Welcome to Character of the Month, a feature designed to recognize two characters who deserve kudos!

→ How It Works! ←

Using the form found at the bottom of this post, you may nominate two Main Roleplay characters you think deserved to be featured! Nominations will be held for approximately 3 weeks, ending around the 22nd.

Once nominations end, a poll will be posted with the names of the characters who qualify for voting. You're free to vote for as many characters as you want, so long as you don't vote for your own character. However, it is discouraged to vote for every character listed, as only two will win. The voting period will end on the last day of the month, and the results will be posted on the 1st of the new month.

*If two characters have the most votes, but they are roleplayed by the same person, the winner will be picked by the staff team based on the nomination reasons, and the second winner will default to the next highest vote.

Bonus! If you nominate a character, your name will be entered into a raffle. Three lucky winners will get 2,500 Koins each! Winners are eligible to win again after 3 months.

Before you nominate, please keep these in mind:

• Please use one form per character - they should not be in the same form.
• Characters should have been roleplayed within the last two weeks of being nominated to avoid inactive characters being featured.
• You may not nominate your own characters, or advertise your characters to gain nominations.
• Characters who violated a roleplay rule are ineligible for Character of the Month during the month they broke the guideline.
• For the sake of giving every character a chance, avoid nominating cats who have already been nominated for the month.
• A character who has won before may be nominated only after 6 months.
• Empty "placeholder" posts that do not nominate a cat and exist solely for users to come back to and edit later are not permitted. Any "placeholder" posts will be deleted and the user fined 1,000 KK. (For more details, see this announcement.)

Nominations must include an explanation of why the character deserves recognition. Posts that do not provide a reasoning will be removed.

Additionally, be thorough in your evaluation of the character. Vague or thoughtless statements (e.g. "they're cool", "they slay") will result in your nomination being discarded. We want to know why you think this cat deserves attention!

When writing your nomination reason, consider these questions to get you started:

• How is this character unique?
• What have they accomplished?
• How has this character changed over time through the roleplay?
• What is the significance of their actions in-roleplay?

Why should this character be featured?: The man. The myth. The legend. That’s right everyone, put your paws together for the most scariest fella in thunderclan… well.. maybe scratch that ‘scariest’ part. Flintclaw is such a charismatic and interesting character that I enjoy seeing around, which luckily he’s around quite often. From being bullied by kittens to getting tossed around by otters, if the clan calls for a warrior you can bet that Flintclaw will be there, well he will be if he isn’t on forced kitsitting duties ( don’t worry it’s his favorite job. )

Why should this character be featured?: This guy won COTM right around when I first joined WCO, and I immediately spiraled into being completely obsessed with his character. It’s been incredible watching his journey—stepping down from his role as Lionheart to really focus on his mental health. He’s such a layered, well-developed character, and his loyalty to RiverClan is so genuine. I especially love how he advocates for mental health and is pushing to make it a real part of training. Every post is a treat to read, and Dolo brings him to life so well! <3

Why should this character be featured?: The poor man has been THROUGH IT, I take a lot of joy (and sorrow) in reading his posts. He's so well written that you feel everything he goes through yourself, I can't wait to see him redeem himself and read more of his fantastic posts!!

Character Name: Gladepaw @iliri
Character Faction: RiverClan
Why should this character be featured?: okay, wow, there's a lot to say.
First off, Gladepaw is a beautifully written character - even just reading the descriptions illy wrote for her was impeccable. I have never enjoyed reading a character's information more. Not to mention how iliri writes them? It's a wonderful mix between jumpy and careful that makes Gladepaw's character so much more real. Their emotions are so well written that I can vividly imagine the characters actions and thoughts. Second off, Gladepaw's story is very intricate and I love the details and everything about it!! Honestly, I love everything about this character. All of iliri's characters are very unique and very expressive with their different personalities - but Gladepaw is definitely my favorite. And the way iliri writes their anxiety? Beautiful!!

There's something so interesting about where they're heading and I'm excited to see what is to come for this apprentice!

Why should this character be featured?: I just had to show my love for this girl and nominate her here. Shrikepaw is an absolute whirlwind of a character, full of excess energy and a true fighting spirit. She holds her friends very dear, and is willing to give her all to defend them wether that be verbally or during the heat of battle. She's an absolute joy to read and Jax should be very proud of the little cat she's become <3

Why should this character be featured?: I'm entirely enthralled with Sootbird, a wonderfully anxious ball of fluff with a really abstract way of thinking. I'm looking forward to reading how she handles Pikekit's exuberance and even more looking forward to seeing Sootbird's character continue to develop! <3

Why should this character be featured?:What the- MUDHOUND????? ONE OF THE GOOFIEST CATS IN THUNDERCLAN???And why should they win? Oh, lemme tell ya. First off, just look at them! They're a cuddly giant who is just happy happy happy despite everything that's happened, such as loosing a leg! I love reading their posts, and they never fail to make me giggle and crack a smile, Mud is just so heartwarming and goofy!! Despite being a silly cat they know when to be serious and when not to joke around too, such as comforting a cat their close to like 'Puppy' and 'Sprucy' and 'Bumble-sis' - yes, nicknames!! Nicknames for everyone. Bumble-sis gets a nickname for being sister, Sprucy and Puppy and Quackers since Mudhound has taken them under their wing, Spider-dude and Woofie for their friends, so many good ones! And then Mudhound was sad after loosing woofie (Wolfhive) and it was just so heartbreaking to read, how they acted with the sick and after their nephews death, I just wished I could give them a big ol hug through the screen. But they're bouncy again and also kinda on the edge of death! Wait what?!? Ok ok it looks like they're fine. I think. They better be okay.
