Overview: A bright and ambitious cat, Flowerhawk has a very sharp mind (it’s where she got her suffix). She’s mathematically smart (or as much as a cat can be), is a fast learner, and has a good memory. She is logical and creative, although her ideas are often far-fetched. She’s a naïve idealist, often disappointed with reality. Due to her large imagination, she often jumps to wild conclusions and struggles with anxiety. She gets jealous easily, sometimes over unreal situations she imagined. She’s a perfectionist. She gets impatient with herself, and sometimes projects it onto others. She is not the most emotionally intelligent cat, but she does care for the feelings of those around her, though awkwardly.

✧ in-depth: If there’s one thing Dizzy is known for, it’s his kindness. Dizzy isn’t smart, or funny, or even steady on his feet—as his nickname might imply—but he has a heart of soft gold. He’s highly empathetic, and he wears his own emotions on his sleeve, or whatever the warrior version of that is. Unfortunately, Drizzlepaw expects everyone to have the same thoughtfulness and sensitivity he does, and when cats aren’t like him, he’s upset and disappointed, and he’s not afraid to show it.

Dizzy is expressive and dramatic. You never have to guess at what he’s thinking, or how he feels about something, because he’ll tell you. Loudly. Volume control is something he struggles with greatly. He might have heightened awareness regarding cats’ feelings, but otherwise, he’s pretty clueless. What’s etiquette? He doesn’t know. Chewing with your mouth closed, knowing when to stop yapping, even planning for the weather—Drizzlepaw completely misses all of it. He’s not too sharp. In fact, he’s pretty slow, but he tries his best, sometimes. That’s all that matters, right? He’s a sluggish, lazy kind of cat, and he takes his time doing what he needs to. He’s also a major procrastinator and a slob. What’s a neat pelt? Dizzy couldn’t tell you.

One of Drizzlepaw’s greatest flaws is his tendency to get frustrated and give up. If he doesn’t get it on the first try, why keep trying? Failure aggravates him, and encouragement to keep going does, too. They just don’t get it. If he doesn’t get it now, he never will. He has this fixed, pessimistic mindset about pretty much everything in his life, not just training, although it shows the most there. Dizzy is clumsy and uncoordinated, has little spatial awareness, and is a slow learner—the perfect recipe for a disaster of a warrior.

Another flaw of Dizzy’s is his complete inability to stand up for himself and his beliefs. He’s easily swayed and seemingly incapable of forming his own opinions, unless it’s about his “failures.” He’s totally spineless. You think birds are gross? So does Dizzy. ThunderClan’s too meddling? Yeah, those tree-dwellers should really mind their own business. You don’t like that cat? Well, Dizzy always thought they had a weird vibe, too, although he’ll forever feel guilty for saying it.

His fur is short but thick, and while it couldn’t be called coarse, it does have a prick to it.

IDEAS
siblings: Chestnutkit’s easily hurt feelings, argumentative nature, tattling, and clumsy, awkward play may cause his siblings to dislike him, leave him out, or purposely aggravate him, if they are those kinds of cats. He may not play often with them, preferring to do his own thing.

mother: Chestnutkit’s is not going to make a great warrior: he’s not athletic and is highly averted to physical pain. This might worry Marshmallow when he’s older, especially if his training is going badly. She also might have to break up arguments started by Almondkit between his siblings. He’s also a picky eater, and for a little while, will be completely terrified that anything he eats might make him sick, and as a result, avoid eating. He would definitely be a momma’s boy, though, going to his mother all the time when he’s upset or has something new to share.

friends: Chestnutkit would probably struggle to make new friends. He isn’t shy, but he prefers his own company, and on top of that, he’s rather odd. He doesn’t share most kits’ excitement about becoming a warrior. He rarely catches sarcasm and often takes jokes too literally. Plus, he has a strong need to be right, something that pushes others away.
