Not closing in on Roosterpaw proved to be the better choice; their guard wasn't down, but they relaxed just enough to show they weren't going to instantly ditch. They just needed their bubble respected.

It was an understatement to say there was too many cats - it was Too Much Everything. In less than a moon their life was ripped upside down; their home destroyed and abandoned, and now..

They were here. For moons it'd just been Quill and them, and now the population had exploded. They couldn't even count all these cats!

Rooster huffed and looked away for a moment. They didn't really want to stick around all these cats, they were a little anxious about leaving camp - what if it was gone when they returned??? - but... quiet time did sound nice. Hunting, to be seen. "okay."

Cicadapaw padded over at Pineblossom’s call, offering her a respectful dip of his head in greeting. Amidst the chaos of the otter attacks and the abrupt shift in leadership, he had nearly forgotten about new piece of ThunderClan territory and the new honor it represented. But as Mudhound addressed the Clan, rekindling the memory for all of them, a fresh flicker of curiosity stirred in him. Thunderbird Cavern, he mused in his head. That seems like a cool enough name.

Turning back to his mentor - "I forgot to tell you earlier - but congratulations on becoming a Hornet, Pineblossom!" he meowed, warmth in his amber eyes. His mentor would be placing her pawprint in the cavern alongside his father and the others today, which he knew was a great accomplishment.

Pineblossom smiled warmly to her apprentice, her emerald gaze shining with appreciation. "Thanks kiddo," she mewed. This would be a big day. Really quite a big deal. She would be placing her pawprint beside the rest of the hornets and high ranks.

Hornetpaw's ear perked up, as Mudhound summoned the clan in a... Rather strange manner. Still, she crept over to their call. Was this really how ThunderClan's elite spoke? She couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, not understanding how such an important cat could talk so giddily and be so excited about flower crowns. Though, she supposed it was a little like Butterflybrook, wasn't it? She'd thought Butterflybrook would be one of the last in their litter to get a warrior name, considering her unserious seeming nature - and then she was the first. Hm. Maybe she couldn't judge a cat by their... Way of speaking? If only there was a good saying for that. A bird by its song? A herb by its colour? Eh, whatever. She grabbed a mouse from the kill pile (if Mudhound recommended snacks, Hornetpaw wouldn't be one to refuse) and joined the group.

❀˚₊ Mudhounds call came loud and clear and quite startled the brown and cream she cat awake from the nap he she had been taking in the sun. Sitting up and giving a fur a few quick licks, Deersneeze perked her ears in the direction of the hornets' voice and listened to what they were announcing- quite loudly and and excitedly for that matter. She supposed they were known to be a bit on the louder side so she didn't get annoyed that ehr sleep had been interrupted. For a moment there she had thought she had been woken up by– a sharp small smile worked its way onto her face as she immediately buried that thought along with everyone else she had buried in her mind. No time to dwell on the dead.

❀˚₊ from what Mudhound had said before darting off to go get things, there was new territory and they were all going on a small little outing! Oh and Mudhound had said they would teach them all how to make flower crowns, now that was something her sister would’ve loved! She adored flowers, she practically– oh come on!! What was with her today. Usually she was very good at not dwelling on those she lost? Maybe it was just because of all the things that had been happening recently. Yeah that's it. She'd just have to calm down and remember to live happily and not think about stuff that hurt.

❀˚₊ thankfully it seemed one of her clanmates had approached and was unintentionally distracting her from her thoughts. She turned to her clanmate, smallfrost, a smiled a polite small smile. “Oh yes dear, I do intend to go. Though I would refer to it as potentially chaotic but more so nice! Like a fun little break from all the problems we've had to deal with as of late! I assume you be going too?”

Chasmpaw was still shocked to see her mother's spirit. She remembered the clan meeting when it happened vividly. Nobody had checked up on her. Chasmpaw began to wonder if her clanmates really looked out for each other.

The younger cat joined the group and breathed heavily for a long time. She did not notice her heavy breathing. Chasmpaw blankly looked at Mudhound for several seconds before looking straight at Alpinemoon.
