Raccoonpelt walked into the clearing still holding his daughter by the scruff. If not for the blood the kit would have looked like she was in a peaceful slumber. Raccoonpelt went to the middle of the clearing before placing the body of Martenkit and Silversnow onto the ground making sure to be careful with both their bodies. Raccoonpelt couldn't feel anything. It was numb. What did he do to deserve this punishment of losing the ones he cares for in such a short time frame. Raccoonpelt didn't even have the voice to say anything. The tom was tried. So tried he just wanted to lay next to the two bodies and sleep. Sleep like nothing ever happened.

It was his fault

If he had just said no to the swimming lesson Martenkit and Silversnow would still be here. Alive and well. Raccoonpelt could feel the tears start to well up in his eyes once again.

LILYCREEK

The smell of blood came and went in camp like the waves on Lionsbeach. Often enough for it not to be a surprise, not often enough to remember the shock of it.
That was what it was- something that was expected yet unexpected at the same time.

And what was even more unexpected, would always be who the blood belonged to. So when Lilycreek had poked her head out of the nursery, she didn't want to see the actual body. She just wanted to make sure it was what she thought it was, but spare her and the kits of the grief of knowing who it was.

A gray and a silver body... her heart clenched. One of the body's was tiny... but the other one; Icefury? Silverpaw? Her cousin, Fogcloud? She hurriedly tried to move back inside but...wait. A black leg.

A black, front right leg.

Her eyes widened, fear pounding into her heart. No, no, it couldn't be, right? No, no no, no.

No.

"Kits, stay inside, please." She ordered shakily. Her breathing was coming in gasps. No. There was no way. That was not her daughter. Not her Silversnow. Oh no, she moaned to herself. Silversnow had taken Martenkit out for the day.

She raced forward. Not her, not her, not her, not her, her mind frantically warned her. Not her, not her, not her, not her-

Oh. Standing over the body, Lilycreek gave a screaming wail. She dropped to the ground, pulling the bodies closer. Tears streamed down her face, the blood mixing with the white fur on her undercoat. No, no no, please. No.

"No, no no," she said aloud, burying her head into her daughter's shoulder. "Not you too, baby. No, no, no." The forever queen gave another cry. "No, no, no..."

Not again. Please. Not again.

As Nightspark rested in the clearing, he saw Raccoonpelt enter the clearing holding one... No two cats! He approached curious, what was happening, and at that moment he noticed... That something wasn't right... There was blood, a lot of blood, he felt like suddenly cold, they were... Dead... He walked faster, teeth gritted, what in the Starclan's name happened? But as he approached, he didn't felt any emotions, only a deep coldness, like usually, he said "May StarClan welcome their souls for eternity in the huge plains in the sky..." he stood silent a bit, looking at the two bodies, emotionless, before turning the head toward Raccoonpelt and asked "What happened ?"

He was called from his den by the sound of muttered no's, and found himself slipping into the clearing, greeted with the site of Raccoonpelt, Lilycreek, Nightspark, and someone else- oh. Oh. OH. He pushed through the group and his mouth fell open in shock. Silversnow. Martenkit. Silversnow. Martenkit. His friend. A kid. His friend. A kid. Neither of them should be dead. Oh stars. He vaguely heard a mention of StarClan or whatever, but flicked his ear. Now wasn't the time. He turned to look at each cat, staring at each before moving towards Raccoonpelt, pressing his side against the other toms in a sign of comfort. He looked up at Lilycreek, hunched over Silversnow. Yet another cat who had lost family here. "Nightspark. Keep the kits out of the clearing. Distract them, tell them a story or something." He was holding back his own sobs, but he couldn't break now. They needed him to be strong. They needed him to hold it together because they had lost family and he knew what that felt like.

Birdpaw and Briarkit

Another body in the clearing. No, two. A tiny one. A larger one.

And familiar one, to the two cats that approached the two bodies next. One body that was like a sister two the two cats that appeared next, the next was just... nauseatingly tiny, Birdpaw and Briarkit, the latter who had gotten much larger, and was now as tall as the former.

Hurrying forward, Birdpaw wasted no time collapsing beside Silversnow after casting a horrified look at Martenkit, letting out a low wail. Not her sister. Not her sister.

Briarkit just stood there, her chest clenched and her eyes wide in horror, before hurrying to Lilycreeks side. "Lily..." She choked out, a sob building in her chest at the horror and grief for Silversnow and the pain ricocheting off of Lilycreek, burying her face in the screaming queens fur. "Lily I'm so sorry." Her emerald eyes glimpsed her brother, but she stayed melted against the forever queen, tears pouring down her face as she watched the reactions of the Clanmates. Birdpaw's hysterical, uncontrollable screaming sobs, Lilycreeks howling and Raccoonpelts grief. It was all so horrible.

Nightfall's ears lowered "oh.." she said.. Her former mentor is dead. family gone. what was she supposed to do, what is the point of being here now... But there was a point, this was also her family too. this whole clan was her family and she won't forget that this time... Nightfall lifted her head "Well then... May StarClan Light Her Path" She said calmly

"Will try... But it might be difficult..." he gave a quick look to Briarkit who was already in a trauma state, he sighed, definitely wouldn't be easy... He approached Briarkit and said, with the calmest and friendly voice he could make "Hey Briarkit, wanna hear a story?" that was the only thing he could say? Really? He really needed to take lessons... But he hoped this will work...

Cinderpaw twitched her nose as nightfall was quiet, a small surprise silently appeared on cinderpaw as she heard nightfall say words calmly," maybe starclan light her path" she said after nightfall." So uh..." The molly fiddled her paws not knowing what to say to her old friend.
