Charcoal whimpered as he limped as fast as he could, away from the twoleg den. Why had they wanted to hurt him? And now he couldn't find his mother or any of his family! What would he do now? He would starve! He lifted his raw muzzle into the air, trying his best to find any familiar scents. No, he could barely smell anything. He noticed a familiar colored pelt zip by, and he followed it, trying to seek help.

Sova was actually worried now. She usually didn't show emotions, but today she was. The voice sounded hurt and young. She ran to the noise and found a kit. Wait. They looked like....
Nevermind. It's probably another cat. She grabbed them by the scruff and brought them to the den. @ SagetheSnowman

Charcoal winced as somecat picked him up by the scruff, carrying him away. The smell was familiar, almost soothing, but he couldn't quite pick out where he knew it from. It was probably just a coincidence, but it was all too real.
