Spirit’s Rest

High above the Starcave, out of view of mortal eyes in a desolate territory not belonging to either StarClan or the Dark Forest, sits Spirit’s Rest. A centerpoint, a meeting place for the Wardens who rule the skies to gather, to judge, and to discuss the ongoings of the Clans beneath their paws.

His limbs hurt. His head was pounding. He would be lying if he said the re-establishment of the Dark Forest and StarClan border left him unscathed. A brief moment of Brokenstar flashed in his mind. Gut twisting in pure worry before the Tom washed it down.

With a shudder he slowly, shakily, stood up. Paws unsteady. Well. He needed to let the Wardens know. Something felt off and truthfully, maybe he would indulge in interacting with those around him. He needed the socialization.

He sent out a shock wave, the same sensation they would get for a request to be alive once again. But more aggressive, more urgent.

Silently, the Tom awaited for the Wardens arrival.

dewkit padded her way slowly, quietly, up to the meeting, ears perking. her fur ruffled indignantly (a very nice nap had been interrupted for this) and she dipped her head to magpiewisp, settling down. not having to speak was a virtue the kit did enjoy, and she simply watched the others trickle in, no expression on her face despite the nerves brewing in her stomach. some part of dewkit wished to press up against another warden, to seek love or comfort. but she didn't.

It hit him fast and hard. Goosefury's head lifted from the pool of water he had been watching his Clan through , ears twitching. A signal this strong hadn't been felt in quite some time, not since the beginning of this whole organization, he thought.

He was there a moment later. It was funny how these things worked - a thought and he had moved from one side of the stars to the next, though admittedly he still wasn't sure where this place resided or how it all fit together.

Magpiewisp looked ruffled. Goosefury frowned. "Is there a problem? Where's Brokenstsr?"

the rumbling jolted her from her thoughts, a desperate cry. the dark tan cat raced to spirits rest. "what happened, magpiewisp? where's brokenstar?" something was wrong. very wrong. she knew of brokenstars plan to seal the border, magpiewisp travelled with the former leader. when the former medic returned without the covenant of the sky's 'leader' so-to-speak, she internally screamed. "where is brokenstar?" she demanded

Lichenflood paused mid-step, his green eyes narrowing slightly. He didn’t rush—there was no need. Whatever had caused the disturbance would still be waiting when he arrived. When he finally emerged at the gathering, his large frame was silent. He scanned the gathered spirits—Magpiewisp looked shaken, and the others were on edge.

With a calm step forward, he settled down without a word, his gaze resting on Magpiewisp. He didn’t speak immediately, waiting for the tom to gather himself. Only after a beat of silence did he murmur, voice low and steady, “Something happened, didn’t it?”

Oh ho ho?
A meeting, a talk of all the important cats in the stars and dark about the ~fate of the afterlife~ in the wake of all these.... Changes. It rang of desperate scrambling of those who'd lost the plot and their power. It rang of opportunity.

It rang of a place perfect for Silverfox!

The barriers were back up certainly, separating the light and dark once more (booo, Silverfox had been having so much fun with the lack) but certain barriers were not, so, without further ado and completely ignoring the fact that he had NOT been a warden less then a week ago, the tom joined the throng. No one had stopped him from casting judgement, from drawing power from the void between the stars to decide a cats fate after all, and though someone might comment and raise hell he doubted that there was anyone to really stop him. If there was they already wouldve, after all.
Something had changed, and the opportunistic fox was here to take advantage.


Oh it was just SO much fun! A more interesting event then had occurred in AGES, and that was saying something given the barrier dropping had been a sort of peak entertainment.

Would they yell? Argue? Plan their next steps?
Would Silverfox be met with disgust? Pleasure? Claws or raised voices? Or would the wardens be so disorganized they'd just not notice they were now numbered one more.
Really the tom didnt care which reaction he'd get (the benefit of being dead was there were few real consequences left), just that it was different.


So, sauntering into the meeting place with a jovial grin and keen eyes the tom flopped, undignified looking over Magpiewisp. Poor dear had seen better days.
"Oh darling, looking so ragged today whats got you so down?" A theatrical look around, not that he needed it to notice a certain someone who was usually in charge absence. "Where's dear Brokenstar? Im shocked he's just letting you call meetings now! Though.... I suppose Im more shocked about other things~ Let me guess, poor dear Brokenstar too? Heh, starclan's really loosing all its best, not that many of those remain~

So dont be dull dear Goosefury, its obvious something is wrong, and what that might be is clear. Do keep up and stop proving my theory on starclans diminished ability right. Its boring, at least try~"
The tom chortled, tail flicking. Really he didnt know all the details but it wasnt hard to make a few assumptions. The barrier was up, no one was kicking Silverfox out, no Brokenstar to keep order.

How fun indeed.

Snowleopard
Dark Forest Warden | Ancient ThunderClan Medicine Cat

Where claws click, mist scatters. Snowleopard stares at the ground beneath her paws with fascination. The world of the dead is changing, morphing around them. That much is obvious. When the border had initially sprung back into place, Snowleopard had been in sight of it, staring listlessly into StarClan's side. She had not crossed, no. Brokenstar had gathered all the Wardens because he'd said he'd found a potential way to seal the border, and so Snowleopard had begun her vigil.

Just sat.

And watched.

And waited.

Who knew when the next time she would be able to look into those starry lands be? Only when the shockwave came did Snowleopard finally rise. A summoning, one that reverberated in her bones and whispered for her to answer. An observant soul with a good heart, Snowleopard was, though her ears did swivel in surprise, stormy gaze flitting to the newcomer in their midsts. Who was he, and where was Brokenstar?

Something was amiss. The spiritual feline felt it seep within his dead bones. He couldn’t quite tongue it out, but something had occurred and he couldn’t figure it the hell out. His thoughts muddled from the distant signal he felt while acquired within the depths of StarClan itself. Barkblaze’s head cocked around towards the direction he felt it hit; unnaturally hard and fast. It was always like that, but not like this. Emerald hues narrowing, the white tom lifted himself up from the star-dusted ground and departed his way towards the signal of what called him there. It hadn’t taken him long, his eyes glancing around onto the already surrounding Warden members and momentarily locking on the one hosting this meeting in the first place. Hot air forcibly escaped his nostrils as the long-furred feline hoisted himself next to the gathered Wardens, green eyes locked onto Magpiewisp as he silently wondered what was going on. “What happened.” He asked nonchalantly, his tone lacking the interest that he hadn’t hoped it would bring as he waited for Magpiewisp to state what they were all gathered for. At first, he thought Brokenstar would be there with him, but he hadn’t seen him there with the ancient medicine cat as he would've hoped. A small part of him thought the old leader was running behind, but that couldn’t have been the case. Not with how dire this looked.

A meeting? Now? Well, that was certainly unexpected. Daisypool joined the others and sat near Magpiewisp, but couldn't help but notice everyone was a bit on edge and somewhat worried, as far as she could see.

"What's wrong?" She spoke softly, sitting down with her tail curled around her paws. She didn't say anything more. She could definitely tell something had happened, and that it wasn't good. She wasn't quite looking forward to it. She didn't think anyone was looking forward to it, in fact. Someone -- Dustpoppy -- had pointed out that Brokenstar was not here. She was right. Brokenstar was nowhere to be seen, and Daisypool began to grow more and more worried and anxious about what was to come.
