`` She giggled, pulling away. Her blue eyes flashed with a kit-like excitement, and her paws itched to bounce around. SageFrost didn't even give WrenClaw time to respond as she spoke quickly, ``We'reexpectingkits!`` The words that made their way past her lips were practically nonsense, and she was quick to realize this as she repeated her words.

``We're expecting kits!`` SageFrost cheered, not waiting to see his reaction. Instead, she launched herself forward and rubbed against his side. Love radiated off her in waves, and she hoped he would be able to sense it.

Her thick fur was fluffed up for warmth. Her pelt acted as a shield, attempting to keep a majority of the chill from freezing her skin. Her gray tail was moving wildly in excitement. The news was so fresh. Honestly, she was hoping their kits would improve their dying relationship. SageFrost truly loved WrenClaw, but his affection wasn't as strong as it used to be. She figured it was only because things in their relationship have begun to die out - it wasn't as exciting as it used to be, basically. She silently begged her kits to save their relationship.

Stormpaw looked back down at the ground, the she cat averting her blue hues from Hiddenpaw. Was he just being polite, staying here and conversing with her? She wasn't quite sure, and she didn't want to be taking his time, especially if he had other cats he would rather be talking to. "Hm. Well thank you- I suppose that is true, and it's definitely a nice thought." She mewed, her expression remaining fairly calm as she did so, and she allowed her gaze to stray back to him. Hm. He's friendly enough. You're all good, Stormpaw. So ask questions. Before she was quite sure what was happening, she found her thoughts turning to another topic. "I appreciate your talking to me, but if there's something you would rather do, please don't let me keep you from doing it," She mewed, and then her hues sprang open in alarm as she realized she had just voiced her thoughts aloud. She hadn't meant to. That was the exact opposite of what she had meant to say. Her tail began to twitch nervously and she looked away from him, suddenly feeling sick. She felt much more nervous and worried than she originally had, and she realized that that was probably the wrong thing to say. Real good going, Stormpaw. It's probably things like that that keep you from having friends. She thought, her tail twitching back and forth in an irritated manner.

"Hmph. Well I'm amazing at sneaking up on other cats, so I'll definitely be able to do it." Dragonkit bragged, puffing his ebony chest out proudly, his sapphire hues sparking with mischief. Naturally this was an exaggeration of his own, although he thought stretching the truth a little couldn't be that bad. Since when did a lot- if any- harm come from stretching the truth? Although it had definitely been stretched to the breaking point, Dragonkit's young mind wondered if perhaps someday the words would be true. "Oh really? Well did you know that I have special powers to- uh- catch leaves?" Dragonkit asked, wondering whether the she cat would buy it or not. While he awaited her reply, he began thinking of how he would prove his 'special powers.' He wondered whether Echokit had thought anything of it- or at least, anything much. She probably thought that had been pretty weird, and looking back on his comment, he realized that it had sounded awkward. Hearing her sharp remark he flinched backwards before his hues hardened and he stiffened, every part of him tense and his whole body seeming to almost quiver with anxiety and anticipation. "Ratnight is our leader now, whether it seems fair or not. I would prefer to be an ally rather than an enemy of his. Perhaps it isn't right, what he's doing. But I believe speaking respectfully of him might help to keep me out of trouble." Dragonkit spoke in a fairly authoritative voice. Losing his temper wasn't going to help him here. All thoughts of excitement and pleasure were gone, replaced by a total blank stare that made him feel half dead. "I apologize if you don't see things the same way as I do, or if I've caused you any discomfort," He added. Looking at him now, it was almost impossible to believe that this was the same kit from just a moment ago. It was as though he had slipped into his first state of a polite, cold kit. Was this really the same tom who had just been laughing and bragging a minute earlier?

Hawkfeather spotted Wrenclaw, and her expression instantly seemed to brighten. She got to her paws, her tail tip twitching as she began to head over towards him rapidly, slipping neatly through the other cats. Her pelt was neatly groomed, and she appeared very well taken care of, although her excitement betrayed her innocence. "Hello there! I'm Hawkfeather- sorry, I know it's weird I just came here and introduced myself, but I was just looking for someone interesting and you look interesting, so I decided to come over and introduce myself." Hawkfeather mewed, her tail twitching back and forth and her blue hues sparkling with excitement. It was obvious that the young warrior was kit like, and a perfect target for anyone. Would Wrenclaw care to speak to her, or was he going to leave her like so many others did, considering that she was way too overexcited? The young she cat waited for Wrenclaw's reply, her expression still excited. She still looked way too excited, and she tried to calm herself and make herself look a little calmer.

The cream and white apprentice merely let out a purr of amusement towards Stormpaw's words. That was new one. No cat had really ever said such a thing to him, but he didn't over think it at all. "I have no place to be and nothing to do as long as this paw is aching," he replied simply. His amber hues were lighting back up as he noted the she-cat's nervous tail twitching. She seemed to doubt herself a lot, although perhaps over time he could change that for her. It was the least he could do for the feline that basically saved his life in the fire. He wouldn't simply let her live that down without some kind of repayment. Now it was his turn to say something. Thinking quickly on his paws, he glanced around the clearing and then back towards the apprentice. He rarely broke eye contact when having a conversation. He hated to be rude towards any cat, except when he thought they deserved it. "So what are you doing sitting here all alone? Surely you have friends that would want to go hunting with you. I'm sure that sounds more exciting than talking to a cat who can hardly walk right now," he huffed. There was a teasing tone in his voice and his eyes were alight with mischief, although that was the normal Hiddenpaw. He loved teasing and messing around.

"Prove it!" she exclaimed, immediately crouching down to prepare herself for whatever may happen, although his next few words caught her by surprise. Letting the words sink in, Echokit snorted with amusement. "I can catch leaves too, you know! What kind of power would that be or how would you use it!?" she asked without a hesitation. It almost seemed ridiculous, but she couldn't help but question the younger tom. Maybe he really did? Her imagination wandered a little at the possibilities. She sat back up realizing that the kit wasn't gonna pounce her. The brown and white tabby noticed the stiffness in his posture and pinned her ears back a little in defense. Had she said something wrong? Sometimes she wasn't always aware of it as she had a sharp tongue that she didn't always control consciously. As Dragonkit spoke, her ears pinned back more at the differences in how they view their leader. Her little tail whipped a little before she settled it and waited for him to stop talking. Now Echokit was staring a cat she didn't know. Someone more mean than she had seen before. She ignored his apology. She didn't care for it as she knew he'd never change his thoughts. "Someone will revolt against a savage leader like he and when that day comes, I'll welcome any leader who takes over," she half-growled. This made it clear she didn't like the leader. Not in the least bit. This time she was well aware of the things she was saying and didn't care if this got her into trouble. "I'd rather be exiled for saying such things or when I get in trouble rather than live under a rule such as this," her eyes narrowed, but she looked away from Dragonkit, staring somewhere into the clearing now. Nothing in particular, just staring.

Wrenclaw looked towards the new feline, her head tipped a little, almost innocently. Without much hesitation, he settled himself down and watched the newcomer, listening to what she said. "You're rather interesting yourself, coming here and saying such things. Not everyday this happens," he replied looking at the cheery warrior with an odd expression. She was the first cat he'd met that was as happy as ever even with everything going on. Did nothing phase her? No matter. Wrenclaw assumed the interesting part came from his strange pelt. A Siamese, tabby mixture that didn't quite look like anything any other cat appeared. Although one things for sure, the warrior was certainly prone to start conversations. Most times it was with she-cats as -- as he found out -- his pelt was rather appealing. It didn't help at all for forest hunting, but he didn't mind it. It made flirting easier with any cat of his choosing. Perhaps Hawkfeather would be one of those he chooses. "I'm Wrenclaw," he finally spoke after taking in the she-cat and her personality. She was easy to talk to, something different and it spiced up his normal daily routines.

Ashenkit's blue hues widened, although he was too tired to try and spring out of the way, and he allowed himself to be pinned by Honeykit. He could feel his sides heaving with exhaustion, although why he was so tired after just one game, he wasn't quite sure. Granted; it had been more like two, considering he had used trickery the first time, which he could still feel a sting of guilt about. Still, even with that, she's going to win, He thought with a small, bright smile. He got the feeling that Honeykit would make quite a warrior someday, especially with her determination. That, plus her skill and being on the small side but having quite a bit of strength, and the training that she would receive, would make her an almost unbeatable warrior. Ashenkit looked up at Honeykit with his blue hues, waiting for her to either ask him if he surrendered or something else, although she wasn't quite sure what else it would be. Oh well, I surrender, he thought, although he said nothing aloud yet, waiting for Honeykit to speak.
She felt his soft gray fur under her pads as the she-kit pinned him to the ground. She found it was much easier to get him to the ground since when they had first play battled. Back then she was much weaker and well, a lot more clumsier. Honeykit's determination got her to the goal this time, she just pondered how much further it could go. Her blue hues blinked as she looked down at Ashenkit and realized how exhausted he was. With a wide grin she decided to ask the winning words. "Honeystar has beaten thee!" In a triumphant mew she asked, "Do you surrender?" Playfulness radiated off the ginger kits small body as her tail flicked eagerly for his response.

Silvercloud could feel excitement bubbling up inside her. She enjoyed arguing, if arguments ever turned into a physical fight, she couldn't exactly say she liked it but she wouldn't back down from a challenge. A flame sparked in Silvercloud's eyes. This side of Silvercloud was only shown when she was in a situation like this. A almost 'malevolent' kind of smile formed on her face. You heard me, Silvercloud smiled. Of course, the tabby had no wish to hurt Cormorantstone....physically anyway. Silvercloud looked up as the dark brown tabby rose to tower over her. It had no effect on Silvercloud though. She must admit that Cormorantstone was certainly bigger then her but she didn't really care. The fellow warrior might be bigger in looks but Silvercloud had a big brain full of comebacks and insults. "Princess? Why thank you deary. I know, I really do look as beautiful as a princess", Silvercloud said with fake sweetness. She stood up as well, deciding it wasn't fit for her to be sitting while Cormorantstone stood and towered above. When Silvercloud stood, she was still shorter and looked more fragile next to the bulky tabby but looks can be deceiving. For all anyone knew, Silvercloud could be as strong as Cormorantstone, although this obviously was false. The flame in Silvercloud's eyes danced around as the tabby's amber gaze met the yellow gaze of the other she cat defiantly. I may not be the best at beating others in a physical fight, but I always win in a verbal one, Silvercloud thought. Her gaze was quite calm despite the flame in it and her breathing was even, like she was sleeping. She wasn't intimidated by Cormorantstone. Plus, taking glances at Cormorantstone every now and again she had learned the warrior was very loyal and probably wouldn't attack a clanmate. Unless they provoked her enough. Knowing what she was going to say next, Silvercloud parted her jaws. "And I know, you do look quite like a muddy puddle", Silvercloud said. "Oops", she suddenly continued. "I forgot you were too dumb to know what that means. 'Muddy Puddle', is another word for 'ugly'. Which in this case. You're a muddy puddle", Silvercloud said, putting on a fake sweet smile that had fake apology mixed into it. She was certainly enjoying this. She was enjoying this a lot, to be exact. She could this all day. As Silvercloud watched Cormorantstone's expression, she started to notice the brown tabby looked almost as if she was....enjoying this too? But how could she find this argument entertaining. She also noticed how angry she looked, with slight excitement mixed in. Maybe she was enjoying being angered? Well this just made Silvercloud happier. This would mean she could make the tabby super angry and they would both be happy either way. Isn't that just lovely. Silvercloud had never come across someone like the dark brown tabby she cat in front of her. And that was a good thing and a bad thing at the same time. It meant, insults and comebacks would be more interesting, yet they were creating an enemy bond at the same time.

Weaselpaw snarled at the small beetle on the ground. "I'll get you. You little piece of foxdung get out of my way." he hissed at the insect and looked around to make sure no one had heard him hissing at the beetle , that would be embarrassing. Weaselpaw cared what people thought of him. With a swipe of his small creamy brown paw , he sliced the beetle and watched its blood drip on the ground , imagining he was in battle and he had just killed a warrior from another Clan. He felt triumphant for a minute , then he felt bored again. Twitching his whiskers , he parted his jaws for prey scent. Nothing. Seeing a bunch of apprentices younger than him , Weaselpaw decided to go show them some of his great fighting moves. The tom , in fact , loved to show-off which wasn't popular among peers.

The tom finally spoke after Northpaw asked for him a second time, getting up and moving away from the shadows where their nests were always tucked.

"How'd it go?" He asked, touching his nose to Northpaw's shoulder in greeting. He could tell the younger tom was worried, but was trying to stay calm in response. The medicine cat stood and waited for the bad news, knowing from years of experience that his instincts were usually right when it came to bad things happening.

I decided not to tell you, because I didn't want you to worry,`` She winced at her words that basically admitted she's been lying to him. Immediately, she frowned and folded her ears back in regret. ``I'm sorry,`` She murmured, removing her gaze from his as she looked at the ground.

She shuffled her paws for a few heartbeats before jumping back to her perky self. ``Right! Anyhoo, I decided to visit a professional on illnesses, but I wasn't sick! I was expecting! I found out just now, actually, and right away, I searched for you!`` At the word `you`, she launched herself forward, pressing her nose to his. SageFrost blinked sweetly at him, her thick tail lashing with the anticipation of becoming a parent. It hit her - they'd be parents. ``Oh my StarClan, WrenClaw! We're going to be parents!``

She laughed cheerfully, rubbing her head against his chest and beneath his chin before pulling away. ``I love you,`` SageFrost purred. The affection in her eyes were strong and visible, and she was tempted to step forward and shower him in love. She could already picture their future - She'd be lying on her nest in the Nursery with kits curled at her belly. WrenClaw would be sitting behind her, his head lowered so their faces were close. They'd watch over their sleeping kits, commenting on their appearances and their futures. The toms would be handsome like their father, and the she-cats would have the beauty of herself. They'd all grow up to be powerful and respectful warriors, while WrenClaw and SageFrost watched their development side-by-side. What a future...

"Yes. I surrender." Ashenkit mewed in his most serious tone, before playfulness entered his blue hues once more. "Now let me up! You're gonna squish me, I'm much too delicate!" He joked, struggling beneath Honeykit's soft paws. This was one of the best times Ashenkit had had in his young life. Thank goodness for Honeykit; the young tom didn't have many friends, and Honeykit was the only one he had seen in a long, long time. At least she turned boring afternoons into interesting ones. That was just one of the many good things about Honeykit. Ashenkit waited to be released from under Honeykit's paws, and he realized that she was much stronger then she had originally been when they had first played. Besides that, she had had much more determination in her own blue hues this time, and Ashenkit realized that she was definitely going to be a dangerous warrior someday.

Zero to Hero

The apprentice would've been proud have his mentor, having actually listened to him and had rested. But there was other things on his mind. Troubling things. He closed his autumn eyes for a moment and let his mentor greet him with a touch to the shoulder. The dark tabby tried his best to calm himself down. He'd start with the good news then ease into the bad. But his heart was still racing and he felt anxious to point of almost sickness.

"I found out some things," he began, his voice shaky as he placed the herbs that Surgestorm was able to spare Thunderclan. "First, Windclan is doing better than Thunderclan. Not all of their territory was burned, and Surgestorm was able to salvage most of his herbs and he was able to give us some as well. Though they did loose a few people to the flames," Northpaw watched Zerosight for a moment, letting this sink in before he continued.

"But-" he tried to figure out how to word his thoughts properly. Northpaw realized that no matter how he put it, there was no way to make Windclan's update sound good. "But Dapplestar didn't make it out of the fire, they now have a new leader - Singenight," he empathized on the 'night' part, making sure that Zerosight understand what kind of leader their neighbors had now. But Ratnight was practically a saint compared to what he was about to say next.

"Like Ratnight, he has banned the following of Starclan," Northpaw's tail was twitching with his worries now. "But appearently some of the cats didn't like that, they stood against Singenight and his new rule, kind of like how some of our own clanmates had done against Ratnight," knowing how shaky his voice was, he took a deep breath before continuing, trying even out his voice. But it was in vain. "But he didn't like their rebellious attitude towards him and started to..." his gaze filled with tears as he pictured the new leader of Windclan, slaughtering his own clanmates just because they didn't like him.

Northpaw dug his face into Zerosight's fur. "Zerosight, he killed them! He killed any one who was against him, and right in front of everyone there!" He was now shaking, seeming to have lost any control over himself he might have had before. "... do you think Ratnight will do the same?" He added the last part in a horrified and terrified whisper. I don't like Ratnight, but I don't want to die either... though still, I doubt I could stand with someone like Singenight....

Stormpaw allowed herself to look back up at him again. He seemed nice enough, he was definitely being more then friendly enough to her, and besides, there was nothing to worry about. She gave a small smile, attempting to look more friendly than nervous, and the tip of her tail stopped it's nervous twitching. "Oh. I'm...sorry about your paw," She mewed, unsure of quite what to say. The injury looked like it would be quite painful, and she did feel sorry for him, but she had never been able to say things in a manner that sounded quite as...friendly as she meant them to. "Oh no, I have...nothing to do either. I annoy other cats, so...I don't have very many friends. And I don't have any good ones. I would much rather be sitting here talking to you...I suppose, I mean you've been very nice to me," Stormpaw mewed, lowering her gaze. It was true; she really didn't have very many friends. Oh no, I hope that didn't sound weird...oh, that makes me sound like some sort of a creep. I hope I'm not annoying him, that's something I definitely don't need right now, Stormpaw thought in alarm. She was unsure of Hiddenpaw's emotions at the moment, and she stole another glance at him a little more nervously then before. She was worried that she might have offended him in some way, or perhaps she was annoying him and he was just too polite to say it... should I ask about that? No wait, no, that'll be weird...just pretend not to care...be calm...don't speak your mind, don't ever speak your mind...Stormpaw thought, alarm spreading through her as she could feel her spirits rising. "I hope I'm not annoying you too much, you know you can always just tell me if I am," She mewed, her voice sounding with a little more depth to it than before. It was startling how quickly she had seemed to change. And now she was back to her more shy side, looking away from him and avoiding his eyes at all costs.

Dragonkit snorted, and his own ebony tail began to whip back and forth in irritation, as he fixed his blue hues on Echokit. Their difference in opinion made him slightly uncomfortable, although he was used to standing up for his own beliefs. Should he try and push this argument further, or leave it where it was? He wasn't quite sure. And he definitely didn't want to be arguing with Echokit much longer- he was afraid of losing her as a friend. That was one of Dragonkit's more secret fears; having everyone turn their backs on him. "Fine. Then I suppose we'll just have our separate views on this. Okay?" He asked a little shorter then he meant to. It was an attempt to end their short argument, an attempt to tell her that he wanted peace between them, although he wasn't sure whether she would catch his meaning or not. He wasn't going to try and change her mind to see things his way any further, and he knew she probably wouldn't be able to change his. Agreeing with the leader would help him to get further in his life, he supposed, but Echokit...saw things differently than him. "So...are we good? Are we friends, then?" He asked cautiously, looking at Echokit and awaited her answer. He kept his blue hues fixed on her, with a mixture of anticipation and fear. He was worried that she might turn her back on him now. Perhaps she would decide she didn't want to be friends with someone who had such different views. Or maybe she would decide that she didn't like him in general. The tip of his tail began to twitch with fear as he waited for her to reply, settling down and curling his ebony tail over his paws, although the tip continued to twitch in a half nervous, half irritated manner. He was more irritated with himself then anyone else, although part of him was annoyed that Echokit had such different views than him on Ratnight.

Hawkfeather cocked her own head to the side, looking at the tom in slight confusion. Did he mean it wasn't everyday that someone like her came and introduced themselves, or was it not every day that he was engaged in conversation? Shrugging off her confusion, she continued to beam at him. The younger warrior was fairly oblivious to Wrenclaw's calmer tone, as pretty much everything seemed more exciting to her then usual. "Oh! It's nice to meet you, Wrenclaw!" She mewed, with a bright smile. Great. It's going fine so far! Now time to get to know him, and then maybe we can be friends! Hawkfeather thought eagerly. Romance was something that had played a big part in her life in the past, and as of her current situation, she wasn't exactly interested. Still, Wrenclaw was quite a handsome tom. She suspected he probably had a mate already, there were a lot of she cats who would probably jump at the opportunity to have a conversation with him...and perhaps he was still a free tom. Well, a freeish tom. With all the she cats likely interested in him, Hawkfeather guessed it wouldn't be long before he chose one, if he hadn't done so already. Only one way to find out! She thought cheerfully. "So...Wrenclaw, do you have a mate already? Or a certain cat you like?" She asked. She then realized that could have come across the wrong way, as in her being interested. It wasn't as though she weren't intrigued by the tom's unusual pelt, and again he was quite the handsome tom...but for the moment being, she decided it was better to get to know him first and then figure out whether she developed actual feelings for Wrenclaw or whether it was just one of her little crushes that she had had over the moons.

To say in the least, arguments weren't exactly her strong point, not the way her voice sounded like gravel, nor the way she responded, she more or less resulted in threats and relied on her strength rather than the sharpness of her tongue. But nonetheless, she enjoys arguing, because it always leads up to what she wants in the end, and that's a brawl. If anyone knew Cormorantstone, it's that she loved to brawl, any time she could, with whoever she could, it didn't matter to her.
Slowly she was pushing and prodding Silvercloud to that edge, forcing her into a position to say things that would fill her with anger, already she could feel her muscles tensing as she held herself from hurtling at this other cat that very moment, her eyes wild with fury, excitement and the vaguest look of happiness.
"Oh you're welcome, but you won't be a princess for very long, I'll dethrone you, rip out that pretty fur of yours and then toss you aside like a piece of crowfood. You'll regret having ever sat beside me you stuck-up fox-hearted warrior who likely can't even fight half as good as she can clean her pelt." The dark grey tabby hissed out, yellow eyes still wild with that look from before that was a mixture of several different emotions.
Completely confident in herself, the burly she-cat curled back her lips to reveal those sharp fangs of hers, her tail lashing frenziedly behind her and her thorn-sharp claws already sinking into the ground as easy as a knife through butter. It was getting nearer and nearer to that point where she could throw herself at this cat, it would be justifiable. Silvercloud saw she was getting angry and if any cat tried to blame the fight on her, she could say that Silvercloud had the choice to walk away but chose to instigate the fight instead, so she wouldn't get in trouble for this if it came down to someone getting in trouble. While she was mostly brawn, this she-cat did have some sort of brains in that head of hers.
"THAT DOES IT, SAY GOOD BY TO YOUR PRETTY FUR!"
The grey tabby yowled before hurtling herself forward at the other female, that same, twinkling glimmer of happiness fluttering in her eyes, barely noticeable between the extreme emotions of anger and confidence that were there, but that happiness was most certainly there. This is what she lived for, she loved fighting cat's, it made her better, and victory was always a nice feeling, but she enjoyed defeat too, it allowed her to improve herself, learn from her mistakes. But she had a very good feeling that she'd be winning this scuffle. This cat was all meow and no bite.

SageFrost's bright grin was blinding as she stood before WrenClaw. She stared up at him in excitement, the joy dancing in her dark, yet vibrant blue eyes. She appreciated his interest, and she was quick to respond to his question. ``Oh! Well, I've been feeling ill for quite some time.

"No no, it's fine, you thought you were doing the right thing," he spoke in attempt to cheer her back up. Despite his feelings changing, he still didn't like to see Sagefrost upset. Which would make things hard when she learned how he actually felt. Once more the idea of simply breaking away seemed ideal. It would be a slow process, but it was bound to work before the kits were born.
A small mrrow of amusement left him at her words describing the medicine cat. A professional was one way to put it. Although shock washed over his body as Sagefrost touched her nose to his, it surprised him to say the least. She always seemed full of surprises when it came down to it. Always kept him on his toes and he'd remember that. As the words sunk in, his heart lurched. He was not ready for this. The thought of kits scared him and he immediately jerked away from her. Wrenclaws hues were unsure of everything now. "I haven't thought of it like that..." he murmured hoping that he didn't seem too un-thrilled about the idea.
Once more, he was reeled back to reality with her affection. At one time he'd return it without thinking about it, but now he wasn't sure he could manage to return such actions.
She let out a mrrow of laughter and started to step off of him. As she did so Honeykit examined Ashenkit. He was definitely stronger than her but her determination gave her the ability to have a lot of stamina in battle. She didn't like to think of their play fights as battle as she would never in a million moons wish to harm her best friend. That'll never happen! He does his best to protect me and I'll do the same. Her cobalt blue eyes became more serious and they clouded with affection. "Thanks for all you've done for me, Ashenkit." Honeykit stepped toward him and pressed her muzzle to his shoulder in an act of gratitude, "I don't think I'd ever be myself again without you help!" It was obvious that the young kit was much happier with his company but the pain of her mothers death and her mood swings would forever remained scarred in her memory and personality.

Silvercloud had a smug smirk on her face as she watched the other she cat. This was the reason she enjoyed arguments. Just seeing the angry faces, listening and shooting back comebacks, the great life of words. Silvercloud's eyes suddenly widened as Cormorantstone flung herself at her. Bye bye my pretty fur, she thought as she felt herself knocked backwards and she hit the ground hard. Her head took in most of the hit. Ouch, Silvercloud thought, though she didn't show it, she simply frowned to cover up the small headache that started to form. She couldn't help but feel a tad bit worried and just a tiny bit concerned for herself. This she cat may be smart with words but fighting physically wasn't really her strong point. Silvercloud lashed out blindly, though she wasn't so sure if she should unsheath her claws. But then again, if she didn't, the other tabby might think she was 'play fighting' and tease her for it. She couldn't let that happen. She would not let herself be teased. As her paw was halfway through the air she quickly unsheathed her claws, aiming towards the dark brown tabby's left shoulder. The tabby she cat lay on the ground, on her belly, not the best position to be in when one was fighting. Silvercloud wished she had time to think before hand. Think about her training as an apprentice. Her former mentor had taught her quite well, she was grateful for what she had learned from them but would never say it to their face. She wasn't one to really show much gratitude. She looked up at the strong she cat, trying to plan out her next move. But, like mentioned before, fighting wasn't her strong point and she wasn't the best at judging her opponents next move. Though she hid her doubt by putting on the face she normally had. A blank face. Ok, so maybe it wasn't exactly her normal face. It was more or less her normal face with a slight bit of concentration and focus on it. "Well, you can say good bye too, you muddy puddle! Don't fret! No one will miss you", Silvercloud snarled, a taunting look in her eyes. For a moment, Silvercloud seemed to stop and think, should they really be doing this? They were clanmates, and this wasn't exactly clanmate friendly behaviour. But, Silvercloud never stepped down from a challenge. No matter how hard the challenge, she had a reputation to keep up. Other cats underestimate her because she doesn't really show her....'darker' side normally, but they are normally proven wrong when they push the wrong buttons. Though sometimes, she likes being underestimated. Because then after that, she gets to surprise them. Silvercloud was a cat who liked the elemenr of surprise. It was a great thing and a really good advantage when fighting.

Does that make him a bad person? Perhaps. "I-" he hesitated and knew that was a flaw to his act. Those three words were ones he didn't play with. There was a lot of meaning behind them that he knew he could no longer understand. "I love you too, Sagefrost," he spoke quickly and gave her forehead another swift lick before turning his gaze towards her stomach. How long until she kitted now?

SageFrost noticed when WrenClaw pulled away from her after her realization, and his eyes darkened with uncertainty. Now that her excitement had worn off and she was seeing reality, she was able to notice the little things about him that she hadn't before. Why wasn't he as cheery as she? Was it a female thing? Why were his affections so hesitant? Her eyes widened in horror at these thoughts, but the fearful action could be played off as the thought of them becoming parents. What would she do without WrenClaw? She began to think of scenarios where her mate was no longer at her side.

Their kittens would be fatherless, unless he was willing to stick around for them. She didn't have many friends, and none of them were fit enough to act as her kits' father figure. She wanted to raise their kits with WrenClaw at her side, and she was sure they would. SageFrost could not - would not - give up on her family just because of a small bump in the path. She laughed lightly at the tickle of his tongue being drawn over her forehead, closing her eyes tightly as if she could chase away the itch. She was silently questioning his stutter and slowness when returning her `I love you`s. Her accusations vanished when he cast a glance at her swelling belly, and she was convinced he was just nervous about their future as parents.

``Oh, my love, you'll be a wonderful father,`` SageFrost meowed, her love for him being displayed openly via widened eyes. She moved her tail in a sweeping motion simply to keep her anxiety at bay as she awaited his response. Right now, to her, their relationship could be finished when the wrong words were said, and she feared she would say those wrong words. Then again, she could be a very nervous molly, and it was common for her to see the bad in everything. That's all, she thought. You're just thinking of the cons. So she thought of the pros. WrenClaw would stay by her side, and they'd watch their kits grow to be happy adults. How could she ever doubt him? They made a promise when they were younger, and it hasn't been broken yet.

"You'll do wonderful as a mother," he replied simply, knowing that she'd be much better off without him. The pain he would soon cause her would be almost too much for even him to stick around for. Twitefall would understand. [Fenic!] He thought to himself thinking of the dilute calico. She brought a playful side out in him that Sagefrost couldn't accomplish anymore. She was the feline Sagefrost hadn't known of yet. He'd keep it that way for now, but it was only a matter of time before she found out. We're just friends though! Wrenclaw argued with himself. There's nothing wrong with having a good friend!

Even with those thoughts in his mind, he couldn't help but notice how much he liked being around that feline. No. Stop. Wrenclaw threw the thoughts to the side and looked clearly at Sagefrost who seemed to be staring up at him eagerly. Wrenclaw's mate didn't seem to doubt him at all. Should she be? He thought it was logical enough being how they were the past few moons. It was obvious they were losing that closeness. It was obvious to him he'd break their promise.

Fogfire padded out of the warrior den, leaning down in a large stretch. She straightened up, her fluffy grey tail flicking in irritation as she noticed that Thunderstrike wasn't at the camp entrance. We agreed to meet up here, and he wasn't in the warrior's den! Where in Starclan did he go off too? She easily answered her own question. Probably distracted by some poor molly. She made her way over to the entrance, sitting down rather impatiently. If he does this one more time, I swear I'll scratch up that 'perfect' face of his! See if the she-cats like him then! She grew a small smile at that, snorting as she imagined him trying to flirt with large marks down his face. "Ugh, I want to be hunting," The molly muttered to herself, amusement vanishing as she searched the clearing for her friend. Where is that stupid golden pelt?

Thunderstrike walked away from a molly. He then realized he forgot to meet up with Fogfire.
"Foxdung!" he said under his breath. He ran off to go and find her and saw her at the entrance.
"You look amazing like always." he said with a smile.

Fogfire sighed, ignoring his comment. "Honestly Thunderstrike, how hard is it to get here on time?" She asked, exasperated. "We're supposed to be hunting- it's almost leafbare now, there's no time for your antics! How are we supposed to catch enough now?" She rolled her eyes, shoving his shoulder with her paw. "You'll do wonderful as a mother," he replied simply, knowing that she'd be much better off without him. The pain he would soon cause her would be almost too much for even him to stick around for. Twitefall would understand. [@Fenic! (http://warriorcatsonline.com/forums/member.php?u=150)] He thought to himself thinking of the dilute calico.

SageFrost immediately brightened at WrenClaw's words, words that gave her confidence. She bounced cheerfully, and it appeared as if her cloud of pelt flew upwards only to gently float back onto her skin. She released an ear-splitting squeal, and lurched forward to draw her rough tongue along his cheek. ``Our future will be great!`` She exclaimed, her excitement having returned after his encouraging statement. Her body tingled all over, and she was prepared to run around the clan territories.

At this moment, she felt her belly rumble aggressively. Casting a sheepish grin towards WrenClaw, she stepped closer to the fresh-kill pile and further from him. ``Know what? I am starving! Would you like to join me?`` SageFrost laughed softly at swift speech, though her amusement was an attempt to bury her nerves. She found herself to be awfully humiliating today, but she blamed her anxiety at the news of becoming parents. ``I mean, I understand if you have other things to do. I probably won't be able to talk during this meal. That's how hungry I am!`` She finished her rambling, adopting an innocent expression as she gazed at the love of her life.

A grey pelted warrior, streatching and coming out of the den where he'd been napping for a while. He bathed in it and was warmed by it. Nettlenose relished the sunlight for a second longer, then stood and raised his back towards the sky. He opened his eyes a looked towards the clearing.

Groups were scarrtered throughout the grassy space. Clumps of apprentices huddled outside their den, kits tumbled outside the nursery. Nettle smiled and trotted over to the entrance of camp, spotting some acquaintances. Thunderstrike and Fogfire looked as if they were about to leave camp. Hunting? Border patrol? A walk? He wasn't sure what they were heading out for, but he was happy to come along, if they'd have him.

"Heading out?" Nettlenose injured of the pair, reaching them and slowing down. The tomcat raised his paws and, with a clock of his head, mewed again, "Hunting? Can I come?"

(No you're good, I meant for Nettlenose to come for them now, so perfect timing hah xD)

Fogfire blinked at the tom. She had seen him around camp plenty of times- his name was Nettlenose, if she remembered correctly. She didn't recall ever talking to the tom, but still she nodded enthusiastically. "Yup, we were just about to go hunting. You're plently welcome." She meowed with a light tone. She turned to Thunderstrike. "Lead the way," the grey cat exclaimed, paws itching to do something. "I bet I'll catch more than you," she challenged her friend, brown eyes narrowing in a teasing manner. The molly tilted her head, turning to Nettlenose. "Up for a bit of a competition between the three of us?" She asked, extending the challenge to the other tom.

Despite her challenge, Fogfire wasn't the best at hunting Thunderclan prey. While her father did come from her clan, she was born to a Riverclan mother and grew up there for part of the time. In reality, she would probably loose the challenge to one of the other toms besides her, but she didn't let that discourage her.

The she-cat sat down beside her apprentice and curled her tail around her paws. "If another battle comes, we should train. But if you want to rest, we can go hunting instead."

"Ok then, come along." Bluetail got up and padded out of the apprentices' den. She began to rethink the tragic day of the fire. Flames, branches, ashes, that's all you could see. All I could do was help get the kits and that elder out of camp, but the elder was killed while we were guiding the little ones. Bluetail shivered, she hoped she would never see that day again.

Brightkit rolled over onto her back, the little calico's bi-colored hues showing her boredom. It was obvious she wasn't in the best of moods...which was unusual for her, considering she was normally very excited. But with all the events having happened, she was left feeling just a little drained. The small kit sat up suddenly, and stretched out, her pale pink tongue curving over her ivory fangs before she got to her paws finally. Well, I can probably find something to do...something interesting...Brightkit thought with a sigh, as her good eye scanned the nursery. Everything was still blurry, which she had never quite understood; she imagined it was normal, otherwise wouldn't someone have told her by now? Brightkit shrugged the uneasy feeling off that there was something she didn't know and continued to look around with a bright expression and a grin on her maw. Even if she was upset or frustrated, her eyes never showed it. Never.

Brightkit could see the tom laying down, looking very relaxed indeed. A mischievous gleam entered her hues and, for a moment, she looked as though she were about to attack. Before doing so, however, the she cat stopped and examined him. Should she wake him up? Was he really asleep? His posture seemed a little...tense, for that of a cat who was sleeping, but his eyes were closed. And besides that, it would be fun! Something to do to spice up the dull afternoon. Brightkit crouched down, heading towards him in a sort of half-crouch, which made her gait very strange. It looked as though she were trying to dance without having any idea of how to dance and messing it up. In one swift, strange movement, Brightkit bounded towards Bellykit, landing on his back and making sure her claws were sheathed so she didn't accidentally inflict any damage on the tom. "Did I scare you? Did I get you?" She asked, looking down at the cat beneath her paws, a bright gleam shining in her hues. She awaited his answer eagerly, the tip of her tail moving rapidly in excitement.

Fogfire shrugged, deciding to let it go. She headed to the entrance, looking back at Thunderstrike and Nettlenose. "Well you two, let's get going!" She gave an enthusiastic bounce as she reached the tunnel, spinning around in a circle before darting out into the territory. She emerged out into the territory and sat down besides the entrance, self consciously checking her pelt to make sure it was well kept before her two friends came out after her. Satisfied with her appearance, she turned her chocolately gaze on the tunnel.

Stomach growling, Mudpaw lay her own catches on the fresh-kill pile and picked a mouse for herself. Its fresh scent made her mouth water as she carried it over to the Apprentice's den. Settling down outside it, she tucked her paws to her chest and began devouring the mouse in neat bites. Today was amazing, she thought to herself, swallowing the last bite of the mouse. I learned so much!

With a full stomach, she padded into her den, glad for the warmth of her nest. The sun was dipping below the horizon, bringing the chill of leaf bare into the air. As she curled her tail over her nose, she purred contentedly, excited for her next training session.

It might've just been his imagination but he was almost certain he had heard cries and shrieks coming from the ShadowClan territory. As if....someone had been fighting? But for it to be so loud, it would've had to be a major battle. Who would attack ShadowClan like that. He shrugged away the thoughts on ShadowClan and started thinking about RiverClan instead. He had heard some rumours that apparently Bucknight had died. He wasn't too sure if he believed those rumours. There wasn't any proof from what he had overheard so for now, he didnt really believe it. The stormy coloured apprentice dragged himself out of his thoughts and focused on finding a quiet spot in the clearing. He found a spot near the apprentice's den and decided to sit down there. Nettlenose narrowed hiss eyes as Thunderstrike cast him a stare. What had gotten into that tom? What did he have against Nettlenose? As far as he knew, he'd done nothing to upset the other tomcat. But... The grey tabby rolled his eyes at Thunderstrike. How could he let his being protective of Fogfire get in the way of a perfectly fine relationship between himself and Nettle? The warrior's own pair of perrywinkle orbs rolled in his head and he lifted his paws from the ground. His hind legs were the only thing to be seen before he kept off after Fogfire, eyes narrowed, angry at the acquaintance.

Trying to clear his head, he allowed the wind to both him. The brisk chill make his paws bounce off he ground and his tail jerk back and forth as he ran to chat he up with his new friend. Nettlenose attempted to put out of his mind the glares and prospective future he had with Fogfire's friend, and focus on the game, as he always did. The quick-witted and nimble male jumped through the wood, eventually slowing in a clearing where the she-cat had stopped. "As good a place as any to start a hunt," he remarked, his tone noticably edgier that normal, "How about we all go opposite directions? Someone can go towards the sun, or towards the pond?" The suggestions were plenty good to clear his mind. "And maybe, then, later," the tall charcoal tabby went on, "I could teach you some of my games."

Swiftwind's eyes blinked open as the sun filtered into the warrior's den through the brambles. Her jaws parted into a yawn as her hips swung upwards into a stretch. Just another day in Thunderclan.. Swiftwind thought while slipping out of the den into the clearing. She glanced around quickly, feeling tension crawl through her fur. Things haven't felt right since Ratnight took over, but she wasn't going to get herself killed over voicing her opinion. Lay low and ride things out, hopefully something would happen and peace would be restored within the clan.

She trotted to the opposite side of the clearing to the fresh kill pile. Her ears pinned back as she examined the fresh kill to decide what she wanted this afternoon. Swiftwind made up her mind quickly and picked a scrawny pigeon from the pile. Then she laid down and began nibbling at the wings while observing her felllow clanmates.

Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there...b-because I wasn't paying attention, not because you're not noticeable or- or anything," The she cat mewed, her ears tilting backwards in a discomforted manner. She didn't like drawing attention to herself. And she didn't like "accidentally" doing things. It made her feel very out of control. Besides, this apprentice didn't exactly look like he had been expecting company, he had looked more like he wanted to be left alone. "I...I can go somewhere else if you want, I- don't want to be a bother," She added nervously. Stormpaw was unused to starting up conversations. She rarely was one to keep a conversation going but in this instance, it would have been rude for her to just walk away. Yes, that would have been very rude indeed...she hoped the tom wouldn't think she was being annoying. That was more of a label Stormpaw had given herself, under the impression that she did annoy other cats, and she was beginning to believe it more and more. She would have hated to bother this other apprentice, and accidentally make an enemy in the process. Stormpaw awaited his reply nervously, shifting her blue hues in any direction but his, her silver tail twitching nervously.

"Okay, okay! Geez, calm down!' Brightkit grumbled a little. She was energetic; this cat was just being grumpy. She didn't notice him pouncing towards her until it was too late and he bowled her over, sending her rolling head over tail with a stifled squeak of surprise. "Hey! Ooh, you're going to regret that!" She laughed, bounding towards him and skidding to a stop right in front of him, realizing her vision was a little blurrier than usual. She shook her head, attempting to perhaps clear it, and thankfully for her it worked. She batted at Bellykit with her soft paws, attempting to wrestle him to the ground and she would be the champion of the unexpected game. Her hues sparkled with intrigue and a playful fire that was pretty much always there...at least, if you were looking for it it was always there. The fluffy tortoiseshell padded into the clearing, shaking his fur from his rest in the nursery. He was starting to get very aggravated at the crowded den filled with kits and queens. Though he was rambunctious himself, he had learned the hard way that playing inside the nursery could be... annoying to others. Of course, he had to respect their trouble making personalities.

And he was still as rambunctious as always. Now Orchidkit was even more hyper due to the excitement of soon becoming an apprentice with only a moon to go. Unlike many other apprentices, his mind was filled with guesses on who would become his mentor, but instead trying to think about what it would be like to just run around without having to sneak around and worry about getting into trouble. Nope, he'd instead be allowed to roam and play in the forest.

He wished that he could also wander onto the other clans' territories. Maybe that could be another rule to break, he thought mischievously. Orchidkit loves to figure out rules he could break - as long as they weren't too bad. But he honestly didn't think that trespassing was that bad of a rule to break. His fluffy tail waved at the thought of actually being able to hunt and fight, sadly admitting that he couldn't really do either.

The small molly, Well not so small anymore..wandered around in the clearing. Since the fire her patch of fur that got burned had fully grown back. Luckily she didn't have a scar after that. She shook her head getting rid of the negative thoughts that that where floating around in her head. Timberkit thought about her being an apprentice, since she was pretty close to becoming one. Maybe she could fight a fox or a badger. "A little to risky if you ask me, more like a death wish actually", the thought sound highly ridiculous to her. The molly started to think of other things she can do. Maybe climb a tree or catch a mouse, some pretty bad idea's. Maybe she could hang around the came and awkwardly sit there doing nothing...like and idiot...Most likely her only would be tending to the elders and cleaning their flea bitten fur. "Gross...", The molly muttered under her breath.

"What's gross?" The big tom had noticed Timberkit not too long after exiting the den. He had known the other kit for a few moons now and considered her a close friend by this time. He was glad to see that she seemed to have grown up a bit more, knowing how she had felt about her small size before. He remembered kidding her and calling her a 'mouse' after the size comparison.

Upon seeing her, he had approached the molly just in time her her say 'gross'. His green gaze glowed with a playful amusement. Since the fire, he hadn't been able to spend as much time with Timberkit. Though that was mostly his fault. He had found a new target of his flirtatious nature, an apprentice by the name of Honeypaw. She wasn't older than him but much.

But now he perked his fluffy ears in curiosity as he watched the smaller kit. He was still a lot bigger than her, but that wasn't saying much since he was bigger than the other kits - and had been since he was about three moons. Now Orchidkit wished the play again with the molly and make up for the past few moons of distance, not trying to push her away or anything like that.

Hearing a voice oh so familiar, Timberkit turned her gaze to the large tom. 'Someday I swear, he is going to be as big as a dog...', Timberkit let out a small sigh, maybe that would be ridiculously possible. "Nothing..", She answered simply, There was no reason for Orchidkit to hear what she is thinking. Manly keeping her thoughts to herself would be the best option. "What are you doing out here anyway?",The kit asked changing the subject. Most likely she knew he might just want to go out into the territory. Then again she doesn't really know, they haven't really talked to each other since the fire till now.

Though the tom was curious as to what Timberkit had thought was gross, he decided to just shrug it off and not push too much. He didn't know that if he kept questioning her about it than she might actually just walk away from their conversation. He didn't want their first conversation since the fire to just die off so soon just because he had pushed on a subject. Orchidkit was being careful.

Hr gave her another goofy smile as she decided to change the subject and go for a different conversation. His perked up and his fluffy tail waved at her. "Oh, you see, I just woke up from a great nap," he mewed innocently. "And now that I am well rested... I am ready to break some more rules," Orchidkit laughed as he added the last part, the innocents gone and replaced with the usual troublemaker.

"If you want, you can come with me," the tortoiseshell offered. "I'm just going onto the territory for now, but I'm also brainstorming about what I'll do after I become an apprentice. It won't be against the rules then to go onto the territory, so that means my trouble must be spread to other rules," the tomkit's orbs sparkled with his natural mischievous look.

Timberkit chuckled at the Ochidkits goofy smile and let her tail sway a bit. "No kits climbed on you like you where a rock?", Timberkit teased since she knew kits probably look at him that way. Then hearing Orchidkit say he was going to 'Break some rules she shook her head slowly. "And what rules will you be breaking exactly?", The las asked as she tilted her head slightly. Orchidkit could break as many as he wanted probably go a bit overboard with the rule breaking. Then hearing his offer she thought about it for a moment and smiled. "Sure why not, maybe you can tell me some of your idea's?", The molly said.

Stormpaw padded out of the apprentice's den, the silver she cat's blue hues searching the Clearing for someone she knew. Anyone...distracted by her thoughts, she accidentally brushed against Stormpaw. "Oh!

Stormpaw was chewing on one of his voles while he stared off into space. He was dreaming once again like he always did. This time, the apprentice was dreaming about being the one who saved the clan from Ratnight. Obviously, that could never have happened. There were lots of reasons, but two main reasons were that Stormpaw was just an apprentice and didn't have enough experience to defeat a warrior like him, and Ratnight had already been defeated. By that cat named....Grousestar? Was that his name? He couldn't remember properly but he was sure that it was something like that. Suddenly, as Stormpaw's fur brushed against Stormpaw's fur, he was immediately dragged out of his thoughts. "Oh, no it's fine. You can stay", Stormpaw said with a smile. "I don't really have no one to talk to anyway so it would be great if you stayed", The stormy coloured apprentice remarked. It would be nice to talk to someone, especially abou the battle that had taken place not very long again. Stormpaw had fought with another apprentice in the battle, one of his own clanmates. He hadn't been a supporter of Ratnight and he felt super guilty when he was fighting but he knew he couldn't give up. He wasn't sure what had happened to the apprentice afterwards. They had both backed off and now he had lost sight of the apprentice.

Stormpaw could feel her pelt beginning to heat up more and she glanced towards Stormpaw for a moment before looking away again. Just maintain eye contact like any normal cat...you're fine, he's friendly...Stormpaw thought, feeling a twinge of nervous anxiety rush through her for a second. The she cat was not good with meeting new cats. And especially when they were so friendly, she didn't have a good excuse to move away.

And even if she did, why would she want to? Stormpaw was being very polite to her. There was no reason why she shouldn't be just as courteous back to him...at least, if she could. "O-oh, well thank you...that's very- very kind of you, I...appreciate it, sorry if I- I interrupted you in the middle of something you were thinking about..." Stormpaw mewed, lowering her gaze once more.

Why did it have to be so difficult for her to be polite? It shouldn't be this hard...but it was.

Stormpaw shook his head. "You didn't interrupt my thoughts. I normally think and daydream anyway. I'm used to it", Stormpaw remarked. He sat there for a moment, thinking about the few sentences they had just spoken. He couldn't help but think they sounded so....polite. They didn't sound like the way apprentice's normally did when they talked. Stormpaw wasn't really used to it. He was a cat who normally spoke with a fun and friendly attitude, he wasn't familiar with being polite like this. The stormy coloured apprentice suddenly realised that his fellow apprentice was still there, probably staring at him awkwardly while he thought of things. Stormpaw felt as though the atmosphere suddenly got more awkward. He looked down at his paws and saw he still had his second vole. "Uh, here. You can have this, I didn't plan on eating both of them anyway", Stormpaw said rather awkwardly, nudging the vole towards Stormpaw. "Forgive my bad memory, but what is your name?", Stormpaw asked, realising he still didn't even know the name of the cat he was talking to. He would never had thought the cat he was talking to had the same name as him though.

Stormpaw gave the tom an uneasy smile, trying to look as friendly as she possibly could. It was better to be friendly, after all, rather than being rude. "Oh. Well good, I would have hated to interrupt you doing something important," Stormpaw mewed, allowing herself another few fleeting moments of eye contact. Don't force it, Stormpaw...don't force it, She thought, feeling a slight bout of alarm rush through her mind. She wondered if it had shown. Had she appeared that nervous? Hopefully not, surely she hadn't...right?

"Oh! Well th- thank you, that's very courteous of you," Stormpaw mewed with another, more friendly smile. Yes, it was certainly rare to find a tom so friendly as Stormpaw, although she was determined not to show her surprise. That would be giving too much away too soon, and Stormpaw was not one to give her trust easily. Nor her friendship. The she cat was not easy to win over, although she did have to admit that another friendly face was more than welcome in her everyday life. "Hm? Oh, Stormpaw- I mean, I'm Stormpaw. That's my- my name." Stormpaw mewed, embarrassed to have been caught off guard by the question. How dumb could she have been, thinking that he wouldn't want to know her name? Of course he would, it was a natural thing...and yet it had caught her off guard. "You'll have to forgive me as well, I don't seem to recall your name either," The feline laughed nervously, her blue hues glancing up at him worriedly as she did so.

"Sure why not, maybe you can tell me some of your idea's?", The molly said.

"Like a rock?" He seemed to actually be thinking seriously about this for a moment, though he really wasn't. "Nope - like a mountain!" Orchidkit had never been ashamed of his size, being much bigger than most other cats his age and believed he might become one of the biggest warrior in Thunderclan. Instead, he loved it! Orchidkit liked that others knew he was big, it meant he was just dung to be bigger and stronger than most cats. He would scare the dung out of anyone who dared mess with him!

He gave off a shrug at her next question. "I don't know, pretty much just sneaking out, but where ever the day bring me I suppose," he laughed at this. He didn't usually think ahead and plan everything out and would much rather just live in the moment. Though of course he did look for to the future such as becoming an apprentice and warrior, but he had no real plans except mess around once he became one.

The tom waved to her with his tail to follow as he headed towards their usual hole behind the nursery in order to sneak out of camp. It was so small, and he had claw around the edges to get through. His fur was thicker now that leaf-bare was here, and that certainly did not help. Once he was freed he turned towards Timberkit as she asked for him to share some ideas. "Honestly... I want to explore the other territories. Like the other clans and even outside the clans," even he knew it sounded a bit too... extravagant, even for him. "I don't want to steal food from other clans or anything like that, but rather just explore it a little, ya know?"

Then seeing him struggle to get through the small hole she couldn't help but laugh. "Are you still proud of your size Orchidkit?", Timberkit chuckled as she easily made her way through. She tuck her tongue out at him before she bounded away with her fluffy tail swaying behind her. She was still paying attention to the tom and skidded to a stop. "Hey, the only way we will be able to go into the other clan territories is a quest...But if you go I'm going It might be fun. Even If we will be breaking the rules. Another reason is so that you wont get killed.", Timberkit was being completely honest.
