Muddypaw was proud of her progress. In no time, she was going to be a warrior! Eeeeek!!! Of course, not the best one like her little kit mind had spun up all those moons ago, but a warrior! Stars it would be amazing! Being able to go out of camp whenever? Being able to chase off cats from their territory all on her own? Well, maybe not all on her own, but she knew what she meant! Probably!... Anyways. She sat, watching the foliage shift above her, a large grin stretched across her muzzle with joy and anticipation. She would have her assessment soon.... and it would be amazing!
Hm, what could she do, she had to prepare! She had to get this energy out, but where?... Her tail twitched and per paws shifted. Despite the large grin on her muzzle, her restlessness was hard to ignore.

Newtbelly emerged from the warriors' den, carrying a great clump of old moss. It was about time he cleared his nest out. Honestly, he'd been forgetting about it all moon and the dryness of it was bugging him. He'd make sure to grab some fresh stuff from the camp's cedar's, when he got back in. The tortoiseshell quickly exited camp, tossing it into the foliage, then returned.
As he headed toward one of the cedars he noticed an apprentice sitting about. Muddypaw, wasn't it? She certainly looked happy, practically bursting with energy. "Morning," he greeted her briefly, then began to peel some moss from a nearby cedar. Hm, the elders could probably do with some moss too, couldn't they? It could be a perfect use for the apprentice's energy. "D'you wanna help me gather some moss? No doubt the elders could use some more." He motioned to the mossy tree with his head.

She flicked her ear, looking to the cat speaking to her. "Oh, hiya Mr. Newtbelly Sir!" She chirped her formal-informal greeting. "Oh, yeah, sure!" She bounced to her paws, padding after Newtbelly to mossy tree. "Speaking of moss, I need to clean out my own nest! It's sooooo dirty!" She thought out loud. Of course it was dirty, it was her nest, she was always dirty. But that was ok! Just cause she was a mess didn't mean she didn't wanna be comfortable!

Goodness, some apprentices really were more polite than others. He was pretty sure Turtlepaw had called him sir too - he didn't think such a level of respect was particularly necessary, but he'd never tell a 'paw to stop saying it. More than anything, he was happy to have someone to help with this chore. "Can't imagine you'll have that nest much longer though, isn't your warrior ceremony coming up soon?" He asked with a head tilt. Apprentices didn't get stuck as apprentices for far too long in this clan, spare a few outliers. There were plenty of cats happy to provide training at a moment's notice. She seemed of the age to become a warrior, plus, she was basically brimming with joy over something. He continued to peel at the moss as he waited for a response.

I got everythin else done!" She purred with joy. She was confident that she would pass, and she tried her best to block out any thoughts that would say she wouldn't She had no clue where those thought's were coming from, cause she was pretty good at fighting! Her claws seemed to dig into the moss even firmer as she beamed. All that energy had to go somewhere, of course.

Ah, he'd guessed well for once. He wasn't often one for reading emotions well, but this apprentice was basically brimming with them. "Ah you should be proud," he commented as he peeled a large wad of moss from the bark. Oo, that was a good one - quite satisfying indeed. No getting lost in moss though, wasn't it a bit embarrassing for a grown warrior to find such joy in perfectly peeled moss? Himself, no less. "Becoming a ShadowClan warrior is hard, we have high standards, unlike the others." It was said lightheartedly, but it was what he believed to be true. "It seems those fish and squirrels will promote anyone who can so much as lift a paw, these days," the calico scoffed. "It's a big accomplishment." He gave a small nod in acknowledgement of her success.
