They were finally done with their training, after harassing a few no names for training and of course their parents. It had taken some time but now it was time to seek out an assessment. Wispypaw was sure they would pass it with flying color's, there was no doubt about it. They would get to have their full name alongside others that had gained theirs and wouldn't be left behind. The dark feline could go seek out their new mentor for their assessment, but there was only one cat they really trusted enough to do the job. The only place that they could think to find the one they were looking for was the medicine cats den. Dear god, they had been avoiding this place, it was where he was and they'd rather not even get a whiff of them either. Alas they can't avoid it forever since their sister was in here, so no other way to get out of it.

She was ready to snap around and glare at whomever dared interrupt her work as she studied the skeleton within the confinements of the den, berate whomever dared approach at such a bad time when she was busy. But the voice was one she recognised, and if anything could receive calm where normally lay madness it was her siblings. She was silent for several instances, unmoving, almost waiting for the pent-up feeling in her paws to dissipate and go away before raising to her paws and approaching the bigger feline. Unblinking gaze settling on them, she spoke;
"Yes."

The medicine cat could be glare or maybe not even care that the larger feline didn’t notice the body tension she seemed to have. It wasn’t like they’d be able to see it anyways and if they did by some miracle they wouldn’t be bothered. Wispypaw has already gotten used and accepted others' reaction to their approach to others. It was something they either evoked from them or somehow triggered them to anger. The only thing they could ‘feel’ per say was the others eyes on them, good they got her attention. ” I came seeking you out to give me my assessment to become a warrior” straight to the point. They never liked beating around the bush when it came to requests or inquiries.

Warrior assessment? Sleepysunrise's whiskers twitched with thought.
"About time."
She muttered under her voice, shuffling her paws as she stood next to her sibling. It had been a while since she last completed an assessment... And she was busy. But Sleepysunrise digressed, she wouldn't hold her little sibling back further. Padding past the taller feline, she flicked her tail. She assumed Wispypaw could hear her leave.
"Then let's hunt."
She declared, moving towards the territory.

Wispypaw may be blind but they sure as hell weren't deaf, especially since they had a pretty good sense of hearing. Oddly it seemed to be better compared to their other senses when ignoring their blindness. Ear slightly airplaned at the comment but made no notion they heard nor did they acknowledge it, now wasn’t the time. Besides last they check they had no problems with their older sibling besides the supposed awkward moments of silence. When they didn’t feel the presence of their sibling they followed after their scent, obviously taking it that they walked off. The paw gave a flick of their ear as they gave a simple nod and followed after without complaint for once.

Without need for word - Wispypaw had always been good at following directions - Sleepysunrise led them out of camp and into the territory. The scent of pine was heavy in the air as they traversed some land away from camp, and the young medic halted.
"You can start."
She stated plainly, stepping and into the shadows to let Wispypaw hunt in peace.

Well damn, no explanation or any kind of orders to go off of for the first part. Whatever they at least had brains to figure out what their older sibling was referring to right away. Without further adieu Wispypaw slinked away off into the shadows of their surroundings. Along with that and the use of blending in with their surroundings they became nearly undetectable to prey in the area.

Their first victim was some small rodents, most likely mice scurrying around. Keeping their steps light and staying out of sight the paw inched closer in the direction of it. Not losing any chance they lunged forward, claws unsheathed as one paw landed right on top of one mouse, and then the other paw slammed on the other mouse that was chilling with it. The third one that they heard mixed in with the other two had been snagged by their tail. With the other two already dead they made quick work with snapping the neck of the snagged one.

The apprentice hid away the three caught prey and chose to chance their luck for another round. Trailing after a scent and sounds they could hear they caught onto another poor to-be victim. They couldn’t tell exactly what it was but they didn’t care since it was something they could show off their skills. Once again they slinked their way closer in the shadows and no trace of them towards the prey. Then without a warning they leaped their paws making contact with feathery wings as they tried to flap away from reach. Yet it was no use, they made quick work pinning down the annoying wings and bite the head quickly killing it.

Wispypaw wasn’t sure exactly how much prey they ought to catch since their older sibling didn’t say much. But they would safely say that four pieces of prey was good enough. Once they went back and collected the three mice they stood waiting for the medicine cat to approach again.

Hah! Were they sitting idle? Sleepysunrise wasn't about to let that fly, no. She had made other plans from the very start. Enveloped in shadows, the young medic had traced close behind Wispypaw's steps, watching and evaluating their hunting skills to be satisfactory -- the medic wasn't too judgemental on them if the technique proved to work, besides. Now usually the apprentice would burry their prey and begin looking for her, and Sleepysunrise did wait long enough for her sibling to do just that. But the moment the last bit of dirt might be thrown over the fallen bodies, the former enforcer would emerge with a single beat to the ground and paws outstretched in a leap to land near Wispypaw. She intended to swipe and nip at their heels from various angles.

What they were expecting was for their sibling to come out and speak about the next step, how naive. They should have known that it wasn’t going to be like that, for god's sake it was an assessment. It was obvious that one wouldn’t get little warnings and what not, this was all to test their skills they learned. They made quick work in burying their caught prey before they heard a single paw on the ground. Thankfully briarsplash had told them about working on their reaction speed and they took it to heart. On purpose they let their sibling get close enough to trip them up. Right as they felt their ankles getting nipped and bite, they reared right back with a swipe of their own, trying to knock her sideways with force.

Paws disappeared from beneath her grip and the young medic didn't need to look up to figure out what that meant. In an instant, she dropped to the ground and pushed herself aside, landing neatly on prim little paws a distance away from her sibling. A small grin could be seen flash across her face, her tail waving behind her. She darted forth, intending to disorient Wispypaw by taping the ground near them again and again, followed by jumping back without actually attacking.
