The tom quirked a brow and aimed to pat the molly on the head, lifting up his paw. "Now just repeat that to Lionstar, maybe he'd be able to convince the med-op. Hi Firehawk." he began, ears swiveling as he noticed the familiar Warrior leaning back on his haunches. "Well I don't know if you've noticed but I don't really get to decide what happens in my life anymore. That's really up to the two cooky cats in the Medicine Den. I think I'm gonna have to sit this one out until I get the okay from Fawnsqueak. If He says it's fine I'll come catch up later." he explained, looking down at Softpaw.

"Couldn't give a rat's ass about what Otterstone says though. If they say no I might go just to spite them, we'll see." Gentlethunder grunted with a wince. as he picked himself up, padding towards the Medicine Cat's den.

softpaw giggled a little and turned back to firehawk, "well lets go!" she chirped, she was dying to get some this training done! only need to go hunting...and maybe one more battle training lesson! Softpaw had a small skip in her step.

"Woooo! Go Eveninglight!" Duckpaw cheered along with the rest of the crowd. She hoped that someday she too would become a warrior, but it would still be a while.

The new apprentice was a bit overwhelmed by all the yelling. Was this going to happen often? He saw the sentiment in it, but it was just so loud, and he was unprepared for it. Beanpaw had joined in on one of the last chants of Eveninglight’s name, knowing she was important to Grizz.

He jumped again, embarrassed. "Ah, yeah!" he exclaimed, excited. Beanpaw has really only seen the way to Cattail Pond and back, and that was the extent of his territory knowledge. He sure hoped that Grizz wasn’t doing this exclusively for him. What if most kits took a tour of the territory at a young age and were expected to know their way around by apprenticehood? But that didn’t make sense, considering kits weren’t allowed out of camp without warriors. Well, still, it could happen. "How big’s the territory?" was his question, the first of what could be many. He was determined not to be behind the other apprentices. He’d prove himself with or without Clan blood.

Lilytail let out a shaky breath at the mention of Tinypaw. She didn't understand why he had disappeared, but hopefully he was ok. She winced at Ripplepaw's question. "I..." She felt tears start to fill her eyes. 'Don't you dare cry in front of an apprentice, you mouse-brain!' She swallowed back her grief. "I don't know," She choked. "I have no idea. His training was going along great, and he just...Disappeared."

Snowstripe smiled and touched noses with Stormpaw. The she cat smiled and sat down again. "What would you like to do first?" Snowstripe asked since she wasnt really the bossy type of mentor.
Stormpaw smiled up at her mentor. She seemed nice and Stormpaw buzzed with excitement at the thought of all they might learn. What did she want to do first? Stormpaw thought for a moment as the meeting was dismissed and then looked up at her mentor with a shrug. “Hunting would be fun, but so would battle training! I don’t really mind! Which one would you prefer to teach me first?” She chirped, golden eyes wide as she watched her mentor to see what she would say and wondering what her first act as an apprentice would be.

“We’ll start with the territory.” He said. “C’mon!”

Silentpaw followed Driftblaze to see the territory. He had sometimes gone out to the Cattail pond to take a nice swim so he had seen parts of the territory. But there was other parts that Silentpaw hadn't seen yet. Excited to see the territory, he followed her mentor silently.

Stormpaw smiled up at her mentor. She seemed nice and Stormpaw buzzed with excitement at the thought of all they might learn. What did she want to do first? Stormpaw thought for a moment as the meeting was dismissed and then looked up at her mentor with a shrug. “Hunting would be fun, but so would battle training! I don’t really mind! Which one would you prefer to teach me first?” She chirped, golden eyes wide as she watched her mentor to see what she would say and wondering what her first act as an apprentice would be.

Snowstripe thought for a moment. "We could do some hunting training." The she cat said to Stormpaw.

Well.. after the clearing incident, Lionstar figured this was a good time to call a Clan meeting.

Originally, he had planned to call a meeting for the exile but he was glad he chose to confront Ravenpaw directly beforepaw. Lionstar didn't care for the unneccessary "crazy cat" drama and was looking forward to a quieter, more peaceful meeting.

"All those old enough to swim, gather beneath the Streamstone for a Clan meeting!" His voice was a yowl as he took his spot on the Streamstone, furrowing his brow.

Let's see. He figured he'd start with the apprentices needing new mentors, and then go from there. That sounded like the best thing to do.

Start things off normally, before he got into the grim news. He didn't want to put a cloud over anyone's head to start things up.

Koistream was quick to hobble over to the Streamstone, muffling his noises of delight. Oh Starclan, how he missed these boring ass meetings! Never before had he craved to hear his annoying brothers voice booming out across the clearing like always. Man, he loved this stupid clan! Hopefully it was good news though, he wouldn't mind some of the ususal idle stuff.

Rainydawn yawned as she slipped out of the warrior’s den. The molly shook out her fur to try to wake herself up and made her way toward the stream stone with a sleepy snort. The grey feline plopped down near the front and blinked drowsily up at Lionstar as she waited for the meeting to start. She’d purposefully sat alone since the last two cats she’s talked to has made her worry she might start to feel something toward them.

Grizzlybug hurried over to the stream stone and sat down gleefully. He loves meetings! Especially when there were ceremonies- calling his clan mates’ new names and seeing their excited faces was always exhilarating. He also loved when new clan mates joined and he got to greet them for the first time! As the fluffy tom sat, he looked around for his apprentice with a smile, always happy to spend time with Beanpaw.

Foggykit tumbled out of the nursery with a squeak. She wanted to see what was going on! The wobbly kitten managed to walk a few pawsteps before falling over again, but she didn’t let it bother her. The black and white speckled feline continued her half walking Hal tumbling process toward that gathering crowd and kept going until she bumped into someone’s paws.

Sparrowpaw jumped up and made his way to the stream stone along with Morningmeadow, who was sitting right by him.

Hailfire slipped out of the warrior's den with a shake of her fur, and she scanned the clearing carefully. She noticed Onepaw peering around, and with a hint of a smile she trotted over to him. "Hey, there. Long time, no see, huh?"

As soon as Goosefury padded over to the Streamstone to sit down, the stench hit him, and a low growl rose in his throat along with a pang of fear in his chest. Even though it was faint, he would recognize it anywhere: ShadowClan. His eyes quickly searched the crowd of cats until they landed on Russetstrike. He slunk toward the back of the crowd, but glared fiercely at this newcomer, this invader, as if his stare alone would be enough to kill him. This cat wasn't supposed be here.

Curlpaw bounded out of the apprentice's den and sat down, practically bouncing on his toes as he waited for whatever Lionstar had to say. As soon as his butt touched the ground, he heard Nightclaw call out his name. He jumped up and made his way over to her. "Hello," was all he said as he plopped down next to her.

spiderpaw waddled on over, wondering what was going on this time. urgh. she was usually enthusiastic over these kinds of things, but she had not gotten enough sleep last night and now she was cranky >:c she didn't like being cranky, but it was what it was. it was her fault, after all; nothing was stopping her from sleeping except for her overactive mind. the apprentice sat a little bit away from everyone else, though she still blended into the crowd of cats. she wasn't actively avoiding others, she was just.. actively avoiding others. she had a reason, though! they wouldn't want to talk to her while she was going to go ranting like an angry grandma about how the world ain't fair because she hadn't gotten a good night's sleep. huh. she was still kind of hoping someone would talk to her, though. spiderpaw listened into the announcements, trying to pay attention.

Cottonpaw watched as other apprentices left for the meeting, so he padded out of the den to join them. He sat down near the front, so he could make out Lionstar's words.

Skunkkit wasn't old enough to hunt, but she was curious as to what this thing was about. Tje young kit stayed near the nursery, not wanting to get in trouble for attending. She looked around the clearing at all of her foster classmates.

Almondbush heard the meeting and stalked out of the warriors den to join his clan mates. He looked up to see the yellow shape of Lionstar. Thank goodness for being able to see colors and shapes. He liked this better than being completely blind. No wonder he didn't mind being born this way.

Ashpool padded out of the nursery, wanting to not miss this meeting. The expecting queen sat down, keeping a close eye on Skunkkit in case she tried anything. They were both born rogues, so she wanted to help out with her.

Lightfeather dragged herself from the shadows, grunting each step she took. A meeting? she thought, annoyed. This better be good.

He wondered what the leader could have to say at such a spontaneous time, Ripplewhisker curling his tail over his paws neatly, looking up to the leader.

Stopping, Russetstrike felt that burning sensation of someone watching you. Turning his head, he picked it up a little above the crowd, to see if anyone was watching him. Eyes flicking towards a movement in the growing group, he watched as the grey back of a cat was stalking.. in the direction of himself. Almost hurriedly, he looked around the clearing for Shimmeringpool. Fear was growing in side of him, and quick.

Doefeather trotted happily out to the streamstone, head tilting as she pondered what the issue could be.

Something was up, and Smokepaw knew it. Lionstar was quite a predictable cat.

Onepaw looked up from where he was sitting and saw Hailfire. "It has been a while. I went to see my mother Flyfur a while ago." The chubby apprentice said to his mentor. Slushie

Sootkit padded into the clearing at Lionstar's roar.
"What's going on?"
She stepped around nervously at the sight of all the cats gathered.

Atleast there was no need to move- Gingerpaw lay somewhat comfortably around the clearing, close enough to properly hear Lionstar from the streamstone and see him if he were to open his eyes. It was a shame though, that his well deserved peace got disturbed once more. Really, was all of Riverclan plotting against his peace? Unlikely, but still. A sigh escaped the tom as shadows from other cats already started to block the sun that was warming his fur. Oh well, he turned back to lay on his belly and lazily opened his eyes to halfly watch the announcement, he didn't feel like moving and there wasn't much point in trying to rest when others were being so imensly loud.

Goosefury narrowed his eye and curled his lip in a sneer. Ugh. Carefully, very carefully, he picked himself up and moved closer. This cat seemed very on edge - he kept swiping his gaze around the clearing as if looking for something, or someone.
He sat down again right next to Russetstrike, claws digging into the dirt. Being so close to such a horrible smell made him want to vomit, but he figured he could deal with it if he was able to make Russetstrike uncomfortable. "ShadowClan, right?" he asked the other warrior with a sickly sweet tone that didn't match the hatred in his gaze one bit.

"Oh, well that's good," she commented. "It's always nice to catch up with family. Hey, after the meeting, why don't we do some combat training after the meeting?"

Now, there was no escape. No finding Shimmingpool. The tom was already here. Looking at him now, made him flinch at the sight of his missing eye. As he sat down next to him, he had no choice but to sit down too. Curling his tail over his paws, Russetstrike didn't forget that the gray tom had unsheathed his claws. This was what he had feared would happen and his nightmare was coming true. "Former." It took a lot of strength to keep himself from stuttering, the nervousness showing in his voice. Goosefury gave him chills like no other, a hatred that could never be compared. Most likely for ShadowClan but, he did nothing to this cat. The russet tom didn't even know him!

Creekleap padded to the stream stone, yawning and kneeling the gentle moss. (Open)

Peachpaw made her way to the front of the group of her clanmates, her chin high as usual as she sat tall.

Turtlepaw figured she was supposed to attend all these meetings now, a 'perk' of the new name it seemed. She sat just close enough to hear, her tail wrapped around her paws.

Goosefury had to squash the cruel grin that wanted to spring to his muzzle. Usually he would feel uncomfortable and self-concious whenever someone flinched at the sight of his face, but if it was a ShadowClan cat who reacted in such a way, it only brought satisfaction, because then they KNEW what they had done to him.
He raised a paw to groom the dirt off of his claws. "Former," he mused. "Interesting. Did ShadowClan kick you out? Frankly, I'm surprised Lionstar is even letting you in here, after what you did to ThunderClan, and some of his warriors." His tail twitched behind him, and his voice sounded so nonchalant as he spoke it was almost odd, monotone.

Hearing the call for a meeting, Berrypaw poked her head out of the apprentices' den, and then sauntered her way over to the Streamstone, making sure to get a good seat. Something interesting always seemed to happen at meetings, and she wasn't one to miss them. Once she had settled in, the molly glanced around, looking for someone she knew.

Onepaw almost jumped with excitement but he reminded calm. "Yes please Hailfire." The chubby cat meowed to his mentor. Slushie

Hearing the call for a meeting, Berrypaw poked her head out of the apprentices' den, and then sauntered her way over to the Streamstone, making sure to get a good seat. Something interesting always seemed to happen at meetings, and she wasn't one to miss them. Once she had settled in, the molly glanced around, looking for someone she knew.

Duckpaw stumbled to the Streamstone and found her good friend Berrypaw sitting there. "Hey Berrypaw," the young apprentice yelled as she padded closer to her friend. She was a bit sad that they had been drifting more and more apart, because Duckpaw considered her as her best friend. Nevertheless, she was still very eager to talk with her.

As the gray tom spoke, it sparked anger in Russetstrike. He wanted to stand up for himself but, when Goosefury mentioned Lionstar. It made him shrink. Keeping quiet he just looked down at his paws. Holding back tears, he just looked at his paws.

Grizz beamed when he saw his former apprentice coming his way and he purred a greeting when she arrived.

“Eveninglight! My favorite graduated apprentice!”

He winked and chuckled to himself at the joke- she was his only graduated apprentice- but quieter down to listen to her. The question made him both laugh and smile, happy that Eveninglight liked Beanpaw. He couldn’t help feeling a bit like a dad toward both of them since he had trained or was training them and cared deeply for their wellbeing. He didn’t know Eveninglight’s family situation, but he wasn’t senile- he knew he wasn’t actually like their dads! He just cares about them.

“Well, my personal prodigy, little Beanie is doing well! It’s a blast training apprentices, as I’m sure you’ll soon find, so I’m loving the fact that I didn’t have to take a break between you two. You know, you should come help me give Beanpaw a lesson some time! It’ll be great practice for when you have your own lil prodigy <3.”

Oh, yes, there it was. The quiet anger, and then the sudden backing down. Goosefury wanted to curl his lip in disgust. He was starting to doubt this cat was from ShadowClan - no ShadowClanner he'd met would ever walk away from a fight. Maybe this one was defective. Maybe that's why he had gotten booted out of his little posse.
He set his paw down and flicked Russetstrike with his tail, a little harshly. "Don't feel bad. ShadowClan's full of loose roots anyway. It's no wonder you got kicked out - probably couldn't handle the violent attitudes of your former Clanmates."

The Calliby made his way towards the clearing, an irritated gaze plastered on his face. He was beginning to get antsy, his wounds were practically healed, nothing but scars...er....very new, incredibly sensitive and still easy to open back up, scars. He could only sleep so much until it became boring. Sitting himself down next to a Clanmate the Warrior let out a huff leaned over. "What do you think it's gonna be this time? Maybe something exciting?" he hummed aloud. Though mostly to the companion he sat next to, but also to himself.

Gentlethunder began to groom the fur on his chest, having bed fur it was sticking up in all sorts of directions that shouldn't be possible considering gravity was, in fact, a thing.

Grizz beamed when he saw his former apprentice coming his way and he purred a greeting when she arrived.

Eveninglight smiled happy to know all was going well with Beanpaw. She sort of knew Beanpaw, but not quite enough to get away with any nicknames yet. She smiled she really wanted her own apprentice, but doubted Lionstar would consider her ready to be a mentor. She nodded, before playfully teasing,” Need me to cover swim lessons for you?” she meowed gently bumping his shoulder. She knew his thick fur made swimming difficult and that no Riverclan apprentice even her, could avoid learning to swim.

Duckpaw stumbled to the Streamstone and found her good friend Berrypaw sitting there. "Hey Berrypaw," the young apprentice yelled as she padded closer to her friend. She was a bit sad that they had been drifting more and more apart, because Duckpaw considered her as her best friend. Nevertheless, she was still very eager to talk with her.

Berrypaw flinched as she heard her name yelled out from behind. It was that clueless bubbly furball who she called "friend". Now, Duckpaw wasn't exactly the molly's favorite cat. She could get on her nerves sometimes, and she wasn't as close with her as she was with Silentpaw and Fernpaw. But she could put up with the other apprentice, certainly more than Maplekit, who she feared might become an apprentice this meeting. And so, putting on her best cheery voice and attitude, Berrypaw turned around. "Oh. Hey Duckpaw. How're you doing?"

"Since it appears Goosefury can't play nice," Lionstar hadn't missed the hostility the younger warrior oozed toward Russetstrike, "I suppose I'll start by introducing our newest Clan-mate.

"Russetstrike here," he beckoned his tail toward the sad looking tom, "recently joined the Clan following a falling out he had with Icestar. His morals do not align with what ShadowClan has been practicing, and I hope you all accept him as well as you've accepted Bumblebelly and Sparkheart." Sparkheart was now dead, but had served the Clan well in the few moons he was a warrior. He improved a lot from his early days of being a Clan-mate.

"Individual ShadowClan cats are not necessarily our enemies, Goosefury. Not when they've recognized how foul their Clan is and have come to seek a more honorable lifestyle. You do not choose where you are born," this was cautionary, a reminder where Goosefury's roots laid themselves. "But you can choose to break away from it. Give him a chance."

Thank StarClan, he was saved! Giving a sigh of relief he got up and turned back at the gray tom he now knew as Goosefury. "I don't judge cats by their worst mistakes. I hope we can start over." He smiled down at the tom before padding away. Giving a thankful nod to Lionstar as he made his way towards Shimmeringpool.

The molly for some reason was extremely tired and did not hear the clan meeting until some clumsy cat stepped on her tail causing her to wake up. Light blue eyes looked around as her ears caught the last part of the drama, oh phooey! Goosefury is really living up to his name by being so hostile... The silver and white warrior almost felt bad for Russetstrike until Lionstar stepped in and calmed everything down. Quickly padding into the clearing Shimmeringpool gave a bashful smile towards the newest clanmate in Riverclan. "Hey I'm so sorry for not being here sooner." Giving an awkward chuckle the molly sat down next to the dark russet tom. " Don't mind Goosefury he just cares about the clan a lot." Turning to give her friend a little glare that said, behave or else before letting up her annoyance and waved hello to the Riverclanner.

With his mentors absence and the recent news of his brothers disappearance... all he wanted to do was be with his sister. That would cheer him up. As he sat down, he let an icy gaze wander around the clearing in an attempt to find her - but to no avail.

Aspensky wandered over to the Streamstone and took a seat not too far away. He offered his son a small smile even though it seemed he wasn't paying much attention to, well, anything at the moment. He looked tired. He would have to corner him after the meeting to make sure he was taking care of himself. Deputy duties were very important but you can't take care of your duties if you don't take care of yourself first. Aspensky curled his tail over his paws so as it avoid being stepped on and waited paitiently for Lionstar to begin. What's this meeting going to be about? he wondered, Ceremonies, perhaps?

Hearing Lionstar's call from atop the Streamstone, Bitterthorn appeared at the entrance of the elder's den and did his best to make himself comfortable there. Making the walk all the way over wasn't necessary when he could hear just fine from here and he was going to return to his nest right after anyway. All too much effort, really. Especially with how his joints seemed to ache today. Yes, sitting at the entrance of the den was the best option. It kept him away from the crowds, too, which was a wonderful benefit. Too much chatter there, and too much chaos whenever Lionstar had something controversial to say. Much quieter over here.

Sorrelkit knew she wasn't really supposed to leave the nursery on her own or attend the meetings at all, really, but that wasn't going to stop her. Why did all the grownups get to hear the news? Why couldn't the kits get to know what was going on in the clan? 'All those old enough to swim my butt!' she thought with a huff and a stamp of her foot,'I bet I could swim if I tried.' Glancing back at the nursery, she made she hadn't caught the attention of any of the queens before scampering over to blend in with the crowd below the Streamstone.

Flyfur slid in between a few cats, late again. Russetstrike? She looked about. She hadn't realized there was a new cat. There were always new cats. Sometimes old rejoining, but still. A lot of passing faces.
Since Rueesetstrike was nearby, she leaned towards him. "Welcome to Riverclan, let's hope the rest of your stay is less bumpy." She greeted.

Cricketchirp groaned, frustrated. Another one? How often did he need to stand on that rock and squawk? He slowly moved towards the rock and sat. Away from the other cats.

Peachpaw didn't have the most knowledge of clan politics, she just knew that they didn't like ShadowClan. This Russetsrtike tom piqued her interest, maybe she should get him to teach her all of ShadowClan's special battle tactics, that could help make her the best warrior in all the clans!

Turtlepaw had figured out there were more than just RiverClan but had yet to be taught about the others. From the sounds of it, this ShadowClan was disliked, but Bumblebelly came from there? What makes the clans so different, why did they not like the place that one of the cats she trusted the most in the clan came from? She didn't understand, she'd have to ask about it sometime.

With a low growl in his throat, Goosefury stepped back. His ear twitched to show Lionstar he had heard, but he gave no other response. Sure, he'd been a rogue, but he hadn't attempted to attack an innocent Clan or gouge out a cat's eye, for crying out loud.
He had to stamp down the urge to smack Russetstrike across the face when the ShadowClanner had the audacity to talk about 'starting over'. We can 'start over' when I have my barn and vision back, he thought begrudgingly. He stared after Russetstrike as the warrior moved away to sit somewhere else.
When Shimmeringpool appeared, he felt a flash of relief. Thank StarClan, he'd have at least one cat here to possibly support him. He started to move toward her, but then he froze. She was walking toward Russetstrike. And she was TALKING to the ShadowClanner. And then she was APOLOGIZING for Goosefury? And now she glaring at him! A sharp arrow of sorrow and anger shot through him, and with a somber look he sat down next to Shimmeringpool.

How could she LIKE this home-stealer, and if she really did... did she like him more than Goosefury?

On his way over to Shimmeringpool, Russetstrike looked to another new clanmate. This one much more friendly. "Thank you." He dipped his head before padded off to his friend.

Sitting down next to Shimmeringpool gave him new found confidence and comfort. "It's alright, and it's not your fault." He smiled at Shimmeringpool before looking back up at Lionstar. He was ready for this meeting to move on. But, he soon found himself glancing back at Goosefury. It looked as if he was going to have a new enemy by the look on the one eyed tom's face.

Wormbite heaved a sigh as he took a seat in the crowd. He had planned on sitting next to Shimmeringpool but.. she was um, obviously dealing with something. It was weird. A really weird scene. Like, really weird.

He was not going to think about it. Wormbite didn't want to smother Shimmeringpool in fear she would snap at him. Instead, he gazed up at Lionstar. Trying to not focus on the stinging feeling in his shoulder.. paw, not to focus on the overwhelming thoughts and--

He was doing it again. Dammit.

Silvershade bounced on over to the crowd, weaving through the cats. "Excuse me! Aaa, pardon me. Yep, just-- just gonna scoot. Mhm.... " They would mumble, taking a seat in the front of the crowd with a happy, beaming smile.

Stingkit waddled out into the clearing. The dilute torbie kitten taking in his surroundings briefly. There was lots to see and lots of cats to meet... things to understand. Though what better way than to sit and observe? He’d take in information better that way. Trotting out of the entrance of the small den towards the group of amassed cats he took a seat towards the back as opposed to last time.

Lightpaw arrived just as Lionstar finished introducing Russetstrike. She eyed the warriors grumbling about a Shadowclanner joining their ranks. As far as she was concerned Lightpaw had no problem with Shadowclan. The drama that resided there was between Icestar and Lionstar. If Shadowclan attacked them.. well maybe it would be a different story. But she hadn't totally understood why the raid on Shadowclan had to have happened in the first place. The point was, she was ready to welcome Russetstrike with open paws.

The Calliby made his way towards the clearing, an irritated gaze plastered on his face. He was beginning to get antsy, his wounds were practically healed, nothing but scars...er....very new, incredibly sensitive and still easy to open back up, scars. He could only sleep so much until it became boring. Sitting himself down next to a Clanmate the Warrior let out a huff leaned over. "What do you think it's gonna be this time? Maybe something exciting?" he hummed aloud. Though mostly to the companion he sat next to, but also to himself.

Gentlethunder began to groom the fur on his chest, having bed fur it was sticking up in all sorts of directions that shouldn't be possible considering gravity was, in fact, a thing.



Koistream quirked a fiery red brow up at Gentlethunder. Koistream did an unimpressive... roll? shuffle? He flipped his body over to lay besides Gentlethunder even closer now. Koistream didn't wake for the invitation, simply inviting himself as he began to groom his clanmates back.

"I was hoping that my own brother might announce my return but apparently a frog licker is more important than little old me," Koistream commented rather loudly, a playful tone to his words as a smooth giggle slipped from his lips,

his real comment was made in a smae voice, "Legit can't expect him to call a meeting just for Russetstrike, ya know? Gotta be somethin' else goin' on, I reckon..." He murmured to Gentlethunder, eyes scanning the clearing for anything out of the ordinary.

Since the conflict between Russetstrike and Goosefury was semi-defused, Lionstar was ready to continue.. with a dirty look shot toward Koistream's way. "I'll get to that in a moment!"

Before he jumped into the new joining further, he wanted to start with the reassignments. Goosefury just had to go around ruining his plans!

"We have a few apprentices who are unfortunately in need of new mentors. The cats previously assigned to them have decided to vanish or be layabouts.." he narrowed his eyes. Frostflame hadn't even bothered to show up yet. Of course. "Instead of properly doing their duty.

"Apprentices, when I call your name I expect you to step forward.

"Sleetpaw [ Dust], Ringpaw [ Rose Child (Gay Bean)], and Almondpaw [ TeamInkBot]."

He didn't think he missed anyone else. As luck would have it, not many apprentices were down a mentor!

Looks like he was the first to make it there - granted he hadn't been so far away from it. Sleetpaw turned an expectant gaze up to Lionstar as he waited for the other apprentices to show so they could get this nuisance over with. He just wanted to train!

The fluffy warrior hated water with a passion so the offer was great, but he knew that she had been joking so he kept a light tone. If Eveninglight felt like helping later on with the refresher lesson he wouldn’t say no, but he wasn’t going to pressure her into it. The tom turned to look lazily at the stream stone, stretching out his muscles and giving his fur a shake with a long yawn.

Petuniapaw had joined the meeting a little later then she wanted to but it seemed she missed a little fight between Goosefury and a new warrior form ShadowClan. So that was good. However the ginger and white patches apprentice didn't know how to take it. Mister Loinstar said not all ShadowClanners were foes but that didn't make much sense considering the Clan was made of cats. It would be a matter for later. Now Petuniapaw would wait eagerly to see who got a new mentor it would be fun!

Brightwhisker trudged out of the warriors den. The long legged tom had had difficulty sleeping last nightm his stomach up in knots for reasons he didn't know. Maybe he ate a spoiled fish? Sighing, the warrior made his way to join in on the announcements as Lionstar was announcing mentor replacements for a few apprentices. His dark eyes scanned the crowd as he did habitually now, searching for a glimpse of Ravenpaw. Or even Bumblebelly to ask him later how she's been these last few moons and how things for her were going.

With Harepaw, he'd been so busy, he hadn't had much time to visit his friend to ask about her.

She'd finished nearly all her training, but it was no thanks to her mentor. For all she cared, Shimmeringpool could've disappeared and it probably wouldn't have affected her progress. "So, how's your mentor?"

A Shadowclan warrior, some apprentice stuff... Bit boring, was every clan meeting like this? They peered over at Stingkit, a small tilt to their head. "You're one of the other kittens Bumblebelly looks after, right?" They muttered, shuffling a little closer.

Sparrowflame groaned internally, trudging out to the Streamstone for the meeting. Were they late? Well, not that they really cared, less time here meant less cats trying to talk to them.

Coastpaw padded to the streamstone at Lionstar's call and casually listened as the golden leader went through his announcements. He gazed curiously at the new warrior from Shadowclan the tom spoke of and then listened about the normal stuff: more apprentices getting new mentors. He was once again grateful that Splashfury was keeping him busy.

Okay, it appeared only Sleetpaw and Almondpaw wanted the opportunity for a new mentor.

"Sleetpaw [ Dust], it's unfortunate you're the only one of your siblings to still be around. You just have a habit of losing cats, don't you? Reminds me of someone I used to know.. I hope Sparkblaze [ cwoudii] will do a better job of maintaining a stable presence in your life. Sparkblaze, you are a protective and bold warrior, and I trust you will pass these traits onto Sleetpaw."

"Almondpaw [ TeamInkBot], you're the unique case of today. Your mentor isn't missing... as far as I know, but he sure as hell hasn't done a damn thing with you. Frostflame [ Laser eyeballs], I am not officially stripping Almondpaw as your apprentice.. but I am assigning him a second mentor. If you actually decide to be involved in his training, I'll let you remain his mentor and reassign the second. Otherwise, you'll lose him and I'll want to talk to you in my den." Lionstar had no plans on playing nice with Frostflame if he kept this up. He had his chance to be an active participant and blew it.

"Cricketsong [ softnaps], I know I can trust you to ensure Almondpaw's training is picked up. Please let me know if Frostflame is continuing to not pull his weight-- or if any other issue comes up."

As always, he'd give them a moment to group up before he went into the next portion of his announcements.

Sparkblazes's eyes shone, and she dipped her head to Lionstar, a big smile on her face. She turned to Sleetpaw, and touched noses with the apprentice. "I'm a mentor!" She thought, her chest puffed out proudly.

She'd finished nearly all her training, but it was no thanks to her mentor. For all she cared, Shimmeringpool could've disappeared and it probably wouldn't have affected her progress. "So, how's your mentor?"

Duckpaw wondered why Berrypaw disliked her mentor, but she just shrugged it off. "My mentor is great." Duckpaw said smiling. "I learned some of my first moves, which I think are pretty cool and useful. Also, I was pretty surprised that I nailed most of them on my first try." This probably wasn't an interesting topic for Berrypaw to listen to because she probably has already had weeks of training, and gotten every skill perfect on her first try. Not to mention, Duckpaw did catch that her expression was quite annoyed and bored.

"I was hoping that my own brother might announce my return but apparently a frog licker is more important than little old me," Koistream commented rather loudly, a playful tone to his words as a smooth giggle slipped from his lips,

his real comment was made in a smae voice, "Legit can't expect him to call a meeting just for Russetstrike, ya know? Gotta be somethin' else goin' on, I reckon..." He murmured to Gentlethunder, eyes scanning the clearing for anything out of the ordinary.

As Koistream spoke up about being Lionstar's brother Gentlethunder blankly looked at the Calliby. His clanmate's statement throwing him off guard. "You're bumblebutt's brother? Really?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. A baffled expression blooming on his face. He'd never actually figured the tom had siblings...well he never really thought about it actually. "I figured he just kinda...absorbed all his siblings in the womb...becoming one giant kit. Much like right now." he hummed, looking up at the tom with a smirk.

Though, as he settled beside her, his stomach churned with dismay - gaze focused hard on the ground as he held back a few worried tears.

Another night of little sleep and restless thoughts, but he briefly broke away from his own misery to stare through the formed-crowd of cats to catch sight of Otterstone, if she was around. He hadn't seen her in the den but acknowledged he'd woke late, slept through the sunrise somehow. A drawback of the unintentional all-nighters. Trying to squeeze in as if he'd always been there, he stumbled a bit clumsily--only half awake--into the mass of cats.

Frozenpaw emitted a high-pitched keen at their mother's nudging. "I don't WANT to!" they squawked in a protest but to no avail, only hearing Iceflower tell them to 'shut up and sit, no make scene'.. but they didn't like it. They wanted to refuse! Rebel! ...Maybe those things weren't ladylike though, or warrior-like, which was the sole reason further complaints were immediately extinguished. Huffing a little, they plopped down, not too jolly about their own attendance.

Iceflower raised her head to ensure others hadn't witnessed her kit being a little brat as usual, proud of her appearance in front of the clan and wishing to avoid a tiny scrap foiling what she'd worked for. She didn't see why Lionstar couldn't keep a closer eye on Frozenpaw - that was his responsibility now, she could do the announcements while he babysat the whiny baby.

All that wiggling and shuffling around just to be rejected. Koistream couldn't help the scoff as he not-so-gracefully rolled back over, completely flopping out into a puddle of limbs, only difference being he was lacking one of them.

He quirked his ginger brow up at Gentlethunder, a small tilt to his head. "Bumblebutt? Isn't that one of the queens?" He couldn't help but wonder how in Starclans name did Lionstar end up with a nickname like that but honestly.

Koistream snorted out his laughter, muffling an amused squeal. "You're right about the engulfing thing... Hes the one who took my leg!" Koistream howled with laughter, wiggling his little bald stump.

What a brave little thing! Lionstar couldn't help but be entertained by Stonepaw's short speech. "Then that's well within your right! Like I said, this was an opportunity-- not a requirement. I respect your decision to keep the name you feel most befitting of you."

He noticed Softpaw's hesitance but didn't pressure her into stepping forward: it seemed Flyfur's nod of encouragement did wonders for the young she-cat as that's all it took for her to come forward.

"Softpaw," he greeted her. "Since your name doppleganger has vanished from the Clan, I believe it is time for you to be restored to your former prefix. From this day forward until you've received your warrior name, you will be known as Featherpaw [ kittygirl]. If the other one comes back, she'll get a new name." Lionstar gave Featherpaw a small wink.

He figured it was only fair-- why take a name away from the cat who'd remained in the Clan the entire time?

He planned on giving Featherpaw a moment to enjoy her new name before he moved onto the next ceremony.

“I didn’t think saying it wasn’t nice to meet you is altogether the best way to make friends” Stingkit said quietly curling his tail around his tiny paws. Maybe coralkit was struggling making friendships with other kittens, they certainly went about it all wrong. Yeah that was probably it. “Oh. I don’t think I’ve met them quite yet... I’ll be sure to avoid them I guess.” His tail curled little amber eyes turning back to gave the tiny kit a strange look. Maybe he’d have to check out this buzzkit for himself. For all he knew Coral could be the weird one.

Lightfeather just narrowed her eyes. Of course it was the hater, she thought, setting her eyes on Featherpaw. She didn't mind if the apprentice noticed her or her ruffled fur. All she could think about was what the she-cat had said while she tried to train her... Featherpaw seemed happy to see her at first, but after a day... ugh. Lightfeather couldn't even remember what happened. She was too stressed out to even think straight. She kept staring at Featherpaw. Whatever. She won't care. Care about what? She just thought randomly wherever she went, angrier and angrier each step she ever took.

She didn't think she'd see her again...she felt so bad about what she had said...,"lightfeather I-..." Her voice went low and whispered, "i-im so sorry.." featherpaw trotted away with her tail dragging.

Lionstar didn't miss the saltiness Lightfeather seemed to hold for Featherpaw, and he pursed his muzzle in a frown. "Hey Lightfeather, instead of glowering at your former apprentice why don't you congratulate her on receiving her preferred name?"

He was going to lose his patience with this one. First, she came to him crying about her inability to fight. Then she disappeared, came back like a lunatic-- and she was angry with Featherpaw? Hell no.

Lionstar would keep a close eye on her if this was how she wanted to behave.

"We have one kit that may be ready to become an apprentce." He was open for stopping the ceremony if Maplekit wanted to be a problem child again.

"Maplekit [ I am FLOWSTREAM], I delayed your ceremony last meeting because you threatened one of your Clan-mates. I hope, at the very least you have learned to abstain from such violent tendencies. Come forward to receive your apprentice name."

Maplekit sighed, then thought, This could be my chance to apologize to Berrypaw! He stepped forward, looking up at Lionstar. I don't feel like I should be made an apprentice, though... Now was not the time for pity parties, he was about to be made an apprentice, not wait five more moons

Something caught Foxpaw’s eye and she turned to see Fawnsqueak stumbling through the clearing. She quickly padded over to check on him, “Hey are you ok? You don’t look so good there.”

OH NO. No no no no no no no. NO. This was not going to sit well with Berrypaw. Maplesnitch becoming an apprentice would only make her already complicated life even more hectic and difficult. Who knew what kind of trouble would be stirred up if the two now shared a den once more? OBJECTION! I OBJECT! She wanted to do something like... protest the ceremony... or... or make up some excuse that would keep him in the nursery for longer. But she didn't. The molly knew it would likely only make matters worse. She didn't want to get on Lionstar's bad side, or risk another tussle with Maplesnitch over a stupid rank change. Besides, it wasn't like this was in her power or something she had a say in anyways. Oh well. She'd just need some... heightened security measures. And maybe some more creative ways to avoid interacting with him unless necessary. At least she had Silentpaw, and maybe Fernpaw to help her out. Putting on a fake smile of happiness and excitement for the kit, the apprentice watched and waited for the ceremony to begin.

Mossyrose padded out of the warrior's den and yawned his tired state away. Blinking his amber eyes slowly drifted across the clearing to see a group of cats sitting at the Streamstone. Whoops! Suddenly the calico was wide away and rushing to the middle of the crowd feeling guilty for arriving late.

Sunpaw was still sleeping when Lionstar was starting the clan meeting. It took a random cat to knock their paw into his head to wake up the firey tom. "Hey!" Before he could chew the apprentice out they whisked away and into the clearing. Getting up and taking his sweet time the apprentice finally made his way to the meeting.

Since the conflict between Russetstrike and Goosefury was semi-defused, Lionstar was ready to continue.. with a dirty look shot toward Koistream's way. "I'll get to that in a moment!"

Before he jumped into the new joining further, he wanted to start with the reassignments. Goosefury just had to go around ruining his plans!

"We have a few apprentices who are unfortunately in need of new mentors. The cats previously assigned to them have decided to vanish or be layabouts.." he narrowed his eyes. Frostflame hadn't even bothered to show up yet. Of course. "Instead of properly doing their duty.

"Apprentices, when I call your name I expect you to step forward.

"Sleetpaw [ Dust], Ringpaw [ Rose Child (Gay Bean)], and Almondpaw [ TeamInkBot]."

He didn't think he missed anyone else. As luck would have it, not many apprentices were down a mentor!

Ringpaw glanced up from where she sat, her ears perking up. She stood on her paws, taking careful steps forward before standing before Lionstar. She dipped her head respectfully. "Yes, Lionstar?", she asked. Heh... I guess Whitestripe just decided to run off. Now I have to get a new mentor... Again. sighing, she raised her head to gaze at her leader, patiently waiting to see who he would assign to her. I hope they're nice... I don't want a mean mentor.

"Maplekit [ I am FLOWSTREAM]," Lionstar mused his name as the kit came forward. "From this moment forth, you will be known as Maplepaw. Rainydawn [ Beau], I hope you can pass on your strength to this young tom. If he gives you any issues, please let me know." Rainydawn was an odd one, if Lionstar were to be honest. A closed shell.. but perhaps an apprentice would crack her open a bit.

And maybe, she'd reign his violence tendancies in.

When Ringpaw finally came forward, Lionstar had to scowl a little bit. He had moved on from the mentor reassignments to do other ceremonies and now she decided to show up? Her ceremony could be done some other time, he wasn't going to postpone the remainder of her announcements because she couldn't be remotely punctual. "Ringpaw [ Rose Child (Gay Bean)], I called you over long before the rest of these ceremonies were conducted. We can speak about your punctuality and new mentor after the meeting.." he furrowed his brow. "But you missed your shot at a reassignment during this session."

And he was going to leave it at that, because he had another important ceremony to do and he didn't plan on wasting his time with someone who already wasted his earlier.

"There is one cat ready to become a warrior today, and I'm pleased to announce Cottonpaw [ Sparkling Bliss] has reached the end of his training.

Rainydawn’s eyes widened as Lionstar gave her an apprentice. Why had he chosen her? An apprentice was the last thing she wanted- aside maybe from a tom flirting with her. At this point, she didn’t need a tom flirting with her! She had been in Goosefury’s nest two nights in a row! The way that the thought sounded made Rainydawn blush furiously even though she hadn’t spoken it out loud. Why had she thought it that way? It wasn’t like they were doing anything. She’d been calming him down after his nightmares and they’d been talking about parents and memories. Still... it was the closest she’d been to a cat in moons. Ever since...

Rainydawn realized that she’d been lost in thought and quickly got to her paws. She had to go meet her new apprentice. The young warrior hurried to the front of the crowd with her head low, eyeing her clan mates through her peripheral vision. Once she was there, she waited uncomfortably for the young tom to appear so she could touch his nose and get out of the spotlight. The last thing she needed now was attention from her clan mates when she was already struggling to stay in the shadows. The molly offered a minor dip of her head to Lionstar, not keeping her eyes on him as though she had something to hide. Well, she did- herself.

Cottonpaw felt eyes sink in and it took him a moment to register that he was becoming a warrior. The white tom looked up at Lionstar, excitement shown in his eyes. He was finally becoming a warrior. He stood up and stepped forward, starting to feel a little nervous.

Maplekit walked up to his new mentor, Rainydawn, and touched noses with her. I hope she's good at training, he thought. If he wanted to be a good warrior, then he'll have to know everything he could in order to be experienced one... "When do we start?" he mumbled impatiently, wanting to learn how to fish and fight, collect moss... Actually, no moss collecting on the first day... I would rather fight or hunt...

When Maplepaw appeared and touched her nose, Rainydawn flicked her tail and led the way to the side of the crowd once more, grateful not to be in the center of all those prying eyes anymore.

“We can start after the meeting. I’ll show you the territory.”

Rainy dawn kept her answer brief and to the point, not letting her tone be anything other than professional. She would have to work extra hard not to let this cat in now that they’d be spending so much time together. So many things could happen. She couldn’t let herself start caring for any cat, let alone a you g one with a whole life of danger ahead of him that she would be training him for.

To be quite honest, Lionstar was pretty damn proud of the white apprentice.

Cottonpaw read his lips as he spoke and he understood everything. He would never let his deafness get in the way of anything and he will stand tall for his disability. "I do.", The white tom meowed with confidence even though he was scared out of his mind. Cottonpaw wouldn't let it show, since he's come this far.

"Then by the powers of the Star Cats, I give you your warrior name.

"Cottonpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Cottonstrike [ Sparkling Bliss]. The Star Cats honor your agility and battle prowess, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan."

Lionstar gave the new warrior a smile. With how wild he was on the battlefield, he wasn't convinced there was a better name for the fiery white tom. "Tonight, I want you to stand vigil as a camp guard. Challenge any scent you don't recognize."

It would be good practice for the other tom in the future, since Lionstar was pretty sure most training sessions didn't cover the act of ensuring camp security.

Eagleflower stood up, excitement and pride towards his former foster sibling growing more intense by the second. His yowl of congratulations rang louder than usual, his green gaze sparking with sudden happiness. Thunderpa-Cottonp-Cottonstrike had made it. He'd finally made it to warriorhood. He hadn't had any doubts about it, honestly. The tom worked twice as hard as everyone else, was constantly around, and on top of that, he'd been a total trooper with his disability. The young tom was incredible. A grin taking up his maw, he yelled once more, this time chanting his new name.
"Cottonstrike! Cottonstrike! Cottonstrike!" He cried, his tail bushing with the overwhelming feeling of pride.

From what Willowkit understood Cottonstrike couldn't hear her chanting but it seemed rude to not chant for the new warrior. She stood up and made big movements pounding her feet and yelling "Cottonstrike! Cottonstrike!" Hopefully he'd at least see that cats were supporting him even if he couldn't hear it.

Grizzlybug and Rainydawn both shouted the name from different corners of the crowd. Grizzlybug yelled with abandon and his fluffy tail wagging while Rainydawn called more woodenly and let her voice be drowned out by all the others.

Foggykit didn’t know what was going on but she wanted to be involved so she yelled out with the clan.

"Cottonstrike! Cottonstrike!" Berrypaw called out cheerfully. Now, unlike Maplesnitch, the molly didn't mind this ranking up. When they'd been younger apprentices, Cottonstrike had taken her and a couple other to hunt crabs at Lionsbeach, and that had been quite fun, so she was happy for the older tom. But there was also something about it that made her... yearn. She was so close to receiving the same ceremony. All she needed was one last training session and her final assessment. And then, she'd be up there, standing gloriously and being made into a warrior.

Stingkit wobbled his way into the clearing popping down onto his haunches. He was late, what a tragedy. As Lionstar conducted the meeting he found himself squinting to try and see better. After all the sun was bright and his eyes were quite sensitive. Eventually folding in on the whole seeing thing he tuned in as best he could. A new warrior. How exciting. The little toms tail curled in delight. For the most part he’d figured out of the ranks of his home, Leader- whoever was after that, a medicine cat, warriors, apprentices, queens and than kits. Oh and elders. He gingerly glanced over his shoulder at the den with a shiver. Weird. Once the uproar of chanting erupted from the crowd the small kitten added his own little shouts “cottonstrike! Cottonstrike!”

“Cottonstrike! Cottonstrike!” chanted Splashfury who purred. Another warrior, another fighter. Riverclan was not weak!

Coastpaw chanted the new warrior's name along with the rest of the clan, suddenly wanting to go train so that his own warrior ceremony would come quicker. "Cottonstrike! Cottonstrike!" He repeated while daydreaming of his own time.

“I didn’t think saying it wasn’t nice to meet you is altogether the best way to make friends” Stingkit said quietly curling his tail around his tiny paws. Maybe coralkit was struggling making friendships with other kittens, they certainly went about it all wrong. Yeah that was probably it. “Oh. I don’t think I’ve met them quite yet... I’ll be sure to avoid them I guess.” His tail curled little amber eyes turning back to gave the tiny kit a strange look. Maybe he’d have to check out this buzzkit for himself. For all he knew Coral could be the weird one.



Coralkit felt the frustration build up in their chest, words were stupid! Stupid stupid stuipd! They kicked a paw into he dusty sand of the clearing. "I meant better than nice! Nice is boring, you dont seem boring," They hissed.

Coralkit heard the chanting and frowned. Did they have to do that? It made them ponder about their own warrior name. "What do you think your name will be?" They meowed, mood changing as quick as the breeze.

Well.. after the clearing incident, Lionstar figured this was a good time to call a Clan meeting.

Originally, he had planned to call a meeting for the exile but he was glad he chose to confront Ravenpaw directly beforepaw. Lionstar didn't care for the unneccessary "crazy cat" drama and was looking forward to a quieter, more peaceful meeting.

"All those old enough to swim, gather beneath the Streamstone for a Clan meeting!" His voice was a yowl as he took his spot on the Streamstone, furrowing his brow.

Let's see. He figured he'd start with the apprentices needing new mentors, and then go from there. That sounded like the best thing to do.

Start things off normally, before he got into the grim news. He didn't want to put a cloud over anyone's head to start things up.

It seemed to go by in a flash, his ears buzzing with static as his mind replayed over and over and over what Lion had said. That same strangling feeling wrapped itself around his heart once more. Hopefully this meeting wouldn't last much longer.. Sleetpaw just wanted to get out of camp. With a hoarse meow, the apprentice glanced up at his new mentor,

All that wiggling and shuffling around just to be rejected. Koistream couldn't help the scoff as he not-so-gracefully rolled back over, completely flopping out into a puddle of limbs, only difference being he was lacking one of them.

He quirked his ginger brow up at Gentlethunder, a small tilt to his head. "Bumblebutt? Isn't that one of the queens?" He couldn't help but wonder how in Starclans name did Lionstar end up with a nickname like that but honestly.

Koistream snorted out his laughter, muffling an amused squeal. "You're right about the engulfing thing... Hes the one who took my leg!" Koistream howled with laughter, wiggling his little bald stump.

"He certianly is a Queen. Bumblebutt has enough confidence for the whole clan...but in actuality. I believe so." he hummed in thought, tilting himself off to the side. He'd seen the tom around but he had yet to actually interact with him. Seemed to be constantly surrounded by little gremlins.

Shooting his head down at the Warriors shrill laughter Gentlethunder smirked. "It's all making sense now. You're the only one who managed to get out alive." he snickered. Opening his maw to throw in another quip his attention was turned to Lionstar as he gave an Apprentice their new Warrior name. His smirk was replaced with a grin. "COTTONSTRIKE COTTONSTRIKE!" he bellowed.

"Alright." he began, once again turning to look down at Koistream. "You have two seconds to tell me your name until I make one up for you." he stated, flicking his tail from side to side as he counted down mentally.

Something caught Foxpaw’s eye and she turned to see Fawnsqueak stumbling through the clearing. She quickly padded over to check on him, “Hey are you ok? You don’t look so good there.”

Birdbrain here hatched from it, screeching as loudly as he does now." His own grin was huge, completely mischievous with no harm behind it. "Just between you and me..." Koistream let his voice drop for a moment, "He used to eat worms as a kitten, to fuel his inner bird,"

Koistream almost flinched at the sudden names chanting. For a moment he had blissfully forgotten about the failure of his mentorship. At least he nor no one else would have to worry about them anymore. Perhaps he would have a better experience with an apprentice in the future? "Cottenstrike, Cottenstrike!" He called out, trying to hide the slight pain in his voice.

The name left a sour taste in his mouth but at least he had Gentlethunder to distract him. His name? "I've been called stumpy but I dont know how tasteful that name is considering my tail isn't the only thing lacking now," He murmured, glaring down at where his arm should be, "The name is Koistream! What about yourself?"

Lionstar winked at his stupid brother before he went on.

"But sometimes, with joining comes tragedy. Earlier today, I was informed of another attempt of deception by Ravenpaw and exiled her from RiverClan. She refused to be honest toward her Clan-mates, and by doing so was willing to allow another instance of trespassing to go unreported. Actions like these, RiverClan, can result in our Clan being raided because of the recklessness of some of our Clan-mates.

"Unfortunately, although she accepted she was exiled she refused to leave. She became raving, absolutely crazy-- to the point where she shoved me away when I tried to encourage her to leave peacefully and opened herself up to a hawk attack. She was carried off by the bird, but I have no doubt she did not survive." Lionstar sighed. "I had hoped.. being under Bumblebelly's wing would improve her taste for lying and keeping secrets, but you can't change some cats. Keep an eye out for her body if it gets dropped somewhere in our territory, please."

Lionstar had already started to slide down from the rock. "This meeting is dismissed."

Brightwhisker felt like the ground beneath his paws had shattered. He felt like he was suddenly falling through nothing and it was hard to breath. Because what? What?

Ravenmist was-- Ravenpaw was...

Blue eyes widened, but stared unseeingly at the streamstone even as Lionstar called the meeting to a close. Ravenmist was dead and he had no idea how everything had gone up in flames like it had.

Raven...Raven wasn't crazy, she had never been one to acted so...so out of character. To be exiled, but then...be carried off? Nothing made sense in Brightwhiskers head. Nothing that had been going on made sense. But more importantly...couldn't he have prevented this if he had been allowed to stay by her and watch out for her?

He didn't feel himself stand. His dark eyes glances around. Nothing registered. There was no familiar fur in his periphery, no cheerful voice calling out to him. Brightwhisker almost though perhaps she would leap onto him in surprise. Ravenmist had liked surprises.

He needed to find Bumblebelly. None of that sounded like the Ravenmist he knew, he just couldn't understand how everything ended up like this...

He was new but this was his home now and they were his clanmates. "Everything is okay?" She whispered to the tom.

Rushing out of the den, Red fang was quick to join the meeting and sit down.

Spaced out for the better end of the meetings, all Sleetpaw managed to catch was,

Turning an expectant gaze up to his new mentor, Sleetpaw tilted his head to the side before pushing himself up. He shifted away from Sparkblaze.. that same awkwardness creeping up under his pelt. Ugh.. he was just getting used to his old mentor as well. Sleetpaw flicked his tail,

Flyfur sighed. The situation with Ravenpaw could have been avoided. An instance of panic had led to her demotion but the way she continued to act worsened to the point it led to her exile and almost immediately, her death.
She shook the thought from her head. She gave the now Featherpaw a groom to her forehead and trotted up to Koistream. "Welcome back. If you would like help settling back in to clan life, I would be more than happy to help you." She murmered fondly and gently pressed into his side.

There were a few ceremonies to do, and he was looking forward to making sure they were done. A bit irked with some of the kits but, that just told him they were too stupid to be apprentices.

And that was hardly his problem.

If they wanted to postpone their life, they could do it until he kicked them out of the Clan for being lazy and useless. He wouldn't bat an eye at doing it, either. Cottonstrike padded out of the warriors den after a couple of other cats. He knew when there was a clan meeting. He was getting the hang of it and nobody needed to tell him there was one anymore. The deaf tom sat in the front of the group to get a closer look at Lionstar when he spoke.

Almondbush had already been sitting in camp when he heard him call for a meeting. The tom looked up at the yellow shadow of his leader. He watched as other cats began to gather around.

Skunkkit heard the meeting get called and ran out of the den. She loved these meetings. They always seemed to be important. The black and white tuxedo kit sat down right outside the nursery and looked up at her leader.

Another meeting! Petuniapaw wiggled out of the apprentices' den, cheerfully joining the gathering group. Meets were always interesting, even when they got sad or cats started fighting. Though she preferred her Clanmates not to fight.
Still, Amber eyes turned up to Mister Lionstar, excited to see what he was going to say this time.

A grudge is what Reedkit held against Lionstar. A childish thing , yes. But what did you expect from someone like him? No way was he going to apologize , he assumed Stealthkit and the others had , since he ended up hearing their conversation in the nursery. Suck ups. He thought quite bitterly , shooting a glare towards Splashkit once he saw her when he arrived at the streamstone. He glanced at a few other kits. He couldn't help but wonder if Lionstar would actually make them apprentices early. Surely he wouldn't! Kits were only made apprentices when they were..six moons. If he apprenticed them , when some of them were only about two moons , that would be...be illegal! Er- against the code. Which he definitely knew , more than Bluekit (who he was a bit jealous of , how dare she recite the code perfectly?). Well , if they did become apprentices early , all he had to say was good riddance! Still , even if he was in a bad mood he couldn't help but feel a bit curious as to what the meeting was about. Maybe about new warriors , apprentices , all of that boring junk. Or him being forgiven for his very small mistake and his apprentice ceremony wouldn't be delayed! Well!! If not I'll...I don't know what LL do , but I'll do something! He thought with a confirming nod to himself.

I didn’t mean to get us caught.” She looked away. “I’ve lost almost everything I’ve waited for.” The guilt that she was so close To becoming an apprentice, then ruining it all weighed on her like a physical burden. ~RooRoo~

But if it didn't, then she wouldn't really mind. There was always more meetings to come, and they happened quite often, so she assumed she wouldn't have to wait very long.

She looked up at Sparrowflame from her splayed position on her paws and chirped,

When the meeting sounded, Goosefury's first instinct was to ignore it completely and go back to sleep. But the longer he lay there and the more he thought about it, the more he came to realize that it could be something important that he couldn't afford to miss.
So with a grunt, he got himself up and went outside. His gaze swept quickly through the crowd and found Rainydawn, so he hurried over to sit by her. "Hello," he mumbled, looking and sounding incredibly tired.

Rainydawn had been lost in thought while waiting for the meeting to start and she actually jumped when Goosefury appeared. Smiling sheepishly and shaking her head at herself, Rainydawn responded with a cheery,

“Hello!”

Wow. Why did she sound so excited? This was just a clan meeting! Ugh, she needed to get herself together. Rainydawn flattened down the fur that had fluffed up in her surprise and shot another tentative smile at Goosefury, noticing how dead he looked. She snorted as she watched the grey tom nearly keel over then and there and teased,

“Someone must have missed his beauty sleep today- you look like your about to fall asleep sitting up.”

Sparrowflame knew that voice. They looked down at their paws and huffed out a little laugh, leaning down to help Foggykit back up. "Hello Foggykit. Decided to come to the meeting?" The calico readjusted their paws, debating moving up closer to the meeting so that Foggykit could hear Lionstar better. They didn't want to necessarily socialize with anyone, but they would to make things easier for their daughter.
Then again, Lionstar was plenty loud and all that would require Foggykit to walk a ways up. The two were just fine here. "Are Twistingkit and Dizzykit coming too?"
