Help, I'm drowning in myself [Open]

Icy cold closed around the black pelted molly as she forced herself out of the warriors den. Sighing, Mistyshade breathed in the fresh morning air. The cold she had felt, it was inside, and didn't want to leave. As sleepy green eyes scanned the clearing, she could feel herself crumbling inside. Isolation creeped into her body. It seemed like no one even wanted her anymore.

Heavy paws ran across the clearing. Mistyshade knew she had to go hunting, do something for her clan... Yet every step was an obstacle. She couldn't push on. Morning air wafted into her nose again. Maybe that would help...

The chilly outside air buffeted the russet tom's fur slightly, causing him to shiver. His alert leaf green gaze swept around the clearing as he sat below the Thunderwillow, his tail wrapped neatly around his wide paws.

A scent hit him, quite strong actually. Acornpatch sniffed, and finally saw Mistyshade lumbering out of the warriors den, she looked... dead. Well, as dead as a living cat could look. A small pang of sadness hit him, no cat should go through suffering like that, not even those fishy RiverClan cats.

Silently and slowly, he padded to the black-pelted mollie's side, rubbing his pelt against her's. "You okay? You seem.. down." He had tried to find the word he was looking for without upsetting her.

Mistyshade's head snaps up. She sees Acornpatch in front of her. "Oh.. Uh.. I'm fine," she meows quietly. It does ' t really sound real. Would Acornpatch believe her? Maybe she could... Shift the topic? That could bring him to forget how she just looked, how down she was, how she was drowining in herself...

Mistyshade forces herself to ignore the topic. She looks back at Acornpatch. "Maybe... Do you,,, want to go... Hunting with me?," she asks, stammering. She needed to make something up fastly... "I... I know I'm,,, uh,,, stammering, but... That's just a cold."

A shiver creeps up in the black tabby molly's inside. She tries to hold it, but can't. Her feelings are threatening to burst out of her. Maybe she should tell Acornpatch the truth...? But what would that bring? One more cat worrying about her? That wasn't what she needed right now...

He furrowed his brow, and gave her a soothing lick on the ear. "Sure, but You are gonna tell me what's wrong." The very short tom declared, padding beside her as they walked out the camp entrance. JUst because he didn't know her well doesn't mean he was gonna let her be lonely. Every cat needed a friend!
@Starry I changed him up a bit so Acorn is vv short and vv gay and vv quiet, he only speaks to his siblings and honey, and appearently now mistyshade

Mistyshade sighs. "It's complicated...," she starts, thinking about what to say. "Loyalty drives me to this. I'm exhausted, feel like I can't carry on and I'm drowning in myself," she replies curtly.

"Drowning in yourself... That's one way to put it.." He mumbled, looking up at the vv tall mollie. The rather quiet tom just padded along beside her, rubbing up against her. He found her as a friend, and nothing more. Besides, he like toms. He shook his head as a slight blush came over his face, he was really sure about liking just toms? He had caught himself staring at Mistyshade countless times before.. But this time was different. "Do you really want to hunt..? It's way to cold."



would you mind if he becomes, sooner or later, the 'mate' she is looking for?

Mistyshade shakes her head. "Well, uh, not really...," she replies quietly. "I just didn't really want to share my thought, you know?," she asks, unsure. She sighs. "I mean, do you want to go hunting? We can still go if you do..." Sighing, she moves a little closer to the tom. "Thank you for not being mad at me after I told you how I feel. I know I can be a little too much, and I have way to many emotions I struggle to keep inside sometimes. Thanks for being a friend, even though we never really talked," she meows unsurely. She is a bit aghast when she sees him blush. "Uh, why are you,,, blushing?," she asks in a small voice. She more of piped it up, like a little kit. Oh, she was so dumb. That question she just asked was embarassing.

Mistyshade nods slowly, tilting her head in curiosity. “May I ask of who?,” she inquires politely. She preffered always seeming polite with other cats, maybe it could help her in forming some kind of friendships...
