Darkice was feeling a bit bored. He didn't know what to do, and he'd already gone on patrol today, it was still plenty early in the day and had no other patrols or duties assigned to him today, as far as he was aware. Then, he came up with a bright idea. He hoped it wouldn't be too much of a hassle for himself, but at the same time, whatever. Perhaps he could begin an event to teach the apprentices of ShadowClan a bit more about hunting techniques. But, what if there were too many apprentices? Then, maybe he could ask for warrior volunteers to assist him. In Darkice's mind, the idea was perfect

Darkice found a stone and stood tall. It was no leader stone, but it worked. "Ey, apprentices of ShadowClan," Darkice began, his deep voice booming through the camp–slightly louded than he anticipated, but it was a good thing. "C'mere! Why don't I teach ya some huntin' techniques, you all? Some stuff your mentors may have not gotten to. Somethin' you can empress 'em with. And, fellow warriors, come on up if you'd like to assist with teaching 'em. The more the merrier."

Alright, this is the second event I've made ever. I'm bored, as is Darkice, so I decided, hey, why not make an event? Then I was like, well what event should I make? Then I decided on this because Darkice would totally want to help teach apprentices, even if it means he has to get out of his shell and interact with his Clanmates.
How this will work is that Darkice will let a few volunteers help him with teaching the kits some possibly unique and helpful hunting techniques and tips they might've not known before. Everyone will go out into the territory to learn and test these skills. Your warrior can also volunteer to just help supervise the apprentices if they don't think they have much to teach or just don't want to teach.
Unfortunately, this event is not for kits, queens, or elders. Sorry, Darkice just wants to make sure everyone is safe and alright and capable here.

NEXT DARKICE POST OCTOBER 8TH 5:00PM EST, ALL CATS SHOULD BE GATHERED BEFORE THEN.

Silentpaw also slowly padded up. He was a good hunter, and he knew it. Maybe he'll help other apprentices. Or even learn something himself. Anything to help pass the time, really.

Shadepaw slunk over at the mention of training. Hunting was one thing her mentor hadn't gotten to yet... And she would make sure she knew all levels of training that was required to become a warrior. "I'm sure you will make me proud at your naming ceremony very soon..." She remembered Clovepool's soft voice filling her ears, promising pride... Soon. Not yet, but soon. She had to. She had to. And she would.

Of course. Of course Silentpaw was here too. She ignored him, didn't give any indication that she noticed him. She had more important things to do right now.

rookfire had never been one for hunting, his brief yet substancial time as enforcer had done nothing to change anything of his dislike of hunting, yet he was no fool, even with only half his vision left, rookfire could very much see the state of the recent hunting patrols and the fresh kill pile. at this rate they'd have hungry elders and kits sooner or later, especially with leafbare approaching in strides.
darkice as a cat didnt mean anything to the medic, proving to be no more than another pelt blending into the sea of unknown felines, every single one with their own story yet so far from relevancy for rookfires own one. the opportunity to do better than others, to show up despite having other duties and responsibilities, and be seen whilst doing so, however, wasnt something he would pass up on. slowly rather than his usual brisk walk, the dark furred tom wandered over to where darkice had chosen as stone as his platform which he thought to be rather silly in all honesty. a smile quirked on his lips, the warrior had called for apprentices, he was one now aye? the perfect event for him after all..
without announcing his presence in any way, rookfire took his place, striped tail coming to wrap around his body and rest upon his paws to wait for more cats to show up.

There were some cats here. Good enough. "Right then, everyone, follow me. Fellow warriors, stay close to me, apprentices stay a bit behind. We're off to begin." He started at a medium pace towards the exit of the camp, waiting for everyone else to catch up.

Next Darkice post likely this weekend, I will do my very best to not be late this time around!
