Nightshadepelt scoffed, "If Dusklion shows up, should tell her about this." He told Primrosepaw. He turned to face both Primrose, Soft, and Willow. "As for what we should do with this, I don't trust this prey. If Dusk or Fading show up, ask 'em what to do with this. It could be poisoned or somethin'." With that, he turned. "Lets bury that water vole, Willow, and continue on hunting. Might as well find something that we CAN bring back without possibly killing our clanmates."

Willowtail nodded gently. "Let's stay with her Incase they come back" Willowtail meowed to her mate. turning to Softpaw and Primrosepaw.

Softpaw was looking at Primrosepaw. "Primerosepaw...." Softpaw meowed gently. "I'm sorry"

Primrosepaw glared after the retreating loner. Once Lavender had disappeared from sight, she prodded the rabbit.

´´It doesn´t have much meat on its bones,´´ She snorted, flicking an ear irritably. ´´But, I guess we should be glad to have it. Who knows if the other Clans hunted our territory dry.´´

Shaking out her pelt, Primrosepaw turned to the three cats. ´´Thank you all for showing up. I was worried that I wouldn´t have been able to win a fight if it came to one.´´

Opening her jaws to taste the air, Primrosepaw dashed into the bushed, returning a moment after with a thrush between her jaws. She purred in satisfaction.

Flicking her ears in response to Nightshadepelt as the two headed out of camp, the deputy scanned the territory for any signs the loners had followed the trio. "Show me where you came across 'em," she asked her companion, slowing a bit so he could take the lead and locate the spot along the border where the outsiders had been found.

Nightshadepelt nodded, stalking forward. He mainly searched for that prey pile. His eyes scanned the area. Walking forward, a smell hit his nose, the presumed prey pile. It had stunk of the loners, mostly. Nightshade followed after the smell, he made his way up to it. The tom scowled at all the prey that had been dropped off, his eyes scanning again. "Hollowed out tree should be a lil further away from here. They hunted all of that on our territory, I believe."

Dusklion - RiverClan Deputy

A low growl sounded from Dusklion as they arrived to the pile of prey. It was on their territory which infuriated her, but at least the outskirts border wasn't far. "Grab it - we're throwin' it back over 'n buryin' it in the outskirts. I don't know who those cats are 'n we can't trust they didn't do anythin' to it."

With that said she grabbed as much of the prey as she could and head towards the outskirts. Once she arrived she crossed the scent markers and padded aways out, starting to dig at the soil. She made quick work of burying it before lifting her head and scanning for any sign of any outsiders, tail flicking at her side. "How many were there again?" she asked Nightshadepelt.

[ @CollapsingStars - not sure how much prey is there but I assume both dusk and nightshade can get rid of it in just one trip! ]

(I have no idea how much prey is there either, but one trip sounds good)

Nightshadepelt as much prey as he could, following what Dusklion had ordered. Once he managed to set down the prey he spoke. "Two. One that's 'paw age and one that's warrior age." He looked at the border, looking for that stupid hollowed tree. He couldn't see it though. Stars if he knew where it was he'd tell Dusk. He dug a hole, burying the suspicious prey inside.

"Look out for a hollowed tree. They're living there. I know its off the border but if they cause anymore trouble, that's where their den is." He continued looking around, to no avail. Those loners.. "I want to know how they knew we were having issues with prey." He frowned. "Wonder if someone yapped to them."

Trotting back so that she was back on RiverClan territory, Dusklion continued along the way. Irritation flashed through her pelt though and she glanced over at Nightshadepelt. "What issues? Huntin' patrols just returned 'n stocked the pile, 'n warriors have been goin' out on their own too." She wasn't entirely sure where this thought of "RiverClan having no prey" was coming from considering the prey pile was well stocked with the return of patrols, the catches from Primrosepaw and Bluetide, and Sedgeflake's contributions.

"Regardless, we don't need to be takin' prey from outsiders even if there were nothin' more than a moss-ball in our prey pile. We can't know for sure if they've done anythin' to it or not, 'n I'm not trustin' my Clan's safety in the paws of a stranger." Trotting along for a bit she wasn't able to locate any hollowed out trees. Hmph.

It seemed like they were gone, as the scent she had picked up to follow traveled further into the outskirts. "We'll just keep a tight eye on the borders, 'n I'll let cats know to keep an eye out for any strange activity. Since we're back 'n settled in, I don't want random cats thinkin' they can come 'n go as they please."

With a flick of her tail she gestured for Nightshadepelt to come away from the border after having marked it herself to renew the scent markers, turning her paws to head back towards the den. "Before we get back to camp, I just need to make sure of somethin'," Dusklion said, narrowing her eyes. She had a pretty good idea that she was correct. "Was Primrosepaw with your huntin' patrol, or did you 'n Willowtail find her out by herself?"

[ @CollapsingStars - the reason dusk is asking is because she has the mind reader purk and knew prim was out by herself when she reported ^^ she just wants to confirm it ]

He watched Dusklion for the most part as she spoke, not wanting to interrupt her. As far as he knew, the pile had been small. Though he hadn't had checked before he had headed out. He responded to her, "Yeah, that prey was suspicious. They said it wasn't poisoned or whatever, like I believe that." He huffed.

Then she asked about Primrosepaw. There was no point in lying. "She was out here by herself, hadn't brought her along. Don't know if she followed us or what. But we didn't know she was out here at all. Not until we saw her. She handled it well, but I don't know why she was out here by herself." He answered truthfully. He didn't know if that apprentice followed them, all he knew is that she was there dealing with the loner by herself.
