SPIDERPAW
Riverclan Apprentice | 8 moons | Lanky, amber eyed, blue-grey tabby she-cat with white paws, chin, and tail tip.
Heightened perception: Smell

Crowpaw was right. Spiderpaw had always associated the idea of a burial ground with sadness, not beauty. She did like how Shadowedcall had put it, though. The best way to honor the dead...
Spiderpaw thought about it as she padded back, carrying the chervil and borage she had gathered in her maw. She was very careful with the borage flowers, despite what the warrior had said about them not being necessary. They were so pretty... She couldn't stand damaging them for no good reason. Besides... maybe Berryshine could use them in the future to show others what to look for when they were blooming. Maybe she could keep one... if Berryshine didn't need it...
As she padded into camp behind Shadowedcall, amber eyes found the medicine cat waiting for them to return. She hoped they hadn't kept her waiting too long, but the day was still early enough. Part of her was sad they had departed so soon. She wouldn't have minded staying out in Seagrass fields a little longer. It was so calm and beautiful there. Alas, she was not the one in charge of the patrol, though, and Shadowedcall had started padding back already. It felt like she had hardly spent any time there at all.
With a polite dip of her head, Spiderpaw placed the chervil and borage in front of Berryshine and looked up at the medicine cat. "Excuse me, Berryshine... What is Chervil used for?" Despite the beauty of Seagrass fields, she had not forgotten the question she had wanted to ask before the patrol had left. Maybe it would come in handy in the future... Or, maybe it was too complicated for her. Even if it wasn't something she could use in first aid... perhaps she would at least have an idea of what to look out for if crisis ever struck. The more she knew, the better she could serve the clan, after all.

Stagheart trailed behind Spiderpaw and Ravenglow, nodding. Nothing to report, nothing special — a good ol' border patrol. He waited a moment to see if Sunheart would want anything else before he'd excuse himself and go get some lunch.
( i couldn't remember if everybody needed to report with a border patrol, so putting this here in case xD feel free to ignore if not )

CrowPaw had trailed just behind the others on the way back, her jaws still clutching the herbs carefully between her teeth. The sweet-salt breeze of the Seagrass Fields lingered in her fur, and a piece of her almost didn’t want to leave. It felt safe there—quiet. Like she could breathe. But duty called. She entered camp a few tail-lengths after SpiderPaw and ShadowedCall, keeping her steps light and steady despite the slight ache in her paws from the damp. She spotted Berryshine right away, and CrowPaw promptly padded over to the growing pile of herbs the others had dropped.
Lowering her head, she set down her own bundles beside them. "Six chervil. Two borage," she said softly, then stepped back. She didn’t think she damaged them? Stars knew how she carried that much. Her ears twitched when SpiderPaw asked a question—and her interest sharpened visibly.
CrowPaw hesitated for just a heartbeat. Then she looked to BerryShine too. "I’d like to know, too," she added, voice quiet but certain. She loved her previous lesson…it intrigued her, Berrys remembering all that.

The large tom pushed his way through the entrance and into the camp, depositing his two fish on the fresh-kill pile before making a beeline to report to Sunheart.
"The patrol went well. Winterpaw caught a fish, I caught two, and Sunsetgleam caught two mice and a bird."
Winterpaw padded over behind the warrior. It dropped the fish where it was meant to go.

Purring as Ravenglow approached, the deputy gave her a friendly blink as she reported. "Good, I knew I could count on you." Sunheart mewed, gaze full of pride before he dismissed her and her patrol with a flick of his tail.
Racc blinked, looking toward Willowpool and his catch. His whiskers twitched as he struggled to find the right words to express how he felt in a kind manner. Had... he gotten the most prey out of all of his patrolmates? At least he didn't have to be insecure about that.
Right, okay, uh... right. Racc swallowed and flashed a shaky smile "Uh- Nice... nice catches you guys" He said, brows furrowed. The youngest warrior picked up his prey before nodding to his clanmates "You two ready to head back? Its gettin' pretty dark out here- I don't wanna end up getting stuck out here in the dark- It gets kinda spooky at night" Raccoonweb said with a quiet, but clearly nervous laugh. Six pieces total between three cats... that was... roughly an average of two pieces per cat. Stars... hopefully that was acceptable.
The silver pointed tom gave another nod as he began the journey back to camp. Silence fell over Racc as he proceeded, this thoughts began to wander... starting from their... kinda small haul, then slowly evolving into Crow, wondering when she'd become a warrior, then onto his siblings that would never get to be warriors.
His throat grew dry, and his chest tight, his entire demeanor changing. He took a deep breath, a soft sigh escaping his maw. Raccoonweb was relieved when camp slowly came into view. He picked up his pace, telling his patrolmates he'd report and that they should leave their prey on the pile and that they were 'dismissed'.
After that his gaze swept over the dark clan camp, trying to locate the spotted pelt of the Riverclan deputy. Finally after some searching he found him and approached. The pointed warrior flashed a tired smile
"Hey Sunheart, The patrol went pretty good! Together we caught like six pieces of prey or somethin'! Willow managed to catch a pretty big crab and Dusk got a decently fat bird" He said glancing toward the pile and his patrolmates before looking back at the deputy.
At Raccoonweb's patrol's haul, Sunheart's eyes lit up happily. Ah, the difference between greenleaf and leafbare. They would have no hungry bellies today. "Fantastic work, you all!" He replied, gesturing with a paw towards the fresh-kill pile. "Go on and eat, you deserve it."

demoted until May 20th ✦ RiverClan Warrior | 29 moons | Mind Reader ; Killer Aptitude T3 ; empty slot
She wasn't exactly sure what the rules were for a demoted warrior, she could head back by herself...right? Augh, all the contemplating made her realize she'll be late once again. This time she'll have to beg the stars to not get demoted for even longer. Seeing as Eaglewing and Lupinepaw hasn't been following, the silver cat made her way back to Sunheart.
"Hey there, apologies again for last time. Really, I mean it." Floodpaw spoke softly, shaking her head in disappointment. There's no excuse for tardiness, but then again...
"ShadowClan border's been quiet. Not much is up, but it is getting quite muddy up there."
A slight frown etched on his face as Floodpaw approached, Sunheart listened as she spoke. Quickly, he broke into a small smile. "I believe you, Floodsight." The deputy said with a nod before turning to Eaglewing with a warm blink. "Good work leading your first patrol. I hope it was informative." He said before casting an amused glance at Lupinepaw.
"Is her job to clean you like a kit still in the nursery?" He teased light-heartedly, flinching backwards a bit as the mud the apprentice was flailing around splattered everywhere. "We'll go wash you off in the river. We can squeeze a swimming lesson in if you haven't already." He offered.
The large tom pushed his way through the entrance and into the camp, depositing his two fish on the fresh-kill pile before making a beeline to report to Sunheart.
"The patrol went well. Winterpaw caught a fish, I caught two, and Sunsetgleam caught two mice and a bird."
Nodding approvingly at the haul that was brought back, Sunheart purred at Talonhive. "Good work, everyone. RiverClan will eat well today." He said before dismissing them with a twitch of his ear.
That only left one patrol...where was Owlstar? The deputy fought the urge to pace anxiously near the camp entrance. He knew the dangers of a ThunderClan border patrol right now, all considering the otters...but they shouldn't be on their side of the border. That was his reasoning for having Owlstar lead...had something happened?
Ear flattening slightly, the tom took a seat near the camp entrance, anxiously eyeing it for any sign of movement.
( discussed with Mari, since TC patrol encountered otters, Owl will report for it later to fit the timeline o7 )
