A totally-not-a-rani but instead a very handsome seal with human legs and a mustachio asks: "So Spiderstar has hit the ground running but also made some Choices for the medicine cat role. After how much trouble past cats in that role have created, would you have made the same choices? Or, had you had the staying power to do so, would your next task be to revolutionize the role as you did thunderclan?"

Bumblebreak shifts, her brow pinching in deep thought. "I don't really disagree with any choice he's made, exactly. Well, one, I guess, in that he let Fadingpaw walk away after everything. If it were me still callin' the shots he'd have been dead before he hit the ground and dumped out for the buzzards in that little spot I found in the Outskirts. He's only alive 'cause Spiderstar didn't make that choice. Wouldn't've given Hollowpaw the opportunity to step down neither, at least, not 'till he had his replacement trained up."

She looks down and flexes her claws. "Dunno so much about 'revolutionizin''. If I could take on all the work myself, lead and heal, I would, but about all I've got a knack for is poisons without countin' the ragweed 'n I'd run myself into the ground even quicker if I tried. Treetiger's a good choice, though, I think. Kinda... Well, she seems kinda twitchy sometimes, 'n she's a little intense, but I like intense. We need intense right now, keep us rollin' forward. Haven't talked much with Dragonflypaw, but if she's anything like her dad, then maybe she's okay." A shadow of doubt darkens her expression. "'Course, I've had good feelings about healers before, 'n look how all three turned out. I'm not about to get my hopes up here. Only leads to disappointment 'n anger."

Bumblebreak's ears twitch as if they want to flatten at the question but resist the impulse. She shifts around to look but doesn't lift her head from her nest to answer. "Exhausting. An honor, don't get me wrong, but exhausting. Everything with RiverClan, ShadowClan, hell, even that one spat with WindClan, 'n then all the predator crap we had to deal with over the moons, not even countin' the internal drama... stars, I feel like I've aged eighty moons. Barely got time with my mate. Feels like I never had time for my kid." There's a slight hitch in her voice and she coughs to clear it. "I'm glad it was me. That I was the one to build it back up, 'cause it wasn't like anyone else was fit for it. But if I ever have to do it again, I hope it won't last as long. I dunno if I would last. 'N I don't really fancy dyin' exhausted."

i definitely feel prehistoric. don't be in charge of battle cats while trying to get through college kids it'll age you twenty years in five minutes

if lupine survives that long, I might end up giving him a mustache. i like to think he'd twirl it and cackle but the guy can barely even handle facing someone his size in a fight so I don't think it'll have much weight. at most he'll probably just sound like this guy
