He was trusted with an apprentice. It surprised him, in all honesty, that Stormstar was trusting him with an apprentice. But lately, he's been doing... well not great, but better. And maybe with that he showed that he was actually worth putting trust in his job again. You would think that was pathetic, and it was, but with Riverclan... there were more than a couple felines that couldn't do their jobs properly. At least Seabreeze tries when he gets out of his nest. He sighed... Their name is Leafpaw, and they should probably get started on training because he knew his luck with apprentices, maybe this time he'll be able to see them become a warrior.
He padded his way to the apprentice den, slowly swaying his stubby tail with each step as he thought through his plans. It would depend on what Leafpaw would want to do, but maybe a territory Tour followed by a lesson would be a good start. Can't really hunt in and protect your territory without knowing when and where it was. He called into the apprentice den but didn't move to go into the space, "Leafpaw, its Seabreeze, I'm here to start your training!"

Leafpaw drowsily padded out of the Apprentice Den, her tail fluffed up and messy. Only her tail somehow. She lit up when she saw her mentor though. "Hi!" She meowed. "Seabreeze, right? What are we going to do today?"
[ i debated putting her personality as just, A LOT, so that should give you an idea of what she's like ]

"Yes, Sebreeze. I believe that starting with a territory tour, especially the borders, would be good and then we can do a lesson of your choice on the way back?" He offered, allowing the apprentice space to tell him what they want to learn first. Hunting and fishing, or swimming, would be preferable, but he wasn't too bad at fighting... he just preferred not to do it. He allowed his tail to sway slightly before he nodded his head in the direction of the camp's exit and turning tail to start walking out of camp. "So, the territory is... as I think of them, categorized by border, landmarks, and general territory." He offered in an overview as they started to walk into the open environment outside of camp.
"Right now, we are walking through what would be called, general territory. Riverclan owns it, but there aren't any nearby landmarks or borders, so it's just there, no fancy names or history." He explained, picking up a paw to wave towards the world around them, slowing down a smidge to take in the sight of the new land which wasn't even that familiar to him. They had moved in a couple moons ago but it wasn't quite the same, no use in reminiscing now though. He continued to walk through their territory towards the landmarks that he knew and soon they were padding into Sleepy Thicket.
Quote:
A quiet patch of trees, Sleepy Thicket is best known for the legend surrounding it.
It is believed that a headless cat spirit wanders these woods, seeking to reclaim his lost skull.
Many cats think the ghost belongs to Hawkstar, an ancient RiverClan leader slain in the first Evil Era
-- but the spirit's true identity is unknown.
Even to this day, some cats think they've seen him-- but is it true?
For those bold enough to wander these woods despite the sightings,
some prey animals can be caught here, including ground rodents and squirrels.
"This here is Sleepy Thicket, it's the burial place for Riverclan. People say that it's haunted/" He offers as he looks around the forested area, and then turns his attention to the apprentice. "Next we'll check out the Thunderclan border."

"This here is Sleepy Thicket, it's an old burial place for Riverclan before it was recently moved. People say that it's haunted/" He offers as he looks around the forested area, and then turns his attention to the apprentice. "Next we'll check out the Thunderclan border."
Leafpaw nodded. She... didn't like ghosts. She had gotten spooked because a white cat had walked into the apprentice den at night. "Is there actually a ghost here?" She asked.

Seabreeze shrugged, "It wouldn't be out of this world to say that this place is haunted or not. Though with how many cats that're buried here, I would say there probably is, statistically." He spoke before realizing that the idea of ghost cats could be frightening even though all
of Starclan is worshiped and it's nothing but ghost cats. "Nothing to be frightened of, same as Starclan or the Dark Forest." Though then he was leading them onwards to the the thunderclan border.
Quote:
Smallpines consists of small clearings that line the riverbank. On ThunderClan's side there are young pine trees that signal the start of their lush forested territory. Meanwhile, RiverClan's side is comprised of a variety of undergrowth including reeds, cattails, and overhanging willows.
The trees became less and less until the river could be heard and all around them it was mostly just river reeds and some willows. He slowed to a stop in front of the river that looked a bit more sluggish than usual. But perhaps that was his anxiety flittering up into placebo. "This is the border we share with Thunderclan, the Smallpines. As expected our side of the border is on this side of the river. And their's is on the other bank of the river." He paused and allowed the apprentice some time to ask questions.

"Why couldn't we just swim over to fight ThunderClan?" Leafpaw asked. "They can't swim over here, and we could just-" She stopped, thinking she might be offending the older warrior. "Sorry."

Seabreeze blinked and gave a shrug, it was strange to him how battle hungry the younger felines always seemed to have. It wouldn't be until they faced their first battle that they will realize that its not all glory and kit stories, words wouldn't do the experience justice, yet Seabreeze tried. "Battle isn't something that should be sought, battle should only be something that is neccessary. Facing other clans in a fight of claw and teeth... there's nothing glorious or brave about it, it's life or death." Then after a moment he added on, "Violence for violence is language of beasts."
Then he was swaying his tail before started away from the border and into their next landmark, Seagrass fields.
Quote:
Not far from RiverClan's camp lies Seagrass Fields, where fallen Clanmates rest. The land slopes down into what appears to be a seemingly endless sea of tall, soft grass that comes to life and rolls with every breeze. With soil that is mostly damp from the abundance of low, it makes for the perfect spot to bury those who have passed.
Cutting through the sea of grass eventually reveals a stretch of land that sits before a shallow pond. It rests near the edge of cliffs that overlook the sea and the waves that crash below. The pond is often eerily still, with the water only coming up as high as the average cat's shoulders.
A shroud of mist coats the ground nearly all times of the day, often snaking around the steps that cats take within the area. Though it never rises above belly-height, it makes hunting in the area nearly impossible as it provides too much coverage for prey, and the pond yields no fish. It is, however, an abundant spot for herb collecting due to its soil and provided shade from trees that tower at the edge of the clearing.
"This is a newer piece of the territory so I'm not too familiar with it myself. If you don't have any questions, we'll be continuing on." He offered and waited just in cause Leafpaw wanted to speak before continuing even further into the territory.
Quote:
Despite the swampy water that separates Saltmeadow Marsh, marshland is prominent on both sides. The land is generally flat and covered in brush, though neither Clan has issues crossing parts of the river. During the rainy season, the mud can get tricky and make patrolling difficult
"This is the border we share with Shadowclan, Saltmeadow Marsh, its not fully water and its not fully land, so all it really is a whole lot of mud... which means bugs... which means bites- Look, just not my favorite place in the world and Shadowclan is a clan that we will always have to be careful around." Seabreeze paused a away from the border a smidge and kept a careful eye on Leafpaw so she didn't accidentally cross it, "Any questions?

Seabreeze flicked his tail but continued onwards to the final landamrk they would be going to. The grass beneath their paws slowly turned to sand as Lionsbeach started to form around them like sea foam forming on its waves. An image slowly built, but beautiful for what it is worth. “This is lionsbeach. The final landmark that we have currently.” The former lionheart explained with a gance at his apprentice. “I would bring you to the windclan border but its been banned from visitors at this time.” Because his clan mates didn’t know common sense. “What did you want to do next?” Hunting was a preference of seab’s but this was Leafpaw’s training, not his.
