「ThunderClan Clearing」
DandelionPaw licked her paw for what seemed like the one hundredth time before rubbing it across her ears, she vaguely remembered that she was supposed to wait for training from Burnedbark but she couldn't help but hope he was too busy, she had this particularly stuck up fur just between her ears and she almost got it. ugh at least I don't have to deal with those dreadful burrs, seems like I always get a few when I walk out of camp
The tragic fate of having such a pretty pelt she thought smugly to herself.
Another day, another -paw to train. But this time, it was his own apprentice. It was still weird to him, even though he'd been a warrior for a few moons now. Training other cats who not that long ago he shared a name with was...an odd feeling. Not bad, just weird. Burnedbark trotted up to Dandelionpaw, clearing his throat as he did so to subtly grab her attention. She seemed...occupied. He didn't want to startle her. "Dandelionpaw," he mewed with a nod, "ready?" His usual stoic, even tone was ever present. His expression a reflection of his voice. There was nothing mean about it, just...clear.
{ @Wolfpawz - Dandelionpaw - sorry for the delay! }
DandelionPaw paused mid lick, sighing inwardly before flicking her eyes up towards Burnedbark. ahh so this is he, well they did say he was young for a mentor... can't believe i have to be trained by someone almost as young as me, why can't I just stay in the camp.
She sighed and gave Burnedbark another look over, she sighed again dramatically before getting up slowly and giving herself a shake and a flick of her fluffy bob tail. "hmph, took you long enough didn't it? I thought mentors were supposed to be early and... well"
She trailed off with a smug look, licking her chest fur.
Just because he was her mentor doesn't mean she was going to let him boss her around, only her ma had that privilege.
If Dandelionpaw was attempting to insult him, it went over his head. Burnedbark only flicked an ear, his expression unchanging. He had apparently kept her waiting, that was factual. "Apologies for that wait." He mewed coolly, giving a small nod. "Are you prepared?" He repeated the question, since she hadn't really giving him a clear answer before. That said, since she stood up he assumed that meant she'd eaten and was ready to head out.
"If you're ready to go, follow me." He mewed, turning and waving his tail for her to follow. Burnedbark didn't look over his shoulder to ensure she was following, he assumed she would. It was her training after all, her following him would be to her benefit. He certainly wasn't doing this for himself. He'd lead her to the battle training hollow, the well-worn ground making an excellent cushion for this type of training. He would then turn to (hopefully) face her. Tail-tip flicking thoughtfully.
{ @Wolfpawz - Dandelionpaw - just going down the list, but if we agreed to start somewhere else or you want to start with something else let me know! }

DandelionPaw huffed as the warrior turned away, great her mentor was young and oblivious just great, guess a change of tactic for mousebrains is in order first.
She followed him through the clearing, grabbing a mouse as she passed the fresh kill pile, a wonderful snack for later, or well late morning meal she was too busy trying to get that annoying fur between her ears to eat.
She followed until they reached the edge of the training grounds, she had seen the other mentors and apprentice's train here before, it was rather.. dusty now.
She frowned stopping at the edge before giving Burnedbark a look. "do we have to train Here? I would rather not dirty my coat i just cleaned it and it would be a waste to have to clean it again"
Her ears flattened in annoyance, it would take forever to clean up the dust and she had promised to watch kits this nightfall.
Leave it to a warrior who obviously cared little for their appearance to choose the dirtiest place to train.
( @Luna16 ) the only thing DandelionPaw cares about smh and battle training is fine! Just be warned once DandelionPaw gets going she gets pretty aggressive fight wise)
