Re: Hidden Dangers [ThunderClan Poison Lesson]
Poppykit
(No Header Yet)/ Male / 1 Moon / ThunderClan / Orientation Unknown
Longhaired tom-kit with a vibrant, pastel coloured pelt of primarily red-orange, with cream and red tabby patches. Unusually tiny in size, his ears are large, his tail is long, and he has bright blue eyes.
“I promise I understand, you tried your hardest. I simply couldn’t tell.”
~ Poppykit, 3/6
✽❀✽
The pastel orange tom-kit could drowsiness pulling at his eyes, clouding his mind as the world faded into view. Awakening from a deep nap was not entertaining nor comfortable, but as of today, it was only growing worse. The tiny tom-kit was finding it increasingly difficult to wake up properly in the morning, since as of late, pleasant nights and naps were becoming hard to come by. Now that Poppykit getting to know the curious and creative side of himself, his imagination was certainly expanding, but this came with a catch. Nightmares were becoming something to be expected when he closed his eyes and laid down to rest, and off and on, the innocent young tom’s dreams were getting contaminated by the frightening things. Dreams of peace and stillness were treasures, but they never lasted long- somebody or something always woke him up before the best things could occur, and today was no different. Commotion began to rustle around ThunderClan camp, and at the sound of it, Poppykit was dragged from a nice sleep, into the noise and the chill of the waking world. He blinked the blur out from his vision, eyebrows furrowed and heart nestled deep in his stomach. Of course the noise had to blow up he moment he was just about to have a full rest of peace, how cruel! In the small tom-kit’s personal opinion, he deserved much, much better than this- but what was there to do? Complain? No thanks- he lived in the nursery and heard enough of the stuff all day long to cringe at the thought of it.
Reluctantly, Poppykit slumped up onto all fours and raised his head. S’pose if somebody’ll make it worth wake’n up, it’ll be alright. Maybe’s a clan meeting ‘r something else normal, I dunno. If ‘m lucky it’ll be fun… ‘ish. Now, Poppykit’s idea of fun and entertainment was slightly different from that of the average kitten- collecting leaves and old flower petals was a unique hobby of his- but he had decided for himself that everybody in this world had an inner geek hanging out somewhere inside of them. The patched tabby tom stretched his neck forward to get a good look outside of the nursery, bright blue gaze narrowing as he centered his attention on the scene unfolding outside. ThunderClan members were gathering up around the rock, but Poppykit could not recall hearing Bumblestar’s familiar call for a meeting, so puzzled, his focus bumped around until it landed on a familiar figure standing around camp. The kitten identified the older cat as ThunderClan’s medicine cat, and heart bouncing back up again with interest, he stumbled his way over towards the nursery entrance with his ears perked, ready to eavesdrop. Wolfhawk called for ThunderClan to gather up and get out there to here him teach about poisons, bluntly informing them that he did not wish for them to die. Poppykit was instantly drawn to the idea of getting himself educated about such things, and the thought of taking advantage of the fresh learning opportunity send a boost of energy shooting through his paws. It wasn’t long before he was zipping out of the nursery, whiskers twitching and ears flicking, ready as he would ever be to hear out an information rainfall. He skirted to a stop near the center of camp and his blue stare jumping back to the medicine cat. With that, the pale tabby tom-kitten awaited the ‘fun’ in silent anticipation, eyes gleaming with curiosity and interest.

Re: Hidden Dangers [ThunderClan Poison Lesson]
Well now, the wolf was hosting something potentially helpful. Sunrisekit nosed her littermates to get their attention. "'ey! This looks useful, we should go." She meowed, not really a suggestion. They hadn't really spent a lot of time together not...well, mooping. This would be a good opportunity for them to shift their focus to the future and learn something. Though, she felt she'd need to keep an...extra close eye on Hailkit. He in particular was still...moopy. Reasonably so, but Sunrisekit's protective nature was telling her to keep an eye on him and she would do just that.
Proudly, head and tail raised high, Sunrisekit trotted over to where Wolfhawk was gathering the others. Sitting purposefully so he'd know she was there for the lesson as well.

Re: Hidden Dangers [ThunderClan Poison Lesson]
Kestrelkit
medium-furred, gray-and-orange calico molly with heterochromatic green-and-blue eyes
purrks: n/a
she/her | thc kit | 1 moon
Kestrelkit’s mismatched eyes blinked slowly, the soft swirl of frost in the air settling around her like a veil. The cold bit at her nose, but she didn’t move from her perch near the nursery. She had been deep in her world of curiosity, enchanted by the sparkling snow and the feather she had just let flutter away, when Wolfhawk’s booming voice tore through the camp. Her ears perked sharply at the sound, the deep, rumbling timbre of his words carrying a weight that seemed to settle over the entire clearing. "Poisons?" she whispered to herself, her small voice barely audible against the winter's hush. The word was unfamiliar, strange, and carried an edge that made her shiver. It wasn’t the cold that sent the prickle through her fur this time, but something else—something that whispered danger in a way her young mind couldn’t quite grasp. Her curiosity burned brighter than her uncertainty, and without thinking, she found herself padding hesitantly toward the gathering crowd. The ground beneath her paws was still new to her—cold, uneven, and littered with tiny shards of ice that stung her soft pads. She stumbled a little, her paws catching in the fresh snow, but she pressed on, her eyes fixed on Wolfhawk’s imposing figure. He was like a giant to her, a dark blur of fur against the pale backdrop of the camp, his voice carrying the kind of authority that even her tiny heart recognized as important. His fur puffed out against the chill, and even though he was lying down, he seemed larger than life, like an ancient tree weathered by moons of storms but still standing tall.
Kestrelkit hesitated at the edge of the group, her tricolored fur fluffed against the cold as she peered up at him. The word he had used—poisons—echoed in her mind, tangled with the other fragments of that she coincidentally thought about often. What did it mean? Was it something dangerous? Something bad? She didn't know, but perhaps Wolfy would be able to explain it to her?

Re: Hidden Dangers [ThunderClan Poison Lesson]
wooooowwwiee!!! poisons??? Cricketkit's green eyes widened as the medicine cat spoke, and the white tom scampered out into the clearing, letting out a small squeak in the tempature difference. No matter, he was going to learn, and nothing could stop him!!!!
Cricketkit pushed his way to the front of the gathering crowd and sat himself in front of the medicine cat, a wide grin on his face

Re: Hidden Dangers [ThunderClan Poison Lesson]
Smokefang, the double faced
ThunderClan Warrior
He/Him
Hmm? Did he hear something about poison?
Smokefang's ears perked up and his eyes glinted with curiosity. He never really got into herbs, or something like that. As such, his knowledge about poison was somewhere around...
Nothing.
The only thing he knew about it was just the fact that it could be labbeled as:
Danger, death.
That's all. So he padded up to the group that was forming at the call.

Butterflypaw-She/Her
6 Moons
----------------------
Butterflypaw loves learning new things!
As soon as she hears about this event, she is over as fast as she can move.
Plus, poisons would be good to learn anyway, right?
It would be bad to eat or even touch the wrong thing or something.

Re: Hidden Dangers [ThunderClan Poison Lesson]
| Sprucejumper |
14 Moons - ThunderClan Warrior
Kitty Softpaws [T2] - Active | Ultimate Predator - Inactive | Agatha Kitty - Inactive | Not Skiddin' Around - Active
The former kittypet was a loner on the best of days. Having really only connected with The Boulder in his younger months, now that the feline was sick and the lockdown had been going on for longer than he thought possible, however, he had been forced into proximity with the star worshipers. Lots and lots of proximity. The hateful kind. The I'm done with this crap kind.
And yet what could he do? Leaving the camp on his own was a surefire way of getting himself killed. Or at the very least being forced into self appointed exile, seeing as how Angry would probably not let him return alive. It made for an awfully dreary experience, one he would have left months ago if not for the fact that he would be unable to say goodbye to the one feline he cared about. Not to mention that he still technically had an apprentice to look after. Mind, an apprentice that had been sick for as long as he'd been appointed to her, but an apprentice nonetheless. He wouldn't be like his own mentor. The one he'd had before the hornet. He would stick around and finish the damn job. Care he might not, but he had principles, thank you very much.
It was in this state of boxed in boredom that he found himself in when Puppy padded towards the clearing, calling attention to all of ThunderClan. With deadpanned eyes he turned his gaze towards the brown furred tom, a brow quirked in mild curiosity. Were more patrols being called out? Pokey liked to send him out a lot on those. And he had in theory told Puppy that he was at his call whenever he needed him, he supposed.
To the tom's surprise, there were no patrols called out. Instead, it seemed the leafy cat wanted to teach them... stuff? Poisons, in particular. Despite himself, Sprucejumper's ears perked up. Flowers of any kind held less than zero interest for him on the daily, making this not something he would normally find himself enthused about learning. Hell, even now he wasn't particularly thrilled, really. But damn it, he was bored! And if it ever came down to it and he had to leave? Make it out on his own? Well... knowing poisons wouldn't be bad, now would it?
With a groan that sounded much more fitting for an elder than a fourteen moon old warrior, the tom lifted himself to his feet, long legs stretching and popping as he walked towards the gathered cats. A quick, disinterested survey of the clearing told him all he needed to know. He didn't recognize anyone here. As such, he remained to the back, emerald orbs half lidded and staring blankly at the herbalist, his tail wrapped around his toes to combat the creeping chill of winter as it approached. There might not be a warm Mudhound to snuggle up to while Puppy barked away his knowledge, but any knowhow that helped improve his chances of survival was worth standing some potential, impromptu, uncalled for socialization, so he'd bear with it for now.
