Chasmpaw was happy about her first training. She was prepared to take on this training session. It was also good for her to chat with the other apprentices while waiting. Chasmpaw ran towards the group of cats and skidded. She fell onto her side and quickly got up.

Hollypaw’s ears flicked at the sound of Hickorysmoke’s voice, sharp and clear across the clearing. Her gaze shifted to the brown tom on the rock, his words cutting through the early morning lull with a kind of intensity that caught her interest.
Advanced combat. Sparring. Ambushes from trees. She didn’t need to hear more.
Without a word, she rose from where she’d been grooming the dried mud from her legs, posture steady and composed. She didn’t bound over like some of the others—she walked, brisk and focused, weaving between cats without so much as a glance. Her expression was unreadable, eyes narrowed slightly in thought. This wasn’t excitement. This was duty.
Every step toward the gathering group was deliberate. She didn’t need praise or encouragement—she needed to be better. And this? This was a chance. ThunderClan needed warriors who could handle anything. Water, air, trees—whatever the code threw at them. She was going to be one of them.
Settling into a spot near the edge of the group, Holly’paw didn’t speak. She simply sat, tail curled neatly around her paws, pale yellow eyes locked on Hickorysmoke. Focused. Alert. Ready.
She didn’t say, “I’m excited.” She didn’t need to. She was here.

Hickorysmoke looked at nightwatcher, ears pricked. "I'd be happy to. Just let me know when you want trainin' back, till then I got ya covered."
He nodded, his gaze shifting to Flintclaw, the deputy. "Flintclaw! Care to join us?"
His deep voice rumbled as he looked at the tabby. Quite a few cats were here already, but he'd give it a few more minutes. Quite the turnout, but Hickorysmoke expected as much.
"I could use ya as a referee fer some of the spars if ya don't mind." He said, it felt weird to tell the deputy that, but hey, he was in charge of the training event, and Flintclaw was a hell of a good fighter, he'd see dirty tricks easily.
Raccoonpaw looked over at Nightwatcher, who seemed to be pawning him off to Hickorysmoke. He understood why it had to happen. Nightwatcher was hurt and he needed to rest up.

scorpionpaw's ears swiveled at the sound of another cat's approach. a familiar timid voice greeted him. he nodded confidently in response. "hey spidey," he replied, eyes fixed on the organizer of the event. his tail curled around his paws.
another apprentice approached out of the corner of his eye, obviously headed for spiderpaw. he eyed the newcomer suspiciously but made no comment or greeting. still, he listened to their conversation idly as he awaited further instruction.

Emberpaw dipped his head in greeting to the other apprentice. "Scorpionpaw, right?" Emberpaw mewed polietly, "I'm Emberpaw, please to make your aquatiance." Emberpaws tone was kind and poliet, but he had a calm and collected appearance, using the word aquatiance to let the tom know even though he was being kind (mainly for Spiderpaws sake and Emberpaws tiny crush on Spiderpaw), he still had his suspicious intentions.
