Eaglewing could've collapsed with relief when Berryshine requested her help again--anything to keep her thoughts from reeling right now--and quickly got to work pulling off soiled bandages. Her gaze shot up when Berryshine ripped a piece of thyme and popped it into her mouth, the warrior swallowing reflexively. Was it polite to ask for some? If she hadn't collected it herself, and she'd just be wasting it yeah no it was fine she'd just not have it for now. Eaglewing carried some of the moss to the little creek in the den and soaked them in water, taking a moment to lap some up so she wouldn't cough dryly near Sunheart. Bringing it back, she gave some to Berryshine and used the rest to clear the old poultice, dust and blood from the scrapes. Now clean, Eaglewing could see they weren't too deep, thankfully.
Once Berryshine was done finishing up securing the bandages, Eaglewing moved to the splint. She followed Berryshine's instructions and shifted what needed to be shifted in order for it to be more stable.
Once they were done, Eaglewing stepped back, her bones aching and her mouth on fire. She wanted a bath but knew that self-grooming was out of the question, so she had full plans on tossing herself into the river once she was let go. Mmm a swim did sound nice. But she might fall asleep and drown, now that she thought about it. Wouldn't that be funny. The warrior eyed Berryshine, clearing her dry throat wearily. "He'll be alright. Owlstar too, yeah? I know damn well StarClan isn't pulling this fox dung on us any more." She stared at the unconscious Deputy, then flicked her gaze to Owlstar in the corner. At least I hope not.
Starrypaw flinched fiercely at the sight of the scarlet color oozing from her left eyes. She withdrew quickly from the water source and hit the cave walls with her back, then collapsed on the cold floor and started crying.
She was so, so miserable.
"..."
She looked sadly at the medicine cat, but only after she'd finished asking her questions. She couldn't look into her eyes and not say anything, so instead, she stayed silent while Berryshine applied and held moss over her closed eye. It felt swollen, and it stung very much.
Starrypaw's mind was whirling, the thoughts of what had happened just before continuously rolling in front of her: the dark silhouette of the bigger feline, the claws that hit her, and her vision becoming red.
But, worst of all, her own claws sunken in another cat's flesh. They still held the color, and the blood on it had dried and now smelled.
She kept sobbing, even when Berryshine gently took her to a warm nest at the bottom of the cave, and stopped only a few minutes after she'd eaten the hard poppy seed.
She remembered from the last herb lesson that they were used to sleep and for its calming effects, and soon she realized they were really working.
She let Berryshine's soft voice lull her into sleep, and so she fell asleep in the same messy way she had collapsed onto the nest, her tail stretched out under one leg, her neck too so her chin rested directly on the dry plants.
The last thing she remembered were the brown feathers of the Harvester.
Fallenspirit's head hung low as Berryshine spoke her condolences. In the back of his head, he just wanted this to be over. The dreams could go away. His parents voices would stop haunting him. He could live in the present and stop poisoning himself with the venom of the past. He would warm up to cats again, he wouldn't be as blatant of a jerk for no clear reason.
Berryshine's voice broke through the mental fog he was scrambling through. Speak to it, she had said. Attempt to speak to the shadowed figure in his dream. Maybe a StarClan sent sign. The tom lifted his head, meeting Berryshine's gaze when the she-cat made her offer to help him.
I-I appreciate that," the tom stuttered. By all rights, it would be really helpful to have a medicine cat helping him decipher a possibly StarClan sent dream. He knew that much, but how many times more would he have to live that nightmare? How worse would the smells and the sights and the screams get? He didn't want to do this anymore than absolutely necessary.
"The next time I have a dream, I'll try to speak to the shadow figure," the tom mewed quietly. "I'll report to you anything that it says," he hummed. His large frame slowly stood, his icy eyes glinting in the darkness. "Thank you Berryshine," the tom mewed, dipping his head to the young she-cat.

Heightened perception: Smell
~~~
Spiderpaw sat quietly and listened, just another presence beside the warrior. Fallenspirit seemed to calm down again, which helped her to relax a little bit once more. She listened closely to Berryshine's words. It was a very alien topic to her, and part of her wanted to know so much more. She wanted to know any way to help her clanmates, and it had never before occurred much to her that that included way more than physical injuries and the occasional bad day.
Berryshine's suggestion was something she would've never thought of. Spiderpaw was pretty sure her first thought would've been to run away if she had been in Fallenspirit's position... As far as recommendations to help the dreams... or spirits...? Stop and go away... Her mind was pretty blank. If only she could just be support there in the dreams. Sure, the apprentice wasn't a lot on her own, but it seemed awfully scary a place to be on your own.
The apprentice stood along side Fallenspirit, assuming they were about to leave. It seemed that he was feeling the support he might've needed, which was nice. She wished that she had half the experience and comfort that Berryshine had. Spiderpaw was still reeling with the uncertainty of how to help. Looked like she needed to just keep checking on him. She didn't know how much that would help, but it seemed the right thing to do. She dipped her head to the medicine cat, a silent thanks for her help. She still wasn't sure what being present had really accomplished, but she had tried.
