Okay! He was doing pretty great as a mentor! He was getting the hang of this! Hollyhawk padded into camp, Apple pressed against him, both of their maws full of prey. He set his prey on the pile along with his mate before they embraced and went their separate ways. Stars... he already missed Appleleaf's presence, but had to focus on Peonypaw's training still, when he was done he could finally spend some quality time with his partner.

His green gaze scanned camp carefully, narrowing as he tried to spot his apprentice's dark pelt among the rest. That's when he finally spotted Peonypaw.

"Hey! Peonypaw! I'm kinda tired- I was wonderin' if you'd be okay doing some combat practice in camp? I can teach ya some basic stuff- maybe something more complex if ya want!" Holly said with a smile and a nod.

Peonypaw's ear perked as he heard his name being called. He watched as his mentor parted, painfully apperently, with his mate Appleleaf. Bleh, weird warriors stuff, Peony himself didn't think much about mates really.

Well.. there was that one time... He sighed, shaking his head before sliding over to Hollyhawk. "I'm down." He replied with a half-smile.

"Sick! sounds good!"] He lead the apprentice to a secluded placed in camp "Alright! so just like hunting you gotta work on your crouch. It's basically the same thing, but less worry about not touching the ground- unless you're trying to sneak up on your opponent, but that really IS just hunting with extra steps" The warrior said followed by a laugh.

"I'll start with your basic paw swipe! All you need to do is lash out with your claws at your opponent- Obviously we won't be using claws here but typically you use your claws for fightin'" Hollyhawk said with a nod and a laugh "Like this"

He demonstrated the crouch, then shot forward but slowly so Peonypaw could see everything he did. He raised his paw, aiming a slow, gentle blow to Peony's chest, if successful it was barely hard enough to even be felt. He was being careful to avoid anything that would hurt.
