unlike her territory tour, vinepaw had decided to wake up earlier than she believed her mentor would begin training. thankfully, her timing was right. hopefully, this would improve her performance, as she did her best when she had been awake for a bit beforehand. she followed her mentor without a word, as she had the last time.

Primroseadder led the way out of camp and into the territory, her paws carrying her in the direction of the training hollow. Once they had arrived, she started giving out instructions.
“Show me the best huntin’ crouch ya got, Vinepaw,” the RiverClanner ordered briskly, her emerald eyes narrowed down to slits. “I want ta make sure that ya got it down before I let ya do any actual huntin’.”

vinepaw noticed her mentors eyes had narrowed. had she done something wrong? ... it was best not to pay it much mind. if primroseadder truly had an issue, she would let vinepaw know, right? there is no use in overthinking.
she would be lying if vinepaw claimed to know the difference between a hunting crouch and one you would use in combat, so she assumed a battle crouch instead, hoping it was at least similar.

Primroseadder tipped her head to the side, emerald hues narrowing down to slits. Did Vinepaw even know the difference of a battle crouch and the hunter’s crouch?
The warrior shook her head and began to demonstrate, dropping into the hunter’s crouch with ease.
“Like this,” she began, gesturing to her crouched form. “Then, tuck your hind paws as close ta your stomach as possible. The further tucked in, the more power ya will have in your spring.”
