Truth be told, Sunflowerfire had always dreaded coming to Gatherings, and all because of her heightened sense of smell.

But tonight, she was no longer an apprentice of ThunderClan. She was a warrior, a warrior with a name that Spiderstar had given her and she was proud to wear.

The massive golden-and-cream she-cat settled down near the edge of the clearing where the overwhelming mixed scents of the Clans didn’t affect her nearly as much. Sunflowerfire sat back on her haunches, wrapping her tail around her paws and giving her chest fluff a couple of licks to flatten it.

Massive paws made their way through the sand, lagging far behind the rest of the clan. Snowybreeze had noticed Lightningstorm's tardiness, and unable to help himself, he'd followed. Not because he thought she was up to something! Goodness, no. But because... well... His friend had been looking tired of late. He wanted to make sure that she could make it in time. Or simply make it, as it were. She was always running around taking care of everybody, but who took care of her? He wasn't sure anybody did. She never did seem very close to the others, and so he took it upon himself to make sure she did not get hurt on the way to the seastones. Quietly. And from a distance. He didn't wish to impose, after all.

Now that he was here, however, and the whirlwind of scents stormed about him loudly and without restraing, the gentle giant could feel a headache coming over him. Oh stars above... he knew there was a reason he never came to these gatherings. Not since his mate had passed away, in any case. Finding himself overwhelmed by the many cats in the area - tolerable by this point in his life, but not necessarily something he enjoyed or appreciated - the Maine Coon mix kept to the edge of the crowd, looking up to the seastones if only to make sure everyone was well and accounted for before laying down into a loaf like form, attempting to get as comfortable as possible while news were exchanged; looking forward to the trip back home.

Cypresspaw padded in beside her mother, large frame already just over half of Primroseadder's, despite being only 5 moons old. Brown and white tail swishing, the she-cat looked around with wide, icy blue eyes. Gatherings were big, much bigger than she had anticipated. And the other clans.. Also smelled much worse than she anticipated. Sticking close to her siblings and mother, the apprentice felt her fur bristle slightly. Though she was listening to Primroseadder, she really, really wanted to just race off and get a look at the other cats. It looked cool! And maybe Cypress could pick up some information.. she'd be able to protect her siblings better! It was always about that. Anyone laid a paw on her smaller kin, and she'd get them.

Never mind the fact she had no battle training.

Cypresspaw flicked her ear and turned her head slightly, rosetted pelt rippling. Her fur simmered with dark brown, brown, and white colours, highlighting her bright blue eyes. "Ma." She whispered not-so-quietly. "I didna think there'd be so many cats! And 'ow come I canna go sit with some others, and have ta stay with ya? I mean, I love ya bu' I wanna see some others. I won' let slip any info ta 'em, I promise!" She really, really wanted to go sit with some others. She had inherited the combined confidence of Primroseadder and Vervainshadow, and she used it. No fear at all. Even if there were a lot of cats here.
