you're a flashy kid alright! the blue-gray flecked warrior thought to himself. the who escapade just to gather herbs was quite flamboyant! "alright flashy kid, we're gonna learn how to climb today!" just uhhh dont fall. rainstalk the flashy warrior would not like that. mhm yup. he didnt want the kids blood on his paws.

his ears perked up at a warrior talking to him, climbing? he was reluctant to learn that ever since he heard the shrieks of hollypaw falling... in any case, he would just be careful.

"alrighty! this tree here, unsheathe your claws, and use them to dig into the bark, one you get to a branch, step on it, and rest." he watched as the apprentice tried, bracing to catch him if drizzlepaw fell.

yeah, okay. he got it. claws unsheathed, he dug it into the bark, past the bark, even, into the wood, and he got a good few tail-lengths off the ground before one of his rear paws slipped off, nonononono. his rear was dangling for a moment before he managed to re-dig his claws into the tree. he got to a branch and swung himself onto it. his legs trembled momentarily before he got a steady grip on the branch. "okay.. now how do i get down?" he queried.

HAHA! the kid did it! "to get down, you can do what you did before but down the tree, or you can jump down, if you jump, bend your legs so that the landing is softened, so you dont break a bone. twist your body in the air to land on your paws."

he nodded as he was instructed, okay, twist in the air to land on paws, bend legs so that the landing was softened. okay. hes got this. he let out a breath before leaping, paws facing down, he flexed his legs, he hit the dirt with a soft thud but he was unscathed, a little winded, but alright physically. "i'm alive!"

hmmm the flashy kid was 6 moons old now, right? he could learn some combat. "drizzlepaw! fighting training" he had taken quite a liking to the 'paw, honestly.

he didnt want to fight, he didnt like fighting. couldnt everyone just get along? why did they have to fight? "okay.." he mumbled

hmm. now that wasnt all that flashy, but he'd manage with the kid. "alright, unsheathe your claws, dont worry about hurting me, i can take it. i'm ✨flashy✨ like that! come at me and i'll correct you as you go!"

he unsheathed his claws hesitantly, and sprung towards rainstalk, who moved out of the way easily.

"dont just spring, twist in the air, move in a way that your opponent cant predict. if youre predictable, then your opponent can read your moves before you even do them, and thats not flashy, yeah?"

right… right… right… be unpredictable. he whipped around once he got to his paws and unleashed a blow to rainstalk's face.

what he hadnt expected was the kid to not say anything and just attack him. guess he took the flashy warriors words to heart. he kept his claws sheathed and batted the side of the 'paw gently, "i could knock you over, if i did, do you know how to protect one of your most vital spots?" he rolled over onto his back, tapping a paw on his stomach. "one good hit here and youre as good as dead. you can cover the majority of it with your front legs if you stretch them, and you still have your rear legs to kick with!"

he nodded. listening intently to the warrior, even so much as to roll over himself and try out the covering technique. "okay.. okay!" he leapt towards rainstalk, claws sheathed -he was too much of a coward to do so with his claws out-, and tried to bite his leg, to a miserable failure as it was tugged away before he could get a hold. he reached up and bap'd the warriors ribs, dragging his paw down as if he were scratching the warrior.

then, he turned, grabbing one of rainstalk's rear legs in his maw.
