Dewkit sheathed their claws like they were told to. They almost forgot about that. "I'm Dewkit!" There was a slight squeak in their voice from all the excitement.

"Nice to meet you! Let me show you a battle stance now.." He did an acceptable battle stance.. "Now you try Dewkit! " He said smiling as his ever so light clover green eyes looked at how Dewkit was doing the battle stance.

Dewkit's yellow eyes watched Cloverpaw's stance. "This is easy!" They said, with their body too rigid and paws too far apart.

"Your a little ridged try to loosen up, and your paws are to far apart, try to scoot them in before a enemy ttys to get you!" He joked as he again showed her the correct way to do it.

Their pelt pricked with a bit of embarrassment. 'Well, at least I didn't do that with an actual mentor,' they thought. Dewkit fixed their stance, closely copying Cloverpaw this time. "Like this?" they asked.

"Yes that's excellent! You'll be an apprentice in no time!" He said happily as he sat down to groom himself a bit. After he had done that he asked.. "Anything else you would like to know? Like hunting, Climbing, and other stuff? If not you can try and battle me! I'll go easy on you!" He was having fun with the little kit, teaching them things that his mentor had..

Dewkit's eyes shone. They hoped they would become an apprentice. And then a warrior. And when they became an elder, they hoped that all the kits would fight to hear their stories. But Dewkit was getting too far ahead. They blinked and thought for a moment. "I want to fight you! And you don't have to go easy, because I'm amazing at this!"

Cloverpaw giggled.. "Okay, make sure to keep your claws in, nobody wants to get hurt!" He said as he waited.. "Whenever your ready!" He said as he wait.

Dewkit had to force their giggles down or they'd just topple over with laughter. "Okay!" They leapt forward, hoping to knock over Cloverpaw, despite being half his size. Dewkit was much too ambitious.

Cloverpaw knocked the kit over gently with his paw and giggled. He then put the kit on their back and did a belly rake but there were no claws so it just felt like a belly rub.
"In a real situation, you would be dead." He said giggling, he was having fun with the kit that was half his age.
