Eaglewing stretched languidly, the Newleaf sun warming her ginger pelt. Ugh, it felt so nice now that the snow had melted and the sun had returned full force. Perhaps it was the warmth, or perhaps it was her new warrior name, but Eaglewing felt better than she had in moons. In fact, as she looked out over camp, Eaglewing got an idea.

The large warrior trotted over to the camp entrance, her green eyes a little nervous as she watched her clanmates mingle too and fro. Oh, maybe this wasn't a good idea. Eaglewing didn't much like speaking in front of crowds, and what if no one joined? Swallowing past her worries, Eaglewing took a deep breath.

"RiverClan warriors and apprentices!" Eaglewing shrank back as everyone looked at her, but she pushed through. "Now that the river has thawed a bit, I say it's time we get back to our roots as RiverClan and we start fishing!" The longer she talked, the more her voice gained momentum. "All experience levels are welcome, but if you don't know how to fish, make sure you come talk to me! I'll be doing a lesson once we get to the river." Excitement sparkled in her emerald eyes, all earlier nerves forgotten.

[I'll be posting Eaglewing leaving camp on 4/9! I'll explain in more detail what the event will entail then, but this will mostly be a social event where cats can gather and fish and hang out! Eaglewing will also be doing a fishing lesson for anyone who has not learned yet, so get your apprentices in!!]

Asterfly

A pair of neat silver ears twitched and angled towards the entrance at the call to action, and Asterfly tilted her head a bit. Neither "apprentice" nor "warrior" could be used to describe her as of now, but her legs were getting stiff from being in the nursery for so long, and it wasn't like she had forgotten how to fish.

Asterfly stretched and shook herself before padding over to Eaglewing where others were also gathering. "Hi dear, you dont mind if I come along, do you?"

Spiderpaw

Riverclan apprentice - 6 moons - Lanky, amber eyed, blue-grey tabby she-cat with white paws, chin, and tail tip.

Spiderpaw basked in the sun beside the little stream in the clearing, watching the occasional leaf or blade of grass pass slowly through the camp. She wanted to do something, but knew she couldn't leave camp without a warrior. Maybe she would go talk to papa again about going to hunt again. Her muzzle still stung from that crab's pincers, though... She hoped it wouldn't scar.

Then, the call came. The blue apprentice's ears perked as she listened.

She was on her paws within a heartbeat, quickly making sure she wouldn't miss this opportunity! She went right up to Eaglewing, almost forgetting to think of what she needed to say. She froze for a moment, feeling dumb. Oh, great, now she looked dumb, staring awkwardly at the warrior. "I'll go... I'd like to learn how to fish..." She finally mewed.

SunflowerFlare padded up hesitantly before approaching the young warrior. “I’d like t’ go…dunno how though.” she huffed, avoiding eye contact and seemingly seemed irritated for…who knows why. And WHY THE HELL WAS HER EYE WATERING? Ugh…it had been all day. She must’ve gotten something in her eye. How inconvenient for it being her only one.

A fishing event? Perfect - now he could test out everything Wormbite had taught hi - they needed to make sure their skills were top notch, so they'd be ready for their assessment when it came around. Couldn't be long now. Seapaw made his way to the group, and waited patiently.

Irisfrost

New-leaf was always a welcome time. Irisfrost sat in a patch of sunlight, absent-mindedly grooming herself as she felt the warm rays of light on her face and paws. It still wasn't hot by any means, but it wasn't cold anymore, especially with her thick pelt. Soon it would become thinner again, but for now she still had her leaf-bare coat.

She lifted her head as a voice rang through camp. It was Eaglewing, one of the cats who had been made a warrior at the last meeting. She was hosting a fishing event. That was a good idea; not only would it boost the clan prey storages, it would also help apprentices with their training. And be a fun social event at the same time, for cats who liked that sort of thing. With one last lick to flatten her fur, Irisfrost rose to her paws and padded over to the she-cat.
