*+:｡.｡ should she be out the nursery o r the elders den? no. but she doesn't not care, she's board and wants to watch some fighting! she drags herself out and settles a little ways away but close enough to listen to the apprentice speak n such "well i'll be, I knew I wasn't smellin outsider scent for nothin...ugh..dawnstar needs ta stop lettin in these weirdos" she grumbled halfly to herself, her eyes scanned the group of cats, she had great respect for rookfire, the enforcer, best choice this clan has ever made...if only her back legs w o r k e d, then she would be showing these very apprentice how real battles worked. she kept on looking and making snarky remarks on cats that made her wish shadowclan was more cold as they were meant to be....at least their leader wasn't soft and kind like most of the leaders back in the day. oh she would love telling stories of the fierce leaders of the past, the one and only shadowclan leader to rage war with those Kittypet soft clans. if only her legs worked...she would be up and about and the oldest warrior here. ｡.｡:+*

Yay!!! It seemed like he was understood, or this cat was being very polite. Weepingpaw did his cute little stomp dance in excitement while looking at the older tom with a broad grin. Deerclaw? Oh, so not Aldeerclaw.
"Your name, remember I will try, but promise not, I won't." The apprentice had already filed the cat's name under Aldeerclaw. Mistakes will be made.
"Meet you, nice it is," He added after a second of recalling his manners. The dark tabby's paws had stopped dancing in place and then started again when he learned why the cat smelled weird.
"New are you? Outside you come from? Share stories, you will?" He asked, hoping he was right. He's never met a cat from outside the clans before. He had so many questions to ask. If he came from the outlands, that means Momster must have brought him in. So he was safe to pester than, right? "Help teach you, I will. Know much clans' stuff, I do." @sylvia26

Mama stories!!! Those sounded great. He wondered if outsider moms were the same as clan moms. Did they try to eat the kitten they didn't like? Or did they toss them away to live on their own or die? Weepingpaw assumed life without a clan to back you up would be hard to live.

rookfire approached, already overwhelmed at the first glance of the cats that had gathered. he knew far too many of them personally, not to speak of deerclaw who had somehow managed to shoot to the top of rookfires 'disliked' list within less than a moon.
instead of focussing on the old man for too long, the enforcer looked at basspaw and briefly spent his time feeling guilty about the apprentices lack of training. he didnt know how it happened but his roleplayer is suddenly feeling very overwhelmed by the amount of open posts.
it appeared newtbelly was trying to be better, he'd been seeing him around more as of recent. decent enough for a cat that somehow evaded being challenged so far. perhaps he could improve before his luck ran out. rook stepped up before newtbelly in order to speak to tigernight himself.
He gave Rookfire a polite nod, but realisation soon struck him. If Tigernight decided he didn't want the two of them helping out, he'd more than likely end up paired with Rookfire. Oh no. He was about to get his butt kicked, wasn't he? At least it wasn't in the context of a challenge. It'd be good practice, if not a little embarrassing.
One other warrior had arrived, though. Hopefully they'd get grouped with him, if it came to it? Maybe he'd be spared? He looked to Tigernight, wondering what his plan was.
Coldpaw was beginning to get impatient. Cats weren't really gathering at this point and Tigernight was doing nothing. "Are we actually going to start this, or are you just going to stand there and catch flies?" At this rate he could get a better session from a stick!

He let out a huff upon seeing a kit come over. Had he called kits? No. He hadn’t. And why the hell did it seem that no cat cared for the order of everyone get a single partner. Were these cats deaf or just idiots? “Sorry kid, we’re leaving camp. You have t’ stay here. Maybe when we get back I can give you a basic lesson though.” he offered, not hating the idea. Mama cared for these kits, so he should too?
His gaze then flicked to the enforcer who joined and nodded gratefully. “Will do, thank you for joining.” he replied. NewtBelly was a cat he enjoyed, mostly for the help the tom had offered with TigerNights training. RookFire soon joined too and TigerNight acknowledged him with a flick of his tail.
And- why the hell was one of DawnStars kids the only one to follow orders?
TigerNight’s ear twitched. He turned his head slowly, cool blue eyes locking on ColdPaw. For a moment, he didn’t say anything — just stared the apprentice down with a faint flick of his tail. Then he padded forward with a measured pace, voice low but sharp. “Oh, we’re starting alright. I was giving the slowpokes a chance to catch up, but apparently most cats, mentally, haven’t caught up with the fact you find your own damn partner.” his voice raised as he said that, hoping the cats would take a hint. And ColdPaw, who seemingly failed that task as well.
With a sharp lash of his tail, Tigernight turned toward the camp entrance. “Follow me,” he huffed tot he gathered cats. He didn’t bother glancing back to see if they were following. They would, or they’d hear about it later.
The trek through the territory was brisk, his pace unpausing. He chose a flat patch of open ground near the trees, where pawsteps wouldn’t slip and brambles wouldn’t tangle. As soon as the last apprentice caught up, TigerNight spun around to face them with that same restless energy in his muscles.
“Right. We’re starting from the beginning, since half of you look like you don’t know which paw to lead with.” He began to pace in front of the gathered cats, claws flexing slightly with each step.
“Basic stance first. Claws sheathed. Shoulders loose. Center your weight. You move like you’re going to fall on your face, you will.” He demonstrated, dropping into a low, balanced crouch — legs spaced evenly, tail stiff behind him for balance. “Every decent fighter starts here. Whether you're brawling a rogue or fending off a snake, it all starts with your stance.”
He stood and started walking through the group, eyes sharp. “If I tap you, adjust your weight or your posture.”
Then, lifting his head again, he barked: “Now face your partner. Mirror their stance. Watch their paws. We’re going to cycle through basic hits and dodges next … because the first rule of battle is don’t get hit.”
He backed up to give them room, tail flicking. “NewtBelly, RookFire—feel free to help correct form.”

▁ ▂ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇ █his ears perked when hearing the warriors voice. ah they were leaving camp? that was a change he would enjoy. he turned to nudge weepingpaw "I'm assuming we're partners, that is certainly in our favor yes?" he meowed as he began to follow the warrior out, he lifted his head to take on the territory scent and he absolutely relished in it "smells like my old home" he murmured as he closed his eyes for a moment, he then opened them to focus on the steps to this training session. ah a fighting stance. Deerclaw let his body drop low, he didn't understand how to completely copy the stance so he tried his best. his tail helped him balance as he kept his claws sheathed. his shoulders were relaxed but he almost looked like he would glide forward, his head went low too, his hindpaws flat against the ground firmly as if he would leap...oh was this even right? the urge to scratch was killing him...damn fleas. █ ▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▂ ▁

"Then maybe you should've reminded them, instead of stare like some slack-jawed fish." A cock of his head. Coldpaw had known - obviously - but why would he bother when no one else was? Tigernight seemed to not understand this was intentional. No matter, he didn't expect much from this slug of a warrior.
The simple fact remained he simply wasn't interested in any of the apprentices he'd be "partnering" with. The Dawnspawn was too cozy with the Outsider and the others had the personalities of a shriveled up piece of moss. "Besides, assuming all these apprentices even participate, dear Warrior, there's an odd number. A cat is bound to be left out." This Warrior knowing how to count was probably asking for too much, perhaps he was too busy betting on the lack of attendance? "Why don't you make this interesting and partner with me, it will be easier for you to demonstrate instead of fighting air."
He had listened to and noted the instructions, but was more invested in seeing if Tigernight would bite, considering only the Outsider seemed to be doing anything right now.
