Whaaaat, no, it should ABSOLUTELY be Frigidclan!! And don't even think about Mama's baths, NOO FRIGID WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYMORE BATHS!!! HE IS PERFECTLY CLEAN HE SWEARS- oh wait looklooklooklook, escapee time! Wait no, don't look. Nothing to see here, just some kits that are ALREADY CLEAN.
“C’mooooon!!!!” Wiggling through the small hole (hehe, seems like the big adult cats have never patched it up before!) Following suit after Frigid-sib, he found himself looking around at the place they were at. So....SO THIS WAS WHAT PAPA SEES EVERYDAY???!! There’s- there's plants and plants and bigger rocks and MORE wet water!!! he’s only ever seen the tiiiiiiny stream in camp!!! But that tiny stream's BORING!!!! Frigidkit wants to go out everyday tooo like Papa!!!! But once they make this big big clan they're gonna be able to go out everyday because they are the cool leaders and deputies and meddies and stuff, so they're in charge!!! They should do this more often “So papa sees stuff like this everyday!!!” OOOOOO FRIGIDCLAN HERE THEY COME!!!!!! FRIGIDCLANFRIGIDCLANFRIGIDCLAN!!!! FRIGIDCLAN’S GONNA BE THE BEST CLAN IN THE FOREST, because ALLLLL the best cats will be there, including mama and papa and Frigidkit and Ms Owls and manymany cool cats
“C’mon c’monc’monc’monc’mon, Where do we go first, where do we go first?????? Frigid can't wait! Oo, maybe left? Or- or right??? Or forward? Riverclan is suuuuuper duper big!! Frigidkit wants to go everywhere!” OR OR OR maybe they spin around and stop at a random direction!!! Oh right, he needed to turn down his volume. He makes no promises, though; he’s already having some trouble keeping his paws still. Y’know how hard it was to hold back against just sprinting in a random direction right now and taking in what Riverclan had??? This makes camp seem TINY and the nursery even TINIER! How did Frigid manage to stay in camp for all his two moons of life without a single thought of sneaking out until today?????
Seapaw had managed to get the move right the second time, so Heroneye saw it fit to move on to the text battle move. He seemed to be gaining more confidence, though the Lionheart couldn't yet shake the feeling that he was holding back in some way. If she was right, then she would be proven right soon enough, she guessed.
"Yes, that's better; you were able to apply more force while still maintaining good form," she summarized, a bit superfluously. "We'll try another move now: the leap-and-hold." This one had a bit of a learning curve to it, but it was the best way foreward, from Heroneye's experience. Challenging but not ridiculous, to put it simply.
"This move is helpful when going against a larger enemy. It's exactly what it sounds like: one leaps onto the back of one's enemy and holds on while biting and clawing, she explained. Now for the more interesting part. "First of all, I would like you to try the first part of that move, and on a real cat. Simply see if you can leap onto my back in that way," she explained, reflexively slipping into a defensive crouch.
"I won't move this time; I only want you to get used to attacking a concrete target for now. You may begin whenever you're ready."
Ah, thank goodness. They'd managed one attack, and that was a start. Onto the next. Leap and hold - it sounded a bit scary, at first, but as Heroneye explained it, it became less overwhelming. All they had to do, was leap on her back, no hitting, no clawing. Though Seapaw was growing to be a bit leggy, they still sat around average height, so they reckoned this move could work well for them! Especially against some of those crazy bulky cats they'd seen at gatherings.
Heroneye was already in a defensive crouch, so it shouldn't be too hard to jump up. So, he bundled his legs up to jump, as if he were lepaing after prey, then propelled himself toward her, in aims of landing straight on her back.

The other kits' enthusiasm was overwhelming. She suddenly didn't think it was a good idea. But she didn't want to tattle on them. They'd hate her forever and she'd feel bad! Forever! Faithkit blindly stumbled around, trying to find the others' scents among the overpowering scent of the territory.
"Wh-wher-where are... Where- are w-w-we..?" She whispered, eyes worried. "I-I-I do-don't th-think it's ...a..a- g-good id-idea it- I-" Stars, what would she even do if something happened?

Talonhive flicked his ears at Winterpaw's response, nodding once. "Alright. I'll try my luck fishing by diving, then. You're welcome to either hunt on the land, or fish from the bank and try to pick off any I scare up from the bottom while I'm diving," he said, waiting a moment to hear Winterpaw's decision before he made his way to the river, gracefully slipping into the water despite his large stature.

Skywalker grinned at Owlstar's quip, dripping onto the bank like a soggy rat. "What, that? You've never run full speed through the forest before?" Skywalker crouched low over the edge of the water, lowering his voice so not to scare the fish away. Again. He merely chortled when Owlstar mentioned it herself. "Please, these fish are about a dumb as rocks. Just shinier."
Skywalker rose, padding a few lengths down the shore and padding into the shallows. There he stood, stone still, until the fish couldn't tell him apart from the rocks. His leafy green eyes flicked back and forth, catching the water's reflection. A silver dart flickered past him, and he slammed his front paws together, trapping the fish in his grasp. He whooped and reared up, bringing the fish to his mouth so he could chomp on its head, killing it. Splashing back down, Skywalker looked to Owlstar with a trout clamped in his mouth. He tried to smile around it, only to drop the fish which began floating away. He yelped and chased after it, dragging it back by the tail and tossing it up onto the bank. He followed, shaking out his paws again. His coat had started to dry a little, warmed by the Newleaf sun.
"So uh, come here often?" He asked. "I mean I don't mind sharing this section of the river with you." Yeah like you owned it, stoopid.

"My pulse is clear, rushing through my ears."
Owlstar pursed her lips at his comment before shrugging. "Eh, when ya 'ave a clan ta look after, ya don't really 'ave time ta frolic." she pointed out, wriggling her haunches slightly as she squinted from the sun bouncing off water. She couldn't help but send him another look as he spoke once more. "Uh-huh." She mewed, not offering a counter to her reply. Her eyes hadn't left him after that, watching as he rather humorously caught of fish but let it swim off without him.
Owlstar would've cackled if she wasn't so close to prey, her expression twisting to hold in her laughter. Instead, they came out in abrupt giggles, shoulders bobbing. He looked absolutely ridiculous, scrambling up and down the bank like that. She got the feeling he had too much ego for his own good, but he was so miserably bad at being "cool" that his massive ego didn't even matter. What an odd cat.
"Ah, pretty good catch, chap! 'Part from the fact ya dropped it." What? He was easy to tease, no shame in that. And she was being somewhat truthful anyways, he wasn't bad at hunting, not by any means, but if he wasn't so busy smiling he probably wouldn't have dropped it in the first place. "Ya oughta improve yer focus las, cain't 'ave ya on another river when things get tight." Maybe it was second nature, but Owlstar managed to weave the topic of battle into any conversation she could. Her mind was lazer focused on it, wondering when some huge tide would come to sweep her clan into the deep end.
She couldn't have that, not again. Stars, they were all counting on her. She had everything to loose. She wouldn't allow herself the privilege of a normal conversation without finding someway to reinforce her push for clan security. It was second nature.
'Probably just what bein' leader feels like. It's my job ta worry, ain't it? Owlstar thought, only then noticing her expression had grown sour as she looked to the river. The tabby flinched before blinking. She smiled toothily and cleared her throat. What was he talking about?
"Ha! Yer river, eh? Why don't cha take my clan too, hm?" she swatted some water at him. Finally, she got out of her crouch and straightened into a sit. "Eh, I come out 'ere as often as time let's me. I hate bein' stuck, eh? Needed ta get out 'ere n' do somethin'. What 'bout ya?" her eye turned towards him, ears swerving to better catch his words. "Bolt through trees often?"

[**THIS POST TAKES PLACE AFTER PRIMROSEADDER’S KITS HAVE BEEN APPRENTICED**]
Primroseadder was relieved to finally being able to leave camp now that her kits were apprentices. This meant that she could stretch her legs freely—and not in the stuffy confines of RiverClan’s camp, where most of her Clanmates were spending their time.
She had decided to stick strictly to land prey today. She didn’t know why, all she knew is that she wanted to stay on land rather than launch herself into the river. The warrior parted her jaws slightly to taste the air, satisfaction jolting through her when the scent of water vole rolled along her tongue.
Primroseadder pinpointed her quarry rather quickly, darting into the shadows to avoid being detected by her prey. Dropping into the hunter’s crouch, the RiverClanner stalked forward slowly—pawstep by quiet pawstep—before springing, emerging from the undergrowth and landing square on the water vole. Primroseadder pinned it down to the ground with her white-tipped forepaw, bending her head to give it a swift, clean bite to its spine.

Heroneye flinched a bit under the weight of the apprentice, but was able to stay on her paws. She gently shook the apprentice off and turned to face him in the second part of this leap-and-hold section. Seapaw had managed to hit a stationary target and seemed to only continue to become more comfortable, but that wouldn't be enough for a real battle, of course. Heroneye wanted him to know how to attack a moving opponent before she moved on to the final, more complicated move.
"Well done," Heroneye said with a flick of her tail. "Next, I want you to try to leap onto me again, but this time, I will be trying to defend against your attack--just as a warrior in a real battle would." Once again she slipped into her battle crouch. "See if you can hit me like that."
She paused thoughtfully before adding an adendum to her assignment. "While I would like you to practice the leap-and-hold in particular, in a real battle, one has to be flexible; if you sense that you wouldn't be able to complete that move, or you have an idea that you think might be more effective, feel free to try a different approach." After all, while Heroneye knew she had a more structured approach to teaching combat than other warriors, her ultimate goal was to teach Seapaw skills they could bring with them on a real battlefield. If this exercise could help with that in one way or another, Heroneye had no complaints.
Winterpaw waited, watching for something good. Then it saw it: a fish. Big one. It lauched at it, grabbing it. Not perfectly, but good enough. It pulled it out. "I... got something." it meowed to Talonhive.

Woooo! They did it! It was actually quite a thrill, leaping onto the warrior's back. Though, they went sliding down with ease when shaken off. If only this was all battles were - just harmlessly jumping on each other's back. Life would be a lot nicer, if that were the case. And this whole ordeal would be a whole lot less nerve wracking.
This time, Heroneye would defend herself this time. Okay, okay... This would be okay. It wasn't a real battle, and Heroneye wouldn't hurt them - they just needed to dodge and stuff. Then, Heroneye added a bit. So, the lap and hold wouldn't always be the perfect choice. He had to be flexible. He considered himself a pretty flexible cat in most situations, but in battle? That sounded kinda scary. The idea of never knowing what would happen next seemed like a lot. It was how Spiderpaw had told him - there's a lot more to this than just moves.
They nodded at Heroneye, to show they were ready, then bunched their legs up, ready to pounce. He sprung forward a little, to get closer, then lept, in attempts to jump onto Heroneye's back once again. No doubt she'd dodge, or fling him out of the way, but he supposed he needed to kick things off somehow.
The apprentice nodded. He'd been feeling a lot better lately. "Yea, I'm good. Happy to be on a herb patrol." A calm smile spread across their face. It was, true, they were happy - herb patrols were always a good time, especially their last one with Eaglewing and Rainwish. He did often manage to get called onto these, didn't he? He liked to hope it was 'cus he always brought his herbs back on time, but who knows. No more thinking, though, Adderstike was here. "Hiya," he greeted her, then followed her out into territory.
Beaverpaw was quick to go searching, he'd forgotten how quiet his denmate could be. Not that it bothered them, quiet friends were always nice. Even more so, considering all the time Seapaw themself spent daydreaming away. Adderstrike gave a brief explanation about being mindful, which spooked them a little bit. They didn't often think too much about being careful in the territory. Definitely around the border, but on their own land?! Trouble could be anywhere, couldn't it?
They nodded, though, and went on their own little herb hunt. Berryshine had suggested using sticks to collect cobwebs, which was smart. So, they looked around till they found one of those first. A small willow sat beside the river, so they ducked under it's dangling branches, and grabbed a couple sticks from just below it. Now, they just needed to find some cobwebs! He went to duck back through and - "EEEK!" Perhaps Adderstrike's warning had put him on edge, or maybe it would've surprised him just as much without her words. Entangled in the branches ahead of his face, was a giant spiderweb, hosting an equally giant spider. Well, it depends how you class giant. It was actually very skinny, not very dangerous looking. But it's legs were soo long, and it was right in front of his face. "Oh, erm, i'm okay! Just a spider!" They called, realising that their sudden reaction was probably a bit... Startling.
A sigh of relief left him. "Ohhh kay, Mr Spider, I err, I just need you to move a little bit." He stared at it blankly. Of course, it had no idea what he was saying. "Sorry in advance..." He muttered, before blowing air at the spider. But - oh dear, it held its own quite easily, clinging onto it's web despite the wind. Another sigh. "Sorry little guy." They batted around it with a paw, making it scurry away quickly. They didn't want to scare the little creature! But it was the only choice, wasn't it? They picked up one of their twigs from the ground, and collected it using the stick. "Erm, sorry little spider, thank you for your home!" he whispered, grabbing his other stick as he escaped the dangling tendrils of the willow. Just as luck would have it, there was another spider web on the outside of the branches, this one without an inhabitant. So, he collected it up.
[+ 2 cobwebs/ cobweb sticks]
Next, juniper berries. They knew they were after dark green bushes. Couldn't be too far. They travelled away from the river, toward the patrol, keeping an eye out for anything that matched that description. He saw one dark green bush - but, ah no berries, mustn't be the one. So he carried on, till - aha! They sprinted up to it. A dark green bush, with purple-bluey berries. The apprentice plucked three - as many as he could carry. "Beaverpaw!" They called out excitedly, "do you need any juniper berries?

"Hi, Seapaw." Beaverpaw said quietly "I'm.. good, you?"
Before he knew it, Adderstrike was here.
He also greeted her with a small "Hi."
And soon, they had left.
Adderstrike had told them to be mindful of their surroundings, and then it was time to start looking.
Beaverpaw looked around first, before he started moving a bit.
Cobwebs are easier to recognize, and Berryshine had at least shown them the juniper berries, so this shouldn't be... too hard.
[Roll=19]
He finds a few cobwebs easily, and sticks nearby.
So, he collected what he found so far.

Err, ok maybe Adderstrike had been stretching herself a little too thin lately. Once she was done she sat down and started to think a little bit then a bunch of time slipped past her claws. She jolted herself up with a deeply embarrassed look on her face. Did she just zone out? Maybe she should go to the medicine den, why else would she randomly be doing this now? "Alright, let's get out of here!~" Adderstrike purred aloud to deflect how she was actually feeling before she began to lead the two apprentice's back to camp. Perhaps she could go to the med den anyways, Berryshine probably needed someone to talk to that wasn't there for herbs.
