Alright, Wolfhawk had a decent crowd. Time to get started. The brown tripod straightened himself, green eyes facing the crowd of cats that had gathered. "Alright. We're starting off with a basic poison. You should know this one - deathberries. Deathberries are bright red berries with a sweet scent. They got black seeds, too. But don't go near em. One can kill a kit, and a bit more for a full-grown warrior. So stay away.

Since we started with an easy one, I'll also tell ya another one. Foxglove seeds. They're like poppyseeds, but drastically different. Poppy seeds make ya sleepy, Foxglove seeds kill ya, or make ya go to sleep and not wake up, in other words. Just like deathberries, One seed can kill a kit and a bit more can kill any cat, guarenteed," Wolfhawk said, reciting the two from his memory. Once he finished talking, he paused for a moment before asking "Alright, before we move on, do we have any questions so far?"

Flowerhawk pictured the berries in her mind, making a mental note to watch out for anything bright red next time she was out. Same with the foxglove seeds. She’d have to be careful if she ever needed to find poppyseed for whatever reason.

Okay, cool, the learning started!
Butterflypaw listened carefully as Wolfhawk started to explain the poisonous stuff.

Deathberries, she'd heard of them.
They were bad. Super bad.

Next, Foxglove. She hadn't heard of that one.
So... it was like poppy seeds... but not?
...
Okay, she has questions.

"I have one! She said loudly and eagerly, and she didn't wait for confirmation that she could ask "If you just... like, had poppy seeds and foxglove seeds in front of you, and it's just the seeds, how do you tell the difference?"

Oh, good—other cats are also curious about the differences between foxglove and poppy seeds. Peachpaw's never heard about foxglove seeds, but he knows poppy's a far more common herb to have sitting around and those seeds are little. If there's a deadly lookalike out there, he'd love to know how to differentiate.

His only other question...

"How long do these things take to kill someone?"

Well, didn't look like her littermates were joining her. Oh well. She listened closely to Wolfhawk's instructions, and nodded in agreement with Butterflypaw's question. "Yes, you say that poppy seeds and foxglove seeds are similar, is there a way to distinguish them from each other other than the flower?" She reiterated.

Burnedpaw nodded at Wolfhawk's explanation and description. "I have a questions as well." He chimed in. "I notice you don't have examples of these poisons here. What will we need to know for when we're out on patrols. Like, where do these herbs grow? And what do they look like when they do grow?" He asked, wanting to ensure that he knew what to look out for if he was ever asked to go on a patrol for herbs.
