It'd been a while since he visited the white queen.
It'd been even longer since he'd taken her out of the camp.

"Nightshiver," Hawkbite spoke, his chest heating up with each moment as he awaited a response at the entrance of the nursery. There was something else he needed to do. Something that'd been burning at his soul since he finally accepted it. "I wanted to see if you'll come on a walk with me. It's been nice out and the flowers have been blooming," Hawkbite spoke, trying to hide the intention behind his voice.

Her head lifted when she heard the familiar voice, a smile already plastered on her face before she could even register who was here. Nightshiver cast a last glance over the nursery, ensuring everyone was okay before she allowed herself to step outside and greet the tom with a gentle purr.
"Hawk..hawbite..! I-I would.. would be... happy.. to."
A walk... It had been some time since she last went out on a walk. But everything had been peaceful lately, and still being so happy from watching her children graduate, there was little room for anxiety in her mind right now. Or at least, not any more than she wanted to allow herself. She needed a moment to breathe, and a walk with Hawkbite was perfect for that.

Hawkbite smiled softly when Nightshiver agreed to come with him. He'd wait for her to be ready then lead them out into the territory, taking a nice route. It was away from the typical patrol routes, so a less run down trail of flowers and undergrowth for them. "How's the nursery been? It seems much emptier lately," it was likely due to the fact the Dawnspawn weren't running rampant. The kits present seemed a lot less chaotic than the lot who were apprentices now.

"There's... also something I've been meaning to chat with you about," he spoke after some more time passed. It'd been lingering on his mind since their children graduated to warriors. His tail would swish behind him as they walked, occasionally flicking her tail in an affectionate manner. Mistlewhisker had done well with teaching him to speak the things on his mind again, especially things like the topic today. He wasn't sure if there was a good time for it, but if he didn't get it out, he might not ever be able to.
