Offering up my guy Blackjaw as a close friend, he is a younger warrior but he is strong and could grow a close bond with Pinepaw so that he becomes very protective of him. He could also be like his role model or wingman kinda idea lol. On the outside, he seems very reserved but he is really just a yapper lol. If a mentor hasn't been chosen for him, then maybe he could be his mentor as well!

History:
Honeysucklekit had a fairly big friend group in his kithood, including his two littermates. He's always been a bit of trouble, though was fairly good at talking his way out of it.
Perhaps one night closer to apprenticeship, Honeysuckle snuck out of camp and that's when he met Pine, maybe they hit it off right away and Pine had a little kitten crush on Honeysuckle, which could be one of the reasons he joined shc.
Honeysuckle is apprenticed, and then one day POOF! Pinepaw is there sleeping in the apprentice den. Honeysuckle is surprised and finds out about Pine's joining and is ecstatic, though he's not entirely sure why.

Spatterpaw—She/Her—ShadowClan Apprentice—HR Approval Pending Now HR Approved!
To all who know her—and most who don't—Spatterpaw is the classic example of an apprentice who isn't old enough to know better. She's adventurous and self-assured to the point of being almost overconfident, and has promised that she will be the greatest warrior more times than there are cats in the clans (or so her friends say.) However, there is a side of her that few, if any, get to see: that of a kind-hearted, soft-spoken apprentice who dreams of being a medicine cat some day. Her larger-than-life, overconfident appearance is a facade she wears daily to avoid being shunned or teased, which are her greatest fears. Despite being seemingly invincible, she is sensitive to harsh words and heckling and is worried that wishing to be a medicine cat instead of a warrior will make her an outcast among her peers. However, it is a dream she clings to and clings to faithfully.
I think it would be interesting to see Pinepaw and Spatterpaw interact, since on the surface they are almost complete opposites, but Spatterpaw has a much softer personality that she doesn't let out often. She is open for the friend or crush slots, although I would prefer the latter.
