Fireclaw and the kits where asleep. Icefang got up weakly walking, her back legs still hurting, she could stand and walk, but it felt like she was dragging her legs, she went and curled in some grass, and coughed

Hiddenpaw was just exiting what was left of the apprentices den, allowing his slight limp to show as he left. His left back paw was burnt, the pads we're still sore from the heat, but his amber hues were brighter than they were during the evacuation. Other than his minor injury and slight wheezing every now and then, the apprentice looked well. His pelt was almost glossy again and he looked very composed. As he entered the center of the clearing, a familiar scent drifted into his nose. The she cat during the fire. Hiddenpaw wasn't able to thank her for helping him and understood that now was the time to do so. He'd give anything to thank for, she did give him strength to keep going when he thought he couldn't anymore.
Following the scent carefully he spotted a mass of fur that was stretched out in an awkward position. Was it really her? Had to be. The scent was coming from her. Slowly, he padded up to the she cat, studying her almost statue like composure before he broke the silence about a tail length away. "H-Hello?" he spoke cautiously.

Echokit had already spotted Dragonkit laying the clearing. With the thoughts of fire behind her, she approached from behind, using the stalking skills she's been trying to master already. She inched closer and closer until the damage of the smoke took it's toll and she let out a few coughs. Now frustration prickles through her pelt, she would've had him if it weren't for the coughing. Echokit suddenly took a new strategy and leapt up from her crouched poation, launching herself across the clearing at the ebony Tom. "Hi!" she mused, landing squarely on his small tail instead of his back. Hoping she still scared him, she took a small leap back just in case he swiped at her. "I coughed, but did I get you?" she asked with an amused tone. It was hard to believe she was a panicked, soot covered kit just a few days before. Her mindset seemed to swing into a positive attitude I'm attempt to make up for the crisis that occurred.

Stormpaw looked up in alarm at hearing Hiddenpaw, and for a moment her blue hues flashed with surprise before she stopped, her silvery tail twitching for a moment in confusion before she gave a small smile. "Oh...hello. I don't believe I ever caught your name the other day...is there something I can help you with?" She asked. Unfortunately for her, Stormpaw was one of those cats who rarely thought someone would be looking for her, as in just to talk with her or spend time with her. Stormpaw smiled again, a little more uneasily this time, as she eyed the tom. Wasn't this the cat that she had helped in the fire? Yes, yes it was...oh, so he probably had come over to ask her something. Or tell her something. She shrugged a little, used to this by now. Was he actually nervous or something? He had stuttered a little when he had spoken to her...although truth be told, at the moment, she didn't look exactly approachable. Stormpaw felt a little bad- she hated to make other cats feel uncomfortable, and she straightened up, trying to make herself look as neat and friendly as possible. A friendly glint entered her blue hues, and she was able to stop struggling to keep a positive expression on her face, even if it didn't match the blank mask that she felt at the moment. She waited for the tom's reply, continuing to keep her friendly exterior up.

Dragonkit jumped up from his spot, his fur bristling as he heard something behind him. Just as he was about to turn around, a sudden weight landed on his tail, followed by a familiar sounding cry. "Echokit! You scared the fur off me!" He mewed, his fur still bristling fiercely. Dragonkit's normally neat ebony pelt was now strewn in all directions, and he shot a strange look at Echokit before allowing his fur to lay back down. "So, what's new?" He asked, with a small smile. It took pretty much everything in him to do so, but he managed it. He was glad that he didn't have to smile all the time. It'd probably drain every last bit of energy that the young tom had. "Or, what's new that I don't know about, I should say..." He mewed, realizing that the fire was certainly something new, but something that he already knew. Dragonkit kept his blue gaze fixed on Echokit, the smile slightly faded, although there was still a small trace of it left on his maw. He was glad to have met the positive young kit. Hey, she had managed to get a smile out of him. Ha, if she'd known me for longer, she'd probably be amazed, he thought with a small snort, wondering what his sister would think if she saw him right now. Die of shock, probably; Dragonkit almost never smiled.

Ratnight looked down at the crowd of cats, amused. Out of all of them, the sole speaker was a tiny kit. He saw cats whispering to one another, and many glances shot up at him, but the only cat brave enough to actually speak out was a kit. How sad. However, Rat decided to acknowledge the little mew. "You are correct," he began with a sinister purr. "leaders do have nine lives." He now spoke to the entire group. "Ashstar is still alive." Ratnight let the words ring out all over the clearing before continuing. "However," he lingered on the word. "he has chosen to step away from leadership, saying he is unable to lead a Clan anymore." The lie fluttered from his lips as easy as anything. His voice changed, deeper, more ominous. "We should be disgusted in him." He growled. "He left us in the time we needed him most." Ratnight stood up straighter, and meowed, "That is why I accepted the rank of leader; I swear I will do my best to rebuild this burned down Clan!" His voice climaxed, then dropped again as he spoke his next sentence. "Now, did you notice I didn't say 'I swear by StarClan?'" The leader purred. "That is another change that will be coming to this Clan. We will leave behind our 'warrior ancestors', no longer communicate with them." He paused, letting that sink in. "We have no need for them, we can easily move forward without them, even better, for that matter. We will be stronger acting on our own. I also will be following in the footsteps of the other three Clans, and taking on the name of Ratnight." He finished, and swept his gaze across his Clan. He hoped to get a positive reaction from them, but would easily deal with the portion who didn't agree with his new way of doing things. Well, he thoughts, his nostrils flaring, I'll deal with them one way or another.

Daypaw let a gasp escape his maw "rid of starclan?! That's our family you're telling us to leave behind! We can't do that! If we do that, then...then....we'll be just as good as....." the blonde tom clenched his jaw shut and dug his claws into The scorched dirt 'I knew it, something is off about him! What do I do?! What do I say?!' he thought to himself. Nightpaw tensed when he heard his brother speak out 'you mouse braine, what are you doing?!' he thought to himself and quickly stood up "I believe in ratnight! We should abandon starclan, if they really truely cared about us, they would've stopped the fire! If the young really cared, then they wouldn't have just watched out loved ones die!" He declared and turned his silver gaze up to ratnight, fear and determination blazed in the black toms eyes. Daypaw sated at his brother, disbelief flashed in his blue orbs as his gaze flicked from his brother to ratnight.

Bluejay fur fluffed up and his sister , wingdrop, gasped in disbelief "one can't just stop believing in starclan, not when we've been believing in them for our whole lives." He spat , his tail flicking violently back and fourth as he stared down ratnight. Wingdrop looked at the new leader in disbelief "blujays right, it dosent just work that way, what kind ove mouse brain are you?" She questioned. Bluejay cuffed his sisters ear "whatcha it idiot, we don the know how many supporters this guy has." He whispered in her ear, the silver tom turned his gaze back up to ratnight and the two just stood there, hoping for the best.

Nightbreeze gazed in horror at Ratnight as he spoke of Ashstar's death. She had heard stories of what had happened in Riverclan and Shadowclan when the leaders took the suffix -night. The black she cat released a sigh, her green orbs flicking around the clearing, landing in the head of her kits, friends and families alto make sure they were all okay. Starclan help us. She thought desperately, knowing better to keep her jaws shut.

Storkpaw watched through narrowed eyes. He sat there, his white and black marked fur, dulled and covered in soot from the fire. The tom was too tired to do much else than listen. He was intelligent and knew speaking up would end badly for him. Instead he sat there, immovable, frozen in fear. I have to stay safe for Owlkit. She may not admit it, but I'm going to keep her safe.

Arrowheart growled from his seating. His dark brindled pelt rose and bushed, his claws sheathing and I sheathing themselves. The tom was furious that this was happening yet again. He had been a mere kit the last time this had happened was was outraged that it was happening again. "What about Gyrewind? Hey isn't he the leader if Ashstar resigned?" He questioned, his thought having distracted him in case Ratnight had mentioned it previously.

"What about Grouseflurry? Hey isn't he the leader if Ashstar resigned?" He questioned, his thought having distracted him in case Ratnight had mentioned it previously.

(Gyrewind was Ashstar's deputy)

Spottedpelt sat there, her mind abuzz with voices that screamed in terror as she listened to the words being spoken. Her brother had perished in the flames and then resigned when he came to from losing his life? That didn't sound like him. Sure she knew her brother had some confidence issues for a leader but that seemed unlike him. However, she wasn't truly thinking about that or the suspicious nature of Ratnight sitting upon her brother's perch, somehow skipping over Gyrewind entirely. Instead, all that was upon her mind was fear, all consuming and terrible, and the she-cat recoiled in on herself and clutched her skull, claws digging into her head until there was blood. Fangs gritted and her tail wrapped close around her body, the calico was unable to even think, everything shutting down around her.

Palestripe watched the tom as he spoke, speaking on around what was to happen now and how he was the new leader. He found it curious, but thought little of it. He didn't like Ashstar much, the leader hadn't been able to keep his parents from abandoning the clan, he wasn't able to save his mentor and the former deputy Sweetolive, and he hadn't been present during the flooding to lead the clan. In the brown tom's books, Ashstar was a failure. He caught sight of the virtually insane calico breaking down, and huffed. She was so weak, pathetic and a waste of space in the clan. With a huff, he wrapped his tail around his paws and listened to the tom atop the Highpeak.

Sitting to the side, Yewspots watched as the clan listened and reacted. He was ready to cut down anyone that dared disagree with his father's plans, Ratnight standing there only because of what Eternalstar had planned. With a disgusted sniff the spotted brown tom lowered his maw and watched like a dark sentinel, looming in the corner waiting to act.

The medicine cat apprentice stared up at his new leader as the tabby explained that Ashstar hadn't died but rather just stepped down. Northpaw thought of this for a moment, but he was aware he didn't know his former leader enough to know if this was what Ashstar would really do. The young to hi some started to hi some believe that Ratnight couldn't all that bad, anointing how he'll try his best to lead the clan - and he seemed to her to hourly believe in what he was saying, wanting to rebuild the clan from the ashes the fire had left them in. But to he orly then he continued. North froze as Ratnight stayed they will no longer be upholdin their original beliefs, beliefs that the clans have followed for generations. The charcoal tom gave a slight growl escaped him, narrowing his amber orbs at Ratnight once he claimed that he was following the pawsteps that the other clans were leaving. Why is everyone taking this name? Are they all really against Starclan? And what against out Windclan... is someone else leader now? Someone with the same suffix against our traditional beliefs? North shook his head at these thoughts, once again trying to kill of his suspicions yet failing again as well. Bt he remained silent, continuing to hold his thoughts in silence - mostly out if uncertainty towards his new leader. Movement out of the corner of his autumn orbs made him turn to a calico. He watched in shock as Spottedpelt clawed at her own head. Seeing the blood, the young healer had the impulse to move towards her and offer some help, yet for some reason didn't. Part of him feared she would attack him - or at least lash out - if he approached her. It took a few heartbeats, but Noryhpaw realized that she reacting so horribly partially due to the fact that Ashstar was her own brother, but he didn't understand why was acting in an extreme level. He didn't know that she had lived under Eternalstar's rule, didn't know what was going on or the horrors she feared was looming ahead.

Northpaw thought about Ratnight's announcement as he made his way into the den. His thoughts were swirling, preventing him from noticing his mentor already in the den. He worried for Ashstar, the clan, Crescent and Zerosight. Saddened amber orbs slowly rose, freezing the moment they fell upon the black tom sorting through the herbs. "Zerosight!" North leaped forward, bounding towards his Mentor almost like a kit boundone towards it's father. "I didn't see you in the evacuation nor aft wards when we returned. I searched for you - but I probably should'very checked here first..." he murmured the last part with slight embarrassment as he now thought this was the obvious place to look for the medicine cat. The dark tabby looked at the pile of ruined herbs and frowned. "I'm so sorry, I should'very grabbed some herbs before leaving," in hobesty, he never had the chance. Everything seemed to have happened so fast, the sudden fire caused everyone to rush out of camp and head to safety - Northpaw had been scared and confused, worrying about what would happen to his clan and fear that many would perish in the chaotic flames.

Sprucepaw might have been one of the only listeners who fully absorbed Ratnight's words and believed in them. She'd never even had much interaction with Ashstar anyways; he was just another leader who didn't seem to do much in the clan- in her eyes. The apprentice sat up straighter as she heard about the new leader's non-belief in StarClan; her green orbs glistened and shone with admiration and belief. Never had she ever imagined another cat thinking similarly to her!

But it was true. The apprentice played a small smirk on her lips, ignoring the slight flurry of chaos that occurred around her. Why was everyone so obsessed with their warrior ancestors anyways? They were just fragments of life, being held by Silverpelt in the sky. It didn't mean anything to her, and anyways, she'd never seen them in their true form and glory.

@fenic! (http://warriorcatsonline.com/forums/member.php?u=21)

The dark tom looked around at his clan-mates, taking in their state that the fire had left them. Northpaw's tail flicked in irritation. He knew that many of theme would be hurt, and he to see his others like this - hurt and scared. But everything was actually calming down which was a good sign. He fattened his ears as the rain poured down on him, making his already charcoal coat look almost black. He was glad that the fire had stopped and everything, but he still searched in fear for his friends. Where's Zerosight? Where's Crescent? What if they got hurt... or worse? These thoughts scared him some more. North didn't want his Mentor or kithood friend to have been kill in the fire. No! He shook his head to rid the thought. They're both smart and capable, they'll be fine, he sighed and looked towards the ground under his paws. As he stood there alone, he realized that for the first time since he met Crescent and became Zero's apprentice, he actually felt... alone.

Twitepaw's eyes had closed shut in slight pain from the smoke, and her voice was still a bit scratchy, though she hadn't gone to see either of the medicine cats, since her injuries were barely severe enough to distract her from her duties. Sighing as she padded across the clearing of their new, relocated camp, everything just seemed different all of a sudden. They had a brand-new and extremely capable leader and deputy ever since Ashstar stepped down for some reason, and cats just seemed stronger, like the fire had done something to show them how precious the lives of their clanmates really were. As the dilute calico walked, she suddenly stopped as her tail bushed up in surprise, her face only a nose-length away from another cat's face- Northpaw.

The charcoal tabby blinked his autumn orbs in surprise when Twitepaw had stopped only a nose-length from his face. The young tom stepped back a bit to give her some more room. "Oh hello..." he realized that he couldn't place her name. Well, if you spend all day memorizing the names of herbs yoy're gonna forget the names of your clanmates, he silently joked - though it was true. "Are you okay?" He quickly moved on from his previous died out sentance. And it became somewhat of an instinct to ask if anyone needed his help after a disaster such as the recent fire. He already knew that some cats had been lost in the flames, knowing that their numbers had decreased. A somber look glazed over his orbs as he imagined his mentor and best friend getting caught in the flames, terrified s they couldn't find a way out... he still didn't want to think of such things as he watched the ground. Northpaw kept trying to convince himself that they had both gotten out of the fire, they would be searching for him too, worried but fine.

Blood drizzled down from her ear, or what was left of it... blood streamed from her empty eye socket, she couldn't see out of her other eye though. her nose was clogged with blood, a giant gash ran along her side, blood soaking her pelt. Her tail tip ripped apart, and her claws ripped out. "Please help..." Spirit's voice was no more than a whisper. Tears streamed down her face collecting at her chin and dripping off. "Help! I'm only a kit!" Her voice became stronger, though she gasped for air, blood filled her mouth, dripping down. Spirit fell, unconscious, hitting the ground with a big 'thunk'. And most cats who looked at her body, might, just might think that she was dead.

Fennelstrike surveyed the mixed emotions of her clanmates. She gave a tiny wince as Spottedpelt started to attack herself, but let herself have a tiny snicker. It's good Ratnight has taken over these pathetic so-called-warriors. Why would Ashstar let an insane, unpredictable cat in their ranks, even if she was his sister? She thought to herself. Such a soft-hearted goose Ashstar had been. He didnt know strength. No, he decided to let an insane cat reside in their clan. Hopefully, Ratnight would take care of Spottedpelt somehow surely. She looked at Sprucepaw, intently as she watched the apprentice gaze over ThunderClan, her lip turned in a little smirk. Would she make a good recruit? Fennelstrike decided she would talk to the apprentice later and focused her full attention and focus on Ratnight, lifting her head to see what the powerful young tom would do to deal with the situation before him.

Now they were talking. There weren't as many questions thrown at him as he thought there would be, but with the bustle of many cats talking among themselves, he only caught a couple. He watched, amused, as the small tom, Daypaw, break into an outburst, and be silenced by his brother. Nightpaw stood, and Ratnight tilted his head interested in what the apprentice had to say. "Wise words, young one." He purred as Nightpaw finished. Ratnight liked the determination in the young cat's eyes, and he was brave to speak up. Could he be a potential recruit? But he couldn't focus of that right now. He turned to the next call he heard. It turned out to be the same small kit who had spoken up last time. "Ashstar," he began. "will not be participating in the general Clan life. He will serve me, something I'm sure he would rather do then be in charge of fixing up this Clan." He purred. "I believe," he meowed after a moment. "that concludes the meeting." He leaped gracefully down from the Highpeak. "If you have any more questions," he added. "feel free to come to me or Fennelstrike. We will have another meeting soon."

Even though Honeykit didn't fully believe him about her clumsiness she truly felt on the same level as him. "Thanks Ashenkit." She purred, eyes sparkling with affection. Her tail shot straight in the air when he rolled onto his back. "Sure! Get prepared to be beaten!" While she had the chance the small kit lunged forward and bowled into the larger grey kit, batting wildly at his stomach with her back paws.

(Short post, sorry! Are AshenxHoney going to be apprenticed at the same time? Also I think RainxHeart should have their ceremonies soon)
Ashenkit hadn't expected Honeykit to attack him so soon, and with a mew of surprise, he was bowled over, landing hard on his back. He struggled beneath the golden kit, giving a small mew of surprise as she began batting at him. In an effort to get her off of him, Ashenkit began to bat around at her face with his soft paws, pushing at her to see if it would have any effect. He doubted it, but it was always worth a shot. "You cannot beat me, I am the strongest- uh- warrior in..." He stopped for a moment, wondering whether he should be from ThunderClan or ShadowClan, knowing the rivalry was strongest between those two. "ShadowClan!" He exclaimed finally, and to anyone listening, it must have sounded strange. He batted at Honeykit again, a mischievous spark in his blue hues and a playful purr in his throat as he did so, quite obviously excited.

Serving you? Northpaw flicked his tail as his dark pelt prickled. What does that mean? He won't be 'partaking in general clan life'... though he didn't really understand it, the young tom was uncomfortable by the thoughts of such things. He had noticed the slight smirk that Fennelstrike threw towards Spottedpelt, making him even more unnerved by the pair standing before the clan. How could she smirk at Spottedpelt like that? Can't she see something's wrong with her?! But he somehow believed that what was wrong wasn't the calico, but rather someone else. He watched the ground for time as he thought of this as Ratnight called the meeting to a close, insisting they go to him and his deputy if they have anymore questions. Despite all the questions he was craving to ask, something help the tabby's hold his tongue awhile longer. As the leader closed the meeting, Northpaw turned away and started to head away. He still felt bad for Spottedpelt due to her self-inflicted injuries, and still wanted to help her - stop the bleeding and maybe give her something to help sooth her troubled thoughts. Plus, he hated the look that Fennelstrike had given the molly. Though everything that was said here was just making his suspicions worsen. He tried to get rid of these negative thoughts, yet they were like burrs and just tugged at him the more he tried to force them away. Nevermind this - I'm sure everything will be fine, right? But I need to find Zerosight and Crescent, he shook his head and started to search for the two, still holding onto hope that the two of them had made it out of the fire and was now getting settled into their new camp. Besides, them might have something to say about all this as well...

"...It's Twitepaw." She muttered quietly, feeling the slightest bit flustered from her near-crash with the tom- and to his question, she simply shook her head, letting out a sigh as she talked. Her voice sounded hoarse, but it was simply because of the smoke- it wasn't like she'd lost family or friends in the fire, considering that she didn't exactly have many friends in the first place except for Thrushpaw, just a cross-clan friend that she'd met across the border once. He was alright, but a bit... strange, honestly. She was never a good cat for conversation, but the apprentice found it strangely easy to read some cats like an open book, to guess if they were lying and guess right. It was some sort of curse in disguise, to never be able to talk to anyone well, but still reading their emotions quite well, as if it was a fruit just out of her reach, a possible friend she was unable to make.

Brightkit sat in the clearing, the small multicolored kit's bicolored hues scanning it for Martenkit. Where is he, I'm bored and want to play! She thought, with a small, impatient mew. Patience had never been Brightkit's number one strong point, and certainly not when she was bored. Her tail twitched a little, waiting for her friend, and she sighed, cocking her head from side to side to amuse herself. She liked to do that...for whatever reason, it made her feel so much less bored than just sitting. Perhaps it was the movement that released some of her pent up energy, or perhaps it was the positioning of her head when she did so that made her feel better. Whatever it was, Brightkit loved the feel of it. She kept her hues scanning the clearing, however; a surprise attack was always well, surprising, and Brightkit would rather be the one to surprise him for once.

Relocation. It was... odd? Or was it exciting? Not many could read the pair of huge amber-red eyes, staring to the waving canopy of trees above with a flurry of confusion mingling among the sky's reflection. Martenkit stayed sheltered among the edge of the strange clearing, water spitting down not to many feet away from him. The grass that was or had been exposed to the rain had taken a burden, sodden and small brown pools emerged around the warriors' paws. Martenkit didn't want his feet wet, they'd fall right off! As if just thinking it made it happen, the tomkit raised a paw and gave it a stare, making twitchy flexes with his toes. Where's Brightkit! Martenkit thought, stomping his foot on the ground and scowling grumpily. The once-fuzzy looking kit flomped onto his side, like the cold air had stolen his energy like a no-good rogue.

Fernpaw knew the warriorcode backwards and forewards, she yowled," NO TRUE CLAN CAT WOULD ABANDON STARCLAN! YOU'VE NEVER ANSWERED WHAT HAPPENED TO GYREWING!" she hissed," RATNIGHT WHY IN THE NAME OF STARCLAN WOULD ASHSTAR AND GYREWING DISAPPEAR!" she snarled," I'D CALL YOU A PIECE OF FOX-DUNG, BUT THAT ISN'T ALLOWED, YOU KNOW WHAT, THAT'S IT! YOU ARE A BIG FAT PIECE OF FOX-DUNG AND YOUR DEPUTY IS TO, I HOPE YOU ROT IN THE DARKFOREST WHEN YOU DIE, LUCKILY NO BELIEF IN STARCLAN MEANS THAT YOU DON'T RECEIVE NINE LITTLE LIVES! YOU OL' FLEABAG!!" she hissed angrily still ranting while her best friend Rosepaw slowly led her away toward the clearing

Owlpaw glanced at her friends," Can you believe that Ashstar would just abandon his clan in a time like this?"

Rosepaw shook her head," No, and what about Gryewing?"

Owlpaw looked at her friends," Guys, Ashstar wouldn't just desert the clan like this and we don't know about Gyrewing, it's up to us to find some evidence, right?"
Rosepaw nodded," True, I want to find a few things out from them because I don't trust him one bit."
Fernpaw snarled," HE'LL NEVER BE MY LEADER THAT STONE-COLD FLEA-BAG!"
Owlpaw nodded," Come on, let's look for some evidence, leave the clans and search for our leader and deputy,I'm sure they'll respect us the anti-supporters!"
Fernpaw hissed," QUIT BEING SO SMART!" she lept at Owlpaw not playfully, claws unsheathed, but Owlpaw simply stepped aside, " Sorry, Fernpaw, come you'll be a great help to us, if you would come with us and help get the truth out."
Fernpaw slowly nodded," Alright, I'll come...,"
the three walked out of camp.

A flash of color caught her good eye, and she twirled around to stare at it. It was fuzzy; well, fuzzier than it should be; but it was familiar looking. Martenkit. Now's my chance! Brightkit thought, creeping forwards, although she wasn't very good at it. Her paws seemed to catch every twig, leaf, or anything else that they could step on, and she angrily lashed her tail, although she was still excited. With a half mew, half yowl, she jumped halfway up into the air, her target being Martenkit, and she quickly took a glance down at her front paws to make sure her claws were sheathed. Thankfully they were, because she had run out of time if they hadn't been. The coldness didn't seem to have affected her energy...but then again, very little did. "Did I scare you?" She asked eagerly from her perch atop the tom, her bicolored hues twinkling with excitement and mischief.

Upon hearing her voice, Northpaw could already tell that she had breathed in some of the smoke. He had too, but his voice wasn't too affected by it, so it didn't come off as hoarse. He flicked his ears and wondered if there was anything in the medicine cat's den for her. "You must've breathed in a lot of smoke during the fire - but you should be fine," he forced a comforting smile. He was sure that she'd be fine, but he wished he could do more for her. I'm sure most of the herbs if not all were destroyed in the fire, the dark tom wished that he had saved at least a few of the herbs, could've been more useful during the disaster. "But you should probably rest, honestly, stressing out and moving around too much will be the worst you can do," he wasn't aware that she didn't really have anyone that could've been claimed by the flames, so didn't know that she wasn't too worried nor too stressed. He bit his lip for a moment before speaking up about something was was gnawing at him. "Hey... you heard Ratnight's announcement, didn't you?"

"Brightkit!" He exclaimed with giggles in his voice and a huge grin on his face. Martenkit squirmed against the earth, even though he was significantly bigger then her. "You did not!" Brightkit's grin spread across her maw, and she batted at him with her soft paws. "I did too scare you! Or at least surprise you, you squawked like a bird!" She exclaimed indignantly, batting at him with her soft paws. For a moment, Brightkit laughed, before she was flung off of the tom. She flailed around in the air, managing to land neatly on her paws, her claws digging into the soft earth. "Hey!" She exclaimed in a semi-indignant manner, her tail whipping back and forth like a miniature, multicolored flag. Her expression was determined as she charged at the larger kit again, this time stopping right in front of him and wrestling at him with her paws, the grin still fixed on her maw, although there was a determined light in her eyes that hadn't been there before. She wanted to keep Martenkit pinned for longer than she had been able to, and her bicolored hues showed it. Her tail was still whipping around as she continued to bat at him, with the light of play sparking in her eyes.

Martenkit instinctively rammed his heels in the ground as he met threatening wrestling paws, nearly plowing right into Brightkit. Despite this dramatic stop, he was still caught in the crossfire and let out more squawks and hacks, trying to clock his head out of the way. He felt his balance giving way to his small friend's advance, a flash of playful panic and determination. ''No, you did not!''He flung both of his paws in the air and- no, that didn't help. Another cry of surprise emerged from Martenkit and he toppled backwards, arms flailing but to no avai- no! His flexed paw caught Brightkit's arm as he fell, but he really couldn't do any special attack before he tumbled belly-up.

Or are you going to escape?" She asked. Give up, give up, give up...she thought, knowing all too well that she would not be able to keep Martenkit pinned for long. He was larger and stronger than her, although her small size did give her the speed advantage. Plus she was stronger than she looked- it just wasn't always obvious. Brightkit's tail continued to twitch back and forth, and she kept him firmly pinned, although she was beginning to lose interest. The rest of the new camp looked so pretty! "If you give up now, we could go exploring," She offered with a shrug, although her smirk was still visible on her maw.

Storkpaw padded out from the apprentice's den, still stunned from the news that Ratnight had delivered. The young Bengal shared his mother's beliefs in Starclan, and wasn't to sure what the future had in store for him now that Ratnight and Fennelstrike had taken command. He knew though, that whatever happened would not be good. Does Starclan not care about us anymore? Why are they letting this happen? He thought, confused about the entire dilemma. He padded to the side, his thoughts continuing down the trail of what seemed like a dark future for the Clans.

Owlkit sat in the clearing, her fluffy brown and white tail curled about her paws. The kit was stunned. It felt as though everything in here had gone, leaving her with just an empty shell. She could see the Bengal apprentice, Storkpaw, making his way away, and she got to her paws, wearily making her way towards him. "Storkpaw..." She greeted, tears beginning to well in her grey blue hues. She couldn't say anything else. All the life had been taken from her, everything had been taken from her. A new leader. Ratnight. B-b-but I don't...I don't...I don't like him...Owlkit thought, with a distressed twitch of her tail. She didn't have the energy to try and play, she didn't even have the energy to smile. As much as she wanted to be energetic and happy, she had nothing in her to do so. She allowed herself to meet Storkpaw's gaze, although tears were still visible in her grey blue hues.

(Okay, well Ashenkit is four moons old- how old is Honeykit? And yeah, Heart's gonna be apprenticed soon hopefully, I just need to find a mentor for her x3)
Because he had picked a Shadowclan warrior her desire to win burned all the brighter. Honeykit had regained her ambition! "Well I, uh-" she thought for a moment, "Honeyclaw, will defeat the stinking Shadowclan cat!" Before she could get another swipe in she was batted in the face by a soft gray paw. Unable to get her hold again she stumbled off him, but stayed steady in a crouch. I won't lose this time, I am not clumsy! Honeykit threw herself forward and head-butted his shoulder in an attempt to throw the larger kit off balance. A grin spread across her muzzle and a loud purr erupted in her throat, while playfulness and determination sparked in her now glowing cobalt gaze.

(Honeykit is 4 moons soon to be 5, so we'll have rainxheart be apprenticed first as soon as heartkit finds a mentor?).

Ratnight's words were a bit like a wispy dream floating through Sprucepaw's mind; it ran through and persuaded her and filled the molly with pure joy and excitement. He- and Fennelstrike, of course- were going to make a change within the clans. No longer was Ashstar going to lead ThunderClan into misery. Now, a greater power could be put into play, and it was ringing within the clan. And in the midst of the action, Sprucepaw would be part of this moment. It didn't matter that she was merely a 10-moon-old apprentice; she was determined too support the new era and help out the new incoming leaders.

The feeling was slightly dampened by her clanmate's lack of support, or so it seemed. Sprucepaw's fur bristled as she heard one of her fellow clanmates- an apprentice, about the same age as her- boldly shout out a couple of remarks, which stung and smothered the air and changed the attitude of the whole scene. By then, the 'shouting kit' incident was completely out of her mind, and this one replaced it. How dare she shout something up so impolite to their leaders? That was horrid, plain old horror. If Fernpaw wanted to say something cruel, they should at least do it in a way in which Ratnight would actually listen to her.

"So disrespectful," Sprucepaw hissed quietly, as the molly left. She didn't want to say it too loud, being that the whole clan was here, but she wanted to make sure the apprentice could hear it.

Spirit's body lay limp on the ground, she gasped in an effort to fight back weakness, "Help!" Her lungs screamed for air as she spoke, pounding so ferociously that her paws pounded with it. Spirit looked, her blind sight irritated her. She tried listening, her one good ear barely hearable out of. She sniffed, picking up the scents of cats all around her. "I need to find... uh..." She hesitated trying to word it correctly, "My... My brothers..." Spirit stumbled forward a bit, tripping over a small rock and tumbling forward. Spirit got up, her weakness tried to drag her down. Her pelt heavy with blood. "Yeah, my brothers..."

Owlkit wasn't quite sure what to think anymore. "What are we going to do? Wh-what do I do now?" She asked, her voice so quiet that it would have been increasingly hard to catch. She hated feeling so powerless and out of control. Up until now, she had believed herself to be in control of most aspects of her own life. She had been able to choose where she wanted to go- although granted, some places did have their consequences if she was caught- she had been able to choose what she wanted to be like, what friends she wanted to make...and the leader had never bothered her, she had never really thought about it before. But now, now things were different. She was very glad to have Storkpaw there, as terrified as she was...she felt safe. "A-are we going to b-be okay?" She asked, her voice having a slight stammer in it. Tears began to roll out of the she cat's eyes, surprising her, and she could barely stop herself from completely breaking down. He was the one who never felt much emotion himself, or at least didn't show it, but once his friends broke down, he started to as well. He bent his head nd rested his chin on her forehead. Owlkit sighed, and looked a little calmer- at least, she was able to take control of herself and stop crying. That, in her opinion, was something to be very thankful for...at least now she was in better control of herself. "Y-yeah..." She mewed, swallowing a little as she did so. "Five moons old. I'll be six really, really soon...I think...and then I'll be able to go out all the time, and we can do a whole bunch of other stuff together," She mewed, a hint of her old cheerful personality returning to her currently worried state. She didn't like having to count on someone else to make her feel secure, but at the moment she was too shaken to take care of herself.

Storkpaw smiled down at the kit. "Exactly, now all we have to do is wait. And yes," he chuckled a little. "We can go out and escape this place for some time. We will have to come back though, we can't leave them here alone, we'll have to help in some way." He said turning a slight bit serious. The black and white Bengal trusted his new friend and felt like he should protect her, but that did not hinder his respect for her. He knew she was quite capable of taking care of herself, just like he was, but every once in a while, everyone needed someone beside them.

Owlkit smiled faintly, looking a little less scared and a little more like her old self. She was beginning to regain her confidence- after all, it wasn't like anything would happen to her if she was smart and kept her opinions to herself and with those she trusted. "Yeah, I know...but it'll be good to get out for a little while," She mewed, her expression becoming serious once more. "When do you think you'll be a warrior?" She asked, fixing her grey blue gaze on her friend. She suddenly realized she didn't know when Storkpaw would become a warrior...a real warrior, wow. That was super-cool in her opinion, especially since he was quickly becoming her best friend. Or at least, he was becoming a closer one than she had expected...she generally lost interest in friends, but Storkpaw had managed to keep her interest for this long. She was glad, though...after a while, losing interest got annoying. It wasn't like she could help it, she just seemed to naturally get uninterested as quickly as she had been intrigued.

(Honeykit is 4 moons soon to be 5, so we'll have rainxheart be apprenticed first as soon as heartkit finds a mentor?)
.Ashenkit tumbled over, rolling on the ground and struggling to regain his balance, finally landing hard on his side where he struggled to get to his paws. His blue hues flashed with alarm as he realized that Honeykit could easily pin him. She's much stronger than she looks, he thought with a flash of alarm. Honeykit never ceased to surprise him, and he was stunned to realize that she could actually beat him. "Ha! Ashenstrike is stronger than any ThunderClan cat!" He exclaimed, with an excited expression. as he prepared himself to try and pin or defend himself against Honeykit's next attack. Huh. Guess I'm clumsier than I thought, he realized, while he remembered tumbling over. Guess she can't say that she's clumsy now, having seen that, he thought with a grin.

Nightpaw felt his spine tingle when ratnight complimented him 'forgive me starclan, I didn't mean it, promise.' he prayed then nudged his bemused brother with his shoulder, his silver eyes shone with sorrow and apology "hey, wanna go get me a mouse?" He asked, his tail flicking back and fourth as he awaited an answer. Daypaw stared at his brother for a few seconds before nodding and padding over to the freshkill pile, his blond and white fur still a little fluffed up. The black turned his silver gaze back to the new leader of Thunderclan, 'I won't let you have your way, I won't let you hurt any more cats.' he declared, his silver gaze danced with determination and anger as his gaze burned into ratnights fur.

Frondkit looked around the clearing with bright green eyes before bounding up to another kitten whom he wasn't sure if he had talked to much, or at all, before now. He came to a stop before the kit and grinned down at him, wondering if they were going to become friends or if the kit wanted to play a game or sneak into the warriors den or ask the apprentices what it was like in the territory. He opened his mouth and began to speak in an excited and bouncy tone of voice as he often used when approached with something or someone new.
"Hi! I'm Frondkit! What's your name?" He asked, excited at being able to meet someone new. He liked everything that was new as he was a very curious young kit. He gave a little bounce on his toes and then pointed one of his ears another direction while he waited for Juniperkit to respond.

Foxclaw lay in a nest, giving a soft purr. After the fire and evacuation, she had been so stressed she went into labor. Luckily. All of the Kits were healthy and they returned to the camp with ease. Unfortunately her mate had not been present as he'd been dealing with his duties as an active warrior. She carefully groomed each of her four kits, still purring. She knew that at any moment her mate would come in to see them for the first time.

Storkpaw thought for a moment. "I don't know, probably and other moon or two, I think." He meowed uncertainly. After the tom had become an apprentice, he really didn't care about how old he was, it was just one if those things he didn't think about as often as he did when he was a kit.

Ratnight looked over his shoulder at Fernpaw in amusement. His response was a quiet smirk, and an eye roll as he padded over to Fennelstrike. "Went pretty well, don't you think?" He purred. Without waiting for an answer, he carried on. "What do you think about Sprucepaw?" He questioned in a soft voice, glancing over at the apprentice. "Sure, he's young, but it seems like he might be a good recruit. Perhaps Nightpaw as well?" Ratnight was a bit let down by how few cats openly supported his plans for the new reign, but he was confidant that they would soon change their minds. While she was still in the air Honeykit blocked the sun from Ashenkit's view for just a heartbeat, making her pale frame light up. She almost looked like the sun, except the sun wouldn't go crashing down into it's best friend. She made the jump good, as it was steady and actually toward he target, but she had no idea how she would land. With her ginger paws pointed at Ashenkit she hoped she could pin him right then and there.

"...I don't need anything. It's not that bad, just some smog caught in my throat." Twitepaw shook her head, her pale blue eyes gleaming with interest as he suddenly began to talk about Ratnight's announcement of leader- "Well, he's my mentor's mate, I think. It's not exactly that bad, I don't think, but I'm still a bit suspicious." She wasn't really that suspicious of him, but lying might be the best answer when talking to a medicine cat, who relied on Starclan for almost everything. "Starclan hasn't been around much, I don't think, but the idea that they've left us is a bit shaking, right?" Twitepaw never exactly believed, but nobody needed to know the dilute calico's opinion on her ancestors as she talked, her paws planted firmly on the ground as the molly tried her best to remove the hoarse sound from her voice caused by the smoke.

He gave a quick nod as the molly informed him that she was in no need of herb. He was glad that other than the smoke she seemed fine. He still hated how the the fire had devastated their territory and they were forced to move - similar to how the flood was. His ears perked up as she stated that she wasn't entirely sure about their new leader - though North hadn't noticed that she was actually lying to him. "Yeah, me too," he gave a small nod and glanced around to make sure that not many others were listening in. He knew that some of them were loyal to Ratnight, and wasn't looking for a fight of any kind. His orbs looked saddened when Twitepaw pointed out how Starclan seemed to be giving the clans the cold shoulder. He had to admit that she was right about that much. "I suppose you're right... in all my training, I've never seen Starclan - medicine cats are suppose to see them, but they've been so silent..." he didn't know why Starclan started to act this way towards them. The young tom had started his training not too long after Bucknight came to power and around when Blazingnight did, meaning the Dark Forest was already growing more powerful and forcing Starclan away. But how could he know that? "But still, doesn't mean that we should turn from Starclan, right? I mean, the clans have followed their guidance for countless moons and it's not a tradition that could be easily broken," but even as he said this, Northpaw's voice shook ever so slightly.

But what if Starclan hasn't been so silent? What if they had to do with the floods and the fires...?

Hiddenpaw relaxed a little as Stormpaw sat upwards and looked less tense. After the fire, he had been a little jumpy himself, which was quote odd for the courageous young tom. The cream and white apprentice settled himself down as well favoring his injured leg. "I just wanted to thank you," he spoke with a little more confidence in his tone now. His amber hues studied her expressions as he spoke, although it was hard to tell he was doing such a thing "you know... For helping me during that crisis," he spoke. The idea he had gotten help made him uncomfortable. It wasnt something he did... Or did often. He was quite stubborn, but he might've been dead right now if Stormpaw hadn't stumbled upon him. "I'm Hiddenpaw, also" he finished, introducing himself with a small dip of his head. Hiddenpaw certainly owed this she cat something.

Echokit purred with delight at his reaction. "ha! I did get you!" her tail shot straight up and she stood up herself. Her hues were bright despite his bristling fur. Seeing his normally sleek pelt ruffled only encouraged her behavior. Staying where she was, the tabby kit watched and listened, assuming he didn't mean the fire when he asked his question. She thought for a moment before she thought of something exciting. "one more moon and I'll be an apprentice!" she boasted, fluffing out her chest with pride. It was only a matter of time before she would be out there training with all the other apprentices. "How about you?" she asked, settling herself down with her tail wrapped around her paws neatly now.

"It's nice to officially meet you, Hiddenpaw. I'm Stormpaw," She introduced herself, a polite smile visible on the she cat's features. The silver pelted cat kept her blue hues fixed on Hiddenpaw, hoping that it wasn't going to make him too uncomfortable. She knew that her ice blue gaze was a little...strange, but that was generally just part of who she was. "Thank you for coming, I appreciate it...I know some cats most likely would have forgotten all about me by now." Stormpaw mewed, her smile disappearing and a calm, unpenetrable glance coming over her expression.

"Hm. Well, I'll get you back at some point- you'll see." Dragonkit purred, his tail twitching back and forth as he did so. He did believe that at some point he would get Echokit back- perhaps not as soon as he would like, but maybe he would be able to figure it out at some point. "Aw, I've got two moons to go! Lucky," Dragonkit exclaimed with a fake pout. The young tom's blue hues sparked at Echokit, however, showing that he wasn't upset at all. "So...what do you think of...the new leader?" He asked in a more careful voice, his mind turning to the new leader of the Clan. Ratnight. What was there to think about him? He seemed like he would make ThunderClan stronger, and as Dragonkit already didn't have much of a belief in StarClan and didn't really have much of an opinion on the changes Ratnight was bringing, he was fine with the new leader. The young tom had an interested expression, remembering that Echokit and him were more different than he thought sometimes, and she might believe Ratnight to be more evil than Dragonkit did.

Autumnleaf sighed, laying down in the soft comforts of the moss nest in the Nursery, holding her kits close to her warm, golden-brown fur. Ever since the whole fire incident, the small she-cat had been awfully quiet lately, mainly tending to her kittens and not talking to others, even her own mate. The american bobtail gave a sigh, closing her eyes for a moment and nudging each of her little ones as she made sure they were fed and warm. As an apprentice, the she-cat suffered from depression ever since her parents were killed and her mate got his powers. It hadn’t affected her much since Lightningclaw and her actually started a family, but now it was slowly coming back. The horrible sinking feeling deep within her chest, but she didn’t let it show much, just keeping to her family with a slight twitch of her whiskers now and then.

She smiles, shaking her head. "I'm fine Owlfall. We're all fine." She doesn't bring up that she has burned paws from the fire.

"Are you sure? I was so worried about you during the fire. I hated having to leave you , but the kits needed help getting out of the nursery. " he said , unnecessarily explaining himself to the she cat. Owlfall smiled sheepishly and just bent his head to lick each kits head gently

Storkpaw thought for a moment. His mentor had never really trained him personally, so he had spent many times tagging along with his older brother, but now Barkskip was a warrior, and that plan didn't work anymore. "I don't know, probably and other moon or two, I think." He meowed uncertainly. After the tom had become an apprentice, he really didn't care about how old he was, it was just one if those things he didn't think about as often as he did when he was a kit.
"Oh really?" Owlkit cocked her head to the side, looking much more relaxed now. "I should be an apprentice soon, I'm gonna be six moons old really, really soon," The young kit purred with a look of pride in her grey blue hues. She looked more excited than before, mainly because the thought of being an apprentice had cheered her up quite a bit. It wasn't only the thought of everything else she would be able to do, it was the knowledge that she would finally be able to do something to help her Clan. "I'm super excited, just in case you hadn't noticed," She mewed in a bit more of a teasing tone, her hues sparkling a little more now. She was definitely beginning to be much more relaxed and comfortable, and she smiled a little more, her distressed expression fading from her face completely.

Storkpaw had picked up on her change of mood, and was happy that she was happy again, instead of worrying about the future. He knew it wasn't her place to worry about that stuff, she was too young to have to worry about it, but sadly, they did now. They had to live under Ratnight and wonder what the future would hold. "That's great. And yeah, totally haven't noticed you were excited." He joked giving her a friendly jab in the side with his paw. "So..." he trailed off. "Before this whole fire takeover thing, we were talking about..oh what was it.... Apprentice mischief I believe?" He gave her a sly grin, his tail tip beginning to flick. "Ever done any of that yourself?"

Owlkit asked, cocking her head to the side and wondering what her friend was going to say. Storkpaw seemed like the kind of cat who would have gotten into some mischief before. Especially knowing what he could do now. The small brown and white kit had nearly forgotten about the fire, and Ratnight, and all of the problems the Clan was facing at the moment, which she was very, very glad of. It wasn't much fun for a kit like her, or soon to be apprentice, to be worrying about the future of the Clan. She shouldn't be worrying about it, in fact- not until it was her duty to. But right now, with everything going on, it was hard for her not to. Still, the mention of mischief had gotten her mind off of the subject at hand and onto a new one that she was only all too happy to discuss.

The second he fell to the ground Honeykit took her chance. She kicked off the ground with her hind paws, making large clouds of dust poof up from behind her.
Ashenkit gave another mew of surprise, with a surprised expression as Honeykit landed on top of him, pinning him to the ground. "Arrgh! I have been beaten!" He mewed dramatically, falling limply and allowing her to pin him to the ground with a distressed expression. His blue hues twinkled, and he looked up at Honeykit with an almost pleading expression. He looked completely lost for a moment as his blue hues strayed from her face, going towards the side before fixing themselves back on her. He waited for her reaction, his expression pretty much completely pleading with her, although for what, he was unsure. Perhaps he was pleading with her to let him up, that he was no longer a threat and that the game was over; either that or he was trying to trick her into a false sense of security, something like that.

Hiddenpaw frowned a little at her words, surely that was a lie? Any cat would remember their rescuer... Well any decent cat that was. "well I didn't," he replied with after the small pause between speaking. The apprentice noticed her gaze shift towards his leg and suddenly he was self-conscious. He shifted on his hutches slightly to hide it now, his amber hues moving away from her and towards the clearing so he didn't show his discomfort. "Well, Stormpaw," he began after a few heartbeats, "how much more training do you need?" he asked but soon regretted it considering he was so close to becoming a warrior and now he had to wait to continue once his leg had healed. Starclan knew how long that would be.

Echokits eyes glimmered slightly staring at the ebony kit. "I'd like to see you try," she threatened playfully. She batted at his twitching tail now, bored of simply sitting there chatting. Although her ears pricked at his next comment "I'll show you some moves while you're still in the nursery!" she puffed out her chest teasingly. Although that went away and her gaze narrowed slightly thinking about Ratnight now. How did she feel about the new leader? Well she certainly didn't support his ideas. She didn't like he turned his back on their ancestors, but she couldn't hate him. "I guess I don't support him. I can't hate him, but I don't have to like him either," she replied simply. The playfulness was gone now.

(Alright well I suppose we might as well start xD)

Stormpaw averted her blue hues from his gaze, looking anywhere but at the tom. She was a little nervous, as she always was when talking to a new cat. Although she shouldn't be quite as worried about talking to him, she had rescued him after all, and he had come to thank her...that showed that he was a decent cat and not someone who she should be really nervous around after all."Hm? Oh, I would say a good few more moons...I'm not exactly the best cat to become a warrior," She laughed a little nervously. "I tend to be a little clumsy sometimes." She finished with a shrug, shifting her weight a little uncomfortably. Why'd I tell him that? Oh well, not like it matters- he seems friendly enough, surely he won't just randomly change his personality now, right? The silver apprentice thought, allowing her blue hues to stray back to Hiddenpaw. "And you?" She asked politely, wondering whether she was doing the right thing by doing so. After all, his injury looked pretty painful and like something that might keep him from training.

"Ha. Give me a chance and I will!" He purred boastfully, the young tom puffing his chest out in a regal manner, his expression more prideful than before. A small smirk came onto the tom's features, although he was partly hiding it. "Humph. Or maybe I'll be showing you new moves. Ones you've never heard of before! And I'll be able to sneak up on you for the rest of your life- payback for this," The tom purred, his ebony pelt catching the light and making it shine in a quite unnatural manner. He didn't like it when it did that; it made him feel strange, as though there were something wrong with him. "Hm. Well, I think he could make ThunderClan stronger...I mean, his beliefs are a little questionable but he looks like he might at least be able to make us rise above the other Clans. Right?" Dragonkit asked the last part mainly to himself, as though thinking out loud. His black tail twitched back and forth and his expression became more thoughtful as he spoke. "Anyway, what do you want to talk about- or do- now?" He asked. The conversation at hand was not the best for a developing friendship, especially since their beliefs might vary, and he wouldn't want to upset Echokit- not after having come this far in their friendship.

Hawkfeather sat in the clearing, the tabby's blue hues looking out over it. Her expression was pretty thoughtful, and her stance seemed to radiate confidence and friendliness. She looked as though she could never be upset, at least at that particular moment in time she did. The tip of her tail began to twitch back and forth a little worriedly, although her expression and stance did not betray any of her inner worries. The tabby's hues sparkled for a moment before going back to their original friendly stance, and she dipped her head in greeting to other cats walking by her. Her tail continued to move at a rapid speed, and she seemed almost kit-like in the joy that she took at doing so. It was a little weird for her to be acting so kit-like, but then again perhaps it wasn't. Hawkfeather was always doing semi-odd things like that, and she was especially fond of doing things that made other cats so confused. She liked saying that this was one of "her things," something that she did.

A shaft of light shone through the clouds that carpeted the sky, illuminating, slightly, Yewberry's off-white coat of wool. He smiled, warmed and soothed by the heat of the sun, when most of the day had been dark and uneventful. His tail twitched and snaked over to cover his hind legs and warm him further. He guess that rock he was atop wasn't helping much either.

He pulled forward his ears and listened to the sounds of the camp. There was a conversation or two around the entrance, a herd of apprentices by the southern side of the clearing. He liked his life in RiverClan. A lot. His golden optics landed on the pile of prey in the western quarter of the clearing and he frowned. It looked low, a thrush or two, some carp and a small salmon were among the kind of feed offered to his Clan. He opened his mouth and spoke out to the felines gathered by the entrance.

"Anyone up for a hunt by the ThunderClan border?," the Selkirk Rex invited to the gathered, friendly.

He meowed, a mix of emotions in his voice. "I was worried sick, but I know that's not your fault, so don't even fret about me blaming that on you." The old tom laid his tail on his apprentice's shoulder, "I went back to the original camp and brought back as many of the herbs as I could but the fire really messed up a lot of them." He sounded sad, like the herbs were his family or something. "But I don't blame you for not grabbing any, even I barely had enough time to grab some before I had to get out of there. I'm just glad you got out safe." There was a moment of pause. "You are alright, right? No burns? Any coughing from smoke?" The medicine cat turned his full attention to Northpaw, poking and proding him for injuries like a worried mother.

Charmpelt padded into the Clearing, spotting Yewberry as he did so. The Chausie cocked his head to one side, for a moment appearing almost worried before he began to approach the tom. He heard Yewberry talking before he began to approach the tom. "I'll come," He offered in a pretty quiet voice. He didn't sound exactly eager to come, although he was. He gave a pretty bright smile towards the tom, cocking his head to the side once more. Charmpelt's name suited him, although he rarely used his "charms" on someone he was hoping to become a friend. He was quite the flirt, although thankfully for Yewberry, he didn't have much of an interest in other toms.

He had never really thought about it before, and he especially didn't believe that he would take an interest even if he had thought of it. "That is, if you don't mind going with me." He smirked, his expression pretty calm at the moment. The Chausie curled his tail around his paws, settling down across from the thick pelted tom near him. His tail tip flipped neatly over his paws, making him look slightly younger than he actually was. His tail continued to twitch as he waited for Yewberry's reply, keeping his gaze fixed firmly on the tom as he did so with a slight smirk on his maw.

Yewberry smiled, was happy that someone had taken an interest in the offer. Though, he wasn't so sure he was knowing of the tomcat that had agreed. Charmpelt was a handsome feline, a timber-hued Chausie with faint tabby stripes running down his pelt in sporadic places, more comed and kept than Yewberry himself. Perhaps, though, he had run into Charmpelt before, hunting or chatting for a moment, but never really become friends with the tom. Yewberry grinned at the remark from the male thinking only that he'd enjoy his company in the wood.

"Off we go then," The Selkirk Rex declared, leaping down off the stone he'd been atop. His hind legs, as if a suspension for the machine of his body, broke his fall and his paws brought him quickly over to the oaky feline. With a nod, Yew twitched his tail towards the entrance and started the trek into the dense forest, the taste of mouse making his mouth water, making his nose drink in the synthesized scent of prey.Though they existed only in his mind, the wooly tomcat had a very primitive feeling that going out on a hunt always sparked, he was excited to serve his Clan.

Apurva sat alone in a corner of the clearing, watching the Clan-ers go about, not even noticing her. She was rather glad for that, because she didn't feel like explaining to anybody what she was doing in the camp. The explanation was very long and she didn't want to talk that much at the moment. Her throat was still raw from the smoke, and her paws ached from the long and wearisome journey she'd taken to get Lionpaw back to his family. She might explain if she saw the brown tabby tom she happened to be scanning the area for, but there were too many cats for her to make out any individual cats' pelts and scents, as they were all mingled together and just a big blurr. She'd only explain if he asked though. For a moment, she thought she scented him and she raised her head, about to call out his name, but then she hesitated. What if it wasn't him? The black and red patched tuxedo molly sighed and stood up. “Timberpaw?” she called as loud as she could without breaking into a wheezing cough from the smoke, her eyes wide. What if he hadn't survived the fires?

"Good thing I've got a friend like you who'll show me the good spots in case, as you said, my future mentor were to want to keep them to themselves," Owlkit mewed with the faintest grin upon her maw. Her hues met Storkpaw's own, all traces of pain gone from them and replaced by excitement and intrigue.
Storkpaw beamed at her. He liked her personality. She wasn't like some of the she cats he had met in the apprentices den, stuck up, self centered and just a tad but vain. He liked that Owlkit wasn't afraid of doing wrong, that she liked adventure, she stayed strong instead of getting purposefully wispy washy on him, like so many others had done in trying to flirt with him. He rose to his paws and began to take the lead towards the entrance tunnel, black and white ringed tail waving high above him joyfully. "Alrighty then, right this way to some of the best places you'll ever ipsee in Thinderclan!" He called out joyfully as he picked up his pace and moved out into the territory.
(Shall we continue in the TC territory?)

Her tail shot in the air as she let out a yowl of victory. Her dark blue hues shined with triumph until her gaze met his. Honeykit blinked frozen for a moment. He's tricked me before, going limp... But once she saw the pleading look in his eyes she knew she didn't want to push the game too far. She studied him for a long moment wanting to be sure he wasn't tricking her again but even he looked unsure. I can't read him! Mouse-dung. The ginger kit started to step off Ashenkit, letting her guard completely down, as she awaited the gray kits next move.

The young tom was glad that Zerosight wasn't mad at him, but rather pleased that he had survived the fire. He watched his mentor his mentor, and wondered how worried he had been when they couldn't find each other. Northpaw had been so worried - even feeling a bit sick at the thought of Zerosight not making it out of the flames - and could see that Zero had been scared as well. He was glad that they had both made it out. Glad Zero was fine, and knew that his own death would affect his mentor in a negative manner.

His amber orbs flicked towards the herbs as the black tom explained that he tried to salvage as many of them as he could, but the damage caused by the fire had left many of them beyond use. "I'm sure we'll be able to collect more..." though he was sure the two of them was aware that was unlikely. The fire hadn't just attacked their camp, but their territory as well. It would've taken out the plants and herbs with it. "Maybe some of the other clans would be willing to spare us some when they know what happened and that we lost many herbs that are needed - especially at a time like this," he suggested, but his gaze was somber.

Northpaw returned his gaze towards Zerosight, and gave a small sigh. "I just wished I had grabbed something," not only did the fire destroy their supply and probably a lot they could've collected as replacements, but it was getting colder and leaf-bare was looming ahead. Any hope of new herbs would be murdered by the frost. Everything is falling apart... the floods from before, the recent fire, soon leaf-bare, and Ratnight's proclamation about turning away from Starclan... is this all Starclan's fault or had they just simply turned from the clans like they were doing to them? These thoughts scared the dark tom.

He was snapped from his thoughts when his mentor stated he was just glad to see that Northpaw was alright, than asked in a worried manner if he actually was alright. The charcoal tom gave a small laugh as Zerosight prodded at him, similar to a panicked parent would. "No, I am fine - I breathed in some smoke, but we all have, and I'm not coughing..." he glanced at his back right leg. "By hindleg was a bit burnt, though there must be others will worse injuries," but he hoped that was far from the truth due to their lack of herbs. "But never mind me, are you alright?" As much as his mentor could get around without much trouble, the tom was still blind. He must've been scared by the sudden fire and not able to see what was going, North thought sympathetically. And he hoped that the older cat was able to get out with little to no injuries.

@Lonestar23 (http://warriorcatsonline.com/forums/member.php?u=42)
Timberpaw padded into the clearing, the brown tabby's generally neat pelt messy at the moment. For the time being, he didn't feel much like looking as though he actually cared about taking care of himself and his appearance. For the moment being, he was content to look a little less than his general standards. A familiar voice called out to him, and Timberpaw's head raised up in alarm as his ears swiveled around to the source of the call, his head following quickly afterwards and his green hues rested themselves on the black and red she cat sitting in another corner of camp. Apurva. He thought, his paws carrying him quickly over towards her as his eyes seemed to almost gleam with a new, inner light. "Apurva! Wh- what are you doing here, someone could catch you! It's not safe, especially with-" He cut himself off and lowered his voice to ensure that no one else would hear the two cats talking. "Especially with Ratnight as the new leader..." He mewed in a low tone, glancing around him to make sure that there were no cats who looked like they might turn him in for speaking badly about the new leader. Ratnight. He did not agree with the decisions that he had made, and he wasn't a fan of them either. It was pretty frustrating for him, to be honest...but then again, perhaps that was just another part of him speaking. He waited for Apurva to explain, hoping that no one else would see her there and end up turning her in to Ratnight.

She blinked and tilted her head. “I know it's dangerous and I shouldn't be here....” the loner began, speaking in a low whisper to Timberpaw. “I'm here because, during the fire, I helped saved some cats, and brought one of them here. The journey took longer than expected and I was too tired to go back. Only you've noticed me so far.” she explained cautiously. She scanned the area, but thankfully nobody noticed, or if they did, they didn't seem to care. She flicked her ears, glad that he seemed alright. He didn't look hurt, at least, as far as she could tell. He looked a bit messy, but otherwise fine. She fluffed up her fur against a chilly breeze and to hide all the burns she'd gotten from rescuing Lionpaw from under the burning tree. She didn't want to show her pain. She felt just fine, and honestly, she didn't want to be worried about. It wasn't important at the moment. There were more important matters. “And... I thought the Clans were safe? Aren't they safe? What happened? Who's Ratnight?” her questions tumbled out as she wondered what was going on. Why wasn't ThunderClan safe, and why did all the cats look scared? Sure, there had been a fire, and most likely a lot of cats had died, but they didn't look as sad as they looked scared. She was very confused. Something was quite obviously wrong, and she wanted to know what it was that was scaring all the cats, though.... As she looked closer, others looked happy and pleased, giving the scared ones disgusted and hateful looks, or snarling at them. She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts.[/FONT]

He was worried that someone might end up turning Apurva in, for reasons that would most likely be unknown to him. "But just to be on the safe side...you haven't- spoken to anyone, have you?" He asked, realizing that she would probably be much safer if she kept her identity hidden. Timberpaw explained, his worried green hues looking around at the other cats. He didn't like seeing the Clan torn apart like this. When Ashstar was alive, this had never happened. Now it seemed that they were dividing over the new leader, beliefs, and fears. He could only hope that this wouldn't last long. Perhaps someday, the Clan would reunite and forget about their separate beliefs or something, hopefully allowing ThunderClan to become stronger once more and not only that, but maybe someday Ratnight would see that it was better to believe in their warrior ancestors. Timberpaw curled his tail around his paws, almost wrapping himself in as though to try and get away from the rest of the Clan.

Well now, where were we- oh yeah." Ashenkit purred, before flinging his whole body towards Honeykit and aiming to pin her. He was glad that she trusted him, but this was a battle- at least, it was a fake battle- and trust was not going to be gained easily, not unless the words 'I surrender' were said first. Ashenkit's blue hues gleamed a little and he began to purr, as he landed on top of Honeykit and pinned her to the ground. "Surrender?" He asked in a pleased tone, hoping that she would say yes.

"Maybe Starclan has abandoned us- maybe we need to fend for our own. Those fires, we didn't get any signs about them- maybe they think that the time of the clans has ended, that they're shutting us out in order to make us scatter, for us to end up panicking without their guidance. But if we try and stand strong without their help, we can push through, and keep living our own lives as if nothing happened." Sighing, Twitepaw knew that if a medicine cat were to join their side- the side of the Evil Era- it would be invaluable. They had so much footing in the clan, and though they'd be hard to convince, it was worth a shot. "Besides..." She purred, giving off a fake smile. "You're really nice. You don't deserve to be tricked into worshipping our own ancestors, who have abandoned us for several moons now- you're a medicine apprentice, and you still haven't seen them, y'know? It's shady." Her tail flicked with content as she talked, eyes burning with kindness that she hated to fake- it felt repulsive, but it was useful, at least.

Empress Of Evil

Shouldering her way out of the warriors den, the rather larger and sturdy dark-furred female made her way out into the clearing, her face stony and cold, barren of a smile like it usually was unless she was in the middle of a good spar. But obviously, she wasn't in the middle of any sort of spar or fight, she was just waking up and padding into the clearing.
Letting out a heavy huff, she flopped down near the fresh kill pile, eyeing it for a moment before finally giving in and snagging a small mouse, fixating it between her paws before ravenously and albeit somewhat violently in silence.
Maybe I'll go out and do some practice moves in the territory or something, maybe see if someone wants to fight. I just hope something interesting happens, I can't stand these boring days, everyone seems down in the dumps since Ratnight took over. Who cares if they outlaw Starclan? We're still Thunderclan, just because we can't talk about our ancestors or whatever doesn't mean we're any less strong.
Thought the dark grey tabby, her yellow eyes focused on the ground as she continued to eat her breakfast, her well defined muscles rippling beneath her short coat as she really dug into that peace of prey, really demolishing it.
There always seemed to be anger in everything she did, or perhaps just an overabundance of strength in whatever she did and that truly made her one of the most heavily-muscled and strongest she-cats of the clan.
But due to her aggression, she really hasn't befriended any cat, not that she cares, but it was something worth noting about her. She was a 'lone cat' so to speak, she didn't need the aid of others to do things, she didn't need support or kind words, she just got things done. And that was both admirable and bad.
Though despite her aggression, Cormorantstone would fight till her last breath for her clan, Thunderclan was a clan she was proud to be in and proud to fight for. It was her home and never for a second would anyone ever doubt her loyalty. Though her loyalty to Starclan was questionable, her loyalty to Thunderclan was not.

... Is she right? He couldn't help but feel her words pierce his heart, amber orbs widened as she began, but slowly seemed to melt into a more hopeless expression as she started to make sense. He may not have been born into Thunderclan, but he still cared for Starclan as if he had. He followed their ancestors that resided in the stars, caring for them even if he knew none of them - he was loyal to the clans' former way of life before Ratnight, still extremely suspicious of the leader.

Yet Starclan was silent. They had done little to help the clan lately. They couldn't stop the floods or the fires - there wasn't even as much of a warning from them. And now they remained silent ad Ratnight turned the clan away from them and spat on their name in hatred. They seemed to have turned on the clans moons ago.

But it didn't make sense. He shook charcoal and brown tinted head at her words now. "No. Starclan is our ancestors - well, the clans' ancestors - and I highly doubt that they would want the clans to end," his orbs looked like they were still searching for answers. "They have always looked out for us, it wasn't until the leader's started to have these strange names that Starclan wanted nothing to do with us. Strange names like Bucknight and Blazingnight - and now Ratnight... don't you see? The clans probably have driven away Starclan!" Northpaw realized that he was raising his voice. he was mad at Ratnight for driving the clan's beloved Starclan away.

He blushed slightly at her compliment for him, use to only Crescentmoon and Zerosight complimenting him. He never truly got use to the compliments - probably because he always thought he was never good enough for them. "I understand how it looks... but like I said, they were driven out of the clans'. I can understand you're thinking though, and I don't see how we could possibly bring them back..." was Starclan still watching over them in some way? If one was to die, would they join their ancestors or be stuck wondering like lost souls? He shivered just thinking about it. "I know I must live on without them, but that doesn't mean that I'm abandoning them. I'm not being tricked or anything like that, but rather just standing by my beliefs and hopes."

Apurva blinked, then gave him a nervous half smile. “I did talk to one or two cats, but that was during the fire and the rain, and only one of them knows I'm here.” she meowed rather sheepishly. She glanced around. There seemed to be some kind of tension in the air. She knew that it would eventually snap, and fights would break out. If it wasn't stopped, massive fights, battles, death. If it wasn't stopped, that would be the only way to stop it, and the tensions were so great that she doubted fights were avoidable. She looked down at her paws. “But it's fine. Nobody else seems to notice, and it's better than being somewhere else. Except maybe TwolegPlace. I might be safe there. She thought, then shook her head to clear her thoughts. The black red and white molly wasn't sure what she was supposed to do, or what was the best thing to do. Apurva wondered how things were going to work out, and she almost wondered if she'd ever survive this, and what she'd chosen to do would eventually lead to her death. She flicked her tail, annoyed with herself. She shouldn't be thinking about these things. They were beyond her control, so why worry about them until there was something she could do. She dropped into a half crouch, tucking her forepaws under her chest and tensing her hind legs in case she had to leap up and run at any moment. She decided it was better to be safe than sorry, as sorry would fix nothing, and safe could stop the problem at its roots. “Are you hurt? Or will you be aslright?” she asked, though uncertain if that was the right things to to ask him, but it was too late to take back those words, so she waited, letting them hang in the air until her answered her.

The blind tom slowly stopped proding his apprentice, satified when he checked the wounds that Northpaw had mentioned. He chewed a small bit of comfrey he had and placed the poultice on the burn wound, just in case. The tom pressed his nose to Northpaw's shoulder for a moment, letting his worry slip away. "I might have to start following you around like a mother duck..." He murmured, pulling away. The tom began to sort the herbs again, his paws quick and efficient.

"Surgestorm's territory caught on fire as well, so we should probably visit him and make sure things are alright over there..." He suddenly murmured, worried about his WindClan friend. "And we can also make a plan with him about getting the herbs we'll need for winter. It'll most likely involve a trip to see Geckoleaf and Bravestep." He realized for the first time in awhile that they had skipped the last few halfmoons because they had all been so busy. However, now they weren't even allow to go to the Starcave now that Ratnight was leader. Northpaw deserves to get his full medicine cat name... but is that worth breaking the rules to do? He paused in his work, closing his eyes. Northpaw has always been worth it.

After a moment, the tom turned away in a bout of coughing, weezing in air afterwards. "Just smoke inhalation..." He murmured, finally answering his apprentice's question about his health. He hadn't wanted to worried Northpaw, but now it had given itself away. "I couldn't get used to not having to scent the air in order to know where I was going, so I kept doing that on accident and kept sucking in more smoke. I had one of the warriors help me find my way out of camp, so I wasn't burnt or anything." The older tom took a shaky breath in and let it out, his throat aching in protest.

Northpaw offered a smile when his mentor finally stepped back and had ended his worried prodding. He watched as Zerosight grabbed some comfrey for his burn He was about to tell his mentor not to both with him - their clanmates may need the herbs more than he did - but the medicine cat was already chewing the leave up into a pulp and applying them to the apprentice. "Thanks," he breathed as he felt the herbs on his burnt leg. He let his amber gaze slip towards the herbs behind Zerosight, trying to figure out if they had enough comfrey and other herbs to last them for a bit. Though he doubted it.

He gave a little blush as his mentor stated that he was going to have to follow him around like a mother duck. "I don't think that's necessary," he mumbled embarrassed. He had to admit that these moons spent with Zerosight training and bonding has made him see the older tom as kind of like a parents. "I'm not a helpless kit..." he glanced away, but gave a small smile. He was separated from his family at such a young age and hadn't enough time to get truly close to them like he felt towards Zerosight. And in a way it was nice to see how worried and caring his mentor was towards him as well.

His eyes widened when Zerosight turned to continue sorting through the herbs and mentioned that Windclan had also been scorched by flames. "Oh no," he breathed, looking scared. How many clans were affect? "I-Is Suregestorm okay? Was he hurt during the fire?" Even if they hadn't spoke much and only saw each other at gathers, he like the lovable and happy young medicine cat of Windclan. Northpaw hoped that Windclan didn't get it bad, nor the other clans, and that everyone would be fine. Part of him even started to think about Dapplestar - it was during the fire that Ratnight had become leader through circumstances he still doubted, and hoped that they same did not happen to Windclan's leader.

The dark tabby's ears perked when Zerosight suggested that they team up with Surgestorm to go ask Bravestep and Geckoleaf about offering them some herbs for leaf-bare. "If they weren't affected by the fire than I'm sure they
ll be able to spare some for us and Surgstorm," he wondered how much they will have to spare. Hopefully just enough... having extra herbs for back up isn't a luxury we can have at this time. "But the clan will be fine, right? I mean, not just herbs but also for prey... we're strong... right?" Worry clear in his autumn shaded gaze.

Though his worry shifted a bit when his mentor broke into a coughing fit. "Zero!" He stepped forward, his gaze wide. His tail twitched when Zerosight attempted to comfort him by shrugging it off as nothing. Northpaw furrowed his brows and listened to Zerosight's quick story about how he got out of the fire and inhaled so much smoke. "I should've been there with you, should've made sure you got out.... Stop this, I'll sort through the herb, you should rest and not busy yourself since it'll just make it worse," he laid his charcoal tail on the dark tom's shoulder's, trying to gently herd him towards his nest. He felt so guilty about not helping his mentor out of camp during the fire, mad he let them get separating in the frenzy.

Leafkit shivered as the cold leaf-fall wind seeped into his fur, chilling his bones. Rain splashed on his nose, as he pawed at a pebble, not seeming quite interested in playing without someone playing with him as, he didn't want anyone to be left out. Playing would get him warm, anyone with enough sense knew that, but is it really any fun without someone else to play with? His brown and dark gray splotched tabby tail twitched, making a bit of mud fly in the process. His leaf green orbs looked thoughtful,as they usually always did. Leafkit lowered his head, staring at the light grey pebble, it was his very favorite one, one that would round, not sharp, and didn't cut his paws like one did last moon, the tom kit thought with a slight annoyance, he created alot of fuss for ONE scratch, but at least Zerosight was able to heal the it, a sigh of final relieve escaped the small kit, and he looked more mature than most kits. Leafkit clumsily sat down, wincing at the hard landing. Ow.

Hawkfeather was always doing semi-odd things like that, and she was especially fond of doing things that made other cats so confused. She liked saying that this was one of "her things," something that she did.
Hiddenpaw's ears flicked every now and again as he listened to the she-cat speak. He was actually stunned that the apprentice didn't have confidence in herself to think she wouldn't be a good warrior. "Sure you are," he started, staring at her with a head tilt. His alabaster ears were pricked solely towards the apprentice now. "I think you just need to train harder. Every warrior has a good skill, and every warrior has a skill they need to improve on," he continued. Hiddenpaw sounded very mature at this point, although he allowed the pause to happen as she questioned him back about his own training. When he thought back on it now, he began to wonder when Whitewing would give him his assessment. It had to be soon. "I shouldn't have much longer. Whitewing just needs to give me my assessment," the young tom's chest puffed back out proudly as he thought of finally earning his warrior name. He could only imagine what his leader would give him.

Slowly, her serious expression became carefree and playful again. His threats gave her a new challenge to be aware of and that seemed to cheer her up. "You couldn't sneak up on me! I can hear everything around me!" of course this was an over-exaggeration, but it suited the conversation they were having at that moment. She had to make herself sound like the better future apprentice. "You couldn't show me anything I don't already know either!" Echokit's voice was very teasing, although she almost believed the words that tumbled out of her mouth. Although just as soon as she thought they were gonna have a good conversation, the mention of Ratnight again soured her emotions. The brown and white tabby became silent, her blue hues flickering uneasy feelings as she thought about his words. Was that how Dragonkit really thought of the leader? She didn't grasp how he'd help Thunderclan rise up and a sharp remark rolled off the tip of her tongue, "Yeah through war and torture," she looked away immediately. Unsure what to do now, she scuffed the ground with her forepaw and kept her gaze focused on the ground. She didn't want to bother answering his question, she only hoped he could cheer her back up again.

Wrenclaw was peacefully eating a mouse. Well it appeared peaceful. Between each bite, the tom-cat watched the blood ooze from his prey onto his paws and finally onto the ground. Blood intrigued him in more ways than you'd think, most of those ways are bad. Although at last when he finished, he began to groom his paws, insuring they were spotless. His blue hues were constantly scanning the clearing. Something or someone interesting had to show up. A she-cat in particular would be nice. He loved flirting. Love it. Sure, it got him into trouble, but the handsome tom-cat didn't care. There was a sadistic reason for his actions, but to everyone outside his own mind, he looked like your average, loyal Thunderclan cat. Now the warrior was licking his lips and whiskers, clearing any scraps and cleaning the blood stains around his mouth. He did this several times to insure that he was clean. The taste of mouse was still strong on his taste buds and he almost wanted it gone now. Perhaps going into the territory to get a drink would be the best idea, he thought to himself, already getting to his paws.

Silvercloud padded through the camp entrance. It was still quite early in the morning but most of the warriors were awake. She could see a few apprentices pouncing on each others tails near the apprentices den. Silvercloud couldn't help but feel a little envious of them, though she didn't show it. She missed her days an apprentice. She felt more....carefree. She felt as though less was expected of her and she didn't have to be so much of a role model. Being a warrior was definitely great, but being an apprentice just gave cats that little bit of....excitement. The excitement and enthusiasm to learn the ways of a warrior. The tabby she cat turned her attention away from the apprentices as their mentors came along and took them away for training. She realised she still held two mice in her mouth. The ones she had caught even earlier that morning. She walked over towards the fresh kill pile and carefully put one of the mice onto the pile while keeping the other in her mouth. Silvercloud then looked around, straightening herself in the process. She could see her clanmates starting to bustle around busily, attending to their duties. She searched for a spot of which she could sit down. And she found one. It was a quiet spot, not many cats crowded around that area. There were only one or two. Silvercloud started to walk over as she felt her mouth watering from the scent of the mouse.
Silvercloud settled down comfortably, placing down the mouse in front of her. She quickly glanced around her and only saw another cat near her. That's Cormorantstone isn't it?, Silvercloud thought. She only recognised the she cat because of the muscle that ripple through her arms. She wasn't very familiar with Cormorantstone, as she had only seen her once or twice around the camp. She had never had a conversation with the burly she cat. She wondered if she should talk to the darkfurred warrior, seeing as Cormorantstone sat quite near. But she decided not to. Silvercloud didn't really view Cormorantstone as a cat who would have a nice peaceful conversation with a cat like her.

Zerosight nodded in response to his thanks, not trusting his voice to make proper sounds at the moment. He coughed again, flattening his ears to the top of his head. The medicine cat suddenly wished he had some honey to sooth his throat, but they had been low on it before the fire and now they were completely out. Their comfrey, marigold, and cobweb stock were almost completely gone, and they were low on every other herb. It was going to be a difficult winter, for him and for Surgestorm if his territory had been burnt to a crisp too.

"I know, Northpaw..." He murmured thoughtfully. "You're almost all grown up now." The medicine cat cast out a smile, already planning the apprentice's ceremony in his head. We should do it after everything settles down. Maybe we can sneak out to the Starcave whilest Ratnight and his followers are busy sleeping.

"I'm pretty sure Surgestorm is alright, I've only heard rumors of the fire spreading out as far as WindClan. So the other clans were saved from it," He explained, but he actually didn't know for sure. They'd have to find out when they went to talk to Surge and the other medicine cats. Hopefully, one of the territories had been spared so that they still had a few herbs to collect. "ThunderClan is strong... as long as things go smoothy during leaf-bare, everything should be fine..."

The old tom opened his mouth to protest as Northpaw herded him over to his nest, but realized just how tired he was as he sank into the comforting moss. The tom also knew that Northpaw could handle sorting through the rest of the herbs. "But... we need to go talk to Surgestorm. I have to help you get there..." He objected, trying to stand up again. However, getting all worked up just made him cough some more.

He gave another small blush as Zerosight told him that he was growing up. Though the fact scared the young tom. He didn't want to grow up - if he did, than that meant that Zerosight was too... and he didn't want to think about being medicine cat without his mentor he cared for. He had let this fear keep creeping up on him, but the tom knew that someday he would succeed Zerosight, and the father-like tom wouldn't be around for him anymore. But like usual, he shoved the thought away, re-storing it to the back of his mind.

The tom gave a sign of relief at the news that Suregstorm was fine and that the other clans should not have felt the affect of the fire. Not only was it good for the other clans, but also could be for Thunderclan and Windclan is the others do in fact spare them some herbs for leaf-bare. Though part of him feared that maybe their leader's wouldn't allow them to offer any herbs. He hadn't really liked Bucknight and Blazingnight at the gather, and the feeling was worse now due to Ratnight.

Northpaw closed his eyes for a moment as Zerosight informed him that Thunderclan was string, and if they didn't run into any hiccups before leaf-bare is through than they will be alright. He was trying to think about what could go wrong during that time - after all, it is a full quarter of a year. They hardly has any herbs, and there was a chance they would use most, if not all, of them on the wounded from the recent fire. Plus, what if the clan gets green-cough before they have enough herbs? He hadn't lived through a green-cough outbreak, but didn't have to to know how dangerous it was.

But he just had to have faith.

As he brought his mentor to his nest, he had expected some kind of retort. Though he was surprised that Zerosight seemed to be accepting it, but he wasn't when the older tom brought up their trip to Surgestorm. He gave a soft smile and gently touched his nose to Zerosight's forehead in reassurance. "I can go by myself - medicine cats are aloud to cross borders as long as there's a reason, right? So I'll be fine," he waved it away with his tail, though he wasn't so sure of it himself. "Then we can talk about seeing Shadowclan and Riverclan about our need for herbs. And if you don't rest, than you won't get better - and I'm not letting you leave that nest until you're better, okay?" Seeing Zerosight sick was upsetting, but he couldn't forgive himself if he let his mentor get even worse.

Ashenkit slowly got to his paws, the grey tom eyeing Honeykit a little nervously as he did so, and pretty soon he got completely up, flicking the tip of his tail. "Thanks. At least, that was his guess...although he couldn't be sure. Sorry, Honeykit- don't be mad at me, please! His hues sparked with the words, although he didn't say anything out loud.
"I knew it!" She squeaked before being bowled over by the larger grey kit. Honeykit struggled under his weight, doing her best to push him off her back, but even with all her strength no avail. She turned her head so she could meet his blue gaze, "Never! Thunderclan never surrenders!" Her eyes sparked with playfulness but she didn't know how she was going to get out of Ashenkits grip. Suddenly she dug her small claws into the sandy ground, and with all her might, pulled her ginger body forward. While doing so Honeykit gave her back a shake, seeking to throw her friend off.

Littlerock padded out of the warrior's den, blinking in the light. He was hungry again- even though he'd eaten just before his nap. He blinked again and walked towards the fresh-kill pile, meaning to eat something small and hunt directly afterwards.

Juniperkit blinked then gave the other kit a soft smile "I'm saying that I may not be good enough to play. I wouldn't be very good at most games since they involve eyesight. But if you'd still like to play with me I guess I could try my hardest." he said and picked himself up and shook any dirt off "so...do you have any games in mind?" he asked, tilting his head to the side 'I made him sad because I was being rude, so i'll make it up to him.' he thought as he looked around, his pale green eyes raked across the clearing.

"...I... don't think so." Twitepaw shook her head quietly, trying to retain her calm demeanor and not get frustrated with herself, for failing to convince him of anything on her first try. "I don't think cats can get their nine lives without Starclan, right? Maybe they wouldn't let them take the prefix without their lives, without permission from their ancestors. It's not like they've done anything bad despite renouncing Starclan!" She didn't know about what had ended up happening in Windclan under the rule of Singenight- the only leader of the new era so far to start shedding blood, though she did understand the strange... evil tendencies of the new leaders, having tried to understand their own emotions- but she wasn't that good with reading faces, the older apprentice. All she could garner was that they were serious in their renouncing of Starclan.

"It seems unlikely that they'd all be taking the same suffix on purpose, rather than the fact that they might be being forced to take it, because they haven't recieived their nine lives at all."

fenic!

Northpaw only sighed at her words, giving a small shake of his head. "Twitepaw, you're smart... I understand where you're coming from, but I can't accept that," it was clear the look of determination in his autumn colored orbs. He didn't want to believed that Starclan abandoned them, that there was no hope that they were still assisted by the dead. Starclan could be dark, they do what they think is right for what they think is best - but he only knew the light side of Starclan, believing they could hardly wrong the clans in anyway.

Even if they did sometimes make these dark decisions, they weren't as bad as the Dark Forest.

"Besides, that's not what I need to be hearing right now. Thunderclan needs to be strong because-" he shut his mouth when he realized what he was about to say to her. He wanted to shield the clan from the truth of his fears. The clan was injured by the fire, both physically and mentally. They had barely any herbs - maybe not even enough from anyone burned in the sudden flames - and any they could collect would've been burnt as well. Plus, they might not even have enough prey since they had to move so much closer to the other clan's border. And to add to all of that, leaf-bare was looming ahead, and that was the hardest of all the seasons.

No. This was his and Zerosight's burden to carry, they shouldn't scare the clan by telling them how doomed they seemed to be. Like Zerosight said; if everything goes smoothly during leaf-bare, Thunderclan should be fine. We are strong. But the apprentice couldn't be as sure as his mentor was. Northpaw still had his fears for the future of his beloved clan. And he didn't want to worry them, what would that accomplish?

"I just want to know that everyone is fine after the fire, that's all," he flicked his tail and gave a forced laugh as he tried to cover suddenly cutting himself off mid-statement. Though He was terrible at lying.

The Cannibal

Normally, the dark tabby never paid attention much to the cats bustling around her, they simply just didn't catch her attention, unless of course, they were talking about battle tactics or anything having to deal with fighting or violence in general, which usually was not the case, but as she was finishing up her mouse in her ravenous fashion, she allowed herself to (in a rather bored fashion) take a gander around the clearing, see who was coming in, who was going out, what cats were doing and so on and so forth. Her dull yellow eyes bouncing from one cat to another, making quick judgements of their strength, deeming most of them boring before she focused her gaze on a particular she-cat that was just returning from what appeared to be a hunting trip. The warrior had stopped, staring at some playing apprentice's as if reminiscing her youthful days as one before eventually realizing that she looked rather silly (in her mind, she thought the word idiotic) and began making her way to the fresh kill pile again. Despite the warrior being close, Cormorantstone didn't divert her gaze but simply continued to stare at Silvercloud, not afraid that the other female would notice her staring at her, what did she have to be scared of? Flicking her ears, her yellow hues continued to follow the she-cat until she settled down not very far from her at all, the tip of her tail quivering before she looked back at her nearly finished mouse just as Silvercloud looked over at her. Dipping her head down, she would gulp down the remains before looking back over at Silvercloud, thinking for a moment.
"Nice catch." Meowed the she-cat in a rather rough voice, nodding her head towards the mouse between the other female's paws. "Prey's getting kind of scarce this time of season, it's nice to see that you were able to catch something." Despite her meaning no ill-will, the words came out harsh and jagged, almost sarcastic in a way without Cormorantstone ever meaning it that way, she was simply trying to hold a somewhat decent conversation with a cat, not something she did often, but she did do from time to time. "Your name's Silvercloud right?" Questioned the well-muscled she-cat, her yellow hues focused on the she-cat with confidence, not glancing away like some cat's might.

Blackpaw crept slowly from the apprentice's den, stretching his legs with a yawn. He rubbed a paw across his eyes before peering around the clearing. The young tom could see two kits playing with a mossball and a couple of warriors talking by the freshkill pile.

Nodding, he took a few steps away from the den before stopping to give his fur a good cleaning. He stole a couple glances around the clearing as he cleaned. Now where is my mentor?

Both of Blackpaw's ears flicked back at that moment. Oh no, who is my mentor?!?! The young tom had been so excited during the ceremony, he had totally forgot which cat had been chosen for his mentor. He felt so embarrassed, no apprentice had ever forgotten who their mentor was before.

Blackpaw licked his fur furiously, trying to remember who his mentor was or think of a way to ask with out revealing his slip-up....

Aquapaw sat down, her head down, scuffling her paws in the dirt. Her thoughts were straying to her brother, Bramblekit. She didn't even know if he'd survived. It was true, he supported the new leaders, but she still loved him, even though he was against everything she was working to protect. The black molly sighed, looking around.

There were several cats going out to hunt, others sharing tongues or sharing fresh-kill, while kits played, and other cats sat alone like herself. The black furred and aqua hued newly made apprentice looked around for her mentor, remembering that they'd gone out hunting without her. She wasn't sure why, but she got the feeling that they hated her.

Why anyone hated her, she wasn't sure. Yes, she liked to cause trouble, but she was loyal to her Clan, and still loyal to Ashstar, who had died in the fire, though she didn't believe that was true, and she had her suspicions. Aquapaw hated having to stay silent, unable to even mention StarClan. If she didn't fear for her life, and anyone to copied her and stood up for StarClan, she would've.

Oh, Bramblekit! Where are you? I'm sorry, but it's not my fault that we didn't have a family to tell us how things went! She wanted to yowl up to StarClan, but then she would probably get killed. Bramblekit, a rude and selfish cat who believed that only the current leaders would make the Clans better was possibly dead. She didn't care that if they ever met again, it wouldn't be as brother and sister, but as enemies.

She realized that tears were streaming down her face, and quickly licked her paw and drew it over her face, pretending to wash, even though she was just wiping away her tears. She couldn't show weakness, or she'd be finished. The small black apprentice stood up and padded towards the camp entrance, her head down and tail dragging slightly in the dirt.

Flamingarrow offered another smile as he bit into his thrush. "Thank you." He mumbled after he swallowed his mouthful. "I like you name too. How did you earn your suffix?" He asked out of plain curiosity. He knew -mist was more of a Riverclan name, so he was curious as to know why she earned it, if there was any reason at all.

She looked thoughtful for a moment, staring at the sky in thought. "I suppose its because, right before I became a full warrior, my younger sibling, Fernkit, had gotten lost some way or another and had found his way into a very misty area and we lost his scent. I was able to find him because I found some paw prints, it was strange and I don't even know why it was so misty but that's what I assume is the reason my suffix is 'mist.'" She spoke fondly of the memory, starting the story by looking at the sky but by the end she was looking at the other with shining blue eyes.

Flamingarrow listened to the story. He enjoyed just listening sometimes, not always wanting to talk himself. He didn't mind it at all, though. He offered her a kind smile. "That's kinda cool. Better than how I earned mine." He said shrugging away the idea, feeling as if it weren't important. His green eyes swept the area around him, searching for something to talk about, anything. "So, uh, I was planning on going for a hunt today." He said awkwardly, feeling weird about seemingly 'asking her out'. Oh gosh if Barkskip sees me I'll get an ear full of it later. "Would you maybe, I dunno, want to come with me?" HE asked finally, sweeping his green gaze to meet hers.

She gave a few licks to her chest before she dubbed herself clean, eyes quickly glancing around the clearing some fresh kill could do well now.

Juniperkit heard his new friend giggling and landing next to him, the kit felt joy bubble in his stomach 'this is...fun, I wish hemlockkit was here...where is she?' he thought as he began to think about his close friend, the tom shook his head to clear his thoughts 'I should be thinking about Frondkit, not Hemlockkit at the moment.' he decided and turned his sightless gaze upon his playmate "This is fun." he giggled then flung himself at the tom, playfully cuffing the other toms ear.

Frondkit squeaked in delighted surprise as Juniperkit jumped at him and cuffed his ear and he playfully pawed at his new playmate's nose.
"Yeah!" He agreed, giggling again before he continued to bat playfully at Juniperkit's nose waiting for a counterattack from the other tom, if it could really be called that in a playfight that is. Could there be attacks in a playfight? He didn't know, he hoped so because it much better to him than 'the next move', though it also sounded interesting.

Blackpaw watched with some amusement as the kits continued their play. He noticed another black furred apprentice washing her face and focused his attention on her.

What was her name again? He vaguely remembered her name had something to do with water. Riverpaw? Streampaw? Puddlepaw? No those can't be right. Blackpaw brightened as he saw her head towards the camp entrance.

Now's my chance to leave the camp! The young black tom dashed over to the black molly, skidding to a halt beside her.

"Hi! Are you going out of camp? Are you going hunting?" Blackpaw paused for a short intake of breath as he crouched, his gaze darting to the camp entrance and back to his fellow apprentice. "Can I come with you?"
Aquapaw jumped slightly, then looked at the tom, tilting her head. She took a few moments to remember his name, and even then, she wasn't certain that she was right. Aquapaw sighed as quietly as she could. “Hi. Blackpaw, right?” she asked.

She was fairly certain that that was his name, though she could be wrong. “Um... Yeah... I was going hunting.” a hint of secretiveness and mischief entered her voice, as she had been planning on going hunting. But where she had been planning on hunting was another matter. One that she knew was wrong.

“Where do you want to go?” she asked, then dropped her voice, lowering her head slightly. “Which leader do you think is better? Ashstar or Ratnight?” she hated Ratnight, and believed that he was no good, but these matters were best left alone.

Without waiting for an answer, Aquapaw darted out of the camp.

Zerosight's ears tilted backwards as he protested, his blind eyes open wide with worry for himself and for Northpaw. "Of course we're allowed to go if there's a reason, but.." He cut himself off, trying to reel in his worrying tendancies. The medicine cat swallowed heavily, scared of how much he cared for the younger tom. It'd ruin him if he lost another cat he cared for. Snowrunner's death as almost pushed him off the edge, so he couldn't imagine what Northpaw's death would do to him. He shook the thoughts out of his head, thinking about them just made him sick. "Fine, but I'm only giving you one day to get there and back, if it gets dark then I'm going to come find you," He finally relented, wording his conditions carefully. Then, he realized that Northpaw might not even be able to find he way to WindClan camp by himself, he had never been there before after all. "Go to the WindClan border and wait for a patrol, they'll take you to the camp. I'm pretty sure they'll recognize you as my apprentice from the gathering."

"Arrowheart was the closest thing I had ever had towards a fatherly figure. He was the one who named me Flamingkit, before I was that my name was Roy, but obviously I couldn't keep that. Once I became an apprentice Arrowheart became my mentor. He trained me well and made sure I understood everything he did about the clans. Pretty boring apprentice hood though, not much excitement. But when I became a warrior, I really wished to be named after Arrowheart. So when Ashstar..." He choked a little, remembering sadly that the leader who had accepted him was now gone. "Ashstar gave me the name Flamingarrow. That way I always carried a reminder of my mother, flaming, and a reminder of who acted like my father, arrow. Put it together and that's me. They helped shape me to who I am today." He ended with a sigh. He guided his white toed paws towards the entrance, keen on getting something accomplished today.

Zero to Hero

The dark tabby lifted his brow at Zerosight as his mentor cut himself off, expecting him to continue. He himself feared that maybe he would not be welcomed by Windclan, and hoped that maybe they had not yet gained a leader like Ratnight, hoping to see their dappled leader there if he was brought to the camp. They had heard of the fire, but Northpaw knew little of what happened to the neighboring clan during the invasion of the sudden flames. The apprentice could see the worry and concern in Zerosight's blind gaze but he wanted to reassure him again that he would be fine during this short journey to Windclan in search of Surgestorm.

Though he was surprised to see that his mentor finally gave in and that he would no longer have to push the matter. "Oh don't worry, I doubt that I would take longer than a day... I'll just meet up with Surgestorm and get some information about their current state. So I should be back soon," he explained. The young tom didn't want to be gone for too long, not having gone to any of the other clans like this and had expected his first time to be with Zerosight. But he wanted - rather needed - his mentor to get better, so he'd go out on his own.

He listened as his mentor went on to instruct him to stay at the border and await a patrol there. Northpaw gave a quick nod of his head, his heart already pounding. He was sure they would recognize him as no threat and just rather a concerned medicine cat apprentice, but they might not be open to the other clan at this time. They might not want the rival clans to see how they were affected by the fire. They might not want help or to tell him anything.

Some clans were just too proud like that.

Northpaw waved his tail as he left the den. "I should be back soon!" He called back as he left, repeating to Zerosight that he should be quick, trying not to worry Zerosight. Stress will only make his condition worse, he shouldn't be so worried about me! He was slightly frustrated with the older tom for treating him like a kit while he was already old enough to be a warrior - though that wasn't the path he had chosen, to his pleasure - and when his mentor should be looking after himself. But he was also glad that Zerosight seemed to care about him so much.

The tom gave a small smile as he disappeared.

She felt bad for asking the question and her ears dropped for a second, before perking up again. "Well, I'd change my name, I'd change it to something like Elmtail, or Blackcloud!" She sounded cheerful, wanting to get rid of the sadness from the other. Flamingarrow frowned at this. "Because some cats don't mind how other cats feel as long as it makes them look good and it brings them momentary joy. THose types of cats are not ones to hang around with. Trust me, I've spent some time on the other side of that and regret every minute of it." Nightbreeze padded into the clearing, guiding a small kit beside her. She led Avorton into the middle of the camp and turned to gaze kindly at him,her green orbs shining. The motherly molly offered her new kit a sweet smile, but soon turned up to gaze around the clearing, hoping to find one of her previous kits, whether biological or adopted, either was fine, both was better. "Avorton, this is the Thunderclan clearing. Most of the day to day life happens here. One of the most important things you'll need to know for now is the fresh kill pile. If you're feeling hungry, feel free to take something." She offered kindly, her green gaze still searching for someone in her rather large family.

Nighty

The young kit gingerly followed the night colored molly. He was still silently questioning why she would even both with him, why she would take him in like this. After all, he was stranger. But he was grateful for her, glad that she had adopted him when he was helpless in the territory. Avorton was glad that he had decided to run into the clans' territories, though he had initially believed he'd live to regret it.

The kit glanced around the clearing with his forest gaze as Nightbreeze informed him that this was the clearing, and not of the clan activities took place here. He tried to remember the faces of the cats walking around the clearing, but there were too many of him to memorized. It was a pretty busy place for the small tom.

Avorton's ears perked with interest as Nightbreeze mentioned the fresh-kill pile, turning to look at the pile of prey. His mouth started to water at the sight. He listened as the molly explained that he could take some of the fresh-kill if he was hungry, but he felt slightly awkward to do so as he had just joined. But still... he didn't want to be that 'awkward kit'.

"Can I have some now?" He questioned, waving his tail and forcing a pleasant tone as he spoke. He didn't want to act too awkward, maybe than Nightbreeze would doubt his thankfulness, so he gave her a fake smile. Despite being glad that, he still felt out of place here, and hoped that over time he might become more of a clan cat like Nightbreeze.

Stormpaw looked back down at the ground, the she cat averting her blue hues from Hiddenpaw. Was he just being polite, staying here and conversing with her? She wasn't quite sure, and she didn't want to be taking his time, especially if he had other cats he would rather be talking to. "Hm. Well thank you- I suppose that is true, and it's definitely a nice thought." She mewed, her expression remaining fairly calm as she did so, and she allowed her gaze to stray back to him. Hm. He's friendly enough. You're all good, Stormpaw. So ask questions. Before she was quite sure what was happening, she found her thoughts turning to another topic. "I appreciate your talking to me, but if there's something you would rather do, please don't let me keep you from doing it," She mewed, and then her hues sprang open in alarm as she realized she had just voiced her thoughts aloud. She hadn't meant to. That was the exact opposite of what she had meant to say. Her tail began to twitch nervously and she looked away from him, suddenly feeling sick. She felt much more nervous and worried than she originally had, and she realized that that was probably the wrong thing to say. Real good going, Stormpaw. It's probably things like that that keep you from having friends. She thought, her tail twitching back and forth in an irritated manner.

"Hmph. Well I'm amazing at sneaking up on other cats, so I'll definitely be able to do it." Dragonkit bragged, puffing his ebony chest out proudly, his sapphire hues sparking with mischief. Naturally this was an exaggeration of his own, although he thought stretching the truth a little couldn't be that bad. Since when did a lot- if any- harm come from stretching the truth? Although it had definitely been stretched to the breaking point, Dragonkit's young mind wondered if perhaps someday the words would be true. "Oh really? Well did you know that I have special powers to- uh- catch leaves?" Dragonkit asked, wondering whether the she cat would buy it or not. While he awaited her reply, he began thinking of how he would prove his 'special powers.' He wondered whether Echokit had thought anything of it- or at least, anything much. She probably thought that had been pretty weird, and looking back on his comment, he realized that it had sounded awkward. Hearing her sharp remark he flinched backwards before his hues hardened and he stiffened, every part of him tense and his whole body seeming to almost quiver with anxiety and anticipation. "Ratnight is our leader now, whether it seems fair or not. I would prefer to be an ally rather than an enemy of his. Perhaps it isn't right, what he's doing. But I believe speaking respectfully of him might help to keep me out of trouble." Dragonkit spoke in a fairly authoritive voice. Losing his temper wasn't going to help him here. All thoughts of excitement and pleasure were gone, replaced by a total blank stare that made him feel half dead. "I apologize if you don't see things the same way as I do, or if I've caused you any discomfort," He added. Looking at him now, it was almost impossible to believe that this was the same kit from just a moment ago. It was as though he had slipped into his first state of a polite, cold kit. Was this really the same tom who had just been laughing and bragging a minute earlier?

Hawkfeather spotted Wrenclaw, and her expression instantly seemed to brighten. She got to her paws, her tail tip twitching as she began to head over towards him rapidly, slipping neatly through the other cats. Her pelt was neatly groomed, and she appeared very well taken care of, although her excitement betrayed her innocence. "Hello there! I'm Hawkfeather- sorry, I know it's weird I just came here and introduced myself, but I was just looking for someone interesting and you look interesting, so I decided to come over and introduce myself." Hawkfeather mewed, her tail twitching back and forth and her blue hues sparkling with excitement. It was obvious that the young warrior was kit like, and a perfect target for anyone. Would Wrenclaw care to speak to her, or was he going to leave her like so many others did, considering that she was way too overexcited? The young she cat waited for Wrenclaw's reply, her expression still excited. She still looked way too excited, and she tried to calm herself and make herself look a little calmer.

Flamingarrow frowned at this. "Because some cats don't mind how other cats feel as long as it makes them look good and it brings them momentary joy. THose types of cats are not ones to hang around with. Trust me, I've spent some time on the other side of that and regret every minute of it." He said leading the way to the entrance and pushing his way through.
(To the territory!!)

Nightbreeze padded into the clearing, guiding a small kit beside her.

Honeypaw padded out of the apprentice's den, a small but friendly smile planted on her face. Her pelt was smooth and neat as she had been grooming it earlier. She stopped, lifting a paw, licking it and then dragging it over her ear before continue to walk closer towards the middle of the camp clearing. She weaved past cats trying to get to the fresh kill pile, only occasionally having to say 'excuse me' to get past a group of cats that completely blocked her path. As Honeypaw reached the fresh kill pile, she noticed her mother near the pile. Her amber gaze slowly trailed down and she saw a little kit beside Nightbreeze. Honeypaw looked around, seeing if she was in the way of anyone. Seeing she wasn't, she stayed beside the pile but said loudly to Nightbreeze, "Hello!". She looked back down to the little kit beside her and wondered what she should say. She didn't know who the kit was and she might scare him if she meowed a greeting. So she simply looked back to her mother, awaiting a reply.

(Whoops! So sorry for late reply!)
Silvercloud had returned her amber gaze back to the half eaten mouse in front of her and she decided to keep eating it. She bent down and after a short moment, she was finished. She straightened up and in one swipe of a paw, she swept the bones to the side. She would deal with the remains later. Silvercloud sat staring around, though she felt the stare of a certain she cat next to her. With her usual stoic face, she turned her head and looked at Cormorantstone, her eyes blank and emotionless. She helped but think that Cormorantstone's voice sounded rather rough. It didn't sound very....graceful for a voice. Although she obviously didn't say it out loud. "Thank you", Silvercloud said with a monotone voice. "And indeed. The prey likes to scurry away and hide in their burrows", The tabby she cat remarked. The statement she had just stated would normally have had cheerfulness or humour but like everything she said, her voice sounded the same. Blank and without any expression. Silvercloud noticed that Cormorantstone didn't appear to be one of those cats whose gaze jumped from one cat to another. The buff she cat simply kept staring, as if challenging Silvercloud. But that's what Silvercloud thought, maybe the dark brown tabby only did that because she believed eye contact was important when communicating? It was unlikely but there would always be that little chance. Silvercloud kept her amber hues focused on Cormorantstone, taking this as a little staring contest. But at the same time, she felt as if she was trying to 'stare down' Cormorantstone. "Yes. I'm Silvercloud", Silvercloud finally said. "And O believe you are Cormorantstone? Am I correct?", Silvercloud asked the strong she cat. She felt as if though she was a mentor, talking to their apprentice and asking them if what they had stated was true. Silvercloud was just about certain that the she cat of which she was speaking to, was Cormorantstone. But she simply asked for clarification in case she was somehow wrong.

There a rather big variety over there." She said. Then as she glanced back up, her gaze found what they had been looking for. "Honeypaw!" She mewed in greeting. The night sky tinted feline padded forwards and brushed herself against her daughter lovingly. "Hello my dear." She purred. "This is Avorton. I found him in the territory earlier when I went out for a hunt." She said gesturing to the kit beside her. "Avorton, this is one of my daughters, Honeypaw."

Nighty & Empress Of Evil

As soon as the mothering molly gave him the green light for the food, he quickly streaked over towards the prey in quite an impressive speed for his age - it wouldn't compete with a warrior's but maybe an apprentice's... if they were a young apprentice. The tom's forest green gaze widened as he looked at the selection. Se's right, they have everything! He bit his bottom lip as he tried to pick out what to eat. The tom was hungry but was also young and small, though he did have quite to appetite....

Moments later, Avorton trotted over towards Nightbreeze with a scrawny mole in his jaw. Since it was leaf-bare, the prey was becoming scrawny - though there were still a few plump ones, plus, some of the prey sis have themselves fat before leaf-bare anyway. As soon as he stopped in front of the black warrior, another cat seemed to approach them.

He didn't know this cat, and she didn't know him so he decided to stay silent as a moment and watch her. He tried to understand who she was and could tell that she seemed relaxed around Nightbreeze. He turned his gaze towards the older cat as she went on to introduce him to the newcomer. Avorton blinked in surprise when she stated that the young molly in front of them was her daughter. He knew that they didn't look like, but wasn't going to question anything.

"Hi!" He chirped a quick greetings to the ginger and white apprentice. He did feel unnerved as he met the new cat and knew that now she was his sister since her mother had decided to adopt him. But he wanted to try out to be a happy kit in the clan. After all, this was like a brand new start for him.

(It's totally fine, I understand! xD)
At hearing the other she-cats thanks, the dark grey tabby merely grunted and seemed to nod her head a bit as if to say 'you're welcome', simply not bothering to say the words aloud and seeming to do the same thing at hearing the remark, her muzzle screwing up in a scowl for a moment before she snorted and shook her head. She hated the cold seasons, when the prey was scarce and whatever they did manage to catch was thin and scrawny due to lack of food. But surely she wasn't the only cat that despised this time of season, in fact, she wouldn't think that any cat would enjoy the seasons of leaf-fall nor leaf-bare.
Silence fell between the two as Cormorantstone silently stared at the other she-cat, whom held her gaze squarely, after a while, a smug smirk growing on her muzzle, silently glad that one cat wasn't afraid of staring back at her. In a way, it was her way of testing whether the other cat was worthy of even being spoken to, even worth her time and there were very few that could hold that hard yellow gaze of hers. It was a psychological thing, a way of weeding out the strong and confident and the weak and cowardly. It seems Silvercloud would be an interesting cat to speak with after all.
After this small break of silence, she questioned the cat of her name, more so verifying it more than anything, nodding her head a bit to hear that she was indeed Silvercloud.
"You are correct."
Slowly, the bulky she-cat glanced over the other before focusing on Silvercloud's eyes again.
"Do you like to spar much?"
This was always the inquiry she made to any cat that was able to hold her gaze longer than a few seconds, much less all the way through the conversation. Most cats didn't spar much, more interested in other activities through camp that didn't involve fighting or practice fighting.

Ashenkit was thrown off backwards, another surprised mew escaping his maw as he tried to scramble to his paws before Honeykit would be able to pin him, and then it would be he who would have to surrender. He felt slightly bad about tricking her, but then again- this was war. Pretend war, but war none the less. Ashenkit scrambled to his paws, his pelt now messy and streaked with dust. He was glad that he had managed to cheer his friend up, it definitely wasn't much fun seeing her so upset. It was almost scary, the way that she had been so depressed earlier. He definitely hadn't liked it, and he had made up his mind that he was going to do his best to keep from seeing her like that ever again. Or, to keep her from being like that ever again. Ashenkit's blue hues sparked with excitement as he waited for Honeykit's next attack, although he was beginning to grow tired. He was unsure whether it showed or not, but if it did...it was probably pretty obvious that Honeykit could beat him easily at this point. That was, if she were going to try.

Honeypaw purred as she brushed against Nightbreeze. She looked back down at the little tom kit once again as her mother introduced her. Avorton? He must've been a loner or kittypet, Honeypaw thought. She knew that he could never have been a clan cat with a name like that. "Hello!", Honeypaw said cheerfully in return with a wide grin. This kit was her adoptive brother now, she might as well try getting to know him even if he didn't. Though he appeared to be an open and cheerful young kit. Honeypaw stood there, suddenly feeling a little awkward, not knowing what to say next. She could always introduce herself, but then again Nightbreeze had already done that. She looked at her mother, a sign in her eyes asking for help on what to say next. She didn't want to appear awkward in front of her new adoptive brother but it was hard when she wasn't always the best at starting conversatiom. Despite her kind and friendly nature.

A grunt is certainly an....interesting way to say 'you're welcome', Silvercloud thought, though she showed no sign of her judgement. Silvercloud watched as a smug smirk formed upon Cormorantstone's muzzle. Here we have an aggressive cat smirking, surprise surprise, the tabby she cat thought. Silvercloud had always thought of aggressive and strong cats to be smug and proud. This was simply the way she viewed them. It was a bit like stereotypes I guess you could say. Except buff cats, compared to not so buff cats. As Silvercloud pulled herself out of her thoughts, she realised she looked slightly strange with her 'staring contest'. She looked away, though she didn't avoid the dark brown tabby's gaze quickly, as that would simply be awkward. Silvercloud lifted a paw, licking it and then dragging it over her right ear. Quickly checking over herself to see if any other bits of her fur was ruffled up. She could feel the piercing beam of yellow coming from the other she cat. A beam that would burn holes into Silvercloud if it were a laser. Silvercloud finally looked back up and once again, regained her 'staring competition' position. Her eyes this time, almost seemed to have a....stern look in them. Like a strict mentor staring down in disapproval at their newly made apprentice.
"I don't take much joy in sparring", Silvercloud finally said, her voice like always, monotone like. "Neither do I do it much", Silvercloud continued. "If one were to ask me to spar with them I wouldn't refuse", Silvercloud said. "But neither would I have a skip in my paws if I did agree", the tabby she cat stated, her voice almost sounding as if it was warning Cormorantstone. It was true that Silvercloud didn't spar much, nor take joy when doing it but she wouldn't be one to refuse a request. She preferred peace and non-violent situations. It was like her personality. Peaceful and calm. But if it came to her personality becoming the whole world....it would certainly be a boring world.

Her eyes sparked gleefully as they scanned over his matted, dusty pelt. I'll help him clean off later. She silently promised, unknowing of the dirt that clung to her own pale fur. Honeykit took a few breathes, energy pulsing through her whole body making her lunge forward and start bounding towards him. She had no clue if he was out of breath or not, she was having to much fun. It was strange, normally when she played she would have tripped over her own paws already but the ginger kit was doing surprisingly well. She couldn't feel how tired her limbs were, because she was so determined to win. Honeykit launched her small shape off the ground with her paws extended towards Ashenkit.

Ashenkit's blue hues widened, although he was too tired to try and spring out of the way, and he allowed himself to be pinned by Honeykit. He could feel his sides heaving with exhaustion, although why he was so tired after just one game, he wasn't quite sure. Granted; it had been more like two, considering he had used trickery the first time, which he could still feel a sting of guilt about. Still, even with that, she's going to win, He thought with a small, bright smile. He got the feeling that Honeykit would make quite a warrior someday, especially with her determination. That, plus her skill and being on the small side but having quite a bit of strength, and the training that she would receive, would make her an almost unbeatable warrior. Ashenkit looked up at Honeykit with his blue hues, waiting for her to either ask him if he surrendered or something else, although she wasn't quite sure what else it would be. Oh well, I surrender, he thought, although he said nothing aloud yet, waiting for Honeykit to speak.
