Make sure to congratulate Versailles on their promotion from c-mod in training to fully fledged chat moderator! They've worked very hard, and we can't wait to see where they go from here!
Maplemouse
Warrior || She/her ||13 Moons || Lanky tortoiseshell she-cat with one green eye and one blue eye
It had been easy to approach Pineblossom. The hornet had gone out of her way to congratulate Maplemouse on joining Thunderclan. She had been the first and only choice the tortie thought of to teach her the ways of the warrior.
But she couldn't ask one cat to teach her everything. Even if it was awkward, Maplemouse needed to leave her comfort zone and ask around for other lessons. A tour of the territory would be the most urgent. How could she hunt if she had no idea where the borders were?
"Pardon me." She had approached the first kind face her eyes had landed on. Someone whose eyes seemed to share two different colors, the same as hers. Shorecaller. "I need a tour of the territory. Would you mind escorting me?" The tortie stared blankly at her fellow warrior as she waited for an answer, eager to leave camp.
@Minku
What could make a good clan name? Shorecaller didn’t want words he hated or ones that sounded odd.
Lotusclan? Asterclan? They sound cute and pretty!
Oh, he did suppose he liked flower names, so his little imaginary clan can be a flower named clan. And it’s not like he was gonna tell anyone about it, so no one can really judge the names he thinks of, however bad the may be! The warrior started thinking about the real clan’s names. Thunder, Wind, River, Shadow..who came up with these, and why ‘Shadow’ specifically and not something earthy? But..he wouldn’t know to answer to that. Those names’ probably been around for seasons. Maybe the cats of the past just had specific preferences and went with that instead of going with a theme. Well good for them, he suppose…
But he’d get snapped out of his thoughts very soon when Maplemouse approached him. Maplemouse. That was..one of the new warriors. The ones that helped chased off a fox. And she-..was she asking him to give her a tour of the territory? Out of the numerous cats in Thunderclan that she could’ve asked? He didn’t think he stood out much— did he? It was..slightly scary how someone can just…trust on you to give them certain information about something and assume you’d be 100% correct because you live here
Oh Shorecaller that was stupid, ‘course they’ll think you’d know how to give them a tour on the territory considering you went on one as an apprentice and you’ve literally lived here your entire thirteen moons of life
…okay sure. He tried offering a small smile to seem friendlier or polite or..something along those lines at least? “Oh uh…sure, I guess. I’m not..particularly busy” okay, just- just don’t mess up anything, and act like a normal Thunderclan warrior; because he really is just a normal Thunderclan warrior! And cause he’s not busy, he had plenty of motivation and energy left to spare. So this should…this should go…smoothly. Smoothly, yea. Just don’t embarrass yourself, Shorecaller. Maybe yhis could prove himself to be more useful and more, y’know, active in the clan without directly being too loud. He can just..help teach stuff he knows he can teach. “..Follow me” right, he needs to lead the way; so he got up, and gestured for the newcomer to follow him outside the camp’s walls. So far..not bad..he was already trying to think of good explanations for each landmark so he doesn’t need to come up with them on the spot
[General Territory]
“You’ve uh…I’m sure you’ve seen a glance at the general territory when Spiderth-star brought you to camp, right..?” that didn’t sound too bad, right? Just..a normal neutral starter that doesn’t sound rude or mean. He’s look at Maplemouse every once in a while. Why was he doing this? Well..uh..maybe it’s to make sure she was still following? Maybe it was so he doesn’t feel too distant? Maybe it’s to keep his mind from wandering? “It’s…just a lot of trees, and some..parts where the trees—” what’s the word for it again? He did think of these earlier, but he didn’t manage to throughly think of the correct words before he felt like he needed to say them. But now he had less than a second to think of the word and continue the sentence “—kinda just..break off and form small clearings here and there…some cats…use it to train apprentices; since, it’s less dense and with more room to move and stuff” that was a good explanation, right? He didn’t sound stupid and overly unsure of himself? Maybe he should add just a bit “of course, some trees like..oaks…for example…are..thicker and sturdier than others. Which is..good for beginners to..get started with learning how to climb” …uh..sure Shorecaller. That..probably sounded better in his head, but he just hoped he was doing an ok job at his work at the very least
