Oh, the thaw! She had never truly experienced it before, but she loved it! As it brought her very namesake back from the icy winter. MUD!!!! Well, it was fun to her and absolutely nobody else! Well, maybe the other kits and apprentices would enjoy it, but it would sure be a mess!
Well, despite that, it would be a nice break for the queens, and she could clean the kits off after, so they wouldn't get mad at her.
Muddypaw poked her head into the nursery, "Hey, I'll watch the kits! I'll play with them for a while!" She offered. She knew that the Queens needed a bit of a break every once in a while, so why not?
And so, she bounded out into the muddy, thawed corners of the clearing, "Follow me!!" She meowed, turning around to see if anyone was following, before bouncing right into a deep puddle of mud, paws sinking in and making her go vertically before face planting in the mud. She giggled, looking up to see if anyone wanted to join her in here!

Now, muddy may have invited the kits to come play with her in the mud, but All are welcome to play!
Though, be warned, if your character isn't a kit, they may be stuck cleaning up afterwards and washing mud off of kits!
You can come up with games to play in the mud, but Muddypaw will be starting her own game in the next post, and rules will be outlined there and then editied to be in this post!

This is basically a kind of version of sharks and minnows, depending on what version you play!
1. a cat is chosen to be 'it' they sit in the mud and try to sneak up on and/or chase anyone who isn't it 2. The rest of the cats are 'mice' and must get from one side to the other without being caught by whoever is it 3. if they are caught, they then have to help the one who's 'it' catch others 4. the 'mice' keep going from one side to the other until theres one player left, that is the winner of the round! 5. The tagging will work like fighting! You can attempt to tag somebody, but it is up to the roleplayer to say if they actually get tagged 6. we'll see how many rounds we get in but i'm hoping for at least 3! 7. Feel free to join in even if we're in the middle of a round!

Owlthroat caught Muddypaw’s faceplant and found himself laughing, stirring up a racket. The enforcer made his way over, plonking his behind well clear of the mud. But well within eyesight. He wasn’t about to get his freshly groomed pelt dirty, he however would be here to watch for accidents and clean up kits. He didn’t mind them having fun, as long as he didn’t send them back to Nightshiver in this state, he owed her that at the very least.

All the sudden, a gray partly hairless kitten bounded out of the nursery, skidding to a stop and crashing into Owlthroat's flank. Shaking out bugs fur, the little kitten would gaze up at the Enforcer with wide, unblinking orange eyes. "Bug is sorry." Grubkit mewed matter-of-factly. "Siblings, come play with bug in the mud!!" Grubkit would shout over bugs shoulder.

Wildkit popped his head out of the nursery as he watched the other kits tumbling out. His ears were perked and his attention was taken. It had gotten so warm outside, which made him a bit unsure. Surely, this meant the mud would be warm, too?
Wildkit came running, his clumsy paws nearly letting him faceplant into the ground before he finally managed to reach the mud. He jumped in, though his little legs did not carry him far into the mud. He landed with a weird squelch and started bunny hopping to make it to Muddypaw's side. "I'll play!"

Bonekit heard someone calling for something.
At first he was uninterested, but then he heard one of his siblings voices calling the rest of them out there.
It was Grub.
Bonekit sat up, deciding if he wanted to keep sleeping or not, but then he out to go beside Grub. "Here." He said to bug.
Buzzardkit heard Grubkit call out for her and her siblings, and did what any responsible sister would do.
She sighed, knowing the mess this would be, but pushed herself up to follow after Bonekit. She'd do the same for any of her siblings.
"Coming Grub!" She squeaked, coming to a stop before the puddle. She dipped a paw in and her face twisted up in shock. It was freezing against her bare skin! She couldn't just jump in there like the rest of them!
Buzzardkit dipped and switched paws, spending a long time trying different tactics to get used to the cold, wet mud. She had yet to learn that avoiding the plunge would only make the process colder for longer!

Muddypaw watched as the gaggle of kits followed after her, and Owlthroat standing at the edge of the puddle. Hmmm, maybe she could get him to play, too... But she would have to think about that later! She's gotta entertain these kits! She watched a kit lacking chunks of fur leap into the mud after her, calling bug's siblings as bug did. "Yea, yea! Grub has got the right idea! C'mon everyone!" She yowled. Kit after kit, the little things ran out to join her in the mud, before she watched another one of the sparsely-furred kits skid to a stop by the puddle, seeming almost disgusted by the chilling mud.
Muddypaw wandered over the the edge where Buzzardkit was, giving her a warm smile and laying down next to them, offering her long, yet mud-covered fur to keep her warm. She turned her head back to the other kits, thinking about something to keep these little things occupied... "Hmmmmmmmm........ Oh! Oh! I know! How would you kits like to play some mouse chasing?" She grinned at the group. "Alright, here's how it's gonna work! There's gonna be one cat a round who's hunting, that'll be me this round, and they gotta stay in the mud, the other cats- Well, mice- Will be being chased! They gotta get from one side to the other of all this mud without getting got!" She purred
