A new moon, a new gathering. The first paw prints on the beach that night were those of a tremendous brown mackerel tabby. Barely healed wounds line her body from head to tail, a new set of pretty scars etched into her cheek, chest, and flank. Dawnstar strolls along the beach with her usual air of pride, head and tail raised high.

She was almost disappointed that she didn't see any of the other clans here yet. But at this point, she was aware that some cosmic force had the clans seemingly taking turns for these gatherings. She was always first, usually at this time of the moon. The leader quickly leaps up the stones, gritting her teeth as little jolts of pain come with each leap.

She sits in a light crouch, basking in the cool sensation of the rock below her huge paws, and turns to watch the rest of her clanmates arrive. The leader was looking forward to hearing from Bumblebrat and ThunderClan, they had missed the last gathering, and whatever news they brought should be at least mildly entertaining.
