There was little to nothing on the fresh kill pile. He knew that without a deputy for the time being, additionally, the mourning that many were experiencing ( including him ) there was little hunting being done. At least, not nearly enough to properly feed the clan in the midst of leafbare. And for once... Seabreeze was tired of being sad, and he knew that this was something Stormstar had had a problem with. They had discussed in her den that she wanted to see him better and that she wanted him to make steps to being better. It would be against her wishes to let her death hold him back once more. So instead, he saw a problem, and decided to address it.

He stepped into the middle of the clearing. At least through a meeting, only those that felt ready or wanting to participate could participate. He only wondered if people would join knowing that he was leading it... he knew that whispers were following him, he heard Reed... But they would be stupid and paranoid to actually think, Seabreeze someone who has killed murdered and served Riverclan for what... two season cycles and then some at this point. "Riverclan! I am putting together a hunting event. Allowing those who want to help, to help, while those in need of rest continue to do so. I understand the loss we face is... devestating beyond anything, but we must continue and prey is running low."

Seabreeze's eyes shifted through the cats he could see, waiting for any reactions as he breathed before continuing. "I will be splitting cats into groups so as to not over hunt in different spots. While we need prey, we also need to be sure to leave some for the rest of the season. For those interested, please gather here."

THE EVENT
Okay sooo, I noticed ( idk how accurate it is ) that rc has nothing in storage rn so I decided to put on an event.

Points will be calculated based on catches and activity
I.E 2 points per on time post, 1 point per late post, points depend on catch
I will be using a d20 for catch rates so please have characters ATTEMPT
Please make sure to mention hunting applicable purrks

RowanMane immediately carried himself over, trying to hold himself high, though he looked exhausted and worn out. Now his nights were practically sleepless…he was worried…constantly watching over Wisty. Anyways- he had to distract himself. Her looked at SeaBreeze, giving him a small dip in his head as greeting. He considered the tom a friend…he was one.

Hearing a call, hunters would be needed. Junipersong may just be the lousiest at hunting amidst all the warriors in the clan, and it was something she was deeply ashamed of. That being said, she had just joined the clan and barely knew Stormstar before her unfortunate passing. There was little grief to be had by the big she-cat, other than through the empathy she shared with her clanmates over such a tragic event.

As such, seeing as she was the least affected by this death, it was her responsibility to step up and do what she could to help the clan. Doubly so, considering that she had just been invited into the clan, and had to prove herself. Bad hunting skills be damned!

Stepping up, she hoped that she might get assigned to catching fish in one of the streams, or crustaceans at Lionsbeach. Pretty much the only things she had a chance at catching, as even an untrained apprentice had just as good a chance at land hunting as her.

[[ Not an applicable purrk but Junipersong should probably face some sort of penalty for any land-based hunting, as that is a consistent flaw of hers.]]
