Cloudedpaw sat alone in the clearing, the moonlight shimmering off of his gray pelt. To be honest, he was relieved that the moon was shining so bright. He had a terrible fear of darkness, and what might be lurking in it. The tom sighed, looking down at his paws. He really didn't understand what was going on in his life. He was crushing on Mantispaw, but Beechpaw was getting in the way. He liked Beechpaw, but not as much! Why couldn't she just see that? And, why would Mantispaw like him? He hadn't even done any training yet! Plus, how could he like Mantispaw, Beechpaw, and Bearskull? His head pounded with thought, and he flicked his tail. Oh, stars! Life was so complicated! Why was Bearskull in the Dark Forest? She wasn't bad. And she'd never do anything bad to anyone! She didn't deserve to be there. She should be in StarClan! Cloudedpaw scrunched up his eyes. Life was not fair.

Ugh- great.
So he just made a fool of himself in front of his mentor.
He's doing horrible.
He'll never become a Warrior!
Well that's what he thought-
All he did was stutter and get one questions wrong.
But it felt like the end of the world!!

He kept tossing and turning but couldn't seem to go to sleep.
that on wrong question haunted him.
He growled in annoyance and stormed out of the Apprentice den to blow off some steam.

He ended up not looking where he was going and crashed into the other apprentice.
oh no- NO NO NO.
He blushed in embaressment.
Damnit he really was a faliure!
He scrambled to his feet.

"S-sorry.. uhh."

He mumbled.
he was usually stubborn and never showed weakness
But right now he was a mess..

Cloudedpaw was suddenly woken from his trance, and let's get something straight. He did not like it. His tail tip began to twitch irritably, and his head swiveled around. I was thinking. He snapped, narrowing his eyes. And you messed me up. He grumbled, his ears twitching with annoyance.

His ears flattened in annoyance and he growled.
he tried to bite something back like he usually would...
but as soon as he opened his mouth nothing came out.
He hesitated and huffed.
Avoiding eye contact.

Starclan's sakes Dizzy, why are you such an idiot.
He tensed slightly and scowled to himself.

"Get over it- not like i hurt you."

He mumbled and scoffed.
He was so upset with himself right now..

Cloudedpaw rolled his eyes, flicking his tail in annoyance. How would you know if I'm hurt or not? The tom sniffed, narrowing his eyes. And why are you up so late? He mewed grumpily, peering forward suspiciously.

Cloudedpaw scowled at the tom's comment. I'm hurt internally! I'll never get to finish my thought! He growled, curling his tail tight around himself. Did this 'paw not understand what it was like to lose a thought? Last time he had did that, it had cost his old mentor's life and exile.
