ThunderClan Clearing

Elkkit toddled on baby legs to the center of the clearing. Mom wasn't here right now (at least not that he could see) and neither was Dad, so he was perfectly fine to sit in the middle of everybody's walkway and cause as much trouble as possible.

There was a wet stick near the tiny stream. To anyone else it would be perfectly obvious that it was a harmless inanimate object, but to Elkkit, who couldn't quite recall the incident in the nursery but knew snake-shaped things were dangerous, it was some scaly monster out to eat his face off. Elkkit planted himself in place, tipped his head up to the sky, and let out an ear-shattering WAIL. "SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!"

The yowling announcement of yet another snake had Redhawk sprinting from the warrior's den and into the clearing. Green eyes were wide as she darted over to Elkkit, the source of the wailing. "W-Where is it? The sss-snake???" she asked feverishly, looking around. Eventually though, her eyes found a wet stick that was near the stream that trickled through camp. Was that...?

Relief washed over her as she placed a paw over it, then looked at Elkkit. "Is t-this the ssss-snake you saw?" she asked, still trying to calm herself down and get her composure back. Where was this kit's mother??

A small, black furred apprentice lay curled up in the clearing, his tail over his eyes. It felt nice to rest like this. The chill of the wind added to it. Out of no where, an ear-shattering wail pierced his ears. Mushroompaw jumped up, fully awake, his fur bristling. 'Snake?! Not again!' He thought, bounding over to Elkkit, ready to help.

Fernwillow did NOT expect to hear the shriek of a small kit so suddenly, and found herself jumping a tail-length in the air in surprise when a shrill voice ripped through the clearing. Fernwillow whirled around from where she had been snoozing, catching sight of Elkkit staring in horror at a...


A stick? The young warrior blinked, the adrenaline that had shot through her now rapidly declining and leaving her a little woozy. She padded quickly over to the kit, shushing him with a light paw to his head. "It's a stick!" She meowed loudly, so others could hear. "It's just a stick!!" Where on EARTH were this kit's parents??

Parenting eight kids wasn't the most relaxing job she could have. And she had wanted a big family, of course, but this... she hadn't slept in two days. Dove was tired. She wouldn't trade it for the world, but waking up from a quick nap with her kits beside her and waking up with one missing was horrifying to say the least. So when she heard Elkkits howl from the clearing, the silver queen freed herself from her best and practically flew to the clearing, rushing to stand over her son, frantically nosing him and searching all over him for any injuries. Her bright blue eyes fixed on the snake her son had pointed out and if she wasnt frozen over him, she would be tearing the creature apart for causing her kit any stress or even just for disturbing him. And for disturbing her nap, too. "Are you okay, sweetness? Are you okay?" She whispered out, fixing a grateful smile on Redhawk before turning her attention back to her son, her heart still racing. She couldn't handle losing another child. Her body wouldn't be able to take it.

As she calmed herself, fixing a clearer stare on the... Snake she let out a soft, relieved sigh. That. Was a stick. Looking down at Elkkit, she waited for him to answer Redhawks query before totally relaxing her pounding heart.

~ Lioncrest ~

The golden tom was taking a brief moment for himself; loafed on one side of the camp to thoroughly groom out his longer fur before returning to his duties for the day. However, the short seconds of self-care that he had begun were quickly cut short as the wail of one of his young sons cut through the usual background noise of camp and made his blood run cold.

Launching to his feet, the large golden tom raced across the clearing towards the familiar bundle of fur that was planted stock still in the center of the clearing. Lioncrest acted on instinct; one large paw scooped up his son, tucking him close into his underbelly fur and the bulky warrior formed himself into a fluffed up, protective wall against the apparent threat... Where was the threat???

Amber eyes flicked to and fro, scanning the clearing with a fiery look that screamed a challenge to any foe he might encounter... But no goes were near. Carefully, ever so carefully, Lioncrest shuffled backwards until they were on the edge of the clearing before gently placing down his son.

"Where did you see the snake Elkkit," he rumbled, voice urgent as he continued scanning the area and shielding the child with his body. "Quickly now, use your paw to point."

If it was only a stick... Stars above, he'd need to give his kits a thorough lesson on predators.

Swiftheart looked shocked her ears pricked. She siddled away from the so called snake and looked at Moonheart, who had came up.
/Moonheart, Blacknight, Rainpaw, and CloudKit/
Moonheart stared at The kit. “S-snake.. where?!” She mewed fearfully.
Blacknight scoffed and rolled his eyes. “If there’s a snake I’ll take care of it” he hissed. Moonheart took a second but knew better then to question him now. She curled her tail around CloudKit and Rainpaw, rainpaw pushed her off. Rainpaw stared at the kiT and asked “where’s the snake..?” Fearfully, admitted she was scared but well if there was a snake she’d protect her brother no matter what. @Dino ~ Ellkit

Fleckpaw

Fleckpaw was laying in the clearing, her soft fur layed flat until she heard Eelkit yell 'SNAKE!'.
The young she, stood up very fast her ears up and tail fluffed out. "Snake! Where!," she said taking out her claws and ready to hit anything in her path.
She rushed towards Eelkit and the other cats ready to fight.

Skunkstrike had been eating a vole when the call of alarm and the word SNAKE was sounded, and the skunk striped warrior leaped to her paws and sucked in a sharp breath; That was a mistake. Skunkstrike began choking raggedly on a piece of her fresh-kill, staggering back before she finally hacked it back up with a small bit of bile.

By now the snake was found out to be in fact, a stick. A stick and a kit. Skunkstrike wanted to feel annoyed, but she could only mrrow in amusement at the kit's game before scooping some earth over her small bit of regurgitation.

Lightningpaw heard a loud commotion about a snake but she didn't rush on in. There was already so many cats in this area she didn't need to be trampled over. Then she saw the deadly snake was a stick. "Tch, kits." She muttered @dino.
