Firepetal
Firepetal slid out of the crumbly den, the warm sun shining into her fur, soaking into it. The crimson furred she-cat stretched, giving a mrrow of pleasure before surveying the scene. Many cats were awake now, all waiting for dawn patrol. Firepetal licked her jaws as she eyed the fresh-kill pile. She padded over towards the heavenly smell, her stomach growling, then swiped a small robin. She dug into the animal, licking her jaws and devouring it. Once she finished, she shook her fur and padded over towards the crowd of cats, waiting dove patrols. She got bored as she realised she wasn’t needed. She looked around for a hunting partner. Like they would expect her to just sit in the camp all day!
The tom took a deep breath of the cold air to fill his lungs. “Mhm.” he mumbled under his breath mulling over the idea. He had just woken up, though he definitely needed to be up and doing something helpful.
He dropped his stance into a stretch working his shoulders “I’suppose I should get off my butt an’ start doin somethin useful today” he smiled, a cheeky but earnest smile. “You can’t be pulling out no fancy moves though dear, I’m old an I ain’t gonna be able to keep up!” he joked standing back up and slapping a large paw on her shoulder once more.
The toms face softened empathetically at her exhaustion and gently eased himself down onto his shoulders at her side. Grizzly had an affinity for mothers, a secret desire to be a part of the parenting world despite seeing the struggles of it. “Trouble? Darlin you ain’t no trouble at’all.” he hesitated to begin again at her gentle smile. “Im figurin you are just as tired n’ sore as you were pregnant.” he gently leaned forward to butt a comforting head against the side of her head just as Dawnpaw toddled up to join them.
The tom withdrew to focus on the apprentice, which he didn’t immediately recognize to be Dawn until she began to speak. “Kiddo, aren’t you just so kind.” the tom purred sitting back upright and allowing Applebreeze the time to continue on her meal. He lifted a tail to press it reassuringly against the apprentices shoulder. “Oh sure there is, I reckon Dawnpaw issa brilliant story teller. Aren’t you?” he gaze danced between both felines “perhaps you can get yurself some rest while yer nursin and Dawnpaw can tell them little kittens a good tale.”

“I’m not much younger than you, ya know. My bones are also becoming no good even though I’m 35 moons,” she gave GrizzlyThroat a nudge. “It just so happens that I have good genes for aging.” She began to chuckle, “like really good- at the last gathering I was confused for an apprentice-“ her chuckle became a laugh then a joyful sigh.

"Hello, nice day isn't it?" Lilacfall had been up and about when she saw Firepetal.
She had been awake since the crack of dawn, and was honestly a wee bit tired. Sleep deprivation was a factor, but most of it was connected to boredom. The dawn patrols began to filter out of the clearing. It was slightly disappointing, especially considering she had been hoping to get out of the camp, which was infinitely more entertaining in a group. Her eyes moved from where she had been gazing lazily at the camp wall, instead moving to each of the cats around the clearing. A few were already conversing in the corner, but, much like her, one remained alone. "Hey, Firepetal." Perhaps she could work with this, find someone who didn't already have negative opinions on her and make a friend. Hey man, this could be great she could get her training done. Of course, she'd have to work up to that one. "Would you care to go hunting?"

"Hello, nice day isn't it?" Lilacfall had been up and about when she saw Firepetal.
Firepetal lifted her chin to gaze at the she-cat. She nodded, smiling. “It is, actually. The sun is high up and the clouds aren’t blocking the sun.” Firepetal blabbered. Her face grew hot. Firepetal! Stop speaking! you’re blabbering like a mousebrain! she plastered a false smile onto her face. “So, how are you..?”

Firepetal swung her crimson-furred head at the apprentice. She chuckled. Foxpaw was a dear clanmate of hers, very enthusiastic and full of humour. Firepetal was actually surprised that someone asked to hunt with her. It wasn’t very often when someone asked to hunt with her! She nodded, smiling. “Yes please!” she tilted her head to a side. “Which place to you prefer to hunt in?” she asked.

Lilacfall laughs, "I'm good, are you doing well?" Lilacfall's whiskers twitch in amusement, she smiles as they do so.
