Where should they hunt? He scented the breezy air to try and figure out where more prey would be. Huh. Interesting. It was at just about the same spot that he and SkunkRidge went to a while ago. Hell—last time he was here was before the raid.
“How ‘bout we head over there to hunt?” He flicked his tail over to a certain patch that seemed to be the place seeds dropped from a tree, causing plenty of prey to enjoy the spot. “This is where I first hunted with my mentor SkunkRidge!” He shared proudly. They had gotten quite a few good catches that day. It was nice.

Dawnpaw nodded and agreed "Yeah that would be a great place to hunt." She whispered trying not to scare off the prey and she crouched down not making a sound as they went over to that patch. She felt watched but she focused on trying to get a prey scent and found a mouse scent and kept her crouch and keeping her tail off the ground she went for the kill.
She caught the mouse batting it into the air and catching it in her mouth making sure that it was dead and she caught it by the tail. She smiled at Stormpaw and nodded. She was happy to be on a outing with him.

Jaws parted in a large yawn as the warrior trotted slightly behind her apprentice and... Dawnpaw's friend as the skipped ahead. She had not planned to go on a hunting trip since this was close to the time of day when she usually took time to rest. But Dawnpaw and Stormpaw had seemed eager to get out and test their still-developing talents out in the territory, so Hawkcatcher could hardly fault them.
She was only here as a chaperone, with no obligation to hunt. But this was Hawkcatcher you were talking about, so resting while the trainees tried to catch prey felt off. Shaking off another yawn, the massive warrior stretched and slipped into the undergrowth after a scent, staying close enough to the apprentices to be able to keep an eye on them and make sure they would not get into danger, but far away enough to give them space and not scare of their potential catches.

The Warrior had grabbed the first few cats he saw among the clearing and invited each out hunting. Recent tensions within the Clan had been something they noticed fairly swiftly upon joining moons ago. The former kittypet flicked their tail, aiming to grab the patrols attention. "As I stated back in camp, just hunting. Return here when you have your catch and we can return as a group. Be alert to any possible threats of course. Have common sense..." They mewed blankly, clearing their throat. Then breaking off from the group to do his own thing. Lowering his nose to ground to catch any scent they could.

The young apprentice hobbled his way into bumblestar's den, pausing for a moment to let his green gaze adjust to the lighting. "Bumblestar! Was wondering if you could teach me some fighting moves. Needa make sure I can protect stinkin Mornin'paw and the rest of the clan. Also because I... Don't know any yet. So, what do you say?" he said, a smile on his face.
Lots of apprentices asking her for training lately. She didn't mind it, it was just a bit of an odd insurgence and it made her wonder if some of them were having mentor troubles. Not with Wolfpaw, though, since he was with Mudhound, but... hm.
Bumblestar twitched an ear. "Sure. Follow me, we'll find a good spot to get the basics down."
Usually she'd head for the Cove, since it was nice and open, but with the threat of owls hanging over their heads, she didn't want to risk it, so she made for the Creek instead. She would try not to go easy on him because of the leg, in case he didn't want to feel pitied. "We'll start with the easiest thing first. It's basically just smackin' your opponent on the head, but if you time it right and do it hard enough, you can get to the point of knockin' cats out cold. Like this." Bumblestar reached out to bap the top of Wolfpaw's head. "Like that, but faster in a real fight, of course."

The apprentice somehow found herself strolling alongside three warriors that evening. Three warriors! She would be one soon also! Kestrelpaw couldn't wait! Practically vibrating with excitement, the mottled apprentice mostly clung to her father's side, basking in his presence, turquoise eyes bright and round and sparkly with happiness. She wanted to open her maw and chatter continuously, but her Papa didn't seem to prefer noise, so she just stuck to keeping her mouth glued shut despite the rampage of thoughts stampeding in her mind.

Bugtuft yawned. Some apprentice had asked them to come to hunt herbs so he wouldn't get in trouble for being out alone, and she had obliged. She was mainly here as a chaperone, after all.

Bugtuft said yes!!! Pinepaw bounced around excitedly, humming as he did so. "This is an herb patrol, technically, but I want to get some really pretty flowers and make them into a crown for Ms. Bumblestar!" he chirruped, beckoning Bugtuft to follow with his tail. Happily trotting, he spotted some flowers. Ooo, these ones were really cool! He plucked them, waving his tawny tail high cheerfully.

This kid really was all over the place, he observed. Wasn't much to observe, the youngster's personality really showed. Bugtuft hurried, as not to lose Pinepaw as he dashed through the forest. Well, might as well help with the collecting. More flowers was good in this case, he supposed. They picked a couple of flowers, stopped, and dropped them at the kid's paws. "Here." he said.

OOO!!! More flowers! But he wanted to collect as many as possible, and while he was quite The Collecter, he couldn't hold everything. "Thanks for the flowers, but can you carry them? I want to have as many as possible, and you can help carry them! I can carry a lot, but not every single one!" he purred. Bending down to pick more flowers, while humming cheerfully.
