It was sunny today. Seapaw yawned a big yawn, before stretching out on a nice flat rock. It was a little hot on their pawpads, but nothing extreme: all bearable. They figured they should make some plans for the day. What, they weren’t sure. There’s not much to do as an apprentice, though. Always his excuse. He stretch his legs out in front of him, gazing at his own cinnamon paws. Where did that gene even come from? Mama was kind of black and orange. Mander was the same. It must be something to do with his other parent, whoever they were. They didn't often think too hard about this. Tinytoad had been mama enough. It took him seeing other cats, with two or more parents, to understand that they couldn't be born with by one alone. They sighed, blowing their tufted fur from their eyes. Hm.
The clearing looked... Average, today. Cats hanging about, chatting, sharing tongues. No one he knew all that well. But, then, oh! Look who it was! His head shot up, eyes twinkling. He had an idea! The apprentice trotted on over to Rainwish, with a big smile. "'Morning!" He chirped, "you fancy going for a swim?" It'd do him well to get a bit of training in, but more than that, he wanted to hang out with his friend!
Rain looked up with a flick of one of her white ears when she heard familiar pawsteps, beaming at the sight of Seapaw. She purred in greeting, rising to her paws to touch noses with him. "Oooo yes!" She chirped happily. "A nice swim sounds delightful!" She shook out her thick coat fur before turning, she had been doing a bit of sun-bathing, and a nice swim in the cool water sounded like an excellent idea. "Any place in mind?" She asked as she led them out of the camp and into the territory. Not like RiverClan had any shortages of places to swim of course.

Ah, yay! They were glad Rainwish was happy to come along. Not that they'd doubted it much, but it would've been a pity if she was busy, what with warrior duties and all that! It must be nice, having the freedom to explore the territory and learn new things on your own time. He smiled as they touched noses - where to go, where to go... "There's a nice stretch of river, just before the WindClan border," they tilted their head, vaguely remembering it from a hunting patrol. It was a short walk away from the border, where the rivers were much more dangerous. Far nicer, and far calmer. Golly, it was nice to be outside of camp again, especially for a swim. The last couple time they'd been out, they'd barely been in the water. They got to go in a pond for that water combat session, but they weren't really swimming at all. "If you'd like to go there?" He asked, wondering if Rainwish had any other ideas.
