Dragonflypaw dipped her head to Spider, tail swishing. She was honestly a little startled at all of the cheering for her, but none of that showed on her cool features and the 'paw scanned the crowd of cats that was Thunderclan. She was proud. Yes. She wouldn't fail in this, not of her roleplayer could help it.

But wait. Was that... Dragonflycliff?

The dark, cream speckled she-cat gazed at the spectral warrior for a second, yellow eyes unreadable. Then she dipped her head. Dragonflycliff had fought valiantly- Draggonflypaw would honour her name. And if that wasn't a good omen, she didn't know what was.

The russet and brown cat dipped her head to Flintclaw before elegantly sweeping her tail around her paws and sitting at the foot of the Stormcrest, watching the apprentices call up. Her sister, Butterflypaw, was among them. At least someone would be a warrior on time. She flashed a grin to her sister, teeth gleaming.

Her grey tabby ear perked as Softwhisper heard the sound of the thunderclan meeting call, flicking her ear with worry as she heard their leader start coughing before she slowly padded over to see what bumblestar had to say, sitting a little further from everyone else, curling her tail around her striped paws.

Bumblesta-Bumblebreak was what?!, The only sign of what was going on in the brindled she-cat's mind was a slight intake of breath before she was once again calm. Oh..She was stepping down....well, no one could say she didn't deserve the rest after all she had done for thunderclan. She heard chants of Bumblebreak from nearby, and wondered whether she should join in, finally deciding against it. Her cerulean gaze drifted over to Spiderthroat as Bumblebreak called out his name, he would be a good leader, she decided, and watched Bumblebreak come down from the stormcrest, before watching Spiderthroat-star step up.

Soft's eyes slowly blinked, her gaze drifting off their new leader to the rest of the clan as she mused who the new deputy would be, before they widened slightly as she heard Spiderstar already select the new deputy, Flintclaw. He really wasn't wasting any time, was he. She was hopeful to get to know Flintclaw from afar, and learn more about what kind of cat he was.

She was impressed as the deputy flew through announcements, decisions, and ceremonies, and quietly listened to all the deputy had to say, feeling a pang of sadness as Softwhisper heard of Dragonflycliff, and although the tabby didn't know her personally, she had heard much about the calico.
Soft raised her eyes back to Spiderstar as she heard him call up Dragonflykit, hm, she had seen the kit around camp and was happy to see a new medicine cat apprentice.

Breezekit had stepped out of the nursery just in time to hear Bumblestar's announcement. Any grogginess she had felt evaporated like mist as she heard that Bumblestar was no longer Bumblestar. Not only that, but Spiderthroat was getting right to it and making position changes. There had been a lot of news over the past moon, but all of this was the cherry on top. This was the juiciest gossip of all! It was impossible to not feel stunned.

The gray kitten looked at the new Deputy and Medicine Cat apprentice. Dragonflypaw seemed quite tall to have been a kit, there had to be a reason behind that. She assumed that she had to do well; anyone could do better than the previous two. And Flintclaw? Breezekit knew little about him as well, but he seemed capable. Hopefully when she was apprenticed, she'd get him as a mentor. Deputies had to be good mentors, right? She looked over at the soon to be warriors and grinned. Good for them.

Being bundled quickly into Mudhound and Violetfreckle was something Bumblebreak should have expected. Most times she put up a fight with the close quarters, but mental and physical exhaustion wouldn't allow her this time. She pressed her nose to her mate's cheek and slumped against Mudhound, grateful for the solid support against her shoulder. "Make me build flower crowns 'n I'll strangle you with one," she threatened unseriously, allowing herself to be groomed. "Love you too, Mud."

But, good, her former deputy was getting right to it. Quicker than she had when she'd first risen to power, though in her defense they'd just dealt with the collapse of their home and the vanishing of their leader, whereas she'd handed him a (mostly) stable Clan and had stuck around to see his ascension. She didn't join in on the cheering - wasn't her style - but simply gave Flintclaw an approving smile. The tom was a good choice. Lots of fire, that one. Hopefully enough to keep it all from burning out again. Right, the Starcave... would she have to go with him? She'd taken Gentledoe and a then-apprentice Hazelflash with her, given the lack of an appointed healer or present leader. She wasn't sure how that worked formally, and hadn't that thing collapsed, anyway? Her brow creased uncertainly. Should she have waited for a better time to do this?

And that thought only solidified itself when Spiderstar revealed that Hollowpaw was gone. Bumblebreak's claws stabbed into the dirt and her ears flattened, pupils shrinking to slits. She vaguely remembered passing him on her way back into the medicine den last night, in what had apparently been his final exit. Final exit indeed, she'd have killed him if she'd known and she wanted to kill him now. Hell, if she had known, she wouldn't have even considered stepping down and leaving Spiderstar to find multiple replacements. Her eyes snapped to the den entrance, hazy thoughts of hunting resulting in a bloody end circulating her skull again, before she forced herself to rein it in. She couldn't leave now, in the middle of his first meeting. Doubted Mudhound would let her, anyway. With bristling hackles, she forced herself to refocus. Dragonflykit as his replacement. Treetiger's new apprentice. One of his kids... that's all she really knew about her. Mildly amusing, the relation there, even if it was probably more about her name and the trust he had in her. She opted to give the new healer apprentice a smile the same as the one she'd given Flintclaw.

More quick movement. She recognized Dragonflycliff's unexpected appearance among the crowd but refused to look, fearing she might break if she turned and met the warrior's gaze. Instead she focused on the soon-to-be warriors. A welcome distraction.

Cedar watches as other apprentices step forward. That's gonna be ME someday! I gotta work hard! She then realizes that Spider throat is now Spiderstar. When did this happen? she thought. Eh. A leader is a leader as long as their a good leader.

So a lot just happened. Bumblestar stepped down, Spiderthroat took control of thunderclan and immediately named Flintclaw deputy and Dragonflykit a medicine cat apprentice. Probably the fastest he's seen ranks filled in his life. Bumblestar lasted about as long as Rainpaw had lived, so he had high hopes for Spiderthroat.

Oh, warrior ceremony times. And his name was called. For the first time ever, he would be up there getting his name rather than watching cats younger than him get them. The small apprentice made his way up to the meeting spot next to the other apprentices getting their names.

Rainpaw had completed his training in one moon in ThunderClan, after over 12 spent in riverclan. His one blue eye looked back at the crowd, trying to spot Bumblebreak. He did, and gave her a small smile before turning to face the leader.

Boom! Suddenly Spiderthroat was in charge, there was a new deputy AND medicine cats. Tigerpelt started blankly at the new ranks then tilted his head when spotting the dead she-cat in the back. Although he was confused. One thing was for certain. She was still dead and yet choose to be here. Tiger let out a soft chuckle, his eyes now returning to the apprentices who's names had been called. New warriors. Finally.

Oh wow! So many changes, so little time eh? "Flintclaw! Flintclaw! Flintclaw!" He cheered at the announcement of a new deputy, that was good! A good choice, and good for the clan. He agreed with Spiderthr- Spiderstar's decision on not leaving the positions vacant. ThunderClan had been through enough, and Flintclaw more than earned the title. Working hard for the clan without the expectation of a return was a mark of a true warrior, and Flintclaw had done just that. But the announcements weren't done.

Dragonflypaw was going to replace Hollowpaw. Hollowpaw had chosen exile. His claws flexed into the ground reflexively before sheathing again. What was with those two?! Thank the stars they'd have more competent cats looking over them now. "Dragonflypaw! Dragonflypaw! Dragonflypaw!" He cheered for the new medicine cat apprentice, eyes glowing as he tried to focus on the positive. ThunderClan had been rocked hard, in unexpected ways, thanks to these otters. But the threat was handled, leadership restored, their future bright once more. As the apprentices lined up for their ceremonies, he vaguely caught a flicker of a familiar little pelt from the corner of his remaining eye.

Acornfall turned his head to see Breezekit, and he was flooded with emotions. His kits...the driving force that pushed him even harder to ensure ThunderClan's strength and durability. The large brown tabby carefully sauntered over to his daughter, not wanting to disturb the meeting but wanting to be close to her. He greeted her with a soft purr, wrapping his tail around her and bending to lick one of her ears affectionately. He then blinked towards the apprentices gathering. "You and your littermates will be -paws soon." He reflected, his voice soft and whispered. Though the thought made his chest tighten.

It seemed no matter how hard he worked, the clan continued to face threats again and again. Would his children truly be safe? But...he shook himself. The leadership was sound. It wasn't just him working on keeping ThunderClan safe and strong, many other of his clanmates were working hard. So with that...he simply had to trust. Trust, and remain vigilant. The sound of his apprentice's voice wailing caught his attention. His head turned, trying to spot Chasmpaw, and he finally saw her...standing before...Dragonflycliff!? No...it was Dragonflycliff's spirit. He felt his throat tighten with grief at the tone in Chasmpaw's voice as she pleaded with her mother's spirit, he couldn't even imagine what that felt like. But he only wrapped his tail around Breezekit tighter, making a mental note to find Chasmpaw after the meeting and check in on her.

Burnedbark nodded quietly in agreement with each new decision, cheering for each new rank announced. There were many changes, but change wasn't always bad. It was always hard, but not always bad. He had faith in this leadership, and in his clanmates. Well...most of them anyway. His eyes flickered with disappointment at the news of Hollowpaw, though he expressed nothing else. His exterior remaining as stoic as ever. Not quite cold or hard, but empty. Contemplative almost. Black-tipped ears pricked forward when he heard Butterflypaw's name called up.

His dark red-amber eyes found her, and he gave her a nod of encouragement and approval. He remembered spending time with her, and helping her with her climbing. She was more than capable. He was so focused on the apprentices gathering, soon to be made warriors, that he almost missed the ghostly appearance of Dragonflycliff. But it was hard to miss the pleas of Chasmpaw. Burnedbark's gaze snapped to Chasmpaw and the ghost-warrior, his heart feeling a pang in sympathy. His parents were alive and well, but his sister Charredpaw went missing many moons ago. Much of what Chasmpaw expressed were questions he'd have for Charred...

He bowed his head in respect to Dragonflycliff, a hero, before averting his gaze again. The moment occurring between Dragonflycliff and Chasmpaw seemed...private. Or like it should be anyway. He didn't want to intrude by watching or prying.

Sunrisepaw cheered for the new deputy and medicine cat apprentice along with her clanmates, but she stayed where she was. Hollowpaw left too? Shock. At this point, she was coming to expect others to disappoint or fail. Why would she think anything different when that's all they were proving to do?

"Flintclaw! Dragonflypaw! Flintclaw! Dragonflypaw!" Spiderpaw cheered for the newly ranked cats along with her clanmates, watching as the apprentices gathered for their warrior ceremonies. Mr. Spiderstar didn't seem to want to waste any time getting things back to feeling...normal. Spiderpaw could appreciate that, she found comfort in things that were more...routine.
