He once again turned to Mousepaw, why was he apologizing? The apprentice was the one doing his job, and yet here he was. " There's no need to apologize, you haven't done a damn thing wrong." flicking his tail at the younger tom, he continued. "I changed my mind, you can take your leave, Mousepaw. Thanks for your help." Dismissing him with a swift nod of his head, Vulturefang let his eyes drop back to Yellowpaw. What was this ditz yammering about? Sighing scornfully, he was half tempted to just ignore the apprentice and send him to his nest, but he decided he'd wait for that. " Wow! You must think pretty highly of yourself if you think I would spread rumors about you. You're funny kid, that's for damn sure." snorting out a harsh laugh, he huffed out a amused breath at the tom. " I'll punish you all right, after all, you left camp without permission and harassed an opposing clan. I don't remember assigning you to the border patrol, so you had no business being there." he drawled, if he had lips they would've been pulled back into a disappointed sneer." You apprentices aren't allowed out there alone... It's for you safety, and my sanity. So follow the rules before you piss me off anymore, understand? Good." not caring for Yellowpaw's half brained response, he went on. " Anyway punishment time," eyes squinting, he mentally searched for something that would do the trick. " I have just the job for you... You'll be scraping up the old moss in the elders den. Give that rat shack a good cleaning, and then tidy up the nests and such. Pretty simple, but it'll do." Truthfully, it felt like he was letting him off easy, but he supposed fixing up that smelly place was terrible in it's own way. Corners of his mouth flickering into a smug grin, he turned to leave. "Seeing I have more important things to do, I'll let ya get to work. Now go get em' champ." satisfied enough, he cast those last words over his broad shoulders and stalked off.

The plump sunshine tabby bounced over to Vulturefang once he was finished with his punishment, tail tip twitching with bashfullness after finding a suitable dumping ground for the old nesting stuff (aka, standing in the camp exit and extending his leg to push the pile as far into the territory as he could- a totally of about 9 inches -without technically leaving camp). "G'day, mister Vulturefang-Deputy, sir! I finished my punishment, and it's gonna be the last punishment I ever get because that's the last patrol I'm ever gonna not-do! 'Paws honor!" He chirped, ducking his head in a respectful greeting. "The warrior's den is tidy- but I could only scoot all the sticks and old moss into the territory a little, I couldn't reach very far so can I just leave it there or can someone come with me while I dump it?"

'I apologize for uh... neglecting my responsibilities. That's on me. The apprentices wandered off (ooc: lies) and I got distracted by a noise I heard, so I went to investigate. (ooc: again, lies) It will not happen again. I would hate to be exiled and leave my sister here alone.'

Dawnstar stared long and hard at Ospreysplash, tail swaying back and forth warningly. She was getting the subtle sense that she was being deceived, but as usual, couldn't pick out what she was being lied to about. So it was time to usual sound logic.
"If the apprentices had wandered off that doesn't make them any less your responsibility. You chose to let them wander off and decided to just leave them be while you investigated whatever. This explanation doesn't make me want to keep your irresponsible ass in my clan." The she-cat snarled fiercely. She was lucky Dawstar couldn't do with losing any more warriors.
"I'm taking Ruepaw from you and reassigning them to someone else. You're getting off easy here, Ospreysplash. Do not let this happen again, now get out of my sight."

Patrols that do not report in are subject to in character punishment by Elmshadow and/or Dawnstar.
Deposit herbs in the herb storage by filling out the form before reporting to Elmshadow. Depositing the herbs is more important than the report! If there is no post in the herb storage, your patrol will be counted incomplete.
Every character deposits their own herbs unless stated by a patrol lead in the herb storage.

*If none of the warriors are showing to the patrol, it is still the apprentices' responsibility to either let Elmshadow know or find another warrior to go with!

Too much had happened since the last patrols. it was high time for another round. He had other places he needed to be at the moment though so he figured he'd get these out quickly then attend to his other pressing matters.
[ @Abyssopelagic @SandWing @FrostyGalaxy @soldier ] "Honeybite, take Frostclaw and Deerpaw and Cobwebpaw to the Mourning Ruins for blessed thistle, borage, and yellow bells. All of them should be in drier, sunnier areas. The blessed thistle will be on a spiney spiky-looking stalk, borage are fuzzy round leaves that come on fuzzy green stalks but I only need the leaves, and yellow bells are drooping yellow flowers."
[ @xavier. @silverwynds @Rose @plum ] "Dogskull, I want you leading a patrol to Shadow's Break to find boneset, burnet, and chamomile." He did not generally make a habit of assigning new warriors to lead a patrol but he both trusted his son to follow through and, if he could trust it to get done, it was good experience for young warriors to have the opportunity to be in charge of something. "Bring Snowecho, Starrypaw, and Daypaw. For boneset you'll be looking for a tall cluster of white flowers, burnet is a shrub that should have red bulbs on long stems sprouting above it, and chamomile is a white petaled flower with a round yellow center." He figured this would be the last chance until the following newleaf to find chamomile and he wanted to try a technique he'd considered to try making the herbs last a bit longer, so maybe they could preserve some of the herbs like chamomile longer into leafbare.
[ @Darkclaws @bFoXd @carmen ] "Hazelstripe and Shadowedmist, bring Spiritpaw and Snakewither to find daisies, dandelions, and chickweed. Check sunny areas that get shade during the day. All of them tends to be found in areas where the ground doesn't completely dry out." Dandelions were another herb he was a bit concerned that this could be his last chance to find any and he had far less faith in Hazelstripe and Shadowedmist than he did in his son but he had to leave some things to the clan, it was there lives he was attempting to keep intact after all.
[ @lynxyboo @Theodore_510 @Tobi ] "Sagechaser, take Dovedance, Whisperingpaw, and Chirppaw to the Icy Heartlands for Lady's Mantle, lavender, and mallow. The lavender will be the easiest to find, it's long purple stalks. The lady's mantle and the mallw actually look similar with large round, wavy leaves but the lady's mantle will have lighter green to almost yellow tops while the mallow should still have some purple flowers on it."
[ @Starfinder @silas @Ladiebugg @DdeonghwaLover ] "Whiteheart, bring Spiralice, Shadepaw, and Fernpaw to Hidden Haven for stinging nettle leaves, thyme, and cobwebs. The stinging nettle, a spiky-looking stalk, will sting if you rub on it lightly, so grip firmly to pull it off or use another leaf to hold it. Thyme is easiest to catch by its smell but you'll be looking for a plant of long thin stalks with small round leaves along them."
Herbs must be deposited in the Herb Storage individually by EVERY PATROL MEMBER, unless specified by the patrol leader. Failure to deposit herbs will be considered a NO REPORT.

ShadePaw blinked. It had been a while since she had been on a patrol, as well as since she had seen any of these cats. She didn't know if she has ever met the other members of her patrol or not.

An herb patrol? Ok, sure, Deerpaw could handle that. He was, admittedly, a little disappointed his new mentor was on a separate patrol, but it would be good to make some new friends, he thought, just so long as he tried to keep his head down and any questions to a minimum. They weren't quite sure how the rest of ShadowClan would feel about their near endless curiosity and subsequently endless stream of questions that came with such a thing, but if they were anything like Batpaw...
Giving his fluffy pelt a quick lick to rid it of any dead grass or leaves, Deerpaw nodded respectfully to Elmshadow and started looking for the patrol he was assigned to, Honeybite, Frostclaw, and Cobwebpaw. Honestly, they didn't really know what any of them looked like. Perhaps he should know Cobwebpaw at the very least, but he'd never been huge on 'making friends' so he hadn't met most of the other apprentices.
Cobwebpaw huffs silently as he approaches Deerpaw. He does not say anything, he only turns his gaze to look at the ground. He feels angry - he'd much rather stay here and not go on a patrol. But he allows himself to frown and shake his head before looking at Deerpaw cautiously.
