Primroseadder’s voice was sharp and firm as she called out for her kit. He had already had his tour of the territory, so now it was time to start on his hunting training. “C’mon over ta the camp entrance, Owls. ‘m takin’ ya huntin’.”

Owlpaw quickly bounced up, ears perked as the tiny tom beamed up at his mother, bright blue eyes gleaming in excitement. Don't get too excited little Owl. Right.. he shouldn't be so annoying. But if he acted too different what if mama found out! Yes indeed, she may find out. Very well, continue on.

Primroseadder’s gaze softened, and she bent her head to touch her nose to her kit’s head.

“No, baby,” She murmured softly, giving Owlpaw’s ears a comforting lick. “I want ta start in the territory, where’s there more prey ‘n you’re more likely ta catch somethin’.”

The warrior led the way out of camp, her jaws parted. “Tell me what types of prey ya can detect, Owls.”

"Awwwwww! But you promiseddddddddd!" He squeaked angrily, giving her his best ever pouty face to show his indignation Stop pouting little owls. It's unbecoming. Owls sighed internally but listened, forcing himself not to pout as he followed his mother and mentor out to the territory, opening his maw to take in the scents. Squirrel. Rabbit. Raccoon. Shrew, Chipmunk. The entity rattled off the prey that owls could smell, amd Owls copied, grinning proudly.
