Nettlepaw, a small light brown she-cat with one blue eye and the other green walked slowly out of the apprentice's den to search the camp for something to do. She walked over to the fresh kill pile and picked out a shrew, then sat down with the other apprentices. The half clan cat waited for someone to come and talk to her. It didn't have to be an apprentice as long as they we're fun and not boring.

The light brown cat let out a long sigh and began to tear through her fresh kill. After she was done she began to lick her tongue through her smooth, but Messy fur to show that shecould take care of herself.

[don't worry about post lengths! it's a bit freeing to not be pressured to reply with a lot of paragraphs anyway ^^]

Fennelnose observed Harmonyblade with an emotionless stare. Although it was hard to realize, the feline did have some emotions, as conveyed in their earlier sentences. They worried for the cats in the Clan like a mother fretting over her kits, but they concealed it with ease. If anything, all they would have to do was direct that compassion towards their family and Dawncloud—well, Fennelnose could basically consider her a sister to them—so that nobody would realize how much they cared for others and how little for themselves. It was an act of selflessness, only having grown since leaving their... their mate, and becoming deputy to Snowstar, someone who looked to be unpredictable. StarClan, it hurt to think of Pigeonfleck. But they supposed that they would have to anyway at Harmonyblade's questions. They closed their eyes; inhale. Just don't say his name and it will be fine.

They opened their eyes; exhale. "Yes..." they began, voice quiet and cracking. Fennelnose dug their claws into the ground and tried again, leveling their stare. "Yes. I am a parent to Jayspot and Remorapaw. I... don't have a mate. Not anymore." With their mouth pressed together in a line, they looked unwilling to expound on that subject. "What about you? Is this why you're looking ill?"(sorry for the late reply as well!)
"And to be able to juggle that and be deputy all at once...I admire cats like you for it, Fennelnose. But yes, I will admit i am quite concerned for my own family." HarmonyBlade sighed and paused then started again "My mate and I used to live a peaceful life at Seastones along with another Tom, CrispLeaf. Soon enough, VelvetNight became pregnant with my kits. Three of them, there were. Two she's and a Tom. But there was some drama between my mate and CrispLeaf. Maybe an ancient affair. But she was really distraught about it. He was very violent towards her, verbally, mentally and emotionally abusing her. Apparently she promised herself to him before my time." the ginger Tom had to stop and pull himself together "I tried my best to comfort her I really did but we had to hide the kits whenever he was around because he could never know...we both feared for their lives he said if he ever saw them he'd threatened to harm them." A shiver went down HarmonyBlade's spine, causing him to shudder. "So we made a decision to take the kits in Leaf-bare and leave them in the forest. We didn't know their fate where they were what happened...but they're fine...turns out they were on WindClan territory, on re brink of death...when a kind warrior named StormTail took them to the nursery and raised them like her own. They're now apprentices known as Gleampaw, Acornpaw and ShinePaw." He stared into the distance, losing himself in his thoughts. He shook his head and sighed again, his voice now croaky. "When VelvetNight left them, she was pregnant with CrispLeaf's kits...two toms-Overkit because she's over love and everything now and Thundrakit after the frozen forest that she left our first litter in. VelvetNight and I decide to move to ThunderClan where we could keep a close eye on WindClan and the upbringing of our kits, although CrispLeaf just thought it would be better for Overkit and Thundrakit's survival because there's more prey and whatnot. But despite being over all the abuse and suffering...we regret it more than anything...the suffering is still following us wherever we go, clinging to our pelts giving off the stench of salty tears and pained grief. We wished we could see their apprentice ceremony, see their warrior ceremony, maybe even see them grow old having lived a happy life and join the elders den! Is that so much to ask?" He yowled. HarmonyBlade had to whisper now, his voice lost. "So instead, I've tried to be a loving mate and a good influence on the kits that aren't my own...I've tried to be a father figure to young cats who didn't have one just like my kits wouldn't have had. I enjoy being a mentor and seeing the proud smiles on queen's faces when their kits turn into warriors. And I like to share that pride and see them grow from small fur balls into the mightiest of lions!" a small smile spread across the tom's ginger face. Now hot and flustered, HarmonyBlade panted while he controlled himself. Amongst all the grieving and howling, the ginger warrior had forgotten that the deputy was staring at him until he looked up with his yellow lamp like eyes and stared back into Fennelnose's.
(Holy moly! That was long...is that too long for you?!)

As Adderheart emerged into the clearing, he saw cats that he'd never seen before. There were two cats sharing tongues near a fallen beech tree, and so many other cats just minding their own business. He realized that no cat knew he was there yet. He didn't dare approach one of them because of the chance of getting attacked. He just sat down and decided to wait until someone noticed him. My mother sent me here for a reason. I just hope they accept me.

Falconmoon padded out of the warriors den, her jaws stretched in a yawn as she curled her tail and licked her chest fur down. The Maine Coon she-cat approached the fresh-kill pile, managing to snatch a decently sized vole. She devoured it in hungry, quick mouthfuls and approached her sister Nettlepaw.
"Hello, Nettlepaw!" She mewed, smiling at her kin.

Signaling with her tail, Falcon pricked her ears as she saw a shrew. Crouching, she stalked up on the small creature and pounced. She pinned it to the ground with her paws, killing it with a swift blow. She buried the prey as she intended to hunt more, and padded back to Nettlepaw.

Attentive metallic eyes scanned the clearing, a flat expression across the tom's face, lying in the shade, tail curling and uncurling lazily against the ground. He was looking for someone, not just anyone, but his own son. A low hum of a purr rumbled in Shredfern's throat, his eyes finally settling on the familiar pelt of his kit. He sighed, finally a warrior. Shredfern could hardly believe it, was he really that old?

Heaving himself off the ground with only a few pops of his bones, he decided yes, he was that old. He admired his son for a few moments. Had he changed since his nursery times? Shredfern could hardly tell, he'd raised him, spent as much time with him as he could, and he genuinely made sure Leafki-- no, Leafwatcher, not a kit anymore, knew his father loved him. Lately, they'd drifted away, rarely seeing one another since his apprenticeship, Shredfern handling more and more duties of his own, and aging into an elder. He swore he saw greying fur on his muzzle the other sunrise.

Sitting up with a grin, Shredfern's eyes glinted as he called over his son. He was still his kit, and therefore, he'd treat him as such. Well, not too much, he was still a capable young warrior, "Leafwatcher!" Shredfern's voice rasped slightly, making him cough roughly. Perhaps he was older than he wanted to believe..

A brown tabby was calming sitting in a particular spot, a spot he had fond memories in, when he was a kit, and used to play with his pebble in that particular spot, it was filled with fond memories the tom thought of often. Now, he was a warrior, oh how fast time went by. And yet..he felt like it went too fast, too fast for his tastes. He was so much older now, and that felt like yesterday he just a kit, playing with his pebble, not worrying about his past, or his mothers death really at all, or thinking about it really, keeping all his anger kept in, or most of it really.
Then after, when he told Stormwing about his past, his mothers death, and the Dusk Syndicate, he thought about it a lot more than he would usually, and he thought about the Dusk Syndicate more, which made him, rather angry, and revenge filled, but only just a tiny, small bit of him did fill with revenge. Leafwatcher wasn't one to be rash at all really, and revenge was something that probably wouldn't happen for him, and it wasn't very healthy to kill someone for that reason. He wouldn't want to do it anyways, afterall. It was wrong, and warrior didn't kill anyways unless he had to, if they were non-clan. But, he didn't want to do kill, anyways. With a shake of his head, he rasped his tongue over his pelt, lightly grooming it, his pebble in his paw. He had noticed, lately, Remorapaw had been carrying a pebble around with them. It wasn't a very noticeable change, but for Leafwatcher, it was, it really was, and it made him happy that his friend was taking after him, and maybe a bit, embarrassed really.
His tail flicked lightly as he thought, he was glad that he had good friends like them. The Bengals ears perked up as he heard his father, and a calm smile swept up on his muzzle, and slowly but surely, the new warrior stood up, and lightly walked over his father, a friendly, but calm and thoughtful gleam in his eyes. The fact that his father, looked so old made him slightly saddened by the fact. He wouldn't be able to be able to go on patrols with him, if he was going to the elders soon. "Hi-- Shredfern." Leafwatcher spoke politely.

"Of course it's alright, it's not a bad name, it's not like I'm calling you crow food or something!" Meowed the she-cat with a small snort and a roll of her eyes, she had confidence that all of the names she gave to other cats were in fact good names and names that shouldn't offend others, even though she never really was the best judge in that field.
"I know it won't hurt them! That's why I do it and yet they act like I've committed like treason against the whole of Thunderclan or something! Hoity toity is all they are. Makes me want to prank them even more just to piss them off." A devilish smirk perked up her lips a bit before she shook her head and glanced at him. "Nah I usually don't like the use the same prank twice anyways, it gets kind of boring and predictable.. No, it'll be something fun, something amazing that she'll just have to laugh and accept that I'm the best prankster this clan has to offer. Maybe she'll actually appreciate my humor!"
There was a pause as if she were trying to come up with a prank right on the spot, her bushy tail flicking first one way and then the next, but she looked back at him when he asked her the question. Grinning, the she-cat held her head high. "You can call me Imp or Coon, don't care which one, but make sure it's only one of those two, I don't accept any others. Now we have our names situated lets see, lets see.. I don't want to scare her, I want to do something that would make her laugh.. This is going to take some time. This has got to be the best prank I've pulled yet, it won't just come by me just sitting here.." Already, the she-cat was pacing. "Maybe I can rig something that covers her in feathers when she walks past? No that doesn't sound good.. Hrm... Maybe I can catch a bunch of butterflies and release them into her cave and act like they killed me? So that she thinks they're killer butterflies? Now that would be fun! What do you think? Come on Bird, give me some ideas." She stopped pacing momentarily to look at her fellow apprentice.

Kestrelpaw smiled, "From what I've seen from Snowstar, I think she'll like your humor. Alright, Imp I think the butterflies sound pretty funny. But we would have to find a way to catch them and keep them so they don't fly away. You could be out in the territory and pretend to be dying while I fetch Snowstar." He mewed. The thought of the prank sounded really amusing to him, he was sure Snowstar would find it funny.

A ginger tail stuck up out of a bush, and suddenly, an equally ginger head popped out, two orange eyes scanning the clearing. Foxkit was playing around in the bushes near the nursery, of course probably getting into trouble. But what sort of trouble was the question. Foxkit dove back into the bush, emerging from it a moment later. "So, what do I do now?" She mumbled to herself. Foxkit had had an eventful week so far. She had talked with an older warrior, Snowyclaw, and shown him her amazing skills. Then she talked to an interesting kit named Treekit. Foxkit hadn't really understood the kit much, but was sure to in the future. Now, she was ready for some more fun, as today seemed to be dragging on for the young kit. Her mother would probably say she needed to take a nap, but no way would Foxkit do that. She'd been bored all day, and she was ready for some fun. I could go bother Lionheart, or Wheatfur... Lionheart had been the equivalent of a father for the young she-kit, but he didn't seem to be in camp right now. And Wheatfur, as Foxkit's uncle, had also been a little like a father to her. Nah, I'm really in for some cats my age interaction...

Nah, I'm really in for some cats my age interaction...

Sablekit came running out of the nursery at high speeds, giggling at something her mother had yelled after the young kit. She was looking over her shoulder as she took a sharp turn to follow one of the nursery's wall, and didn't see Foxkit until it was too late. The brown she-cat ran straight into the ball of fluffy ginger, knocking her skull right against the other she-kits. She bounced off, but still manage to roll to her paws again afterwards; her natural reflexes showing. "Ow ow ow," She mewed even though they hadn't hit hard enough to cause any real damage. She shook her head back and forth, attempting to clear the pain. The kitten seemed to take a moment before she realized she had run into another cat, her ice blue eyes widening in surprise to see Foxkit not far from her and basically in the same position. "Oh, sorry!" She squeaked, instantly stepping forward into the stranger's space to sniff as the spot her head had collided into Foxkit's. "I'll get Wheatfur if you need me to!"
Her day had been extremely uneventful until now. She had met an interesting cat a few days ago but until then it had been entirely boring.
In a way, she was kind of happy to have an excuse to talk to this kitten now, not that she really ever needed an excuse to walk up to somebody and ask them to hang out; Sable was more than capable to do that with all of her assertiveness.

Foxkit groaned, her head pounding. She had not expected that, at all. the poor she-kit was taken completely unaware, but she was a tough little one. She sat up and blinked open her orange eyes, focusing in on the kit in front of her. The one who, Foxkit supposed, had ran into her. After a moment, the ginger kit registered the other kit's question, and she quickly shook her head. "No, It's fine, I'll be fine..." Her voice trailed off as she touched the top of her head, the place where Sablekit had collided into her. She winced a little, but otherwise, she was fine. And you could tell, as right then she leaped to her paws, facing Sablekit. "Yep! I'm perfectly fine! But what a great way to start some new fun, am I right?" Foxkit purred, bouncing on her paws happily. "Oh, and I'm Foxkit by the way." Foxkit had learned that not everyone knew her name, and so she may need to introduce herself to most of them. She wasn't that important yet. "And what's your name? I might've heard it before, but I am not the best with names." The ginger feline let out a little laugh, swishing her tail through the air with happiness. This was the perfect way to have some more fun for the day. Besides, if she went and bothered her older relatives, she's probably get scolded by her mother. I am almost an apprentice though!!

Fennelnose blinked at the tom in front of them—he actually admired them? The deputy let out a low, short laugh. “Don’t worry, I’m not juggling it very well.” Their expression grew somber as they thought about their kits. Those wonderful, sweet children of theirs who they hadn’t spoken to in so long. “I don’t think I’ve paid attention to Remora and Jay in a rather long time.” But they quieted when Harmonyblade’s (they remembered his name, finally) voice started up once more. Throughout the warrior’s speech, they kept their face still and devoid of a good amount of emotion. Wow, he’s just deciding to spill his life story to me, thought Fennelnose. At Harmonyblade’s crescendo into a yowl, they took a step back, surprised at the outburst of emotion. That was one of the only signs of emotion given at their story. Once they had finished, Fennelnose managed a small smile if only to make their acquaintance more at ease. “Well, I think you’re doing a good job at being a good influence,” they offered. Moments later, they opened their mouth once more, the smile vanishing. “I… don’t know if you’d like me to share my entire history with you, seeing as that’s what you just did,” they started, “but some things are best kept secret, yeah?” They were referring solely to their own past, something they had hid under lock and key. Only one cat knew of it with their consent, and they wanted to keep it that way.

Fennelnose observed the warrior, thinking about how they were to word what they were about to ask. It could prove to be difficult for Harmonyblade to answer, and they would understand if they blew the question off entirely. Still, they were just too curious. “So with your kits in WindClan: why haven’t you retrieved them and brought them to ThunderClan? Is it because they’re supposedly better off there?” Narrowing their eyes at the ginger tabby, Fennelnose jumped straight into the fire. “What will you do when you meet them in battle? Will you be disloyal to ThunderClan to save blood?” they genuinely wanted to know, not even knowing how Fennelnose themself would respond to the question. They didn’t ask it in the suspicion of betrayal, but in their own curiosity. Their desire to know more and more was like a bottomless well, never showing any signs of being satisfied. They always wanted more. “If I had kin in other Clans, I don’t think I would spare them,” they stated. If it was ThunderClan against a different Clan, then they were on opposing sides. If anything, their kin could simply join Fennelnose’s Clan and fight with them. Maybe it was because they were the deputy, maybe it was because of their corrupted family. Who knew the reasons anymore?

JaggedSpot slipped into Camp, a rabbit in her jaws. She padded over to the Fresh Kill pile and gently set it down before shaking out her pelt. She padded over to a sunny patch of grass, and stretched out there, purring coming from deep in her chest, her tail twitching.

Bristletail slipped unnoticed (or so she thought) into the shady clearing. Voices sounded all around her and she felt a lonely chill run down her tortoiseshell pelt. Though it was true that she was only a young warrior, she wished to be a part of something for once.

It was strange indeed, seeing that the she-cat didn’t appear to be speaking at all, but Sloepaw shrugged quite smoothly, daintily sinking to the ground and arranging her paws to look as mature as she possibly could— Sloe wanted to be worth Cloverpaw’s time, and it was clear that she needed intellectual company. Clover was… friendly, she supposed. She was charming, and her manner was almost magnetic. What was she not to like? Her gut reaction had served her well, but there felt like there was something amiss: something she wasn’t quite catching. The blue molly didn’t know her family or other friends well, but it would simply be quite rude to make assumptions and potentially insult someone quite important to the tabby just to serve her own ends.
Quirking her head and flicking an ear, she heard the smoothness of Cloverpaw’s tone and the somewhat artificial warmth it held. Something was afoot, but Sloe knew it wasn’t malicious. It simply couldn’t be: perhaps she was being too trusting, too open, but one look at the way the sunlight brightened her eyes weakened her resolve. Sloepaw hadn’t met with her mentor that morning, and there seemed to be nothing to do in the moons approaching her assessment aside from refining technique and hunting, which was to say, literally more of nothing.
Returning Clover’s strained smile with an effortless one of her own, Sloe silently cursed her social ineptitude, fumbling for a reply. “A-am I intruding or something? I’m sorry, b-but, I don’t quite know how to respond.” Tittering, she looked away, close but feeling so very far. “It’s probably rude of me to just strut in like this, and I may be interrupting your train of thought, but.. I don’t really have anything to busy myself, and…”
She was rambling, and it was stupid, but she had trailed off and maybe, just maybe, that would make things easier for the other she-cat.

The brown tabby smiled as she noticed the molly shift and change her position to seem more intelligent, which she found amusing. She took notice of the molly's politeness and sweetness, no matter how serious she wished to be, no matter how much she wished to hide it behind an unmelodic tune. Sometimes she found herself calming as her companion spoke, even though she tended to stutter and the fact that her low self esteem caused the other to squeak at times she found Sloepaw's calming, soothing her nerves whenever she was angry or stressed. The apprentice copied her companions shift in position, elegantly placing her left paw over her right and slowly placed her tail next to her back legs. Cloverpaw replaced her smile with an inquisitive gaze, her amber optics gleamed, she couldn't put her paw on it but something clicked in the back of the tabby's mind, something began to work. Ideas began to turn and churn within her mind, various different plots came into view, it only took her a few seconds to pick the one she liked the most. Once she decided what path she was going to take she leaned forward so that her muzzle was almost touching the blue apprentice's own, although she was positive that it would make her companion uncomftrable she didn't move "Oh no, you're quite alright, In fact I would say that you have impeccable timing." she stated.

Cloverpaw leaned back and made herself comftrable once more, her paws tucked neatly beneath her chest, almost the very image of class. It was time to get a second vote, a second opinion of just how mad her brothers plan was. "My siblings have made a little game for the four of us, the point of this game is to see which one of us gets the most...hm..followers, per say." she began "Now of course this seems idiotic, but of course I'm the only one so far who has not begun this silly game, and I want your opinion, should I take part in this little emberassment of entertainment?" she asked, nothing sweet and kind escaped from her words, she really didn't care for this whatsoever, it was stupid and a waste of her time. But, if the molly sitting infront of her said that it should be done, then she would do the deed. This was mainly a test to see if she could truly be friends with Sloepaw, or if she'd just be another pawn, she couldn't become friends with one who has no backbone, she wouldn't be able to stand it.

Cloverpaw’s scrutiny was not something Sloepaw was new to, but the feeling of being inspected, assessed was.. foreign. Those ochre eyes of hers bored into the silver-blue molly’s pelt, laying her bare, and yet… she attempted to cooly return the molly’s gaze with certainty, succeeding somewhat. Sloepaw would not stand down from things she was used to, after all. She simply would not.
However, proximity was more than enough to break her. The soft feeling of the tabby’s breathing close to her sent her fur a-prickling, and she despised it. She wouldn’t be weak, she wouldn’t let her know what was on her mind: it was just a fluke; only a fluke. Attention was something Sloepaw was starved for— the fact that Cloverpaw’s charisma and looks drew her close was quite enough, but at this distance, she could truly see all that she wanted to, and it was pretty… astounding.
Still, almost as if she was a mouse at striking distance, Sloepaw listened to what she had to say, unmoving. Of course she still wanted her here. If it was meant to be one of her games, Sloe couldn’t care less: she was there, she didn’t want Cloverpaw to move.
The she-cat didn’t get what she wanted, though. As the tabby shifted away, the tension in her shoulders subsided, and she flicked her ear, indicating the fact that she was still very much enraptured by every controlled syllable, each considered word in the she-cat’s voice. Followers, eh? Why would she ask me, of all cats? Pausing in her thoughts, mulling over what she was about to say, Sloepaw twitched before speaking. “Objectively, it’s.. pointless, unless you have p-plans, I guess. I’d do it p-purely to, you know, uh. Amass a good amount of trustworthy c-cats if you wanna. Go places in Thunderclan. Power and influence and all that jazz? Idunno, Cloverpaw…” She stopped there, grooming a paw before continuing. “If you wanna play the game, win. Don’t try if you don’t want it, right?”

She dipped her head, motioning for the apprentice to go after the squirrel.

Nettlepaw got into a hunting crouch and began slowly stalking her prey. Her hind quarters and tail slightly touched the ground by four inches to not stir up any leaves. Once she got closer she jumped, landing on top of the squirrel. The apprentice killed it with a swift bite to the neck. "Got it!" she yowled.

Sablekit nodded her head as the kitten responded, stepping out of the other kit's space because she figured that it was rude not to do so. She blinked as Foxkit jumped to her paws excitedly, almost jumping a little from the sudden action. However, it did the trick in exciting Sablekit a little as well, the feeling being infectious in the brown and white kitten. "Yeah, I guess it is!" She meowed, giggling at the ginger she-kit. "Though, I'm glad I didn't hurt you. Usually I'm a bit more graceful when making new friends or asking people to talk." The kitten took a moment to survey the cat in front of her, noting characteristics that she could use to remember the she-cat's name. Sable was usually really good at knowing names once they were told to her and she interacted with them, all do to that carefulness. "I'm Sablekit," She replied easily, her chest rumbling in a loud purr. "It's surprising we haven't talked before this, you know? I've seen you around the nursery like a billion times! I think you may be a bit older than me, though." She shifted her weight, her lips curving up into an easy smile that brightened her blue eyes. "I'm only 4 moons, and you've gotta be close to 6 by now, right?" It was a guess, so Sablekit wouldn't be too mad if she hadn't gotten that correct.

Hazelstorm padded around, glancing around at her and gazing up at the cloudy sky where a bird freely flew. The golden-brown cat twitched her whiskers. The newleaf air was heavier than usual - ever so slightly reminding her of the horrible greenleaf season to come.
She had only been out for a small walk but she found her stomach to be growling already. Hazelstorm ignored it and carried on pawing at a fly that was dancing in between the thin blades of grass nearby.

Alderstripe sat in a far corner of the clearing, everything had been quite hard without Violeteye, the she-cat that had always been with him, he had even trained her and now, she was gone, no news, it had been moons and he needed to move on, he knew it.

Gazing around camp, someone quickly caught his attention, a she-cat, he quickly realised who it was and started padding closer to her, he easily made out who it was due to the color of her fur. "Hey, Hazelstorm." The brown tabby mewed softly, taking a seat beside her, his tail wrapped around his paws.

"I feel like I haven't seen you for a whi-" She stopped. From the soft looking tom's face, she could tell that something was wrong. Hazel storm sighed.
"It's Violeteye, isn't it? I miss her too," she quietly meowed as her gaze shifted to her paws. "I'm so sorry. She was like family to you, wasn't she?" Hazelstorm gave another sigh, deep with sorrow.

As Hazelstorm said his name, he gave a small smile, though, when she spoke about Violeteye, his heart sunk, he had really grown close to the she-cat, they even had kits now... And even then, they never really came to see him, he never knew why, after all, most of them had grown close to him, he had always given them the attention they deserved, he even suffered for them, he now had a missing eye and a huge scar over his nose from previous battles, he approached the she-cat before burying his muzzle in her fur, even if he hated to admit it, she shared some similarities to his previous mate, like her scent, he could honestly breathe in it all day long, just like he could with Violet, shutting his blue eye and simply staying close to her. "She was my mate..." He said sadly.

Hazelstorm shut her eyes tightly and was reminded of all the images of Alderstripe, a younger Alderstripe and a happier one, with Violeteye. She couldn't even start to imagine how hard it would be to recover from such events; even his kits being torn away from him.
As the she-cat found the Tom closer to her, she gave a reassuring smile. "Things will get better, I'm sure," she softly purred. Hazelstorm found that she hadn't noticed Alderstripe that much before in the clan. Her friends had been pushing her in the way of the more so called 'handsome' toms, but in reality, Hazelstorm wasn't interested - but she sensed something deep inside Alderstripe that... that she loved. Violeteye came back in, her fur matted, her claws painted with red blood. The tiny black cat struggled to lay down as she closed her eyes and took a shakey breath. The Evil Era had been terrible and she, like the coward she was, had run with her kits, fearing for her life and leaving him behind. Her heart was pounding. She was a coward, thinking she could be safe at the Twolegplace. Shs'd lost her kits to deceit and kitnapping along the way. At least Alderstripe was here.....unless....no. She refused to believe that he hadnt survived. She squinted her eyes and focused on Alderstripe who was currently burrying his face in some she cat's fur. Alderstripe still had his face buried in Hazelstorm's fur, sighing, though, he hated to admit that breaking his promise was one of the worst things he would've done in his life, his blue eye shut tightly, though, as he finally sniffed the air one more time, as to hold himself back from crying, something quickly found its way to his nostrils, his head jerked up and he looked around only to spot this recognisable black and white she-cat, he sprung up to his paws and darted in her direction, eye wide open as he suddently rolled with her, purring as he finally breathed in her wonderful scent. "Violeteye... I-I thought you were dead..." He said and finally started crying, holding her close, now she was back here, back with him... "You don't know how much I cried you... I much I lamented your absence... I thought you weren't gonna come back." He sobbed, licking the top of her head and he sure wasn't gonna stop.

She nosed him away a little bit from her. "Careful..." She mewed and licked his face, stopping in mid-lick to gaze at his one blind, pale eye. "What hapenned to you?" She said stopping as she put a paw down on his nose so she could see his eye better and sniffed it.

Hazelstorm, confused, decided to slowly step away from the two lovebirds' (or two lovecats, rather) special event. She knew better than to interfere with something so important to both of them. After padding away, the she-cat immediately regretted not at least greeting Violeteye. Hazelstrom could've welcomed her back! Oh well, too late now, she thought as she made her way to the warriors' den, the newleaf breeze catching on her fur.

Embarrassed, Hazelstorm mewed a quick 'sorry' and curled up next to Blackstripe. For StarClan's sake! How long had he been sleeping? It looked like the Tom had just woken up form a hibernation. "Well," the she-cat started, then laughed. "I'm not sure if I can explain the whole thing that happened." Hazelstorm chuckled. "But Alderstripe was super sweet to me, then Violeteye came back, and things got awkward so I left them to it." The she-cat nuzzled Blackstripe's fur.
Blackstripe chuckled as she apologized, she didn't have to, they all made mistakes sometimes, so it was perfectly normal for things like this to happen around, and the den's entrance wasn't really this big either. "Heh, those two are together since Violeteye was a mere apprentice, they always were there for the other, and honestly, a relation as long as theirs is hard to keep today." The tabby mewed, laying down beside her and smiling, curling up around the she-cat and nuzzling her fur back in return, he didn't know why, but being with her was already pretty nice, considering he was normally grumpy whenever he woke up.

Violeteye whimpered and placed her aws over her head, setting her head back down. "No...." she whimpered, trembling as silent tears ran down her cheeks. There was no room for tears, nor energy as grief poured into her heart. Her only kin left now were her stepbrother and father. (Sorry short. I have to go now)
Alderstripe licked his mate's fur comfortingly. "Well, both Rowan and Clawed are still here, Comet too." He mewed, gazing down at her, he then found himself staring at the apprentice's den. "Oh... You also missed Rowankit's ceremony, he's now Rowanpaw." The warrior added, he had seen the small, playful tom grow a lot more mature, the small tom had also really missed Violeteye, he remembered playing with her when he was a kit. The tom then continued cleaning his mate's fur to make her look as beautiful as ever.

"But... nobody really loved me and everyone sort of ignored me. All the popular toms brushed me away and even my family despised me." The she-cat's eyes closed as she pulled out the memories that were so painful to remember. "But everything is fine now!" she added quickly before the Tom could answer.

Violeteye nodded numbly and snuggled against the larger cat, purring weakly as she rested her chin on his back, tail flicking back and forth contently. "And what has hapenned to Holly and her new mate?" She whimpered, not really wanting to know what had hapenned to her former mentor. "Alderstripe....Im sorry..., she whispered hoarsely, knowing that woud never make up for the pain that she had caused him for moons.

As he heard the she-cat talk about how she wanted kits, he definitively could relate to her, after all, he did want kits too, but just never really talked about it, but he always found himself hanging around the nursery to see the kits and play with them. "I actually want kits too." He admitted, ears flattening as he listened to how she said that no one ever loved her, but when they were still apprentices, he had always had a crush on her, giving a smile, he spun her head towards him and pressed his muzzle against hers, purring.

Hazelstorm purred and nudged Blackstripe back. "Kits are lovely, aren't they? They all have their own personalities." She felt her face glowing a soft rose colour. The she-cat had always been tangled in her own problems with her family - never had she thought much of the quiet, introverted Tom, who was somewhat mysterious. Hazelstorm remembered that their mentors had been close friends which had made them meet many times - but she never really, well, noticed it happening. But now she knew.

(Sorry, here it is ;w; )

Badgerpaw let out a sigh of annoyance as she shifted through the stale, soiled moss, a grimace on her face as her nose wrinkled in disgust. Taking care to make sure the soiled moss didn't touch her, she tossed another piece onto the pile. The new apprentice was finding that her new found responsibilities weren't as exciting as she had hoped. In fact, since her mentor had yet to bring her out training or hunting, Badgerpaw had been confined to tedious chores, such as cleaning out the elders den and nursery. Someone had to do it, but the young cat definitely wished it wasn't her that had to. Why can't the kits do it? They do nothing but whine and sleep all day! The idea of providing for the clan hadn't quite set in yet. It made her bitter and grumpy, not to mention, the other apprentice that had been helping her, What was her name, Lizardpaw?, kept staring at all the moss pieces way too long. What's her problem anyway? Tossing another piece of stale moss into the growing pile in between the two apprentices, Badgerpaw stomped her front paw against the floor of the den and hissed in annoyance, scraping her nails through the loose dirt.

"This is pointless!" Her ears slid back against her head as her tail lashed wildly about. Standing quickly, the molly paced back and forth near the front of the den. She could be doing so much more! She could be useful! I could be out hunting for the clan or defending the borders from intruders! Badgerpaw, in a huff, planted herself back down in her previous spot and began to furiously sort through the moss again. Her pelt was burning with anger and her eyes were blurring through agitated tears. She felt absolutely useless. Again, Badgerpaw hadn't warmed up to the idea of providing services other than fighting and hunting. All at once, the apprentice shot a dangerous glare at the other.

"Can you go any faster?!" Her voice squeaked with the last word, as she stopped and turned to face Lizardpaw. She wasn't actually angry at her, but rather annoyed that they had been sitting here all afternoon and Badgerpaw felt that she had sorted through more than half of the den by herself.

Hazelstorm gasped with excitement, and soon after shyly glanced at the handsome Tom, their eyes meeting. "Blackstripe," the she-cat smiled, trying to contain her joy, "Blackstripe... I would love to have kits with you." Hazelstorm gave the gray tabby a nuzzle and snuggled closer to him, purring louder than ever now. This was a whole new perspective; Hazelstorm knew there was a loving side to the seemingly cold cat. I wonder why my friends didn't name him as one of the more 'handsome' cats, the golden-brown angora pondered. I guess they had no idea that I already had been loving him for a while. "I have to admit, Blackstripe..." Hazelstorm meowed softly. "I always knew you were like this - kind and lovely, like any Tom any she-cat would love. I never believed those things all my friends said." She wanted to hold on until she finally said the special line confessing her love. She wanted this moment to last forever.

Blackstripe's gaze never left Hazelstorm's as he intently listened to what the she-cat had to say, though, as soon as she answered the question if they could have kits, his eyes widened and he held her closer to him, he licked the top of her head. "And, I like the fact that, compared to all these other she-cats, you're different, in a good way that is." He mewed, running his long, feathery tail along her back, normally, he was cold, except with kits, but now, there he was, cuddling with the she-cat.

"Sablekit..." Foxkit murmured, trying to implant the name in her head. She wanted to remember this fellow kit's name, she barely could remember any names. The only names she remembered were those of her siblings, her mother, that one warrior Snowyclaw, and her father's name, which she did not want to remember. "And yeah, it is surprising we haven't talked, I've seen you around too!" At her next question, Foxkit laughed a little. 'Well, I'm not six moons yet. I just turned 5 moons. But I'm getting closer!" Foxkit crouched on the ground, waving her tail in the air. "Although I'm practically ready to become an apprentice, so...." Foxkit remebered her conversation with Snowyclaw, how he said there were rules about kits for a reason. Since then, Foxkit had calmed down a little, and not been so annoying to the other warriors, but she still couldn't wait to become an apprentice.

What is that? Something, a differently hued, smooth thing, sat half under the moss. A bright stone? A dim flower? Or maybe just a scrap of long-abandoned fresh-kill? It was all the same color, wasn't it? Sighing, the tabby apprentice finally dragged her eyes from it, extending a paw to lift some of the soiled moss. Yuck. Suddenly, she jumped, dropping her pawful which she had been trying to collect, at the exclamation from behind her. "Of course it is, but it is our job." Turning back to her work, Lizard began recollecting her moss, when the other apprentice spoke again. Freezing, the apprentice rigidly turned her head. Why couldn't she go faster?
The apprentice's eyes glanced mournfully at the sameness of the ground. "...No."

Surprised by the others immediate and somewhat disheartening comment, Badgerpaw quietly resumed her task of picking through the moss. An uncomfortable silence fell on the apprentice, making her pelt burn with even more embarrassment than previously. She felt bad for her outburst but dear Starclan, she was going so slowly! After a moment of hesitation, Badgerpaw dropped her paw, a bit of moss dangling from her claw. That was rude of her, she didn't want to be known as the snappy apprentice... just because she was stuck doing menial tasks such as this. I guess it would be better to appreciate the company... Her ears fell flat against her head as she turned back to look at Lizardpaw.

"I'm sorry.. I didn't mean that." She paused for a second, waiting to see if the other said something before she quickly chimed in. "Do you want some help?"

Whiskers drooped, Liz had resumed her task, sifting through the moss, deciding visible texture was easier than color, but not by much. The other apprentice's voice was hardly cause to bat an eye; apologies often meant less than they were supposed to. But the second time, Lizardpaw sighed. "If you wanna help, I'm not gonna stop you. And you did mean that, even if it wasn't meant to be offensive, Badgerpaw." Biting her tongue, she went back to work, back turned to the other feline with her whiskers in the same drooping state. She knew that Badger was going to, like so many others, decide not to help for the sparing of her own dignity, so typical of cats that Lizard couldn't help but expect it of her.

Badger could feel her the burning hot sensation of embarrassment creep back up her pelt. Shuffling her paws close to her body, the apprentice stared at the ground, her ears falling back against her skull. It had been rude, but she hadn't meant to hurt the others feelings. Badgerpaw didn't want to be know as the crabby apprentice by everyone just because she was in a bad mood. It would hopefully change once she was actually able to do things, but even now Badger had made zero friends since she was appointed as an apprentice. It had been lonely and with the disappointment of being confined to camp, it just her attitude worse. But that's no excuse... Badgerpaw quickly rose to her paws and shuffled her way over to the other apprentice. In a huff, she sat down next to Lizardpaw, keeping her eyes adverted and focused on the moss at Liz's paws.

"I was serious. What do you need help with, Lizardpaw?" Badgerpaw finally glanced up at Lizardpaw, her eyes locked on the other. She was serious, as she wanted to get this chore done as quickly as possible, but also because she did feel bad about her comment. She was also slightly concerned to why it was taking the other moons to figure out how to sort the moss.

The Eye Of The Storm
Spirit

Raincloud stares. The five squirming kits by her belly. The ones she never wanted. Things she would have dropped with Romeo or onyx in a heartbeat. Both toms abandon her within a blink of their eye leaving her no choice but to return with them. She rembered how excited wheatfur had been. How tenderly he had inspected and how careful he had been when she brought them into the world. At that point life had seemed so invaluable to her, so small and insignificant. It would only take a mere mistake and they wouldn't be her problem. Alas looking into their little blind eyes she had found a hope flicker in her chest and die out a moment later. It would only require a memers mistake to rid of them, only a slight trip or just a drop. It took so little effort, And yet she stopped short of herself. Maybe it was the hope she had felt, perhaps it was for her brother wheatfur, or maybe even for Onyx and Romeo. She wasn't sure what it had been that stopped her. Maybe it was the kits themselves.
The queen blinked back into reality looking at the two month old bundle. All suckling camly. Squirming and fighting for a shot at dinner. For a moment she purred feeling them next to her, feeling the warmth even what felt like love wafting off of them. Since than she fought her own silent battle with no one to back her up. The rest of the queens had silently drawn away. Glaring at her kits with such eyes of dis-trust and hatred. It made her secretly broil. Broil over with returned hatred. Wheatfur was always busy, lording over her kits when he found the time to visit. Not that he didn't care. He was just... scatter brained.
With no help she had dipped in and out of depression, contemplating killing her kits or dropping them in the territory. Only to be turned back by something. Something like a feeling of starclans overwhelming presence. It gave a her kits a new sense of worth. To her at least.

The apprentice flicked her ear and gave her companion an elegant smile. She loved the fact that the other apprentice was intelligent enough to realize that she was testing her, playing with her,
everyone around her was a pawn, and could easily be discarded. Her amber orbs flickered with amusement and curiosity, maybe she chose a good pawn for once, one that actually had the brains to understand what's going on around them. The molly licked her maw and began to look around the clearing, trying to pick out an array of different pawns to control. Of course her...gang, had to be even in mouse-brained cats and in intelligent cats,
stupid ones for labor and smarter ones for plots. Yes, yes, all she needed was a little push, although she didn't like doing the work she did like to win, winning was something she could boast about to her idiot brother. The thought pleased Cloverpaw, but the statement about power didn't she wasn't like her brother, she didn't care about becoming leader, no, she could have all the power of a leader right this moment if she wished to, it wasn't that hard. She focused he sharp optics on Sloepaw "Although I don't care about power, I do like the thought of winning." she stated "So it shall be done, and you shall be my first recruit, second in charge if I may, and i'm sorry love but I am not taking no for an answer." she said matter-of-factly as she looked at the other molly through her lashes, her amber orbs gleamed beneath. And so it begins.

Vireokit trotted back into the nursery, a smug grin on his face. He was coming back from a trip to visit the apprentices. In his trip he had successfully convinced the she cat apprentice that there was a large welt on the back of her head, just behind her ear out of sight. When she had run off to find some water to see for herself, the trickster decoded it was time to come back. Hopefully the feline wouldn't remember him and just be mad, by tomorrow she would hopefully forget about him. The little devilish orange and gray mottled tom strode confidently over to the best where his two sisters and mither lay. Maybe one would wake up soon. He was always ready for more trouble.

Cherrykit, still groggy from her nap, blinked open her gray eyes. Her jaws gasped in an enormous yawn, and she borrowed in her sister and mother's fur. She heard pawsteps only heartbeats later, and she lifted her chin to see her brother, Vierokit, looking at her and the others. She paused for a moment, wanting a few more minutes of sleep, but quickly reminded herself-
Warriors don't need much sleep!
Careful not to wake up her mother or sister, she slipped out from the pack and stood up to face Vierokit.
"Hey?" She mewed, half-greeting and half-questioning. She remembered before she'd taken her nap, when she'd snuck out and attempted to train with the apprentices. She was still exhausted from getting punished, but seeing the territory was worth it.
Attempting to shake her drowsiness out, she straightened her posture and shook out her fur. With a stretch, she continued her unfinished sentence.
"Wanna do something?"

Blackstorm made his way into the clearing, inhaling the familiar scent. Cats, fresh-kill, moss, the faint scent of herbs from the medicine den. It almost made him smile. Almost. Glancing back, the Tom had to make sure Alderscreech was following him still. Oh, how he wished he didnt have to do this! Why couldnt the Clans work in peace? Why did there have to be bloodshed? Funny coming from someone who killed his own father. Blackstorm growled under his breath, shaking his head before clearing his throat. "Snowstar's den is that way." He angled his ears toward the leader's den, giving Alderscreech an almost blank look. He didnt want to show how much he hated this. Blackstorm didnt know what his leader intended to do with the WindClan cat, but judging by the furious look on her face when she spoke to him, gave him his orders, it would not be kind.

The old warrior grinned warmly at his son, he could never be more proud than he was right then. Still, he couldn't see Leafwatcher as anyone more than his kit, no matter how independent and strong of a warrior he was, he was still his little kit.

"I noticed Remorapaw carrying around a little pebble, ain't that sweet? You're really rubbing off on them, in a good way of course," Shredfern commented, nodding over to the apprentices' den in reference to the young cat. Leafwatcher was a good cat, not just a good warrior, and in some aspects, he reminded him a lot of himself, which was understandable. Like father like son.

Then he noticed the flash in his son's eyes, "Hey, what's that look for?" He asked with playful concern, "I'm not that old, am I?" Ironically, he broke out in a fit of coughs, his old lungs simply not up to his usual talkative state. A moment later, he settled, and he looked back at his son with a grin, "Don't think I'm going to the elder's den just yet, Leafki-- Leafwatcher, sorry. I'll still be around to lecture your ears off," And he laughed, a raspy old laugh that still had his old charm to it, just as when he was a young warrior like Leafwatcher. If one looked closely, though, a flash of fear and sadness sprinted across his copper eyes like a ghost, first there, then gone, it was hard to tell if it was real.

She gave a snort, tail lashing as she looked toward the black tom. "And you expect me to just waltz in her den just like that? Is she expecting me or something? Oh I don't think she'd appreciate me barging in their anyways!" Alderscreech snapped sarcastically, tail lashing behind her as she looked around the camp with a small glare, but a thoughtful look, more on getting back home than anything else. One step, get out here one way or another, get back to WindClan, and make sure to tell Blazingstar about ThunderClan's prisoner happy tendencies.

Leafwatcher blinked at his father's comment, a calm, but shocked expression on his face, and it was slightly filled with a slight surprise in his green optics, or maybe not all that surprised, maybe. "Really?" He replied, a slightly distant and thoughtful tone in his face. He never really knew or noticed. They were rather close, so it really wasn't much of a surprise all too much, for the brown bengal tabby. He didn't reply about him being old, he didn't really want to believe or think about it. Now right at that moment, anyway... Leafwatcher blinked when he coughed, a concern look in his eyes. "You okay..?" He asked, concern deep in his voice. His father was that old, and that...scared him. Leafwatcher didn't want to loose his father, he already lost his mother, Ashstream, and his older brother, Grasspaw, well...Grasstuft, he didn't want his father gone too. He didn't want him to leave to StarClan ever really, but it probably would happen anyways, every cat died, it was part of life. But right now, he just wanted to spend time with his father, for he probably won't have much time for it any other day. He'd be too busy, anyways.
"Its fine, dad, I don't mind it all that much, so don't you worry about it..." He replied, tail twitching. "I'm sure you will..." Leafwatcher chuckled, but concern still flickered in his gaze, and sadness too, maybe just a little smudge of sadness. Leafwatcher sure as heck didn't want to lose his dad just yet, or too soon, then he wouldn't...he didn't want to think about it too deeply. If he did, he would be scared for his father, and that wouldn't be any good. He still could talk to him, and Grasstuft, well Grasstuft in his dreams, even if it was...

Snowfall sighed. 'What a goofball,' she mused to herself. So, she just waited right by the tom, laying on her side, impatient.

When he woke, Sprucefur sensed Snowfall next to him. Feeling slightly uncomfortable (but only slightly), he stood and stretched. After giving his fur a quick groom, he stood. "Well? What are you waiting for? Let's go!" Sprucefur meowed, his playful side showing. He dashed out of camp and to the beech tree, one of his favorite spots.

Because of how clumsy the she-cat was, Snowfall unknowingly tripped on a tree root and sort of did a running-flip kind of thing a few fox-lengths away from the beech tree, but she landed straight on her back. "Oof!"

Wheatfur looked at the small kit. It had a been a few days since the tom had found Runt in the territory, and e was still unconscious. Apart from that, he seemed to be getting better. He had imediatly notified Snowstar, and the kit was allowed to stay. e smiled, the small kit would finally have some support, then it would be up to them whether they would like to stay in Thunderclan, or leave to become a kitty pet. He nudged the small kit with his paw, seeing if he would wake up. "Hello little one," He mewed as he watched the kit, "Had a nice sleep?" He was standing a tail length back, not wanting to intimidate the small thing. He watched carefully, making notes in his mind about Runts behaviour.

The small, black kitten had not spoken a word since he was found in the territory. He simply did not dare. He had responded with nods and sounds, grumbles and such, instead. As he was nudged awake, his head shot straight up, his face having a momentarily look of panic before he noticed that he were safe and didn't have to jump up and run like he used to.
Peering up at Wheatfur, he tilted his head lightly. It used to be his Papa that woke him up every morning, but now his family had left him behind. Would he ever find a new Papa who could take care of him and wake him? It felt weird being woken in a calm way, especially by some one entirely else.
Nodding to the question asked, the young kit peered around. He had been sleeping a lot since he came here, and hadn't really taken his time to actually look around and see where he were. This place had the calming smell of herbs. Runt himself loved to spend time with herbs and nature, so the smell made him calm down a little. And yet he were still in a bit of panic.
Why was he brought here? What were they going to do to him? Would he have to move on? That last thought stuck with him for a minute. Did he -want- to move on? Wheatfur was nice. And maybe the other cats around here was as well? Time would show.

Brightkit stretched out of the nursery. Her Golden brown fur ruffled in the wind.
Brightkit jumped on a stray piece of moss, flinging it back to the nursery.
Her claws returned into her paws, just in time for her to snatch a leaf out of the air. She crumpled it with one paw, flinging it up with the next as it rained down in tiny pieces. Brightkit walked to the fresh-kill pile and back to the nursery.
She felt bored, and she was bored.
The kit sighed, pawing a pebble as she looked around.

The orange and gray mottled kit was padding out, just a little ways behind the golden brown she kit. He padded along silently, so she probably didn't know he was there. As she flung the piece of moss back, it was flung into his face, hitting him on the bridge of his nose. He stopped in his tracks, shaking it off. His pale Aqua hues landed on the feline in front of him, carrying on as happy as ever, not even knowing that she had hit him. He released a soft growl as he lashed his tail, padding past her. "Kits not paying attention to what they're doing..." He grumbled, just loud enough for her to hear.

Snowstar made her way into the den, glancing around curiously. Snowstar hadnt really come into the medicine den much - Well besides after the liberation, she would come in to see what she could do to help since her wounds werent serious enough to be concerned about. The scent of herbs flooded her nose, and she blinked faintly, nose twitching faintly. The Siamese took a deep breath and straightened, shaking her head to clear her thoughts and looking over toward Wheatfur. She managed a smile at her former mentor despite the irritation that still gnawed at her. But she couldnt just be frustrated for no apparent reason, right?

Snowstar turned her gaze on the tiny black kit and was reminded of why she had come in the first place, to check on the new rogue kitten. A gentle smile twitched at her lips as she took a few steps forward and sat down, looking at the kit with interest. "Hello there, little one," She mewed softly, shifting into a more comfortable position. "Welcome to ThunderClan. Can you tell me your name?"

Snowsong giggled, rolling her eyes playfully at his words. She knew he was only joking; That was how Stormstrike was. "Im not? Well then, I guess you just love me for my personality. I can live with that." She smirked, flicking her tail tip softly over his ear. She mostly loved how even after they had confessed their love to eachother, it had been all too easy to return to playing and goofing around as they always did. They'd been together all their lives so...It wasnt even that hard.

At his next words, Snowsong felt her fur beginning to heat up, and a small smile twitched at her lips. "Aww, arent you sweet." She chuckled, nosing his cheek gently as she grinned. "I bet he's also jealous that you're way more good looking than he is." She laughed softly, smiling at the Tom. He definitely was good looking, in Snowsong's opinion. But she more preferred who he was on the inside, thats what mattered. His looks were definitely a bonus though. As he laughed at her joke, Snowsong chuckled as well, amusement glittering in her ice blue hues. "Certainly. Just watch out, his son Stick. Jr. might come after you for revenge!" She teased, letting out a mrrow of laughter.

"Well it certainly was a brave thing to do." Snowsong smirked, nudging her shoulder against her mates with a chuckle. "Obviously for a while! He's been after you since we were kits." Snowsong had to laugh at the memories of the two, Snowsong always being there to help him to his paws after he fell down even when they were so little. The thought made her smile softly. They were always best friends, from the moment they could see eachother to right now. That was the way it would always be, right? "Well we were heading over to the shade to eat that delicious...Plump...Squirrel.." Snowsong licked her lips mockingly, eyeing the squirrel in Stormstrike's jaws before giggling and smiling at her mate. "So, shall we?"[/CENTER]

Stormstrike could always be grateful that his mate had a great sense of humour and didn’t get offended easily with any kind of teasing insult he had to say. They were jokesters and had been teasing each other for all of their life. Why change now? The stormy pelted tom’s life was great and he would love to keep it the way he was. It was as perfect as it could become in his opinion. “Well of course, what’s on the inside is all that matters, but the outside can always be a bonus,” Stormstrike purred, nuzzling her softly.

As Snowsong replied, he could feel his own fur heating up. Even if they were mates now, that still didn’t change the fact that any compliment from her could make his heart flutter and fur heat up. That was something that would probably never change, but he would just have to put up with it like he had in the many moons before now. With her next words, Stormstrike felt as though his fur could burn off at any moment. His pale blue gaze flickered to the soft grass below in embarrassment before he returned it to look back into the beautiful orbs of Snowsong. Deciding he better response, he quickly pushed aside the fact that he heart was pounding like mad. “Who wouldn’t be jealous of my good looks?” Stormstrike replied in a sassy tone, laughing softly. “Oh no! I better run and hide before he catches me!” Stormstrike exclaimed dramatically, raising a front paw to place it against his forehead as a sign of joking distress.

“It was very hard to destroy him, considering it had taken me so long,” Stormstrike remarked, giggling in amusement. Even if he was now a full grown tom, he still had to giggle. Although the word sounded childish, that didn’t matter to the warrior. A smirk grew on his face as he remembered those old but precious memories. Tripping over all the time and becoming an embarrassed mess in front of Snowpaw. She just laughed it off and helped him recover, which always sent relief through the tom. Stormstrike knew she wouldn’t judge him and she would always help him get back up. “Oh yes, that’s right,” Stormstrike said, quickly remembering the squirrel that lay stuck between his jaws. “We shall,” he continued in a posh accent, laughing before he placed his tail across her shoulders and steered her towards the shady area.

Posey was tired. The rogue molly had recently stumbled into ThunderClan territory, and Neverwing that thoughtful young tom helped bring her kits into the nursery. She could hear him outside now, speaking to Snowstar. Posey was an old cat, about sixty moons old. It was a wonder that she was able to have four, healthy kits. The blue-eyed molly stretched out, running her tongue over the four kits huddled up next to her.

Two of her kits were already awake, their eyes barely open. She could hear their mewing as they pawed at each other. Mint, a grey female kitten with bright green eyes, and Sky, a male kitten with deep blue eyes and white fur. They were beautiful.

"She wanted me to bring you back to...Talk to her. So you coming to tell her off, or not?" His claws sunk into the ground briefly before sheathing again, and he found himself stretching up onto the tips of his paws, his jaws stretching wide into a yawn. When he finally had all four paws back onto the ground again, he shook out his fur and looked back at Alderscreech, taking a few more steps to the leaders den.
Alderscreech huffed, her tail lashing in the annoyance of this predicament, eyes narrowed. "Weelll ain't that a surprise..." She muttered sarcastically. Well, she wasn't going to run away, that was way out of the question. But still, this was irritating and annoying, and all things tiresome. So annoying... really annoying. All she had to do was get through this, and get out here, for her son Blazingstar, for her family. She was proud of him, and he hoped that he knew that. "Talk huh......?" Alderscreech snapped angrily, as she angrily came over to the tree loving den of a maniac leader. Well wasn't that a pleasant site, wasn't it? It was soooo GREAT. The WindClan she cat thought sarcastically, tail lashing as she got closer to the leader's den, a scowl, and an angry, and annoyed look in her optics as she slid inside.

The apprentice flicked her ear and gave her companion an elegant smile. She loved the fact that the other apprentice was intelligent enough to realize that she was testing her, playing with her: everyone around her was a pawn, and could easily be discarded. Her amber orbs flickered with amusement and curiosity, maybe she chose a good pawn for once, one that actually had the brains to understand what's going on around them. The molly licked her maw and began to look around the clearing, trying to pick out an array of different pawns to control. Of course her...gang, had to be even in mouse-brained cats and in intelligent cats, stupid ones for labor and smarter ones for plots. Yes, yes, all she needed was a little push, although she didn't like doing the work she did like to win, winning was something she could boast about to her idiot brother. The thought pleased Cloverpaw, but the statement about power didn't. She wasn't like her brother, she didn't care about becoming leader, no, she could have all the power of a leader right this moment if she wished to, it wasn't that hard.

Oh, her grin. Sloepaw could now easily stop herself from the reaction she impulsively thought of deep within-- the serious, more businesslike matters the pair were discussing had the molly more focused than she would usually care to be. Clear blue oculars met her ‘companion’s’ more.. Humorous-looking ones, and she raised a brow ever so slightly, before veering back to her ways, barely containing a shudder from the raw intellectual power that simply sat so very close to her. By choice! It was pretty strange for a molly like Sloe, and she finally settled for giving Cloverpaw a rare, shy smile of her own.
Her timing, however, was not the best. The tabby had moved on to more worthwhile tasks, and Sloepaw could practically see the thoughts swooping and diving through the larger molly’s mind like swallows. Suddenly, she was spoken to again: it wasn’t a fluke, and Cloverpaw’s words seemed fruitful: this was the beginning what could be a great partnership. But again, her heart fluttered at the pet name, the look she was being treated to. Flustered, she mumbled, “I wouldn’t have said no either way, but u-uhm,” Searching for something to say, something that would show she was humbled and willing, but not submissive, Sloepaw simply returned the demand (request?) with a nod. “I’ll help as best I can.”

"Blackstorm!" Neverwing's voice called out meekly, and the tom ran in to the clearing with a hare in his jaws. His fur fluffed up shyly as he skidded to a stop beside Blackstorm, placing the hare in front of him. "I, um... I caught this rabbit for you." His ears flicked back nervously, and he could feel his fur warm up. Oh why did he have to be so in love with Blackstorm?
Blackstorm rolled his eyes as she spoke, giving a lash of his black tail. "Actually she is waiting for you. Snowfall jumped back up as if nothing happened. The she-cat suddenly snickered at his words. "So," she began, "you actually... care for me?"

(Saaaaaammmmme! *cough cough* I think I caught myself a cold for no reason whatsoever. :handflapper:)

Sprucefur flicked his tail. "All I'm saying is that the clan can't afford to lose good warriors. Now come on," he added, trying to change the subject. "Let's hunt."

Snowfall flicked her ears, showing that she had his word. "All right," she concluded.

The feline couldn't pick anything up nearby. 'Must have scared everything away,' she decided. So, she trudged a little deeper into the thicker forest. Her back slightly ached as she padded along, but she pushed it away, believing it was simply a minor thing. Taking in the scents around her, she pinpointed a squirrel not far away. Eyes glazing over for a short moment, she recalled the time they kind of ran into each other with the "squirrel incident." Almost giggling, she made her way over to her prey, readying her haunches, pricking her ears, and lowering her tail toward the undergrowth below.

:hooray:Fennelnose blinked at the tom in front of them—he actually admired them?

As the ginger Tom had questions fired at him, he shifted uncomfortably on his fluffy paws, suddenly realising that this was getting serious. What if he thinks I'm disloyal to ThunderClan?! HarmonyBlade panicked, his heart beating faster. He could hear the blood pounding in his ears and could just about feel a small bead of sweat slide down the back of his neck. "I wouldn't provoke them, that's for sure...I'd probably just ignore them all together and get on with the battle...yeah, I'd just avoid running into them in the first place then we won't have to battle at all." his voice became slightly croaky with nerves.

Shredfern coughed again, rubbing up against his son affectionately, the way a mother would her kit, "You can't just tell a parent not to worry about anything, Leafwatcher. We'll always worry, even in StarClan," He laughed, voice getting raspy. He loved his kit, and he couldn't imagine what it would be like for the poor kit to lose his father after barely knowing his mother. He'd have next to no family left. He didn't like thinking about StarClan, but he couldn't stop. Ashstream was up there, and he wanted to be with her. He knew she was always watching over him and their kit. She was motherly like that.

He sighed, "Perhaps I should go to the elders' den soon, yeah? As much as I love teaching you along after your apprenticeship, these old bones can barely lift my weight!" The old warrior laughed, only half joking. He needed to go to the elders' den. He wasn't much use to the Clan anymore, his bones too sore to hunt or fight effectively. He'd miss going out on patrols with Leafwatcher, heck, he'd miss patrols in general. But he just wasn't fit anymore, and he was getting worse by the day. No matter what Wheatfur did or said, there was simply no cure for old age.

Sighing, he sat down in his shade spot again, exhausted, "I remember being a new, fresh warrior. I was the king of the Clan, I tell you! I could fight, I could hunt, I was a pretty hot shot with the mollies," Shredfern snorted, he was anything but a hot shot with the she-cats, he was just too rowdy and wild and mouse-brained for them to really care for. Well, until Leafwatcher's mother, Ashstream, now that had been a surprise.

The ginger and white molly sighed, her tail flicking as she lay in her mossy nest. Her eyes flicked to a tom near her, though she knew he was irritable, she needed someone to talk with. "Bluejay.." she said softly, the cat turned to her. Like always, his eyes blazed with annoyance as he snapped "what, Swiftcry?"

There he was, enjoying the silence of the warriors den without apprentices or kits pestering him, leaving him alone for once. "What, Swiftcry?" He snapped, Bluejay was unable to deny he was irritable and the molly didn't help that.

"Well... what would you do if you were upset with a good friend?" She asked, ears flattened against her head as she gazed at the tom.

Bluejay sighed, taking pity on her. "Well, talk first, and then give it time if that doesn't work.." he said, the molly nodded, smiled, and exited the den.

Zero to Hero

A small spotted and striped kit made his way into the elder's den. The kit entered withsome fresh-kill in hiw mouth, though he was stumbling due to his smaller size and was kind of struggling to carry it. He had just come back from being out in the clearing for a little bit. Northernkit was a shy tom and he didn't have many friends, but he did enjoy to be out in the clearing sometimes even if he didn't have anyone to play with. Though it didn't really bother him. He rarely felt alone. Even if the young kit didn't find his family, Northernkit somehow felt at peace with his new adopted father. And he loves the clan.

Though it almost felt like deja vu....

"Zerosight!" He called out, voice muffled by the fur in his mouth. "I brought some fresh-kill for us!" It had only been about a moon that Zerosight had brought Northernkit into the clan. Having a slight feeling like he knew the former medicine cat the kit quickly warmed up to him. Even though Zerosight did act cold now due to the murder of Northpath. But Northern did seem to love his adoptive father. It was like they already knew each other - he had felt a certain warmness towards Zerosight when they first met. He had been lucky to have met Zerosight before his other clan-mates. If he hadn't, than there would have been a good chance that Zerosight wouldn't be his adopted father right now and it would have been another cat. And so far, he didn't want any other cat.

It was quite unusual for a kit to live within the walls of the elders' den instead of the nursery with the other kits and queens. But Northernkit hadn't been adopted by other queens. Instead, it had been Zerosight who had found him and adopted him. He sat down as he reached the darker tom, waving his tail as he watched his blind father. Northernkit placed the squirrel on the ground between them. "Some of the older cats brought in some fresh-kill, and this was one of them - it's a squirrel," he cheerfully informed Zerosight.

Her paws were drawn neatly under her chest, her tail curled around her stomach, which had begun to grow much larger already. By now, the Siamese she-cat knew she was expecting - And she was relieved find out that was the reason for her constant, blatant frustration. And she was definitely excited, but mostly wanted it to be over with, honestly. The sooner she was back to her old self, the better. The young leader allowed a small sigh to escape her lips, shaking her head briefly.

Her gaze fixed on the entrance, more intently than before, her ears pricked up intently, hearing small voices from outside, and she could vaguely recognize the voice of her brother. Snowstar lowered her head but pushed herself into sitting position, wondering if he had done what she had asked of him. A part of her wanted to hope not, another part of her was thinking that he better have.

Alderscreech was irritated, and extremely annoyed. And bitter, bitter was another factor, and extremely furious. Mixed emotions from one side of her mind to the other. A swirl of anger, and hate for being here in the first place. The ginger tabby wasn't amused, nor happy with her situation. She probably wouldn't ever cope with it. She wanted to go home, and that was that. Simple and plain. A one sided argument. And her fury showed in her optics, shining like a flame, narrowed eyes, and a scowl across her muzzle. Alderscreech wasn't going to mess around. Then, she noticed. Huh, that's why she's like that. Alderscreech thought with a twitch of an ear. A pregnant queen had quite the temper. And Alder had quite a still good amount of temper left from hers. Funny to say, to be honest. She hadn't had kits after her second litter, Brightpaw and Scorchpaw. All her kits had grown up, and one was a leader. Quite astounding for Alderscreech. Well, it wasn't time to dilly dally on the past and all that. She had been forced to come here. The fierce WindClan she cat glared at Snowstar, waiting for her to speak first. She really wasn't in the mood for this. At all, and it shown clear as the sun on a greenleaf day, so to speak. Well, she had to get this done and over with.

Leafwatcher blinked at his father, a quite concerned expression on his face. Very concerned, worried even. Shredfern's cough was getting rather worse, and that made the tom cat worried, and concerned for his father's health. "You should-- Oh, of course parents worried, but you shouldn't worry too much!" He stumbled on his words, but at the end, it was a joke, nonetheless. His tail swished, his worried expression still on his face. Even his father's voice was raspy, which made him even more concerned than before. "It's up to you if you want to go to the elder's den or not, I'm not the one to determine that." Leafwatcher spoke softly, trying to give out the calmest expression he could muster, to hide all his concern & worry for his father. It was hard to hide it, really hard for the tom. But he did it anyways, so his father wouldn't worry to. He didn't want his father worrying about that, about him worrying. That was a complicated thing to want. Really. Leafwatcher listen to his father ramble on about elders stuff, as he called it, amusement sparking into his gaze, with a calm expression, the usual expression the bengal tabby usually had. And looking calm is what cat's usually found on his expression. That was true. He was a rather calm fellow. And wasn't usually found angry. Because he kept his anger bottled up, most of the time so it wouldn't blow. Anger for the Dusk Syndicate, anger for many, many things. That is usually way it went.

Foxkit smiled at the other kit. "Oh, it's no problem!" She then crouched on the ground, baring her teeth playfully. "Though if you had run into me, we would've had some problems." Of course the little ginger kit was joking, and she just expected the other cat to know that. "So, how old are you? Are you ready to become an apprentice? I am so ready!" Foxkit puffed out her chest, orange eyes sparkling. "I am already 4 moons! I've tried to convince my mother, and another warrior, Snowyclaw, to let me become an apprentice now, but they both said Snowstar wouldn't allow it." Oh boy, Foxkit had already started to ramble. It was hard to get her to stop talking once she began. "I said that it was mouse-brained, but no other cat seemed to believe me. I mean, come on! You need more warriors, don't you? So let me become an apprentice right now!" Foxkit dropped to a crouch, her eyes focused on a leaf floating a tail-length from her nose. She pounced, but slipped and fell right on top of the leaf. Sitting up quickly, Foxkit looked back to Treekit. "Sure, I might need a little practice..."

Treekit watched with distanced eyes. She always appeared that way and no one could quite figure it out. It wasn't anything of her concern though, she thought she was fairly normal. As Foxkit began to ramble on about becoming an apprentice, she let her mind wander to the idea. It would be different, something she'd have to get used to. Would Henry like it? Should Treekit mention that? Probably not. "I can wait. I've learned to be very patient and observe because you learn a lot more from others by watching. Besides, Hen-.... I mean my mom told me I'll be more prepared if I do it like that," she tried to cover up her mistake. She almost mentioned the name that normally got her into trouble. As Foxkit tried crouching, Treekit studied her. It appeared a bit clumsy, but it amused her and that was obvious enough. A small giggle left her body as the new kit failed at pouncing the leaf. "More like, you need a lot of practice! I can practice with you sometime. It'd be good for us both, but I can't promise I won't run into you this time," she allowed her voice to come off in a joking manner. It was the best she could do if she wanted to continue this conversation. She was desperate, in fact. So many felines find her strange and stay away from her, but Foxkit didn't seem to realize who she was and she was going to take advantage of that clean plate. Perhaps Treekit will mention Henry in future times? If she didn't accidentally mention it first.

:hooray:

During Harmonyblade’s (admittedly) nervous responses, the deputy looked on with an almost bored expression. Not quite, but Fennelnose didn’t look like they had much to say. For the moment, they were content to listen, almost pleased by how nervous their clanmate seemed to be. It was something strange they did, always examining every cat they came upon and looking as if they were staring into the very depths of their soul. Just a quirk! Fennelnose watched Harmonyblade a while longer, finally letting up on their searching gaze. “That makes sense. I don’t think I’d go out of my way to battle one of my kin, either.” Fennelnose stood, examining their acquaintance. Some had told them before that how Fennel looked at other cats tended to make them uncomfortable, but the deputy didn’t care in the slightest. A moment passed, the wind whistling past their ears, before they padded towards Harmonyblade and flicked their tail along his flank. “Lighten up, will you? You’re looking like a mouse at the paws of a cat—a bit too nervous,” they grinned. Their sudden changes of mood were… unpredictable, it seemed. “Got something to hide?”

The deputy circled around the warrior and paused at his side, settling down next to him and glancing up at the cloudy sky. A sigh rustled their whiskers, and Fennelnose was sobered within an instant, bringing the topic back to more serious things. “The tensions between ThunderClan and WindClan are a sight to behold.” They turned to gaze at Harmonyblade. Wrapping their tail around their paws, they continued. “Are your WindClan kits old enough now that you might actually meet them in one of the potential future battles?”

StarClan, I’m the deputy. I… don’t want to represent ThunderClan in battle.

Snowstar kept her gaze on the she-cat as she entered the den, easily smelling the WindClan scent wafting from her. The Siamese shifted in her nest again, already thinking of what to say. Now that she had a WindClan cat right in front of her, she honestly had no idea what to say, nor what to do. But eventually she did speak, her ice blue eyes narrowing. "Welcome to ThunderClan." The young leader said slowly, sitting back. "I hope you enjoy your stay, you'll be here for a while. My sincerest apologies." Only a hint of sarcasm tainted Snowstar's voice, and she didnt like it at all. But, this had to be done, she told herself. ThunderClan wouldnt put up with WindClan's nonsense.

Alderscreech stared at the leader, her amber optics narrowed, and she wasn't very happy. She huffed quietly, or loudly to be honest. This was so ridiculous, and that was clear to know. Very ridiculous. Her tail lashed behind her, her jaw clenched, trying to keep her anger in, and not out. This wasn't the time for yelling, or fury to spill out. Her anger could wait. "This is ridiculous you know," The ginger tabby spat, her eyes narrowed with coldness, or rather, disappointment. ", WindClan has done nothing wrong, but, you are blinded by grief, by the need of needless revenge, that isn't needed in the first place, I won't stop you, but be warned that this will have bad consequences, young one." Alderscreech stared at Snowstar, "Be glad you have some cat who understands this, and why you are doing this, be glad I have enough control to not go be to my clan, and put this all behind me, escape. Be glad I'm too old to go too far." Her tone was soft, but it had a slight coldness, but it was a dull coldness, one that a disappointed parent would give their child. "Congratulations on the kits, by the way." The WindClan she cat spoke, it was off topic, but she would at least be courteous. And then she left the den. She had enough of this for one day.

Freckleface was currently padding into the clearing, freshly back from a hunt. He was eager to get back before his friend woke up though, wanting to surprise the tom with his favorite prey that he held in his jaws. He always liked spending time with Whisperwish, wether it was simply goofing off in the territory or snugged up in the warriors den. Others may thought they were close, possibly more then friends, but to Freckle Whisper was just Whisper. Green eyes searched for his beloved friend, mewing his name muffled through prey as he searched. The two had been close from the start, and it wasnt often that he showed genuine affection that wasnt laced in a joke, so he wanted to do something nice for once.

Zerosight was dozing quietly in his nest, snoring just slightly with every breath in and out, when Northernkit padded into the elder's den. Even though the kitten made barely any noise at first, just the pawsteps of someone entering woke the old tom, a habit from his days as a medicine cat. He didn't bother to move much at first, recognizing the kit's familiar smell even above that of the squirrels fresh-kill smell. Northernkit had just been with them for about a moon, but Zerosight had actually warmed up to the little guy very quickly; which was extremely unusual to everyone else - a main reason they seemed fine with letting Zerosight be his adopted father.

He had never really wanted to be a father, especially more so after Northpath (a cat he had considered to be a son to him) was murdered saving him, but there was something about Northernkit that made him change his mind. There were moments when he sometimes regretted the decision, but then there were others that made him so very glad that this kitten had literally bumped into him that faithful day.

The tom rolled over onto his stomach with a soft groan of effort, his bone crackling a bit with the movement. His jaws parted in a large yawn, as he waited for the kitten to reach him and speak. He couldn't help his mouth from watering at the scent of prey, and was again surprised how Northernkit always seemed to just know the right times to bring him food without even being told. "I was napping," He complained anyways, even though he was actually really hungry. "But, I guess I could eat," He gave in after a few moments of breathing deeply through his nose. The former medicine cat scooted just slightly to the right in his nest, making room for the much smaller body to join him and (obviously) bring the prey with him.

Zerosight really did like the kitten, it just wasn't quite that easy for him to admit it; but honestly it did show itself sometimes... at least when he was in one of his good moods like today (though these moods could swing at any given time). He didn't say anything else even though he was actually a bit curious to hear about the kit's day; Zero just couldn't show that... obviously.

Green eyes gazed patiently across the clearing. Hopefully, Ratpaw's patience wasn't being tested by his new friend simply for sleeping in or worse; trying to escape. He would have none of that. Surely she knew the consequences of attempting that, though, for what it's worth, he slightly hoped she did. It would mean giving chase to her and bringing her back forcefully. She was much too pretty to let escape from his paws. It was decided when he first saw her that she'd be at his side through his eventual take-over of Thunderclan. But of course, the opportunity for that had to arise first. Snowstar wasn't going anywhere in a hurry, and neither was Fennelnose, not that he would be able to take their places now, as an apprentice. The clan would never accept it. How did the tom lose track of his mind like that? He was waiting on Ashpaw to find her way to him. 'If she's not here by sunhigh then she will regret it,' he thought maliciously.

The ginger Tom was taken aback by the deputy's sudden mood change but decided to settle down a little after realising that they were just joking around. "I think they should be apprentices or if they're lucky, very new warriors. I'd like to meet them again...but not in battle, I pray. I'd rather it was at a gathering where all is peaceful than a bloody battleground. But of course, despite wanting to defend my kin, they are my second commitment, I am first loyal to ThunderClan and I'd fight with all of me in any battle." His whiskers twitched. He felt much calmer now. HarmonyBlade knew that Fennelnose could sense how intimidated the young warrior was.

Foxkit rubbed her nose with her paw, it stung a little after falling on it from her failed pounce. Her ears perked up as Treekit told her about her mother's words. "Is your mother's name Hensomething? Like Hensquawk?" Foxkot giggled at her clever assumption of a name. "Hensquawk." This time she started laughing, swishing her tail from side to side in amusement. "Don't worry though. You're allowed to say your mother's name out loud. You don't always have to call her mother. I call my mom Mapleheart sometimes, but mostly just mom." The ginger kit was back on her paws, eyes blazing and a bright smile on her face. "Well if you can wait you must have patience. That's something my mother says I don't have. She says it's bad that I don't have it. Do you think it's bad? I don't think it's bad. Who wants patience? Patience is boring. No offense to those who have it though." Foxkit looked pointedly at Treekit as she slowed in her talking. It would be a surprise if this other kit could keep up with her rambling, she constantly was talking. It was surprising that she didn't lose her voice often. "And okay... I might need practice. But we could practice together." Foxkit didn't like other cats teaching her. That was going to be a problem when she got a mentor. They were going to have a pawful with her.

Fast paws raced back and forth in the clearing, hitting every den, every cat in her way, pawfuls of moss dropping each centimeter of a step she took. Badgerpaw was exhausted, it was quite evident in the way she appeared: Disheveled fur, dirty paws, a perpetual tiredness lingering in her forest green gaze. The young apprentice had been non-stop replacing and cleaning moss in the dens, helping deliver prey to queens, kits, and elders, and just generally trying to stay out of the way, but in the process was proving to be a bit in the way. It was definitely taxing on Badgerpaw, as she came to a stop just outside the apprentice's den, her chest heaving as she inhaled the warm new-leaf air. She was too tired to nag anyone, or even kick herself for the now crunchy bits of moss scattered across the clearing.

Slowly, the apprentice lowered herself to the ground, her chest continuing to heave up and down as she quickly caught her breath. This is crazy! Shaking her head slowly, the apprentice's vision distorted for a brief moment before returning to normal. Her tongue lolled out of her mouth, gasping and licking her lips between each shaky breath that left her body. Carefully, she clawed together another small bundle of moss, preparing for another trip to the nursery.

Sablekit nodded her head vigorously, her eyes bright with amusement. She was glad that the kitten had seen her around, happy that she at least stood out a little from among what seemed like hundreds of other kittens in the nursery this time of year. She had been born at the end of leaf-bare, among only a few other litters, but new-leaf seemed to bring tons of others into the clan. "Yeah! You look like an apprentice already!" She meowed, looking the ginger kitten up and down. "I wish I was your age. It would mean I would be a moon closer... and then we could've became apprentice at the same time. Guess I'll just have to wait a moon later until I join you." She smiled widely, looking on dreamily. "Being an apprentice is going to be great... and I can't wait to see the territory! I've heard so many stories from my mom." The kitten turned to look longingly at the exit of the clearing, then sighed and returned her gaze to Foxkit. She mimiked the other kitten's posture, dropping to a crouch as well. "Wanna play wrestle??" The she-kit challenged, tail waving back and forth. Her blue eyes lit up at just the prospect of a game.

Naomi didn't even seem socked or fazed by the question, " My Father was a WindClan cat," She smiled being asking " Out of breath?"

" We can hunt again, If you'll actually hunt instead acting like a kit," She purred, tail brushing up a bit of dirt " Oh and Burning Forest, Don't try to outrun a wi-" A tiny thick furred kit crashed into Naomi interrupting her as she fell over.

Burning forest smiled. He walked over and picked up the furry kit and sat it on the ground."And who might you be?" He asked the kit. It's strong if it can knock over a warrior.I wonder who it's parents are. he thought. Is it Naomi's? he thought regretfully. Why does it matter if it is?If she has a mate then it's fine. he lyied to himself.

The small She-kit looked up at the Tom, vibrant blue eyes gleaming, " I'm Pinekit, your everyday hyper kit that gets under everyones paws" She smiled, thick mixed brown and white fur fluffed out. Naomi slowly got up up on her paws shaking some dirt out of her thick pelt, eyeing Pinekit and Burning Forest

Autumnleaf ran into the spacious clearing with an excited giggle, knowing that her friends were not too far behind her. The golden-furred female skidded to a stop, her paws sliding through the mud that was scattered through the clearing due to the storm. “Heh.. This’ll be one heck of a grooming session later..” The warrior chuckled, lifting a paw and inspecting the mud and sand that was in her long fur. She smiled to Swiftcry and Risingmoon as they joined her in camp. “Come on, let’s go see what delicious prey awaits us!” Autumnleaf remarked, tilting her head with a gentle smile on her maw before padding over to the fresh-kill pile, sniffing through the mice and thrush that lingered there. After a moment, the she-cat found a plump squirrel within the pile, lifting her head back up with the prey dangling from her jaws as she looked at her two friends. She pointed with her paw to a secluded, dry spot on the edge of camp underneath a tree where they could all eat in peace. The small, thin warrior happily bounded over to her comfortable, usual spot - knowing that today she would not eat alone like all the days before here.

Hawkflight stepped out of the warrior's den and into the clearing, shaking off the moss that still clung to his fur. He had slept well, like a kit, in fact. Yesterday had been so exciting, there wasn't time for him not to sleep good. He needed to be just as energized for today because today was a special day. Why exactly that was, he didn't know - but every day was special, at least to Hawkflight. I might get to see part of Riverclan's territory today! I've never been there, I'm so excited. Or Shadowclan, I heard the cats there are pretty ferocious. I wonder what their territory looks like.

He glanced towards the fresh-kill pile, but decided that he wasn't too hungry. He usually didn't eat before going out, instead waiting to feast after he returned to camp. Fresh-kill tasted so much better when he was really hungry and he had just done a full day of work and exploring. Instead, he decided to spend the early morning giving himself a quick wash while ideas for the day whirled inside his head.

Whorltwist walked out from the warriors den, and he kept breathing in, trying to navigate like his mentor taught him. But the scent of fresh kill hit his nose. Distracted, he wandered off and bumped into a nearby warrior. Hawkflight. "Whoops, sorry mate. You al'ight?" he asked, an Australian accent coming out strong from his voice. His misty, scarred eyes looked in the warrior's direction. His tail flicked behind him, purrs flowing from his maw as he hoped this wasn't a grumpy warrior. He knew how touchy warriors like that could be. He then cleared his throat and smiled. "Good mornin', by the way." he said with a friendly chuckle.

He hadn't ever really talked to the cat before, but he had heard that, despite his disability, he was striving to become as useful as any warrior. Hawkflight respected that and was even impressed that such a cat could have such a spirit.

Hawkflight smiled back, before realizing that he couldn't see him, so he twitched his tail in greeting and realized that he couldn't see that either. Mentally shaking himself, he resigned to simply speaking back. "Hello! I'm alright thanks, just a little stumble. And good morning to you as well! And then he realized, again, that Whorltwist couldn't see the bright sky. His whiskers twitched in annoyance at himself. Idiot, be more respectful.

The bright new-leaf sun shone down upon ThunderClan’s camp, warming up the atmosphere. Stormstrike was sitting down by himself in a rather quiet corner of the camp clearing. Although he was a very friendly cat, he wasn’t the most social. He was one of those cats that preferred to stick with the ones they already knew. He was willing to talk to other cats, but wasn’t the type to walk up to someone and start up a conversation. He let others come to him if they required a conversation of some sort.

The warrior let out a soft sigh as he tucked his paws beneath him, closing his eyes as he let the sun warm up his thin pelt. This was the life. Relaxing, enjoying what nature had to offer. It wasn’t very often that the tom could find a time like this to just let go and relax. He was either talking to his friends, on a patrol or doing something else that required lots of energy. It was a rare occasion that he managed to relax like this, but he always made the best of his time. The camp was currently quieter than usual, as most cats were out on patrol or hunting. Still, Stormstrike blocked out whatever noise he could and only let the sound of birds chirping in the distance break his peace.
The tom continued to relax like this for a few minutes before he decided he needed to do something else. As much as he loved to have time like this, he wanted to socialise, strangely enough. With that, he slowly rose to his paws, grunting as he did so. Once he was up, he looked around for some cat to that could do with a nice chat. He couldn’t spot anyone, but the image of a particular she-cat clicked in his mind. Snowstar. Stormstrike was quite sure he’d seen her walking into the Leader’s den earlier. Perhaps he should check there? Yes, he would. The tom shook out his paws before walking in the direction of the den.

“Snowstar?” He asked softly, peeking his head through the entrance of the den. His voice was quieter than usual, and almost cautious, as if he were scared something would lash out at him. Well, that was somewhat accurate. Ever since news of her expectant kits, Snowstar had been snappier than usual. Stormstrike was playing his part by growing up and taking in whatever she had to throw at him kindly, but even so if managed to tear him slightly. He was, after all, a tad bit sensitive. While the siamese was snappy, Stormstrike was overjoyed, and he was pretty sure that she was too, even if his mate didn’t show it.
Pushing his thoughts to the back of his mind, he entered the den, pale blues eyes searching for the figure of the young leader.

Snowstar stirred in her nest when she heard her name being called softly, the familiar voice reaching her ears. The Siamese cracked her ice blue eyes open and moved her head up a bit to look at her mate, and relief immediately flooded her gaze. Even if she was snappy all the time, even toward Stormstrike, she attempted to curb her temper around him, knowing how sensitive he could be. Besides, she wasnt feeling particularly snappy at the moment, although she knew that could change in a matter of seconds, too. The young leader pushed herself up to sit up, fixing her mate with soft blue eyes. All she had to do was stay calm for Stormstrike right now.

"Hey, Stormy." Her voice was slightly hoarse, as she'd been sleeping. The young she-cat shifted in her nest, allowing her jaws to gape in a small yawn before shaking her head, blinking back the sleepiness in her eyes.

With a flick of his tail he sniffed his way to the freshkill and grabbed a plump mouse. He then ate half and nuzzled the other half towards Hawkflight. "Want some?" he asked. Hawkflight almost sighed with relief. He had been a little scared that Whorltwist would have been angry with him for talking about things he couldn't see. But he seemed to be a good-tempered, rational cat. Hawkflight liked him a lot, even though he had really only just met him. When Whorltwist asked about hunting, however, something sparked in the back of his head - a burning question that he refused to bring to the front. That's rude. "Yeah, sure, I'll go hunting."

He looked down at the mouse. He rarely ate before going out, but there wasn't much to the mouse. A quick snack before the day? It would give him a good burst of energy, now that he thought about it. He shrugged and leaned down, gulping the remains of the mouse. "Thanks," he mumbled through his food. As he ate, however, that question pushed itself to the forefront of his mind. He held it back as he licked his whiskers clean, but it didn't last for long.

"How do you hunt?" he burst out, "And patrol? And be a warrior in general when you're, you know..." He trailed away nervously. His whiskers twitched with embarrassment as he realized how rude he must has sounded.

Dawnkit stumbled out of her family's nest and landed with an oof onto the soft, sand floor. She yawned and sneezed a little from the particles of dirt that had filled her nose before twitching it a little. Her cyan eyes looked around for someone to play with, but when no suitable playmate satisfied her, she turned to her only other option. Her two minute younger brother who was asleep next to their mother. They were both nearly exact replicas of their parents. His dark fur and soft green eyes resembled his grandfather and mother. Her brown, striped fur and cyan eyes resembled his mother and father. Clearly, she was the real kit of her parents. Not him. Plus, she was much better-looking.

Her brown, striped fur and cyan eyes resembled his mother and father. Clearly, she was the real kit of her parents. Not him. Plus, she was much better-looking.
Brookkit was still dreaming until everything simply turned black and he woke up, gazing around, he stretched his small body and gazed at his parents, who were still asleep before jumping out of the nest, he laughed as he saw his sister who had stumbled out of the nest. "Ahahah, you fell!" He teased, he knew he was better than her and maybe their parents did too, they showed him more attention!

"I was named after the glorius sun that tells us to begin a new day! Plus Dad named me first! So ha!" She said pleased with herself as she was now wide awake. The mornings usually went like this with the two littermates squabbling over who was better.

Entering the nursery, the light colored apprentice strode with confidence. She was on top of the world right now... though, not in the clouds where she was dreaming so big she knew things would never happen. Kestrelpaw had always been logical. Even as a kit. It'd made it hard to make friends, but she'd managed. Her Mother was still in the nursery, although Kestrelpaw wasn't really looking for Crystaldrop at the moment... she was more or less looking for anyone. Some kits were mature as she was, and others were easier to deal with. Their spunk was fun. As long as they weren't unrealistic, Kestrelpaw could manage. She hated those cats who thought they were going to be leader someday, or deputy, or medicine cat... the odds of that happening were very little. In a Clan with dozens of kits, and almost every one thinking that they could become leader, deputy, or medicine cat... yeah, that would mean only three would achieve their dream. And they would have to have a dream of the individual kinds. Which was why Kestrelpaw just aimed herself to be a good warrior. And if StarClan decided she should be deputy? Then so be it. But otherwise, she would be satisfied with her lot in life and not complain over some random thing. Kestrelpaw sat down, curling her tail around her paws as she observed the kits running around in the nursery. She wondered how Crystaldrop stood it. The constant squealing, the running around, the always wanting to play kits? However she stood it, she must be a patient cat. A very patient cat indeed. Kestrelpaw already knew that her Mom was in a bad state of mind at the moment, and while she wanted to comfort the feline, she was equally glad to stay away from her. The apprentice told it as it was. Not the most comforting of cats, but at least she was family... and eventually she would go to her Mother.

Sunpaw, newly groomed and golden tabby fur shining in the evening sun. The apprentice had been out in the territory all day, messing around with his best friend Everpaw, then having a hunting competition with a lovely she-cat named Raccoonpaw. It had ended in quite a mess though. Now, back in the camp, Sunpaw felt as if he had time to spend with one more she-cat before he ate some prey and went to bed for the night. He was genuinely getting tired, but he still had some energy left in him. Enough to push him through the rest of the day. Today had been quite taxing, with getting extremely dirty, getting a scratch around his paw, and getting kicked in the face by a rabbit. Those times were not ideal fun for Sunpaw. He still had to check in with Wheatfur about his jaw. Sunpaw hoped it wasn't broken, as it had started to continually get more and more sore.

Sunpaw cast his brilliant blue hues around the clearing, spotting a black and white furred she-cat laying on the ground. He walked over to her, taking notice of disheveled pelt and tired appearance. Sunpaw supposed that if her pelt was groomed, she would be beautiful. But Sunpaw had a kind heart, and si he decided to stay to talk to her, hopefully to get her to stop working herself so hard. As that seemed like what she had been doing. "Hey beautiful. Everything alright? You look like you've worked yourself really hard."

The ginger kit looked herself up and down, realizing that she really did look like an apprentice. Her paws were getting bigger, and she was staring to lose her kit-fluff. Underneath that fluff showed a little bit of a sleek pelt, one that would mark she was a cat, no longer a kit, when all of her fluff was gone. Foxkit then smiled at Sablekit, flicking her ears at the camp entrance. "Don't worry, after my first outing out there, I promise to tell you all about it!" She purred, turning her head to look at the camp exit as well. She couldn't wait to be out there, exploring the territory, hunting, patrolling, fightng... Maybe even finding her father. The traitor that has left her mother. She didn't even want to think his name. Turning back to Sablekit, Foxkit processed her question. "Yeah sure! But just know, I'm going to win!" She meowed, a mocking tone in her voice as she lowered her bottom and shifted her position. She had learned how to do the hunting crouch properly from that warrior Snowyclaw, although hers was still a little sloppy. Her orange eyes blazed with challenge as she started at Sablekit, waiting for her companion to make a move.

Snowstar made her way onto the Highpeak, her ice blue eyes bright for once. Today was one of those days she felt better than usual, even though she was pregnant, but at least she wasnt as snappy today. The young leader sat on the top and looked over her Clan, clearing her throat. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highpeak for a Clan meeting!" She called out. Once the Clan was gathered, the Siamese smiled softly.

"Today we have two rogues joining the Clan. Rip, Tear, please come forward." Snowstar watched them come forward, smiling. "From this day forward, these two will be known as Ripflash and Tornear. Nettlepaw walked out of the apprentices den with a long yawn. She made her way over to the center of the camp, sitting down with her tail wrapped slightly around her paws. Like always it's so quiet. Oh well beats having kits screaming in my ears. She shook her fur as a cold wind blew through her short fur. The apprentice gave her chest fur a few licks before standing up again. Nettlepaw walked over to the fresh kill pile and picked out a mouse. She went back to her spot, sitting down and she began to tear through the mouse's warm flesh.
The apprentice finished eating, sitting up, giving her chest fur a few more licks to smooth it down. She looked around camp for anyone who was willing to talk to her. Like anyone would talk to me. "Hey anyone want to hang out! I'm going to become an elder before I even become a warrior!" she yowled, hoping that someone would hear her.

Padding out of the warrior's den with a rather loud yawn, Whisperwish blinked in exhaustion as his dark brown eyes adjusted to the clearing's harsh sunlight. His fur ruffling in the lightest of winds, the tom gazed around ThunderClan's camp quietly as he looked for someone- Freckleface. The two were extremely close, and he couldn't imagine being without his best friend- if he was a tree branch, his friend would be his trunk, because he supported him. They were two peas in a pod, and his face lit up with excitement to see his best friend standing right there in camp, his ears peeking up with excitement as he raced towards the tom."Freckleface- what's up?" He huffed, the exhaustion almost gone from his limbs as he'd been rejuvenated just by talking to the other tom, the most amazing cat in the entire world.

She spotted the fresh-kill pile and bounded over to take her share. She found a nice, plump greenleaf mouse and quickly picked it up. Taking it back to the bush by the apprentice's den, she tucked into her meal, devouring the mouse in ravenous gulps. She felt her paws shaking with excitement as she stood up. Now that she was full fed and awake, she began to feel the adrenaline pulse through her veins, as well as a bit of anticipation - this was her first time out as an apprentice.
