Maybe Birdpaw was a little rushed, but they only had a few hours left to finish the patrol, and considering this might as well be her last patrol as an apprentice, she wanted to get it done on time. Rubbing her scent glands, she marked the border, nose twitching at the slightly smokey scent wafting up from over the border, and continued down the border, only stopping when finished. Padding back to where they had split up, she waited for Sharpwhisker to be done so they could head in to report.

Nightspark growled loudly, one was trying to betray them... Mistycloud, warrior of the RiverClan, was trying to betray THEM all, he growled even louder thinking about that, and unsheated his claws, he waited for further orders from Beansprout, but couldn't resist mumbled as he looked at the bunnieclan warriors "Return on your burnt clan and stop trying to corrupt one of us...", he bristled, holding back with difficulty the urge to smack a bunny face, he started to recite a small litany to himself, asking for him and his clanmates protection, he had a bad feeling, and he was also a bit worried, will Kestrelpaw be safe? They hadn't trained a lot on fight those days, so he hoped he have done enough, but he reassured himself, he was near, if something happened, he could come to help her, he glared with zeal and a deep anger as he recited a second litany, of anger this time, he gave another small look to Beansprout and Wormbite, who seemed the most direct, and thinked, I have a bad feeling about that one...

Peachfrost's suggestion was a nice one, but he decided to wait until the RiverClan warrior had spoke before deciding if he wanted to send them to continue marking the border or not. Luckily for him as a RiverClan patrol arrived and was extremely hostile.

Fallownose's fur bristled at their tones, and his lip curled in discussed as he looked at the warrior who had called their life easy. "In case you haven't noticed, WindClan's life isn't easy either. And it's no wonder she wants to leave when you don't even know her name is Mistycloud and not Mistyheart," he spat, glaring at Wormbite. This was exactly why he was glad Twilightstar broke the alliance. RiverClan was too arrogant for their own good. At least Lionstar had been tolerable.

"We're not trying to corrupt anyone. Apparently, RiverClan isn't good enough for one of your warriors. Mistycloud, I'll gladly take you to speak to Twilightstar, especially since you were selfless enough to help pull an apprentice out of a lake who wasn't from your Clan. RiverClan's loss is our gain."

The WindClan deputy shot a quick glare at his patrol, willing them not to protest his decision. RiverClan could whine and hiss all they wanted, but they couldn't force Mistycloud to stay if she didn't want to. And if they tried, then things were going to get ugly.

Mistycloud frowned at Beansprout.

"Y-you wouldn't have understood, Beansprout. Everyone frowns at me because of my record with my first apprentice, but it wasn't even my fault. Then the apprentice last patrol I was on. Nobody gets it." She turned to Wormbite after Fallownose had snapped at him.

"For one, my name is Mistycloud, not Mistyheart!" she snapped. "And excuse me, nothing here was hard you foxheart. I haven't lost my mind like you lost your sight, Wormbite. Besides I am not turning traitor I'm going somewhere that I think is better for me," she smoothed her fur.

"And you, Nightspark. They have done no such thing, so mind your own business, snake-tongue," she growled. Mistycloud flicked her tail as she turned her attention back to Fallownose.

"Thank you for being so kind, Fallownose," the white warrior dipped her head in respect at Windclan's deputy.

Pretty bold of the fish to get so mouthy when their own were defecting. She didn't hide the disgust on her face as she glared at each and every member of the patrol - before finally landing on one particularly idiotic one.

"Passive are we? I wouldn't mind changing that." She hissed out to the dark lanky moron. Her claws dug into the earth below, digging up clumps. If only it were thatones flesh.

She hated Fallownose's decision to allow Misty whatever her name was into Windclan. Even if it was just for a quick chat with Twi, her fish stench would stink up their brand new camp. Better to just kill her and get it over with. She wouldn't argue with him... at least not here. Instead all she could do was let out a huff of disagreement. One more snarky comment would send her over the edge.

Join Windclan? Their ears pricked up as this cat, eveidently named Mistycloud, asked to do the unexpected. Huh, she hadn't thought that would happen. Of course, it wouldn't be so easy. Seemingly, the rest of Riverclan arrived, a group who proved to be much more hostile than she had expected. The oldest among looking shocked and betrayed, decidedly ignoring the patrol in hopes of getting his clanmate back. Too bad. But really, what was so wrong with Riverclan that she felt she had to go?

The next cat seemed rude. Got her name wrong, then spewed accusations. That wasn't something Cardinalpaw was a fan of, so they turned away from the action, moving their eyes towards the other cats across the border, an apprentice, another tom. Oh dear, what a large number of aggressive cats to meet on the border. This black cat paired with the growling one were quite disappointing. Sounded as if they were both trying to threaten Mistycloud into returning, no wonder she wanted to leave. Her clan was filled with rude ones such as these. Not that it mattered much to Cardinalpaw, she didn't feel pity for anyone but her family.

So they would be taking her. Huh. She turned around, ignoring the last few words between the patrols, staring at the ground as they kicked it with unsheathed paws. This was a dull argument, and she wanted it to be over.

Mistycloud dipped her head at Beansprout and turned to look at Fallownose.

"Since I'm going with you to speak with Twilightstar, may I cross the border?" the white molly asked, her blue eyes darting between the two patrols.

He didn't know what to think anymore. He felt hurt and betrayed. It was less of a personal hurt and more of a little snack to the nagging voice in his head insisting that Beansprout wasn't good enough. But that didn't matter right now. What did matter was controlling the aftermath. He gave Mistycloud one more hurt and disappointed look before straightening his face and speaking with a slight growl. "RiverClan, we're going home. Mistycloud... I'm sorry to say that you've made your decision. You're no longer welcome in RiverClan." With a long look at Fallownose, the siamese turned tail and made a point to walk further into RiverClan territory without looking back. "Wormbite. Nightspark. Kestrelpaw. Let's go."
