Bedtime Stories (a game!)

Hey, welcome to bedtime stories! A game where we create a story. I'm not sure if a thread like this already exists but I thought it'd be fun anyway.

How it works: One person will start a story (I'll go first) and each post after that, someone will add to the story with 1-3 lines.
EXAMPLE: (WCOlover3): The character then ran-away with former prince. (Hello45): The prince and princess ran into a group of forest fae. ETC ETC

When the story comes to a natural end, a new one may be started.

Quick Rules:
Your post should be 1-3 lines min and max
Don't double post, let others have their chance
Keep the story consistent, meaning: try to keep the plot on topic and not incredibly random
Obvs keep it appropriate

I will be keeping track of the parts so we can read the whole thing when it's finished!!

My Part:

It had been a long, hard night, but there was a huge event going on in town tonight! Something no one could miss.

The racing steps on the cobblestone path sounded, the screams and yells behind

Everything would change tonight, it would all be different. But if I kept to myself, I could find out more details about the event.

I decided to try to sneak into the bleachers. Everyone was still setting up.

And then someone tapped me on the back. "What ya doing there?" the one eyed person asked.

"N-nothing," I responded quickly, nervous.

I hoped the one-eyed person wouldn't ask more questions. ``It's none of your concern anyway."

[crow.]

The one eyed man seemed unimpressed, but he nodded and walked away.

I took my leave and headed onward, whatever was going on must be a festival of sorts.

A vendor selling beeswax popped out and dangled a jar in front of my face, yelling "Do ya wanna buy some beeswax? Freshly caught, super sweet!"
